I had an amazing experience! JT took the time last minute to get my car in for breaks and an oil change! I had a moment of panic when I realized my wheel lock key was no longer in my glove box. Apparently the last mechanic to work on my car didnt return it. In case you dont know, this means you cant easily remove the wheels from the car. I talked to Discount and they tried to help me but couldnt due to the shape of my wheel rims and the position of the lug nut. They suggested I go to Midas. I went over and met JT. JT was friendly and professional. He just felt trustworthy. That Midas is also family owned so they care about their reputation. I felt confident JT would be able to help, although I knew it was going to be a lot of work. I dropped off the car on Monday and later that day I got a call. They had gotten the wheel locks off, but not by drilling, cutting, or finding a tool to grip them, but by finding the missing wheel lock. Apparently it was put back in the spare tire well instead of in the glove box. They could have just told me they got them off and charged me whatever time they wanted, but they didnt. They actually didnt charge me anything. Its hard to find a reliable and honest mechanic, and JT (Midas) is one you can trust.

To add recent visit September 24 this shop can manage your maintenance schedules with personal care. I had a 55,000 mile service completed designed fir my sports car. They have same info that dealers have costing MUCH less. I have had brakes done plus wheel alignment and yearly inspections. The more you go there the more they know your car and exactly what you need.The Midas shop on Sawdust Rd in The Woodlands is a family owned business since 1993. They deserved a rating of 10. I love technology but I love face to face customer service.My first impression eight months ago was the wonderful, coordinated and efficient working relationship of the workers. Father and son and workers have worked together for a long time. Thats the magic. They love their work.Sitting in the waiting car you can see all cars being worked on. First time I ever saw my car being serviced!!!!! I sat by customers who have come to this for yearsMy mind is at ease. I have someone to go without breaking the bank. In Texas you better have a car thats in goof shape.

Ive been going here for over 12 years, with our vehicles. I can safely say, Ive never had a problem with this place. Alex definitely knows his craft. The staff are friendly and understanding of my needs. I wont go to any other shop but this one, I made that mistake once and it costed me additional repairs that werent even needed.

I was yelled at because I kindly asked them to mount my tire correctly. See on the photo it says SIDE FACING INWARDSSomeone called Tom does not treat people of color well. Toms exact words were, I am going to be up upset for making them redo the job... before even looking at the mistake done by his technician, I dont want to say cluelessEarlier, I called before I went in for my 2015 Toyota Corolla to be fixed but Tom was rude on the phone. Anyway, I gave him a benefit of doubt and yesterday mid-morning at the shop I was told to wait for 2+ hours. However once I handed over my keys they started working on my car and that left me wondering but why lie? Clearly they didnt want me to wait for my car but I had to wait. While there, I noticed the treatment given to other people who had a lighter skin than mine, it was all smiles and respect with Toms team him included. When it came to me, they showed me it was not a place for dark skinned people. I am a MIDAS customer for the past 3 years but never felt like I was not wanted yet I brought business to them in this Pandemic.Finally, I had to apologize for making them correct the mistake. Yes, I apologized for the sake of peace and surprisingly they never said sorry, instead they blamed me for not telling them to notice that when mounting tires they should read correctly.My advice to MIDAS at Sawdust, Woodlands, Tom and his team should be cautious on not judging anyone based on race. I will never go back!!! If you are wise find better places than this.

I got oil change and basic inspection done on 11/30/2020. They told me that my car battery is about to die and I should get it replaced. I went back to Autozone from where I bought the battery almost 3 years ago. They said I still had some warranty left and they checked. The battery was completely fine, running good and neednt be replaced. The guy showed me the reality. I was concerned as I was planning for a longer drive the next week. Its been almost two months my battery is good and I have driven more than 1000 miles. This MIDAS wanted to rip me off. Very disappointed.

Tom is absolutely Knowledgeable and professional, if i could give more than 5 stars this would be my chance, Took my car to another MIDAS, located at 989 S Mason Rd, Katy. it was a simple alignment, after the service was completed a light on the dashboard turned on, i mention it to the front desk employee, he said that they didnt do it and wasnt their responsibility (they did not fix it), then they started showing me a bunch of stuff that was wrong with the car, struts, speed sensor, etc. I just left the place, didnt believe anything they were telling me. Anyway, i decided to stop by another MIDAS shop, thankfully, i went to the right one, Tom helped me out, he was kind enough to explain to me what happened and fixed everything. I will take my car here from now on, dont waste time and money going somewhere else. THANKS TOM.

I have taken all 4 of my vehicles to this Midas location. I could not have come across a more trusted establishment. There has been a time or two that they could have done work and charged a lot of money for it on 2 of the cars. Instead, they were honest and told me a cheaper resolution or were honest and showed me many reasons why this would have been a waste of money to fix because there were so many more issues that were starting to show up.I feel so blessed to have found such a professional, courteous and amazing automotive shop that covers such a broad reach of issues. I had a friend go to this shop yesterday and they did not install his tires properly and yelled at him when he asked that they install them correctly. He is a very respectful young man and they had no reason to treat him so poorly. He is African American and it was very obvious that none of the other customers were being treated like this even from the first encounter. I do not know why they yelled at him and treated him so poorly. I will not be referring anyone to this shop.

J.T. is the man! This has become my go-to place for all things car related the past 2-3 years, but this time I wasnt charged even a single penny for high mileage oil change simply because I had to wait 2.5 hours because of how busy they were. WHAAAT? I was never not charged for a service at a garage before. I didnt even notice the time fly by because Id brought a book to read. Im not sure about other MIDAS locations, but these people are the most standup mechanics around here and will have my business forever.

10 stars to this location. Very friendly and very knowledgeable in everything they do. Comfortable waiting area. That fish tank is relaxing to watch, magazines abundance,something for everyone. Awesome location for a walk to restaurants and shopping.

This is literally one of the ONLY repair shops that I dont feel like Im being screwed at..... Every time Ive come here the men have been exceedingly helpful, HONEST, and easy to deal with. Honest being the operative word here. Theyve always explained things thoroughly, have never piled on additional charges, and have always been up front about cost and time. That is incredibly difficult to find these days in an age where it seems car repair shops are out to take full-advantage of customers. This place is truly a relief. REALLY great guys and AWESOME service!

Fast, great service. I called in about an ac problem and was in and out in less than an hour. They changed my compressor last year so they wanted to look at it ASAP. They couldnt find a problem but did change the freon. I could feel the difference immediately. I was told to keep an eye on it and drive it around this weekend because that was unusual because there wasnt a leak. Everything was explained so I could understand. I really trust them! I have been going there for several years now and will keep going because of their kind service.

Quick service and friendly staff. The owner is a bit gruff, but hes never let me down. They had my state inspection done in minutes and were very friendly and helpful when my car had some issues. Only thing is that its a pain to get there depending on which way youre coming from on Sawdust.

My husband and I have been to this Midas several times, for routine oil changes, and some repairs - we have always had *excellent* customer service, short wait times, and satisfactory work from the mechanics/technicians. Love that its a Christian environment, and they remember many customers by name! Even after we move out of the immediate area, I think well still bring our vehicles here for maintenance.

I live in the Woodfarm neighborhood so its a few blocks to Midas to see Tom and his awesome crew! Id been grinding on my brakes with a car thats truly the glue that keeps my family together. That car gets me back and forth from the Galleria (from the Woodlands) to our jobs twice a day! I knew riding metal to metal mightve been scaring up my rotors but I was at the mercy of whatever work needed to be done to fix my negligence! I was priced by a local shop at almost $600 for brakes so I waited for the estimate (from my new friend Tom) with dread! Tom called with a price that was $300 less than his competitor - treated me like a valued customer and didnt do unnecessary repairs! I even added in the alignment because he came in so under budget! Living paycheck to paycheck at our age means savings like this are tangible! Later that day I was able to afford medical care for one of my animals because of their low cost but high quality repair! I went so they can check my car brake I did not notice anything wrong but I am traveling to California so I wanted to know if all is well. Well I was received with smile and great attitude and I was with my baby in a stroller. The person at front desk asked me if I noticed anything or abnormalities on the brake when I drive I said no just for them to check it out if there is anything wrong they can fix it now that I am going to travel I do not want to be stranded on the road. He explained to me very well what they will do and they will let me know. I was in the waiting room vey clean and nice atmosphere with a music with other customers. They checked everything and all was great they notified me and as soon as my car was to be pulled out from the service room. The mother nature pour out rain and I could not even see outside it was so dark. They told me I can stay till is over and remember I was with my baby. The rain was going strong and I wanted to leave. What they did was so helpful they told me they can pull the car in the service room so I can put my baby on her car seat and the stroller on the car. They helped me to carry the stroller and close the back door so we will not be rained. I am so grateful for their help. They did not have to do that but they cared for their customers. They went on that extra mile beyond their duties. Finally even though I went there for them to check my brake I got more than that I was not even charged a cent for consultation. I could have paid with smile in my face with this kind of professional service, now are days u can not find it anywhere else. Thank you so much.

Tom and JT Higdon are a great father and son shop. They will shoot it to you straight, they wont try to charge you for things you dont need. Also the mechanic Tom Morse is wonderful and very knowledgeable about almost every aspect of any car. If I could rate them 10 stars I would. Go here and without question you will NOT be disappointed. Call ahead of time though especially Fridays and the weekend to ensure you get what you need to get done.

I love this place! I used to regular the Goodyear on Panther Creek... and since I bought my car, it had a recurring flat tire (my tire slowly lost air over time, especially with low temperatures, so I had to constantly refill it), I had asked Goodyear to take a look at it several times whenever I got an oil change or whatever, and they always told me it just happens and theres nothing wrong with my tire. Well, one day the tire wouldnt refill anymore- it went completely flat. Midas was the closest place to my home so I took it there out of necessity. Needless to say, they figured out that it was the valve stem and fixed it for me. Not only that, but when my SO came to pick me up, I mentioned that Goodyear had just fixed his power steering (for over $1000) and it was still causing problems. They came outside, looked at it, dumped in a bottle of power steering fluid and didnt even charge us for it, and even gave us advice on what to look for and listen for, and possibilities of what might be occurring and what we should do.Now, I take my car to Midas whenever there is anything I need, and they always remember me, and are always super helpful and friendly. I can tell that they try to save me money and they explain everything so thoroughly! I have taken automotive courses, and I understand cars, so I really value their willingness to be straightforward with me and and answer all of my questions. Especially as a woman, sometimes mechanics mansplain things and assume they can rip you off. But at Midas they treat me with respect and they are honest with me, and I appreciate that so much.I just love it there, and I would highly recommend Midas (specifically the Sawdust location) to anyone and everyone. They are definitely the official mechanics for our household now. :)

I have been a returning customer to this Midas for over two years. The staff are knowledgeable and professional. My car had a code and after spending over three hours their team decided it was the computer, I need a rebuilt or new computer. They refused to charge me for the service even when I offered. They are very trustworthy, I highly recommended

I was very impressed with the crew at this Midas! I called 4 shops in the area and they gave me the best price by far. Not only that, the were able to work on my vehicle that day whereas the other shops had at least a 3 day wait. Also, and most importantly, I greatly appreciated the way they spoke with me. When the manager, possibly owner, called to talk about what they had found, he listed what he strongly suggested should be done, what other services could be done(but not absolutely necessary), and which services did not need to be done. He could have easily told me that the back break pads needed to be replaced, but let me know that was not the case. I am very happy that I have found a place that I feel is honest and offers very competitive prices.

I just wanted to say that I have been going to Midas for many years now. Every time I here someone is having car problems I always tell them to go to Midas! Tom Higgins the manager (I think) is very Honest, very Professional and most of all will not scam you. And Tom Morse is the best Master Mechanic out there if you have a issue he will find it! Its so hard to find the right mechanic shop. And one that wont rip you off. Thats why I am giving them 5 stars because there team is always nice the minute you walk in, They have great sales, They are honest and wont rip you off and most of all they know what they are doing! Had a bad review in the beginning but after speaking with the owner, Tom I have changed my mind. He provided reasonable arguments for my unhappiness and offered a work around.In conclusion - this is a good place to fix your car. The store will stand behind their work and assure you of quality. They use parts similar to the dealership so these may be costly but the labor costs are reasonable.

I was there about a month ago because I heard something rattling at my car. After 20 minutes, they fixed it at no cost as it was just the spare tire in my car. Happy with their service.

They did do the oil change as requested, but none of the employees and only one other customer was wearing a mask despite 5 people being indoors in the waiting area. If you are concerned, it would not be a good idea to go.
