I went there to get a lot of work done. I had tires, brakes, an alignment and oil change. Michael was extremely kind, professional and knowledgable. He did an excellent job. My car felt like a brand new car on my drive back home. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I had a great experience today at the Thomasville, NC location today. I noticed that I had an oil leak while visiting family in a the area. They got me in quick and noticed that there was a problem with the cap not being in place so I was leaking oil. Once this was discovered, he also added oil so I didn’t have to worry. They also took my warranty company and filed the paperwork without me having to pay and be reimbursed later. I visit the area a lot so I will be coming here for maintenance in the future.

Very slow do not acknowledge customers in a timely manner. Had an appointment at 11:30 did not get my car back until 2 hrs later for a oil change. I do not recommend

Had a slow leak that was bothersome. Called NTB in Thomasville NC and they took it in. I walked to the nearest nail salon in the shopping center for a pedicure. Both done at same time! Perfect! My tire found someones missing Phillips head attachment.

WORST PLACE EVER!! It took them 30 minutes on the computer just to inform me they had NO TIRES available, even though it is a tire company. On top of that, the guy that assisted me said “you’ll have to pay an extra $40 for us to go pick up your tire when it comes in” …….. seriously????? Isn’t that what you pay your help to do anyway???? Rude, uneducated people that truly haven’t a clue to what they are doing. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place!!!!!

I actually come here often for tires, for 9 years now. I am satisfied with this service. But am convinced they do not actually perform Inspections because every time I ask, the Inspection Guy is not there (on 4 separate occasions). I will still go back for tires, but will assume they are not an active inspection station even though listed with DMV

The manager debbie was so rude she is a sorry excuse for a manager i will not be coming back they have lost all my business i will be telling my friends and associates about this we are very disappointed in the managements work ethics and how she treats her employees

DO NOT GO TO THIS GARAGE! On May 26, 2021, I had a slashed tire and had to have my car towed to this location (rear passenger side tire) instead of just that tire I had both rear tires replaced.... when car was finished I got in and checked my dash message controls and noticed my psi sensor for the rear DRIVER side wasn’t registering. I get out of my car and talk to the worker and he says “drive a few miles and it’ll reset on it’s own” well I drove several miles, and it still wasn’t “resetting” went there today, May 29, 2021and was pretty much told it was my fault and these sensors are easily breakable... and that their system doesn’t go past 2017 and they can’t reprogram my car’s sensor and now instead of ONE rear driver side sensor not working ALL OF MY SENSORS are now broken, I will be taking my car to the dealership and you WILL be hearing from my attorney I’m BEYOND LIVID!!! Great customer service NTB!!!!Edit to include: I’ve purchased tires in the past with the same vehicle with zero incidents regarding my sensor and have taken it to other shops with ZERO incidents if this is a very delicate part why am I having issues NOW!? Also being a holiday weekend that leaves me with Tuesday to take my car to the dealership THE DAY BEFORE MY SON’S GRADUATION!!!!!! Angry doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel!!!!

Weve had quite a bit of service done here; tires, oil changes, inspections. We have been EXTREMELY happy with the service Lloyd & his crew have given us, and highly recommend NTB in Thomasville. I dont know about cost vs other shops, but the quality of work has earned our trust. You cant put a price on trust, and Lloyd & NTB have earned ours.

I first took my car in on Friday the 12th I had an appointment for 9:00 am. We waited around until 11:00 and they told us they would have to order the tires and they could put them on the following day at 11:00, I agreed even though I wish they had told me from the beginning they didn’t have the tires in stock, either way I showed up Saturday at 10:50 Am and Loyd said that as soon as they finished an oil change I was next, and it would be an hour and a half. No problem I walked across the street to my gym and worked out until 12:30, only to find my car wasn’t complete, it looked like they had just started and the instruction I gave them was to put on 4 new tires and take the best of the four that were on the car and use it as a spare. Some how that was never translated to the people in the back. So I waited another 1 1/2 hours to finally get my car back only to find they never put down a paper on the carpet and the guys boots had black on the bottom which is now on my carpet and they didn’t replace the spare tire where it goes they sling it in the trunk. Over all I wouldn’t give any stars if possible this place is Horrible

Excellent place!!! Best service in town by far!!!! MAKE SURE you ask for Rob the manager, he’ll get you the price and service you need. There’s someone else who works there that’s a manager that isn’t very helpful at all.

Had an appointment at 5 and waited 2 hours to get an alignment. After I waited an hour and a half they finally got it in the shop. Thirty minutes later, I’m told that they can’t do alignments on Mini Coopers because it requires a special tool that they don’t have. Now why it took 2 hours for them to tell me this is beyond me. Completely wasted my time.

Merchant’s has become completely dysfunctional since the NTB buyout. Unless you’ve unlimited time and money, take your vehicles elsewhere.

Slow and unprofessional. Set up a tire rotation appointment for 1230 on a Saturday. At 130 they walk in and say your car is next as soon as the guy gets back from lunch. They sent the guy to lunch during our appointment. Watched 3 guys walk around doing nothing while we waited on a 5 minute job to be done. Finally walked out around 2.

Went in for a tire patch with an appointment not only was I there for 4 hours and overcharged for the service but they broke the clips on my center hub cap and it fell off going down the road. The people were nice in the front but the service is just terrible.

The only reason they get a star is because zero stars is not an option. Sorry excuse of a shop

I bought a one year alignment for 100 dollars last year. It was suggested that every time I got an oil change, I get the tires rotated and aligned. Little did I know, the oil changes would be $ 86.00. Also I am in there 3 hours waiting with an appointment. I thought I was getting a deal when actually I was paying more for the extra prices in oil changes to have paid full price for the 3 alignments I received. I wouldnt recommend NTB to anyone. My year isnt even up!

Came in to get my rear brakes replaced was around 400$ but the technician brought me in a showed me that I actually didn’t need to get them replaced, cleaned everything up for me and saved me a bunch, super friendly people! Highly recommended :)

I came here to buy 4 new tires... I stood waiting and waiting... There was only one worker and he was helping the only person in front of me... So I stood awhile then sat down a long time waiting... Never once told ill be with you in a minute or anything... So what I was really waiting on was him talking to the lady about remodeling his place and she was talking about remodeling hers... The whole freaking time... So I just got aggravated and left... I understand you have to be nice to people, but when theres someone else their waiting, enough is enough... That would have aggravated anyone in my shoes... ( I waited a total of 45 min) so I just went somewhere else and just got me a temporary tire... Till I can find somewhere to buy 4 new tires... It was Wednesday the 29th at around 8:15am, and waited till after 9am.

Called for a price to change Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils. They quoted me $1200! The broke it down as $800 for Coils, $100 for plugs, 4 hours labor. I had already searched the parts online, the MOST expensive upgraded high performance version was $80 for the complete set plugs and coils. It took my 25 minutes to put them in.

Went in to have my power steering checked out. Long story short they were going to charge me $1,100 just to replace pump and hose and to top it all off I was charged $120 just for them to look at it and they wrote it off as a engine diagnostics test which I did not ask for. Would not recommend this place low skill level and labor cost is outrageous.

My husband and I were close to the end of a 14 hour trip when the tire stem on one of our tires started leaking. Even though they were booked solid and closing within 30 minutes of our call, Rob agreed to fix our tire and in no time and had us back on the road. Great customer service!

Took my car in for an alignment, they told me after the alignment that my shocks and struts where all bad and quoted me $1600 for parts and labor, didnt bother telling me that my sway bar link was broken off and after looking up the parts myself was nowhere near the prices they said for the same ones I ended up putting on my car. After everything was said and done I got no paperwork or proof of any work done. I called a couple day ago to get it realigned and the guy who answered said he had three ahead of me til they closed and hung up on me before I could ask for an appointment, needless to say I will not be back for anything!

NTN-National Tire & Battery took my car for a oil change at 4:54pm and didnt finish until 6:15pm. It should have never taken that long because i was the only customer the whole time. I have gotten alot of oil changes in my life but I never had to wait this long. Then they gonna say that I needed 2 tires and a battery and the charge would be over $400! Thats alot of money. Sound like a rip off to me. I have never went somewhere and they charged me that amount for tires and a battery. I just have a regular old car. They will never have to worry about me again

Had two tires balanced that I didnt buy there.... They were very nice but also busy... Said it would be an hour or so... So I dropped them off and left my number a few hours later I had to call... They admitted my tire balancing got lost in the mix and told me to head over, that they would have them done when I get there.... When I arrived the tires were ready and they told me NO Charge... I was impressed with their honesty... I wad told it would be $9.99 per tire which was the cheapest price I was able to find after calling around to local shops... With their offer of the free balancing, I left a $10 tip and thanked them.... I WILL use them in the future... Thanks again

I had a coupon for 49.99 and they charged full price. I was also there for an inspection of which they did not perform. They kept my car for 4.5 hours and never called to say it was ready. When I repeated what was to be done at the end and the coupon. They said completed. I watched unprofessional behavior and I will never go back

I refuse to go back no one pays attention I bought 2 tires I told the man at the desk to put them on the rear.i walked outside to look there mounting them on the front.i went for a oil change I said full synthetic I was told I would have to go purchase it myself. So I went got oil and filter package deal.i was told at the garage we cant use the filter. You buy the filters from a out source . What is the difference.

Says it’s open until 7 which would be good since I have a nail in my tire and can’t get off work early. I just called to make an appointment at 6pm and this was the response I get “6:00 you want me to fix a tire at 6:00” my response was “not with you”. Can’t believe that was the response he gave me. How about a “we can take a look at it and see if we will have enough time to have it done by 7:00 if not it will need to wait”. I’ll take my business elsewhere until you guys can be more courteous to your customers on a simple phone call.

Decent service. Had a flat tire this morning. It did take a while, but I was in a comfortable room with WiFi and free coffee. They also looked at my car to make sure everything else was fine and told me about other issues. Will be back.

My wife took one of our cars to this location to have a tire looked at. It would not hold air, but it was a very slow leak. The store tried to sell her on new tires, instead she opted to have them inspect for the cause of the leak. They came back saying the wheel was very dirty and prevented the tire from sealing, they stated it was ‘cleaned’ and fixed. But if it continued to happen. She would need to come back for new tires.Well it kept happening, we took it to a different shop and guess what? They NEVER cleaned the wheel!! They charged us $40 for nothing, just to try and make us come back to buy tires. This place is a scam. Buyer beware, we will never go back to this place or any other NTB again.Negative 5 stars

They Over charge for everything they do. Then they left my key turned over& lights on killed battery, tried to get me to buy new one twice the price as what auto store charged me. Also took 4 guys 45 minutes to jump start my car so I could leave, then they also did something wrong while jumping it and blew fuse for my power steering. Will NEVER go here again!

I stopped here to have my oil changed this around 12PM, they said it would be about a hour before they would be able to get to it, I was fine with that, around 2PM they finely put my jeep in the bay, I guess they cant tell time, the manager came to talk to me and said my jeep was in bad shape,he said it needed new hoses and a New belt, I agreed to the new hoses but not a New belt, Little did he know I just had a New belt put on my jeep about 2 months ago, he took me in the bay so he could show me what he was talking about, my jeep did look like it could use New hoses but the belt still looked like a New belt, he said it was going to cost $290 for the oil change and new hoses, I signed the paper agreeing to the work and the $290,well 3 hours later they finally finished, so I went to pay and they ended up charging me $375, for parts and labor, so not only did I have to wait 5 hours it cost me $85 more than was quoted, I will never ever go there again. Beware of this place. I learned my lesson the hard way,

Before I start I just wanna say DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!!!! They have the most amazing up front staff. I was here Monday to get and oil change and a state inspection. They have a new sales person whom I did get his name. He really cares about his customers so helpful and knowledgeable on any question I asked him they all greeted me with smiles I felt very welcome!!! Further more as I’m sitting watching this young man talking to other customers you get a sense of compassion for what he does. Thank you guys so much!!! By far the best place to go to!!!! Would recommend to anybody

Needed 2 tires mounted and balanced I was quoted $31 a tire thats $62 that doesnt count them getting rid of old tires and there clean up fees that they add on. First of all I only paid $70 for 1 tire. Called 3 other shops highest quote I got from those 3 shops $18 a tire, you do the math. All they care about is $ keep your wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother away. They will find problems with a car straight off the assembly line.

Rob and his team have been very helpful in diagnosing the issue with our car (needs and A/C compressor unfortunately). Very professional. Tries to find the best and least costly solution. Can’t ask for much more than that.

These guys are the best of the best! I should know as they have helped me on a lemon I purchased from Wilson Motor Co in Asheboro NC. in April 2019. They not only are very competitive in pricing but work around your schedule. The 1sr time I went to them by mishap. I had gone to a local repair shop and they looked at my car, gave me a quote and told me I need to leave it and they will get to it first thing in the AM. I couldnt leave my car so I drove down to the Burger King and saw them in the same parking lot. I told them I needed front rotors on my car and could they do it. I told Jacob (Buck) I was next door and cant leave my car. He said sure, come on over and we can get it now. I went over and he gave me the price and it was lower than the other shop. I looked up their reviews and almost left bc of that. Im so glad I didnt! So within 1&1/2 hours my car was ready! Then I had to get them to work on it 2 or 3 other times. These times they even towed my car for me to the shop and then brought it back to my home. Amazing. The last time i had it in there, the check engine light came on and they had to give me the bad news that my motor was done and that the chassis is gone. I am now looking for another car at a reputable dealer and John, the mechanic is going to check out the vehicle before I buy it. He, Bob, the manager and Jacob the coordinator are really awesome guys and go the extra mile. You wont go wrong by using them as your auto repair shop!!

I had new tires installed in March of this year,and had been back several times since then with leakage,front shaking,a knob in one,a blow out. This entire time,nobody realized my front tires were installed backwards, yes they have a certain tread pattern and directions on sidewall starting this side out,this side inward. Today we noticed,took it up to NTB again and they installed front tires correctly,did an alignment again no problem. And for the first time in months I drove my car and it felt safe to drive,it wasnt shaking,skidding,it was climbing the hill on Holly Hill no problem again!!! Thank you so much for the prompt service and for caring about our safety as I take my daughter in for her treatments!! The new manager and general manager gave it their all today to see that we can rely on a dependable ride once again!!! Thank you gentleman,thats the smoothest my car has drove in months!!

I had to order tires for my boat trailer, they called me when they were ready to be installed, everything went perfect. The techs were more concerned with my safety than trying to up sale me like Merchants. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Good for when you dont have the time/experience/ tools for simple car mantainace such as oil changes or putting on new tires if you cant do it yourself. They are generally fair and dont do what many other places pf their sorts do like fixing non issues or taking advantage of people who know nothing about cars. So def a great place to go if you cant take care of the little things yourself.
