Great local establishment! I feel like the staff genuinely cares about your experience. Many of their products are made in house and theyre great. I no longer go there just because my barber works there, I would trust anyone that is on staff to get my dapper game up!

Bethany gave my son a great haircut. He hasn’t ever had a haircut like this. She paid extra attention to his cow licks that he had to make sure his hair wouldn’t stick up. The receptionist was nice. My only complaint was that my son likes to sit in my lap to get haircuts cause he’a a little shy. Well she didn’t offer me a covering for me to prevent his hair from getting on me. She didn’t offer to get it off with a blow dryer at the end and she didn’t blow dry my son when he was finished to get the excess hair off. But other than that, he got a great hair cut.

Ive been in central Texas for about 6 months now. I moved from Columbus, OH where I had a great barber who knew my hair and the cut I wanted. Ive gone to several barbers/salons since being here and this was by far the best. Ben is a professional who really takes pride in his craft. The hair therapy includes a scalp massage and a relaxing heat dome for about thirty minutes.Most clients return to the same stylist. Mines Stephanie! Super friendly and with a fun hairstyle herself. Theyre all personable and accommodating. Get to know the staff and have chitter chatter across the barber chairs, between the stylists and the customers - kinda like you see in classic movies.You might leave like your walking on sunrays.

The ladies here are super sweet, but I’ve had two different stylists cut my sons hair, it’s super simple, nothing complicated, but the end result was terrible, it was bad enough that I (a non professional) had to fix it myself.

I went for a haircut because my original stylist canceled so I found this salon and they had good reviews, mind you I’m very very picky when it comes to my hair but I trusted the reviews and everything, the staff was super friendly and sweet, my visit was pleasant BUT my haircut came out terrible, my hair was pretty lengthy and i asked for a cut about below my shoulders and some layers, she curled it and it was super pretty at the salon, i paid/tipped left, later at home I washed it and straightened it and the layers were literally chopped, and it was uneven everywhere longer pieces in the front and bluntly cut hair on the side, I’m very upset because i paid 101 in total at Dappers, just to have to go schedule another appointment with someone else to fix what she did, it’s very inconvenient to my time and money

We recently moved to Temple and glad to say after visiting two other barbershops I have found the one! Jacob and his staff truly take care of your the moment you walk in the door. The barbershop/salon is spotless and even has a minibar with wine and whiskey as well as complimentary water and soda. They offer many products and services including men and womens haircuts and color, beard trim, hot towel and straight razor shaves, and waxing. For a special touch with your hair wash they let you choose a sent of essential oil mixtures and spray it on a soft towel to drape your face with while you get your wash. Giselle did an amazing job with my cut and shave and even finished off the edges with a hot towel and straight razor. Even though it has a salon mixed in with the barbershop it feels like you are in a relaxing and stylish barbershop with all the perks! They also partner up with a local charity and run promotions with certain services with proceeds going to the charity. I will for sure be returning in the near future!

This place is great from the moment you walk through the door. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, they took my coat, offered me something to drink - it was great. Jacob (the owner) has been cutting my hair for over 10 years, and hes always looking for ways to improve on the last time. He also pushes his team to do the same, and it really shows in the quality of their work and the welcoming environment theyve created. Plus, if you get to your appointment a little bit early, the chairs they have in the waiting area are super comfortable. I wouldnt change a thing!

I cannot begin to praise Jacob and his fabulous staff enough! I have been avoiding finding a new stylist because once they find out I have a hard time coming every 6-8 weeks for maintenance, they all of a sudden cant find time to schedule me anymore. As a busy mom to two, wife, student, and employee, I tend to forget about myself. After several recommendations about Jacob, I finally made an appointment for a much needed cut. The best decision I ever made! I always tell my stylist to do whatever they think would look best because I have no sense of style or trend...and sometimes it has worked out for me and sometimes it hasnt. He suggested a long bob and it was beyond flattering! I then booked an appointment to add color for the first time in several years...freaking gorgeous! I post before and afters so you can see the amazing job he performed. There is no shortage of knowledge coming from Jacob or his staff! I also had the wonderful pleasure of having a deep condition and best brow wax to-date by Maria. She was very meticulous about waxing my eyebrows (which I dont let many people touch). Everyone is willing to explain anything you want to know from what technique they are using to how to use a styling tool or product. They are the first salon to ever offer me an aromatherapy towel for my face while getting my hair washed which was much more relaxing than I expected, offered me some wine to unwind with, and the most amazing homemade chocolate truffle I have ever eaten (And I am a chocoholic so I dont say that lightly). Bottom line...if your not a client at Dapper & Dashin Salon and Shop, you are truly missing out!

If you’ve never had your beard treated like the rare beauty that it is you need to go and have one of Jacob’s protégés or himself if he is not booked show you the way a mans beard is meant to be cared for. The hair on your head can look good but if your beard is not how you want it you might as well burn it off. Everyone has varying opinions on beards too I like the rugged overgrown look but even that is kept clean. Where most others keep it closer to their face it doesn’t matter how you wear thy badge of bravery and honor they will treat it with the care it deserves. Don’t feel bad if all you go for is a beard treatment because the hair on your head is nothing compared to the beard. Sit back have a cold one and let them work their magic. Maybe I’ll see you in there next time.

I thought I left a review but apparently I havent. This place is legit for a proper mens barber cut. Living in Belton I used to travel to Austin once a month to get a barbers cut but no more. Jacob is a great barber thatll use his scissor and comb prowess to clean you up proper.

I’ve been going to Jacob for several years now and was so excited when he told me he was opening a new shop. I’ve had ombre and balayage coloring. The first haircut was a lob and the rest have been textured layers and occasionally long bangs. I have also had a keratin treatment and have had my eyebrows waxed here. The keratin treatment helps a ton with Texas humidity and is especially nice if you like to air dry your hair. When they waxed my eyebrows I was terrified because of other experiences I’ve had where they waxed off a ton of my eyebrows. If you’re wanting a natural look for your eyebrows this is the place to go. I am always happy with his work. I love the cut and color every time and he takes time to explain what different cuts and colors will look like and if he recommends it. Diamond works there too and she is great.The new shop is a blast. They have good music playing, you can have a glass of wine or beer if you want, and you even get a homemade truffle at the end! It’s a relaxing experience from the moment you walk in. Bottom line, they are great at what they do and you can trust them. If you’re looking for a great haircut and color, especially balayage or ombré, come here!
