I had a great experience here. They did a full inspection sent it to my phone with pictures and told me everything that was wrong with my car. The prices are reasonable and comparable but I always believed you pay for what you get.. customer service is top-notch The service work is the best in town. They even have a golden retriever that walks around thats very friendly. I do have to make a comment about the bathroom.... I have never been in such a clean bathroom where you get your own personal towel to dry your hands (see attached picture) also I didnt see any plastic cups you get to use real ceramic coffee cups...... you never see that at a regular service station. I would highly recommend this place. I have to go back in a week to get my tire fixed so I will let you know how that visit went as well. Update 3-7-2020 great service amazing staff. Best mechanic around. Waiting room was nice.

They took a 2000 dollar bill from Firestone and turned it into a 200 dollar bill where they did more to get the car fixed than fire stone did.They had great and friendly workers with certifications of their mechanics hanging all around the main office. After taking the car in for a diagnostic they sent pictures of the broken parts to me with their recommendation before they called. They were then able to reference those pictures and explain in detail why that needed fixed. This place has quickly become my new mechanic

Would give zero stars if could. Literally my friend went to get their car fixed, LET THEM KNOW that the thermostat was broken and the engine was over heating, ONLY for them to keep the car for two weeks when they said it would be less than that. To ONLY NOT FIX the problem. Charge, $52 to CHECK if the air conditioner worked, another $56 TO CHECK if heating did, when they could have asked. $100 TO JUST check other issues. AND CHARGE for an oil change, and then when we pick up the car it says it STILL needs and oil change. Now their car engine is over heating, and the car might explode. So literally they can’t do their job apparently.

Nice staff. Will update my post after I get the 2003 Acura out and after total cost. So as of now to be determined.

Service is good. They were able to explain what may be causing my steering problems. I have used them in the past. Price wise they are close to the same as other automotive shops. They have a fairly quick turn around on repairs.

Caveat Emptor... You may not have time for phone calls, but you might want to fit running back to this shop several times into your schedule to get a simple oil change done correctly!Three trips to get a cooling line replaced... correctly... and they overlooked lubricating the chassis (steering linkage) on all 3 trips.I sent them an email to cancel a 4th appointment and told them I was actually afraid to bring my vehicle(s) back to them!!!Giving credit where credit is due, they did a great job fixing two leaky tires and finally corrected a botched cooling line replacement issue.Still looking for a repair shop I can feel good about... they seem pretty scarce in this area...

Steve and the boys did a great job. I have a little beater car I dont want to pour hardly any money in. Mainly driving back and forth from work, they fixed the brake problem and the wheel bearing problem. I let him know I didnt want to pour much money into it. very pleased! Definitely will be back.

If you want a mechanic that fixes things for the first 10 miles off the lot, this is the one. I tried to really like them, the people seemed nice. But something is unsettling about bringing it in for a noise, and a tune up; and the noise was gone for a whole 3 days. The tune up seems great, but the noise continues and it costed me $1600. They charged me to drill out a broken exhaust bolt, which I assume was my check engine light because that wasnt on for a few days. But that came back after day 1. Now the noise that they said was my PTO is back as well. So I basically paid for a $1600 tune up I guess, and they had my car for almost a week 🤷‍♂️. I thought about calling them about this, since they do seem nice, but its not the first time Ive had to take it back to them numerous times. Basically the same thing when I did my brakes. I cant afford to be without my car for a week repeatedly, and get charged that much. 👎

Everyone that I spoke with that day was very friendly and eager to help. Jacob the mechanic who worked on my van was honest and knowledgeable and took the time after the repair to answer any questions/concerns that I had.They also had an adorable pup that they let me give some love to, sooo thats definitely a bonus for me.10/10 would reccomend this place

I have taken my cars to Finzels for 6 years and always appreciated the how the technicians are willing to explain the repairs they think my car needs and help distinguish which are essential and which are optional to fit my budget. I wrote a review already but realized it would not be posted because it was on their website where only 5 stars get approved. Do not go here for a diagnostic test. They will only do a code read, which you can do at AutoZone for free. $110 for absolutely nothing.

Their focus is on customer service and their work is terrific. Honest and trustworthy. Also, they have a terrific dog!

I loved that they sent me a text with a link to their inspection which included photos with descriptions and arrows pointing to what they were talking about and even videos describing the parts of a car for better understanding. This helped immensely when they called to discuss what they found. They also recommended letting them try to salvage some parts instead of replacing everything to save me money. Reception is very friendly and provided free shuttle service. Best experience Ive ever had getting my car fixed.

I just moved here from Indy and my car began to start funny. Third day of class it wouldnt start and everyone in class said it was the starter or alternator. Someone jumped my car successfully and took it to the shop to make sure it wasnt something more serious than the battery. I called and they were able to squeeze me in and immediately checked my car. It ended up being the battery which was a quick fix and they had me in and out of the shop in under an hour.

Had a very good first experience on 5/16/19 when I took my vehicle for diagnosis of a sound I was hearing while driving.The customer service I received was very friendly, professional, and honest. They answered my questions to the best of their ability and gave me my quoted price in writing which seems to be reasonable after I did some checking with a couple of other shops.

Finzels was able to give me an appointment within two days of calling. They were able to resolve my issue (broken exhaust pipe) when promised and did not try to up-sell me on lots of additional services. Very courteous and professional at reasonable cost...very satisfying experience.

Finzels Mastertech helped us out of a tricky situation on a Saturday. While driving on I 70 in bad weather, our Body Control Module went out. The crew at Finzels was so helpful and friendly. They found us a new module and got us on the road again. We so appreciate their kindness.

My car’s timing belt broke right before a national health crisis. And at first they didn’t mind it sitting in the lot until places opened again. But as soon as places opened at 50% capacity they wanted to be paid as soon as possible even though me and millions of other Americans are still unemployed without any pay. So I put a payment on my Napa credit card so I could finally get my car off their lot. But the employees who worked there seemed mad that my car was there for months even though it is not my fault that there was a national Stay at Home quarantine order from our state governor. One of them made a really rude comment to me and said, “we just gave you $400,” which doesn’t make sense because I’m the one who has to pay it in the next 6 months. Don’t go here because they over charge and they are not nice to people who are struggling. They don’t care if you are hit by an economic crisis out of your control.

Expensive place but they do really good service and they’re very friendly and also understanding definitely getting more work done on my car here

The quality and consistent service you can expect from them is undoubtedly above par. From the guys and gals doing an amazing job organizing the work to the technicians performing the service and repairs, it’s easy to see the all hands on deck attitude when you come in. It’s not uncommon to see the owner with his sleeves up and his head under your hood. They have all of the new technology to educate you on your needed service and beyond. You can even receive emails and text messaging regarding the status of your repair. Once you’re done that communication will continue to ensure you stay on top of your necessary maintenance. During the diagnostics, they told me they broke off one of my spark plugs. Rather than offering to fix it as a courtesy, they at first claimed I had to pay at least $330 to even get the car back on the road. I offered to simply pay for the hour of labor instead of all the necessary work, which at first they said wasnt possible and only after repeating I would pa for the diagnostics did they drop the quote to $100 and change. Classic tactics of trying to overcharge for simple things, claiming expensive fixes that need to happen before the car can leave instead of giving options. Look elsewhere, they will try to take advantage of you!

When I first walked in the staff was very helpful and friendly answering all my questions. They scheduled me in a very reasonable time frame and kept contact with me while it was in the shop on how repairs were going. I was very impressed with both the work done and the friendly staff. I had a great experience there! I wanted an oil change and I also had an oil leak. I had tons of coupons and the guy didnt even ask me for them, he just got it down to the lowest price on his own. I cant remember his name but he had a twin that also worked there. I think theyre great!

I called Fenzels yesterday to get a price and appointment to replace my fuel pump. Turns out its gonna be a job costing between $800-$1000. The lady took my name, number and vehicle details. She said shed have one of the guys call me back with an estimate. Well... apparently they cant be bothered to provide something as simple as customer service and a phone call. Never bothered to call me back. Not sure how they make money if they cant even do something so simple. Guess my work wasnt enough money for them. Either way if they lack the ability to make a phone call, I dont think Id even trust them to repair it. Good job guys. I not only wont ever use your company but with word of mouth... Ill make sure nobody I know or talk to will either. Ill take my vehicle to an efficient and courtesy establishment. Too bad I had to leave even 1 star here. Sigh

Friendly is a understament! Amazing customer service! This was my first visit but will not be my last. We have always taken our cars to the dealership but not after this experience. They was able to get me in the same day, even drove me home so I didnt have to wait while the fixed my vehicle.

I stopped by Finzels to get an estimate on some break work and they offer a free inspection so I thought that was great. The inspection took about 2 hours which I had waited in their lobby for. Since they offer an inspection for free, I feel like this persuades you into getting the work done with them because your car is already there. They told me what work needed to be done (replacing all rotors and break pads) and said they could keep my car overnight and call me in the morning when it is ready to be picked up. I was able to pick it up early the next morning. When I started the car, the engine was sort of hesitant to fire, but it did. I didnt really think anything of it because I also had an oil change done. A few hours later, I went to run some errands and the car wouldnt start at all. I never had any problems like this before so I gave them a call. He said he could send a tow truck out and get it in the shop, but I would of course have to pay for the towing services. After another two hours sitting there, they finally told me what was wrong and that I needed to replace my battery, and since it is in located in a difficult area, it would cost a little more. I went through with it because I needed it done ASAP, and my car was already there.The break work was roughly $550 and new battery with labor was $300.I thought that was pricey especially for the battery. The customer service wasnt very great either. They had a lot of customers in and out very quickly.

I took my truck in to get my AC fixed. They told me there was nothing wrong with it other than it needed to be charged. They charged me around $80 and two days later my AC was not working again. I took it to Adams Garage and they fixed it. Finzels also gave me a list of other things they said needed to be fixed costing more than $1500. This has been a while ago but Im still not happy about it.

Finzels used car inspection service saved me from wasting thousands of dollars on an SUV I probably would have regretted buying, and gave me the information I needed to negotiate a fair price on a higher-mileage SUV in rather better condition. They quite literally saved me thousands of dollars. I moved back to the Terre Haute area after living in Atlanta for six years. I was looking for an extremely professional and reasonably priced car mechanic shop. Many people told me to check out Finzels. I now take all of my families cars to Steve. I have been using him for over a year and my cars (both 100,000 miles +) are running in excellent condition. Steves prices are fair and the service and technicians are world-class. They never try to up-sell you into anything your car doesnt absolutely need. I 100% recommend Finzels Mastertech. Finzels did a great job with communicating with me and it was easy to set up an appointment with them. Although that was great, I did run into an issue. I took my car in to only get ONE specific thing done and they tried to get me to fix other things in my car was going to cost over $900. I received many phone calls throughout the day from them trying to fix other expensive things done to my car. I am a college students who does not know anything about cars, and I felt taken advantage of. Besides that they did fix my car and it is running great. If you decide to go here be very specific and demanding about what you want done to your car.

Very perfessional, let me know all the work my vehicle needed and only fixed what I wanted. The Estimate to fix what is higher than the final cost, car was ready in a reasonable amount of time.

Most times we go there, it seems that within a week or at most a month that the same issue arises. I thought this place fixed cars not make us constant customers.(Edit: I did say we. Which means myself and who went with me. We went mulitpe times and have had the mechanics refuse to see it as the same reoccuring issue. Which it was once seeing another mechanic)

10/27/2020 -Always a five star experience! They work with you to get issues taken care of quickly. They take care of the issues you came for and let you know of things that they notice, while not trying to upsell products. The people are nice and professional, the mechanics are knowledgeable and efficient, the waiting area is clean, warm/cool and has coffee and the paper. I cant believe everyone is not coming here yet. But, please dont everyone go here, because I will never get in! :)Finzels is the only shop I want to fix my vehicles!Had a 2002 Dodge Caravan that started smoking on its way to work on Friday. Was towed to the shop. They looked at it, ordered parts and fixed it that day. Their work and communication were great. This space is not big enough for me to report all of the great interactions I have had with everyone in the shop. From Steve (the owner) to any of the mechanics and front desk people! Truly a class act!-3/1/2019 - More to add!Had my new Honda serviced today. Not only were they all great to work with in answering my questions and giving me the best deal, they saved me A LOT of money! If you have a Honda, check them out for the normal maintenance (i.e. B12 and on). They blow the other prices away!

Finzels has worked on my Chevy ss Silverado and helped in looking into my ford f150 they have been spot on in getting me serviced and back on the road fairly quick they have experienced people who know what needs done and do it which keeps me motoring not waiting for this or that no excuses just work good job guys

Had a muffler replaced after a car accident damaged it and the car sounds great now. While inspecting the car my outer door handle was damaged which they replaced no-charge. Unfortunately the inner handle was damaged as well and they explained that the inner handle wasnt related to the outer handle mechanically so I would have to pay them to fix it. After asking a few times they agreed to replace the inner door handle so that I didnt have to roll down my window to get out of my car. I even received a call from the owner apologizing for the situation. The car is very old so I shouldnt have been surprised that the handle broke coincidentally.

I have never had a problem with Finzels Mastertech since I moved here from Alabama and I have them do all my repairs big or small. They always treat me good and dont talk down to me because I am a woman! Everyone is nice and professional which is a plus. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

As usual, the experience was wonderful. The appointment was just for routine maintenance, but I also asked to check the alignment since the car seemed to be pulling to the left a little bit. I got a call from the tech later who said that the alignment was spot on, but he would check further into the pull. I got a call in a while saying the left front tire had a separation, like I had hit a curb hard, and the steel cord was showing through on the inner side of the tire. They even sent me a picture of it.So glad they found it--This Friday Im driving to Iowa to see family. A blown out tire would have really wrecked the weekend. Always been treated well at Finzels. I trust their advice, and Ive never been steered wrong or disappointed.
