Very bad experience!!! I reserved my reservation and paid on line for a four day trip to see my kids. Since my ex moved out of state I dont get to see them as much as Id like. I was to pick up my rental at noon on Friday. at 830am on Friday morning I got a call from Hertz Terre haute indiana. I was sleeping so I didnt answer it. the message they left me was they dont have a car for me(keep in mind I already paid for it). After 7 attempts to call them to find out whats going on and no one answering the phone I left a message. an hour later a not very nice woman called me back. she said they may have a car by the end of the day or in the morning. so Im like ok. Ill leave later that day or the next morning. Well the not so nice woman never called me back that day or the next morning. I even went as far as to go to the Hertz place in Terre haute. which is inside another business (Big O Tires). there was no one at the Hertz counter or the small office they had there even though there business sign said they are open during these hours. now since I already paid for a car that they didnt deliver I was unable to get another rental from enterprise cause I didnt have the funds available cause Hertz still had my money and since its the weekend no one in billing was there to reimburse my payment. I have to call back during normal business hours.( I will say though the dude from India that spoke English very well that gave me the number to billing was nice, polite, and helpful) all in all very bad experience. my kids were very disappointed that I was not able to make it. since the divorce Ive tried very hard to follow through with what I say Im going to do when I comes to them. this was the first time I didnt follow through. even though it wasnt my fault Im very upset with Hertz for this whole experience. especially the not so nice woman at the terre haute branch. considering they still got my money for a car that was not delivered. so in short Im a dissatisfied customer.

I could go on for a long time but I’ll keep this simple. They do not provide a good service. I’ve called them every day of my vacation and they do not answer the phone or return calls but they sure will charge your card ridiculous amounts. GO TO ENTERPRISE!!!

Used for an insurance rental 3 times now, always had great service. Love the prepay fuel option, so I didn’t have to mess with it before returning rental. Also really like that you can purchase coverage for the car through them to avoid having an insurance claim!

Don’t rent anything from them unless you have them cleaned the car thoroughly for all suspicious dust with recording. Or a super rude manager may charge you $300 for smoking in the boot, on door or window seals.

Order a car but when we went to pick it up they didnt have any vehicles available. They stated they called to let us know but we didnt have any voice message or missed calls. 😡

One star is too generous for Hertz. I reserved a van and went to pick it up only to have them tell me they dont have one that big. And the lady was rude on top of it all. I cant get ahold of them to get my money back. Then had to go somewhere else to try and get a vehicle. Hertz sucks.

A graet place to rent a car

I mean... hard to have a WORSE experience with a rental company. Didnt get a car and they have held funds for over 2 weeks now. Just awful. Messing with peoples lives here.

The car rental was fine and went smoothly. At least one of their employees or detail persons are dishonest because I left my gym key and beats headphones in the center console. I called the next business day after I locked the vehicle and put key in drop box. Three business days later they conveniently can’t find the headphones and they haven’t been turned in to the office. Obviously, I have no proof aside from my memory of leaving them in the vehicle. Hope the employee enjoys my ear wax and sweat because they were my gym headphones!

Booked on their website which stated that i can use a debit card. Only to call to confirm pickup the day of and be rudely told that i cant Use debit. The lady at the desk interrupted me mid sentence to talk to another lady for over 5 min. Didn’t even ask me to wait. Then hung up on me before i could even cancel my reservation. She had no idea how to do her job. And she was a manager

The staff at our local hertz rental was rude and completely inept. They told my step daughter that they would have a vehicle for her and her children. They had and economy car. Hardly what she asked for. When she tried to talk to the lady at the counter she was rude and didnt care. I will sooner drive a bicycle than get a vehicle from you.

This location is their best. Amber is great at helping you get what you need. I never regret a rental from here

Too much to list here. Rude lady who refused to discuss an earlier pick up time, told me to go online to pay for a courtesy car and then called me honey. Had an issue with the credit card and which card the reservation was on to start with and then she pulled out her condescending language again. The car had trash and was dirty in the back and had a low tire which I had to get serviced. Lack of respect and professionalism. Bye Bye Hertz!

I’ve had to rent from them twice but not by choice both times were picked by the insurance company because I was involved in an accident the first time they were very nonchalant and the second time I called to let the lady know that I had dropped my car off and I need to come and pick up my reservation she told me that they didn’t have any drivers and I will have to wait another two hours before the cars were ready because They didn’t have any cars either she was very rude so I asked her what her name was she told me what her name was I asked her who are you and she told me she was the manager well this lady‘s name was Amber after I asked her name her whole attitude changed she became very polite and professional which is really weird because she should’ve been that way when I first called I gave her an approach of being polite and nice and that’s what I should’ve received in return so I called State Farm and let them know what was going on And they quickly changed my reservation over to enterprise where I rent from all the time I will never even attempt to rent from Hertz again they are so unprofessional. This was the s. 3rd location as well

An absolute JOKE! They call me TWO days before I have to leave to tell me - they dont have the car Ive reserved. You had TWO DAYS to locate one. Instead, I ended up jumping through hoops just to get my freaking money back and even then I didnt get it back in time for my vacation....they actually wanted to charge me a cancellation fee! Are you people on crack? I will NEVER use this company again and I will make sure my business does not deal with them either.

Quick and simple. Would have been nice if they let us know that i need to put the keys and the contract in the envelope foe dropoff.

Save yourself the trouble and just go to Enterprise.

It was fairy standard for renting but when I returned the car, I had a 2 hour wait until I could get home. They were kind enough to give me a ride home. They are very personable and caring.

Customer service was awesome. Very polite and quick. Will definitely use them again

Gold Club no advantage for picking up car here as you stand in line waiting for all others. Very slow.

Their staff are friendlier than most car rental places, although they do offer the typical high pressure push to buy their insurance.Unfortunately, the car we rented was horrible. We paid for a mid level car and ended up with a low end Nissan. The Bluetooth audio streaming doesnt work, nor does the aux connection. For some reason, the vehicle came with a screwed on GPS unit that rattles incessantly. So we a) cant listen to our music and b) are forced to listen to an annoying noise for our 10-hour trip. Ill be going back to Budget after this rental - at least their BT works.

I was charged 300 dollars without a call or explanation for smoking. I dont even smoke in my own car!!! I was picked up by a representative and nothing was said. The car I received wasnt even that clean and smelled already! It wasnt even the car I was supposed to get... I cannot believe that they can just charge you for anything without proof or an explanation! I will be calling regional office and corporate to dispute these charges. I want proof of the findings and the findings of the previous driver...

Charged addition $370 for smoking in car(non smoker) even though no burns, but one piece of debris on the seat and dust on the dashboard. Ridiculous!

VERY POOR. WAS PAID BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEN MONTHS LATER TOOK $257.43 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. I EVEN HAD A CHECK NUMBER AND DAY IT CLEARED THE BANK. REFUSED TO HELP. THEY SAID THAT I RECEIVED THE CHECK AND CASHED IT.AND I WOULD NOT HAVE CHECKED THE ONE STAR IF I HAD THE OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
