On July 7, 2021 I was at the Tenafly, NJ location. There was only one representative, Jay, and it was his first day. He was friendly, professional and all around excellent!It was also very busy that morning so Jay had to juggle phone calls, emails, and in person customers.Enterprise Management: Try to be more supportive of your employees. It is unprofessional on your part to place a new person in a location solo. Ten days later, when I returned the car, Jay had assistance.Overall: A very good experience with Enterprise. All credit is due to Jay.
If your dealing through insurance and trying to get a decent rental you won’t. How can you try to give a Nissan Kick to someone who drive a 4 door accord?? I need my trunk space why the F would you try to give me a car with no trunk space????? I asked if they had any cars and they didn’t . Fml !!!!

I rented a car from the Tenafly Enterprise location as I needed a car for a month due to having to be here with my son who just had surgury and the gentleman who assisted me (employed #E921V6) was not friendly or helpful when I has asked questions. I finally left unhappy but at least had my car. I then found out that I had to stay another month before my son would be released so I tried to extend the rental but it was much more expensive than if I just made a whole new reservation. When I went back to drop off and pick up a new vehicle the above employee was assisting another couple and was just as rude to them. Thankfully he was busy and a second gentleman helped me check in the car and assisted me with getting a different car was a total different experience. He was very friendly, listened to my needs and concerns and offered suggestions to assist me and even moved all my things from one car to the other. I left very happy and will be contacting management to discuss the totally two different experiences. I dont have the second gentlemans name and couldnt find his employee number, however, he was younger with dark hair. Your experience will all depend on who assists you. I want to give 5 stars due to the second gentleman but because of my initial experience I am only giving a 3.
Got a good deal. They were very accommodating. A bigger car was available and even though I was to get an economy size I was able to drive out with an large size SUV.. The employees are very nice and pleasant. This is my second time renting from this location. Both times my experience was great. I will rent from there in the future.

We were visiting family nearby, and were about to head home to Massachusetts, but we got rear-ended before we even left New Jersey. The car as towed and our insurance set us up with an Enterprise rental, but we were told we wouldnt be able to get anything until the NEXT morning, which would have meant extending our pet sitter appointment and missing work! Amazingly, once they were contacted by our insurance, this location phoned and told us that they would be able to set us up with something within the hour, even though they were almost about to close for the day. As a result, they completely saved our necks. Thank you guys so much!
Im an Enterprise Plus member and regularly rent cars at this location. The huge plus is the staff. Their customer service is great. Theyre friendly and efficient. I also appreciate Enterprises good rental rates. The minus side has nothing to do with the staff and is more of a corporate management issue, I would say. I always request a compact car, for budget reasons but also because that is what Im most comfortable driving. There has never been a compact available and a couple of times, Ive had to take SUVs, which I hate driving and they obviously guzzle a lot more gas than a compact. Finally, the cars never have a full tank of gas and this makes it a bit tricky when filling the tank to return the car. Ive talked to staff about this and theyve been more than accommodating. Again, this is a corporate issue more than a local branch issue. Overall, Id happily recommend Tenafly Enterprise, with the couple of mentioned caveats.

We use them often for my business needs, and their customer service is excellent - staff are always friendly, courteous, and super helpful. We have worked with Matt, Steve, and Cliff, and they are pleasure to work with. Weve never had any issue with their car - we have rented cargo vans and mini vans, and highly recommend using them for your rental car needs.
Unfortunately, I had a poor experience. I was told I was going to be picked up in 10 to 15 minutes and it took them over 30 minutes to pick me up. I could have walked to their location faster. The main reason for the poor rating is because the car was delivered with an empty tank of gas.
Great experience with renting a car. They just rented the last Altima and let us rent a Minivan for the same price. Great customer service to make things right.

Ive been at this location for the second time and both experiences were top notch. I would like to give all the credit to Matt. He was exceptionally helpful during my 2 visits and even on a busy schedule like today; he was able to get me in a car within 10 min after my arrival. If youre planning to rent a car at enterprise in tenafly; make sure to ask for Matt. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

Had to rent a car for my recall. Very friendly, knowledgeable people here. There was one person that was not friendly, and not knowledgeable, yet rude and obnoxious. Dont let that one person stop you from the place; just ask for someone else.

It was just ok and the best thing here is the location to those who live by. I received a car with no fuel in it and since I were on a tight schedule it wasnt easy to stop and fuel on the way. I brought the car a day earlier and left the keys at the drop box but apparently for 48 hours no one in he branch closed my contract so after not receiving an invoice for a while I made that call. Also Enterprise service people who read this, add a Chat to your site, compete with Hertz.
I am a NYC customer that uses Enterprise Rent-A-Car at this location because they offer the $9.99 per day weekend special. I am not only happy with the deal, but also the service. Their employees are friendly and professional from the beginning to the end of your reservation.
Customer service was good, but car smelled horrible! We complained about it, but they told us that it was just cleaned. My family and I tried to deal with the smell in hopes that it would fade, but it did not. We went to a enterprise near us to exchange the car the very next day because we couldn’t bear with the stinch. One of the managers there agreed and refused to let us leave with that stinky car and said the enterprise in Tenafly should of never let us leave the lot with that car in those circumstances. He also said we should get Reimbursed for that day as a act of common courtesy as a customer.

I booked the rental at this location and while booking they havent mentioned any details about the pickup restrictions not even in the confirmation email . but after that when I called for pick up they mentioned that they only do the pickup in Tenafly . I stay in 3.5 miles radius to the rental location . If they cant even cover 10 mile radius what is the point of mentioning in the website we pick you up as a unique thing and we cover 10 mile radius . Please try to be honest with the customers . Dont hide details from customers. That is not the right way to do business .

Whoever drives the enterprise van Mondays around noon should be fired. Almost caused a major accident driving like a moron reversing in the middle of the street into oncoming traffic just because he missed his turn!! Then both drivers who beeped at him received the middle finger. Fake tough guy.
