One thing I especially like is the neatness and cleanliness of the office and the bays. Having spent a half-century in aircraft maintenance and operations, I understand how important cleanliness is to safety and efficiency.

I came in for a vehicle inspection; the office staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, especially when I had to leave - with my car - for an interview and return later to finish the inspection. I felt the findings & report were accurate and quite comprehensive.

The A/C in my car wasn’t working even after trying to do a recharge myself. Brought it in for an A/C service. Wound up needing to replace the compressor and got it back within 48 hours working perfectly. No more days with my windows rolled down in triple digits.

My breaks were failing right before a trip to San Diego, I’ve never had breaks fail before; it was scary! Mark took in my car, even with Memorial Day weekend and fixed my car before my trip. On my way south, I noticed my cruise control wasn’t working. Since the gadget was right next to where they were working on the breaks, they let me bring my car in after my trip and only charged me for the part. I am so grateful!!! It wasn’t their fault that it broke, my car is 11 years old and has been around the country in all types of climates. These guys are incredible, Mark is awesome. I have gone here multiple times for servicing my car and always had a good experience. This is a AAA recommended service center in our neighborhood.Recently, I went in with an issue with a weak alternator on my Toyota Solara and they where able to fix that promptly. Also did the AAA recommended inspection where they sent a detailed report with photos, recommendations and priorities for fixing the issues with approximate costs. It was easy with that level of detail for a customer to pick the critical ones and fix them.Good job guys.

I was looking for a shop to take my car because dealerships I have never had a good experience. So after looking around I found Preferred Auto Centre and let me just say I was blown away by service and the overall experience. From the time you walk in to the time you leave you are in good hands. Preferred Auto successfully fixed longtime quirks in my Wrangler which a nearby dealer had either didnt listen to me about or were unable to fix. And I get immediate attention, like these are my longtime friends, whenever I come in, too. Unlike the dealer who tends to ignore me standing there for 10 to 30min. Receiving photos of problems before fixing is pretty cool, too!

The car was making loud noises so I called up on Monday and was able to bring it in on Tuesday. Mark was able to provide me with a list of items that required immediate attention. They even got me new tires at a great price. Everything was done in one day and the car is not making any more noise. I can always trust that they only sell me what I need. Stopped by Preferred Auto when I had some sudden big problems with my car, I didnt even have an appointment just called and dropped my car off that day. Theres a car rental place next door with affordable rates, so its very convenient for a last minute emergency. Not only did they have my car fixed up with a pretty quick turnaround, even with ordering parts, they do a full inspection and provide detailed explanations, photos, and cost estimates for what else might need repair or upgrades on the car. Super thorough job and I would definitely go back!

Excellent mechanic. Each time I come in they are friendly and flexible. I never want to get repairs done, but Preferred does a good job of being transparent and candid about what needs to be done. They send you a report with photos showing the status before deciding on the repairs, which is incredible. Really glad I found this place, and Im reminded each time I need repairs/service. I cant begin to say how incredibly impressed we were with Preferred Auto. Our sons car was left on campus at Pepperdine in California for over a year and a half due to the pandemic shutting everything down. I called Preferred from Connecticut and spoke with Crista, who took excellent care of us. She worked with their team to run a full diagnostic on the car, emailed us the most impressive report I have ever seen on any car I have ever owned, adressed all of our needs, helped us rent a car through Midway, and they were even so thoughtful to have the car washed so it was free of the one inch layer of dust that collected on the car during the pandemic. I cant say enough about what an incredibly positive experience we had with Preferred Auto. I would HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for a business that will take great care of your car and you.

I have been a long time customer for many years and always feel welcomed and never worry about leaving my car there or overnight. They are honest and run a clean tight ship there. I recently had both of my vehicles there for service and the one was in the shop twice and we finally decided to replace the V8 engine with a new rebuilt V8 motor. My car was due for several scheduled maintenance items, as well as a General all over check. I dropped my car off at 8am and they had everything done at 4:30! I feel safer with new brake pads, and just knowing that my coolant system, transmission fluid, brake fluid, etc is all in great shape now. I was only a few hours into a vacation driving up the CA coast when something started to feel wrong with my Jeep Patriot. I found Preferred Auto Centre online and crossed my fingers they’d be able to help me out so that my vacation wouldn’t have to come to an early end. Mark was extremely professional and diagnosed the issue (spark plugs) very quickly. In only a couple of hours, I was back on the road with my Jeep feeling totally back to normal. Preferred Auto Center fixed an A/C leak in my 14 F150 back in February... when the air started blowing hot again in August and a full heat wave, I was super bummed. When I took it back they told me it was still under warranty and squeezed me in to fix it. They found a valve that had loosened. This may not have even been their fault, but they fixed it and recharged the system at no cost to me..Thanks you guys for taking care of me and my truck. Its much appreciated!!darrell rae

Mark said bring it in and take a look as I had an oil leak everywhere, diagnosed the issue ordered the part and my car was fixed the next day which was fast as it was a difficult job to get to it. I’m super thankful for everyone that works here and takes special care of my truck!! Finally all my gauges in my 78 Chevy are working great and the UGLY after market oil pressure gauge is gone!! Little by little my beautiful truck is getting back to perfection! Let me say that not knowing my temperature gauge was completely unplugged and not working was completely upsetting and scary as I could have blown my whole entire engine, that’s really scary to think about. Thankfully the crew got everything working great and now I’m back on the road safe and with peace of mind. I was looking for an independent service provider for my Hyundai and came across Preferred Auto Centre. I was very impressed with their service and technology! I received text and email updates on my car as well as photos of the proposed services, explaining why they were needed and breaking down the cost, which was very transparent. I went to the shop per the recommendation of the smog shop next door. My car had the check engine light on. The smog business provided me with the codes as reference. Anthony from Preferred Auto came out and took his time to look at my car. We figured that one code could be easily fixed by replacing the gas cap with a factory one, and the other had to go in to get evaluated. I left the car with them. They were courteous, provided me feedback via text and email, were honest and their pricing is fair/honest. They provide AAA discounts. They will be my “go to” shop moving forward with my Toyota and Nissan.

I knew this shop was here, but never tried it out. I landed here because of an emergency tow and recommendation. To say Im pleased understates the situation. In-take was more like my dentists office than some of the shops Ive been to and never returned. I figured with a nice office and super clean shop, I was going to pay for that by them inflating their prices or finding all sorts of other things wrong with the truck (think Shaver Dodge). Nope, nothing of the like. Their prices were right in line with the area, even though I probably could have found a little cheaper if I wanted to shop around for the repair. But I couldnt have found better communications, speed of a repair that required a bit of deep surgery, more interest in keeping a customer, and other little value-added things. For my bigger repairs and maintenance, Ill be back here. Its pretty rare that I can be sold on a shop in a single repair. Nice job!

Whenever you try a new auto repair garage, I always fear getting ripped off. Not so the case with Mark and his team.I brought in one of our vehicles, assuming an expensive repair job was in my future. I can’t speak highly enough of Mark and Preferred Auto. We’ve been going to this shop for many years are have always been extremely satisfied with the level of service. Recently we had a problem with our 2006 Honda Odyssey (180,000 miles). It had developed a significant vibration that would kick in between 60 and 70 mph. Front end vibration has been a recurring problem with this vehicle and appears to be common in this model and year. Mark ended up replacing both front axles and had us drive the vehicle for a couple of days before billing us for the work to be sure the problem was fixed. Bottom line, the vibration is gone. Another job well done.
