Never even made it to the first appointment. Gustavson tried to tell me that my children required pediatrician referrals after having already received authorizations to treat them from the overseeing Medical Group. Was very unprofessional while on the phone as well.
Margaret Gustavson shared too much of her personal life with me. During more than one session, Gustavson talked to me about her divorce. Sometimes, she would catch herself and realize that she was sharing too much and apologize. A couple times, instead of apologizing, she laughed and said, “I really shouldn’t be sharing this with you.” My client-therapist relationship with Gustavson was confusing, because I felt that I needed to take care of her. After I stopped seeing Gustavson, I gave up on therapy b/c my experience with her was unhelpful. Eventually, I went to see another therapist – who was very professional and never made me feel as if I needed to take care of her personal problems.
