Random cool fact about this location: they have a vintage hot springs spa from 1995 for display!I really like the set up of this store comparing it to the Champaign location (which also has a nice arrangement of spas) the Hot Springs models were neat to look at comparing them with Caldera (Watkins owns both brands) so it was fun seeing the differences between the two. I highly recommend when shopping for spas, take a trip out of town or state and explore the Terre Haute (IN), Champaign (IL), or Springfield (IL) stores.

When youre in the store, their customer service is great. But what blew me away the most was their responsiveness via messaging. They answered all of my questions about a new hot tub VIA TEXT -- and quickly! It was so effective that I bought a new hot tub with them sight unseen. We have been waiting for this day and it arrived. I’ll give Back Yard Leisure a 9/10 on the delivery and install of our swim spa. I would have given them a perfect score if I would have known an arrival time. The 4-5 men crew was professional, hardworking, and did everything possible to not tear up the yard. I had to go to an appt before the swim spa was finished filling for them to go over how to care and work the spa. The owner himself “Josh from the commercials”came back and went over the entire swim spa with me. I would recommend to family and friends Back Yard Leisure. They even brought a couple truck loads of water to fill it up and got the first round of chemicals going for us.

Backyard Leisure has exceeded our expectations at this point. We had originally partnered with a different business for our hot tub purchase but were having trouble getting a delivery date for a bout three months. Backyard Leisure has able to receive our hot tub and deliver it in about three weeks. They even moved our delivery date up from what was originally scheduled. They were very communicative prior to the sale, answering all the questions we had and not trying to rush us into a purchase. Their scheduler was incredibly helpful adjusting the time of day their installers would be on site to accommodate our schedule. And lastly, the installers provided wonderful customer service overcoming some obstacles to get the hot tub in place and explain how to operate and best maintain it going forward. Looking forward to continuing our relationship when it comes to ordering chemicals and products.

Friendly and efficient staff.

Although they had a decent selection and we found a few we were interested in, Bryson was rude. I understand that this is his job but he told us we wouldn’t know what we wanted to buy until we talked to him. We know we wand 6 person Caldera and try to keep it around $10,000. If we had questions we would’ve asked but it wasn’t customer service that would make me want to come back. I’ll be going someplace else.

We bought a Seychelles Caldera spa, which is super beautiful, and Josh, Earl, and Adam were all terrific in arranging the details and making the installation go well. Josh did a great job of doing the carpentry work, and the installation team performed a feat! Kevin and his team were professional and efficient, and took care to go over operations and features. What an exciting addition to our home!

I recently had a serious issue with my hot tub late in the day— close to closing for BYL and thought I would have to wait until Monday for service. I am so thankful for Josh, who came out that evening—after hours (an hour away) and fixed the issue! He completed the job and left just after 9pm. I am very grateful! Their product service is usually overnight and they pay shipping. I highly recommend Backyard Leisure- friendly staff too.

So far, we have had a great experience with Backyard Leisure. They explained in great detail the quality of their hot tubs and helped us compare/contrast them to other businesses. They were able to help me pull off purchasing the hot tub as a surprise for my husband. They delivered the hot tub on Christmas Eve morning for us, with a crew of 4 people. The delivery/set up guys were knowledgeable and helpful, and got the hot tub ready to go. We also got a great gift basket upon installation. As of now, we would recommend BL 100%!

I would recommend to anyone getting a hot tub to definitely get the handle bar. I have had a hot tub for years and this year I decided to splurge with the handle bar that goes along side the steps ... best money we have ever spent in icy winters... and just something to hold on to while getting in and out . The sliding cover is also nice . Makes the relaxation of a hot tub that much more enjoyable 😊

Josh and crew from Backyard Leisure went above and beyond for us. Spent a lot of time trying to make up our minds in the store. They were patient and answered all our questions. Changed our mind after delivery and set up and wanted something else. NO Problem! We went with another unit ( which we absolutely love) and they had it here and set up within a week. Worked into the evening and made sure it was positioned perfectly on our patio and we were happy before they left. Don’t see many businesses these days care that much. Can’t say enough about these guys. Don’t get a hot tub anywhere else!

Worst customer service I think I ever had. Not at all interested in selling us a hot tub today. We drove a hour to be totally disappointed. Salesman was rude and cocky and very disrespectful.

I met the salesman Eric at Bridgetown during the festival. Talk about a guy that knows his stuff and goes the extra mile! He answered way too many questions that I had and was always available to help me via phone (I live in the Chicagoland area). Throughout the entire process Eric was professional and very helpful. I will make all of my maintenance product purchases through him (even though I can buy local to me). I purchased the XV with the upgraded additional pump do the heater as well as the in-line frog chemical system. The spa is a dream and my wife and I use it at least 3-5 times a week. It’s always ready to go. The jets are comfortable and placed well. The back massager is nice, but I can only handle it for a few minutes before I move to another seat. For the price, this unit is a great entrance into the spa world. It does not have all the bells and whistles such as a waterfall or lights around the unit. For the price, I feel it is a very good product.

Had our Hot Springs tub for about two months. This is our first hot tub. We absolutely LOVE it. Aside from a week or so delivery delay, the whole process went pretty smooth. The people at Outdoor Leisure couldnt be nicer. Will definitely buy from them again!

Aggressive sales people. I had a 30 second conversation with a salesperson and he was already asking me to put down a deposit. If you have have to sell something as hard they do, its not worth buying in my opinion. I also have a friend who got poor customer service after the sale.

My wife and I have been very pleased with the experience. Backyard Leisure recommended a great electrician to get us started. They delivered the tub exactly when they said they would. Delivery was impressive since it was right before Christmas when they are probably very busy. Everyone has treated us well and the tub is perfect!

I had wanted a hot tub for months, but it took a lot for me to finally walk into Backyard Leisure because I had a small space and a small budget to work with, and I was afraid I would not be taken seriously. Just the opposite happened... the sales guy who helped me (Joe Butcher) didnt miss a beat... he just said he would find a way to make it happen, and he did! He managed to find a hot tub that fit my space AND budget, and that is still completely awesome! The guys who delivered the hot tub were super friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing! They went over everything from the controls to the chemicals, and by the time they left I had a hot tub filled, hot, and ready to go, and I was comfortable that I knew how to take care of it. I am not easily impressed, but I have to say Backyard Leisure really impressed me!

The people here were very nice and welcoming. However, I am giving 3 stars because the prices are outrageous. They wanted almost 11,000 dollars for their smallest size above ground pool. I could get the same pool from Walmart for 400 dollars or less. They do install it for you and fill it but I feel like I could hire someone else to set it up for me and then pay the larger than normal water bill and still not pay a couple thousand dollars.

Setup crew was awesome. They had to remove my existing tub, which was recessed in an existing deck. The deck was partially dismantled and put back together. All of the crew were great to work with!
