NEVER ever rent a car from these jokers! No customer service whatsoever, and there time on Google is wrong. They rented the vehicle to Amazon that I had reserved and then they called me THE DAY OF MY TRIP to tell me that they didnt have the vehicle I booked. So, in the coming weeks, I will guarantee at least 100 negative reviews! Thats just me being nice!

Booked a cargo van couple weeks in advance. Paid for insurance too. I used a debit card to make the reservation and with other rental cars, I never had a problem putting a deposit on my card. I looked at the fine print it also said credit card or debit, as long as you got the funds in your account I thought Id be fine. Got there and instantly turned me down. They demanded I use a credit card, even asked if I had friends I could use theres. I had enough funds on my debit card, but Im paying off my credit card and I really couldnt use it. I flew instead and dont regret it one bit.Im giving them 2 stars because it was a painless experience canceling the reservation (did it so fast, seems like they do it all the time). And the guy was nice.

Had some issues with the vehicle but the men in the shop, I believe their names were Davey, and david or daniel. I cant remember unfortunately.But those two were great.I was very upset and angry over the vehicle issues and was kind of rude to them both, they both stayed calm and were very patient and understanding. They apologized and helped fix the problem as best as possible. I really recommend this location. The energy and vibe they carried was great. Super friendly and very willing to take in problems and handle them the best they can. Extremely fair business and totally life saver.During pick up and drop off they had the best customer service ever.I felt bad for getting so angry and snappy and greatly appreciate how they handled it all and reacted. Thank you!

If I could give this 0/5 stars I would. We arrived at the Hertz location and Dan at the counter was condescending and incredibly unhelpful. After arriving from New York we were unable to get our rental reservation and when we asked for recommendations on where to look for another option, he told us that “there is a national shortage” and couldn’t help us.We found a car rental option 20 minutes down the road with Fox Rental (super helpful compared to what we just went through). So I’m not really sure how much of a shortage there is but the lack of attempt to even help was awful. We stood outside the store for an hour in the sun with men harassing us while Dan looked through the glass windows and did nothing with no customers inside.Do not use this Hertz location.

I cant see why anyone would give this Hertz Location 1 Star Reviews. Daniel, Tim and Dave go above and beyond what is expected. They have always treated me right. Daniel and his Team even helped my sister out when she was visiting on leave from the Military. All of these individuals are very respectful and well spoken. Ill definitely be returning this location. Thanks Daniel, Tim and Dave for always providing service with a smile!

Do not rent from this hertz!! They canceled my booking for no reason. They prioritize insurance claims rentals over personal rentals. They don’t care if you have booked weeks in advance. Walked by this hertz location after they canceled on me and the hertz parking lot had rentals.

Daniel was extremely rude. We arrived later than expected because our fight was delayed and he told us that it was our fault. He told us they gave out rental way. He offered no apology about anything and offered no help. My friend had to tell him to tone down his attitude and even then he didn’t apologize. He does not need to be working in customer service. I would not recommend this place as long as he’s the person at the front counter. I asked him about my deposit for the rental and he told me to call customer service about it. He totally ruined my experience here. Never again.

I was in a really tough spot because my car needed service and the dealership was out of loaner vehicles. Danny was able to find me a vehicle, and get me on the road quickly and with no hassles. The rental drove well, and Hertzs loss damage waiver (LDW) really gave me peice of mind, for a great overall experience. If you dont know what the LDW is, just ask. $25 is totally worth it!

Daniel R Orey is extremely rude. He laughed and taunted my fiance with a terrible attitude after she booked a rental on Expedia. She just got in a car accident and he was of no help. Told us to go away. He should not work in customer service. How in the world was she supposed to know you didnt have any rentals? What a terrible person

Do not book a rental car here! The reviews are bad for a reason. Not only did they not have the car I booked and left me stranded in Denver, they refused to help me locate a car. Just like the other reviews say, they lied and said they didnt have a working phone number to tell me they cancelled my rental. The manager Daniel is very rude and told me flat out he was not going to help me saying It wasnt him problem. They need new management asap and Im surprised Hertz ( seeing all the problems) hasnt made a change.

I rented a rental here and they said to just come before they closed. I did so and upon my arrival they informed me they had given away my rental. They also offered me a new car that was double the price, which I refused. Their website said they had other cars within my price range but they claimed they didn’t have those cars despite what their website says. Would not recommend and will not ever be coming back.

I reserved a SUV for 1030 am, I called at 1230 the I was running late. The SUV was already given away, they tried to call me before (Ive rented from Hertz many times and my number has always been in their system). All they had available was a minivan. Would appear that this location doesnt carry enough inventory so would not advise renting renting from this location, quite apparent they are more concerned with moving cars in and out than accommodating their customers and existing reservations. From other reviews, appears this is a chronic problem. Now I see why expedia has them at a 35% satisfaction score... AVOID.

Everyone I interacted with every time I went in was super friendly and nice. I didn’t reserve a car in advance but it wasn’t a problem. They were great about showing me different cars and helping me get the best one to suit my needs. I don’t understand all the bad reviews because honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Showed up with a reservation and was told the car wasnt available but they did have one for $200/day more. Daniel was rude and unhelpful and acted like it was my fault. He offered no solutions and just shrugged when I asked what I was supposed to do now that I was stranded. Horrible, horrible experience. I went to enterprise down the street.

Came here after the Broomfield location gave me a much smaller vehicle than was promised by insurance. I let them know I was moving and they booked me a mini van that I could put the seats down in. After a terrible day of my car being totaled, Ellen was such a help. Great customer service and very friendly!

Booked an SUV weeks if not a month prior, get to the rental counter and they claim they’ve been trying to reach me since the booking was made to let me know they don’t have any cars available but “there wasn’t a valid phone number on file for me.” Surprising seeing as I got multiple confirmation emails and a text message that said my car was ready for pick up. I’ve also only ever had one phone number so unsure what phone number they supposedly had for me. The guy was completely unapologetic and didn’t even attempt to help us find another location to try. Luckily we found a great deal same day with Enterprise down the street. Will never give hertz our business again.

The customer service at this location is terrible. I was in an accident and my insurance company made arrangements for my rental here. I have 4 children and requested a full-size car to accommodate car seats. They could only offer me a mid-size. When I arrived on time to pick up the car they gave me a compact that smelled like smoke. My kids cried when I was forced to squeeze them all into it. I called the next day to try to exchange cars. They said they didnt have any available and were COMPLETELY unwilling to help me. I brought the car back one day and 30 minutes after renting it. I was charged for two days even after expressing my frustrations. Do not rent from this Hertz! This is the worst experience I have EVER had renting a car.

“Regional manager” has very rude manners. Never coming back to this location. They said that I lost my prepaid reservation because I called 45 min after I was supposed to pick up my car. I looked online and their policy says 2 hours!!! When I asked her for help was very unwilling to help and had a ver sarcastic tone. When asked for someone different for assistance told me that she was the regional manager. This last works morning shifts, I hope that you never have to deal with her.

I made my reservation 2 months prior to scheduled pick up. I called the night before to confirm scheduled pickup to and got confirmation.I called them when in route for pickup and the manager said they had no cars left. Didnt offer to help me or anything actually was a jerk. I ask to talked to his manager and he said he was the manager and would not let me talk to anyone else. He went I to saying they tired to call me but didnt have a current number, like calling was going to fix the fact I didnt have a car.This cost me time and money.They have poor business ethics, do not try an rent from them.Carla

Straight up pieces of shyte working at this location. They wait until the day of my rental to tell me that they won’t have any cars. So I call corporate and they tell me that the Thornton HLE is trash and they try to fix it and make them give me a car since they were in violation of policy by not alerting corporate that they were out of cars so people could no longer book them. Well I stay on hold with corporate so they can call this location and sort it out. Well the guy at the location hung up on corporate. Trash people at this location!!! Do not use this place.

1. When I arrived, they told me to leave for 2 hours because they didnt have my car that I booked a week and a half prior.2. I had booked a compact car, and they gave me an SUV instead, which I was not comfortable driving or paying the additional 2-3 times in gas for using. The manager (I suppose) then said I can have a new car at the same rate, and taking this car was my only option.3. They lied about the rate and charged me the rate for the upgraded car.4. The agent gave me a more expensive insurance package than what I booked online (and different from what told him I wanted in-store), prompting approximately a $100 up-charge.5. Finally, reaching customer service (through corporate) took 17 calls over 4 days to fix the billing issues. Seventeen calls. I am putting this in the review because I wouldnt have had to waste so much time on hold only to be disconnected if this location had a modicum of customer service and trustworthiness.

So disappointed in the lack of communication in this company... Not only has Hertz charged both me and my insurance company for the same bill but after both me, and my insurance company provided them with documentation of this I am still being charged almost $2,000 .... Every time I contact Hertz I get the run around, I have provided bank Statements, receipts of this bill and more... this has been going on for months. Starting in November 2018! I am honestly in shock at how poorly this has gone.... If you make a mistake just fix it. I would never recommend a company that has such poor bussiness ethics.

I have had a great experience with all the guys at this location. I have been in a rental since mid September which is now going on a month and half. I have had nothing but good positive communication and experiences with them. They have helped tremendously as I live in Thorton and commute al the way to Loveland so renewing my rental each week has been a breeze with them! I don’t know how hard it is to make sure you put your reservation in and communicate with them, but if you do your part, they do theirs and go above and beyond!Thank you guys!

We booked a car seat ahead of time for our 15 month old daughter, they said the reservation did not show a car seat and were told that happens all the time when you book through a third party like Expedia, you have to book directly through Hertz. They did not have a car seat on site so I asked if any of the other locations nearby had one we could borrow, the woman hastily called another location and told me that no one has one. We bought a car seat at the first store we passed. Other Herz locations have been fine in my experience but I would not do business here again.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. We had a rental for 24 hours that was originally booked through Priceline at $9.99. Great deal! We picked up our vehicle at 11 pm on Thursday and we’re set to return it by 3pm on Friday. We called the store to see what it would cost to extend our reservation one day. It was going to be over $200 so we told the gentleman we spoke to never mind and we would just have it back by 3 pm on Friday. He then told us, “it looks like you are in the system to return it at 10am Saturday since the original reservation is less than 24 hours”. I asked if there would be additional charges since that would make the reservation over 24 hours and I was told no.We just went to return the car and were told our total was $205 as we were charged an additional day. We explained to the manager the conversation we had with the employee the day before and he said “I doubt he would say that, he would have explained the reservation was 24 hours and the car would need to be back by 10pm”. Regardless of what the manager “thought” the employee might say, had we known we needed to have the car returned by 10pm, we would have had it returned. We had no reason to try and cheat the system. We called the morning before to avoid this exact situation.The manager did end up charging us the same price we’d paid for the day before, $9.99 for the additional day with an additional $10 reservation change fee, but being charged anything additional for his employees screwup is extremely frustrating and unethical as a business. Hertz could afford to cover their employees screwup but we are the ones who had to pay for his misspoken error.This one really “hertz”.

Very unprofessional I was on my way to colorado when I had landed a guy named Ethan had left me a message telling me that there was a recall on over 5000 vehicles and they had to cancel my reservation I couldnt believe he called me the last minute very unprofessional and all he could say was Im sorry he could of done more than that especially when your ready to go pick up your rental vehicle never ever again will I deal with hertz so unprofessional!!!

Rent from anywhere but here! They called me two hours before my rental time to tell me they didnt have a vehicle for me and didnt know how many days I would have to wait for one. The reservation had been made two months prior. I was told to call back in two days when the manager would be onsite to assist me. Corporate only advised that I speak with the local manager. ***DO NOT RENT HERE***The agent Zack has no clue what customer service is, called me after closing the Friday before I was to pick up my car that was PREPAID and tells me I need to rebook my reservation because they cant get my car. No option for another car or anything. Two different occasions they FAILED the last time was getting a pick-up and drop off. Only location Ive ever had such poor service. By far the worst customer service one could receive. I received a call stating they received a request from my insurance company to set me up with a rental while my car was being repaired. I called per their recommendation (Thornton Location) and was met with complete rude and disrespectful behavior. I was told to call back when I had exact pick up time rather than a 20 minute time frame which I had given because of my hour+ commute. When I called back the answer on the other line was name and number. I responded by stating my name and number and was told I am with a customer before the employee promptly hung up. I never received a call back and had to call back multiple times prior to setting up a rental. Employee was very rude, short, and clearly spends way to much time on her smart phone as she has not the first clue in how to interact with intelligible human beings. Bottom line, I will never do business her again and never would have if it was my choice. Way to represent your company Rhea.

Was 20 minutes for reservation, had to wait 2 hours for someone to show up at the office to get the rental car. After waiting 2 hours outside in the rain and cold they didnt give us any sort of discount. Worst car rental place in all of USA. Turns out Manager was inside the building in the very back, so we waited 2 hours in snow and rain when the manager was IN THE BUILDING but had all the doors locked DURING BUSSINESS HOURS! DO NOT GO HERE, WORST SERVICE IN NORTH AMERICA

My experience with the Thornton Hertz location was nothing short of horrific. I had made a reservation to pick up a car for a business trip planned for June 25th – June 28th at the Thornton Hertz, and the car was supposed to be available at 12:00PM. My flight to Colorado was slightly delayed, but I called the Thornton Hertz at 12:15 to let them know I would be there within five minutes. The response I received from the employee was undoubtedly the most inconsiderate, unprofessional customer service interaction I have ever had.The employee, Dan, informed me that he had already rented my car out earlier in the day, and that he had no other cars available at that location. His tone and demeanor were unbelievably rude, bordering on sarcastic, and at no point did he offer to help me find another car, contact another location, or assist me in any way, shape, or form. When I told him that that was no way to run a business, he replied “well, this is how it works here,” in a tone that clearly said “deal with it and piss off.” When I asked him for his last name so that I could mention it in my corporate complaint, he informed me that he did not have a last name. When I asked him to speak to a supervisor, he proceeded to give me a fake phone number.At this point, I was exhausted and frustrated, and stranded in a city where I had no car or means of transportation. I called Hertz Customer Service and explained the situation, and a helpful woman wrote a report on my account and informed me that a supervisor would be contacting me within an hour.Three hours later, I still had not received a call. I called again, filed a second complaint, and was again told that I would be contacted by an area supervisor within an hour. Six days later, I am still waiting for that phone call. I called Hertz three more times on the 25th in hopes of getting through to a supervisor who could help me locate a vehicle, but without success.I can quite honestly say that my experience with Hertz this past week was unequivocally the worst [failed] business transaction of my entire life. Even if I had been able to successfully reserve a car after my interaction with “Dan” at the Thornton location, I would have been extremely hesitant to give a single penny to this company. In the future, Hertz will be at the bottom of my list for rental choices; in fact, I would prefer to take a pedicab, horse-drawn carriage, or even walk until my shoes give out before relying on Hertz for transportation.
