We purchased a membership here and the first night we signed up they couldnt print our cards because of a technical difficulty. They promised our $40.00 incentive would be credited.Tonight we visited, purchased over $200.00 worth of merchandise, went to pay, the Sale finalized without applying the credit. We spoke with the cashier who said she didnt know what to say or do but we needed to visit customer service for anything like that.We went to Customer Service and after a grueling 20 minute session we ended up with desk manager taking our name and number down on a piece of paper. We were told that they were directed to fill out a report about things like this and we should wait to get a call.After leaving the store we called the service number. The clerk on the line could see the credit on the account. Her supervisor told her that another department would need to fix it but they dont work on the weekend.

Arrived about 8:30am, tire store hrs are 9am. So I shopped for unneeded items and checked out @PRECISELY 9:11am(receipt).Asked customer service rep stores to confirm and she said 9am.Drive down to tire center door and door is locked. 9:18am I call store and they say someone will be down shortly to open, that was 9:24am. I ask woman why that dont open per hours posted. She shrugged and said she didnt know. I asked her to have General mananger to come down so could ask him.I had gone their to get nail in tire plugged. Was written up and vehicle pulled in. Then a 6+ man can partially in and said lets talk outside. I said lets talk inside. He was dressed in a Superman tshirt & badge on belt said Assistant manager. I asked why store not open at posted time. He said HE had an emergency and them apologized for his dress. I didnt care about his dress and asked where the GM was. He said he WAS THE BOSS! I said no your an assistant. He reiterated he was co-GM. Again back to his tshirt. Said this was second time in 6mo period that posted hrs werent followed that I had incurred. Asked why they didnt have procedures in place to have doors open at time posted and he said they did. Now he didnt unlock door, woman manager did. So, why was his emergency & tshirt his excuse?Only shop gas since 1st incident. Now I may not even do that!TERRIBLE BUSINESS ETHICS!p.s. in A day an age where folks do not even shop, just p/u and if they do shop, its in their pjs, why he focused on his Superman tshirt & NOT opening tire store on posted time is MIND BOGGLING!

Usually outstanding service but today was standout. A gal named Crystal (I hope I got that right) helped me at the snack area. She was absolutely wonderful. God bless you guys for such a genius hire. She is very nice, patient and helpful. Thanks so much

Busy place. Couldnt find parking in the whole parking lot.Prices are pretty good, especially with coupons. It took so long to get assistance though and I didnt have time to wait.Definitely go when you have more time as the store is huge! Just like a Sams Club with out the charm :)

Use to love this store. Now that they took away the scanner guns at check not sure how many trips I will make here. Its a big pain to take all your items out of the cart to run over the scanner.

BJS is a great place to shop when you want things with larger quantities. Know your prices on items because that will help you to determine the worth. The only thing I personally hesitate to buy is meat because when I have bought meat it did not last long.

I really like BJs, selection, prices, variety. My biggest complaint is them getting rid of self checkout scanners. Now I have to pick all of my heavy items up and scan them. They are supposed to have an employee do that for you, but no one is ever around for that. It makes the Shopping trips there more difficult.

Placed a curbside pick up order. Strawberries and spinach were not fresh. Blue cheese dressing expired the next day.

They have parking spots for people with infants right by the door. That is so helpful! You can use coupons which makes prices lower. The colossal cookie is amazing and reasonably priced.

Clean store and friendly employees. Hate that they got rid of the hand held scanners for self checkout. Now, they have an employee scan for you - whats the point? Waste of time and inconvenience. Also, they got rid of Labatt Light 36 packs. Sad visit all around.

I used to love this place until I came in today and went to the self checkout like always and none if them had the scanner wands because of covid! Really!? Let me just lift heavy cases of water bottles and gatorade onto your scanner. Makes no sense considering we are all still touching the keypad too. Ridiculous......

Bought meat from BJs when i got home meat was spoiled found out BJs changed Expiration dateAnd found this is a common practice when its coming up on a expiration date they just change the tag on itBeware of a spoiled meatWill never shop there again went back to Sams Club

I like self-check out service because its fast and convenient. Unfortunately, BJ’s made a big mistake of removing the scanners from the self-check out lanes due to covid. Too bad BJ’s associates not cleaning the registers after use and not practicing social distances.

BJS Blows the other warehouse clubs out of the water!! Turning in my other memberships...BJS is my ONLY warehouse I will shop from now on!!!!

Its a nice place to go very clean and reasonably priced theyre usually in stock for all your shopping needs their is coupons that you receive in the mail they do have good deals.

I have been doing BJs Curbside for several months now but its getting ridiculous because they are always out of stock of everything. Unlike other grocery stores that offer substitutions on out of stock items, BJs just ups and cancels your selection and offers no alternatives... So surprise when you get there and find half of your items missing with no recourse.

Early last month in February I purchased a “RING” for my new home. March 1st was when I decided to take it back because my Aunt said it wasn’t going to fit. I go up there and take back and they stated that it was the RING battery. I feel silly because I didn’t know until they mentioned it and it clearly says battery. So the lady said it was the battery and the lady was telling the guy how big the actual RING box was. This was my first time purchasing a RING, I didn’t know the size of the box because when you purchase it, it’s a cardboard box and after you purchase it, you get the real item. So he continues to say “something fishy going on here something fishy going on” as if I would be lying. Yes it is something fishy going on because why did I pay over $120 for a RING and BJS the company gave me a $20 battery in return!!!! So the guy said the store manager have to investigate the situation and run the cameras back as if that was supposed to spook me or something. I told him that’s fine. The lady made a copy of my receipt and I put my name and number on the piece of paper. Was told they will call me yesterday, March 2, 2021. I didn’t receive a call, voicemail, NOTHING!!! I call this morning about the situation and explained to the lady over the phone. She told me to hold on and got back on the phone and said sorry that they didn’t call and that I can come back up there to get my refund. I immediately went up there. They all kept saying that they were sorry and that was it!!!! HOW BJS DO A WHOLE INVESTIGATION ON MY SITUATION AND FORGOT TO CALL ME AND ALL I GOT WAS AN APOLOGY. Just wow!! I paid over $120 for a RING and got a $20 RING battery instead. The first mistake! Try to get my money back and was pretty much accused of lying. The second mistake! Then did a whole investigation on my situation and FORGOT TO CALL ME. The third mistake!! I wholeheartedly understand that it was probably an honest mistake that they gave me the battery and not the actual RING but to make me feel like I was lying or trying to steal is disrespectful to customers who pay good money there!! I will never go there again!!!

Very nice employees, very well-laid-out store. Less anxiety-inducing than Costco. Bread selection was disappointing. They had lots of good stuff. I was sad to realize it was built in an undeveloped piece of land, when there are plenty of empty buildings in the area that could have been reused.

Today I was accused of stealing and when the manager came and talk to me after the man at the door check my receipt she began to count my items check them on my receipt then she looked over the receipt count the item read the receipt repeated it 3 times and after I started to leave and she stopped my buggy and said I’m still checking I had 14 items in my buggy she even move some stuff around and I told her I don’t have to steal anything she just won’t give me my receipt and the buggy I had no choice but wait for her to continue to look over my buggy only to say I know you have something but can keep it I say you bet I can keep everything I payed for it all

I have to say this real quick. Upon going down to BJ’s Wholesale, I really enjoyed my experience. No I had a membership way back in 2004 five before I move back to Detroit from Atlanta they were not able to pull that up so I went ahead and I pay for another membership now guess what? Upon getting your membership if you pay the $55 one then you will get a $35 gift card in return if you get the one for $110 then you will get a $70 gift card back and return. I wasn’t expecting that so I really went shopping today. Everyone that I met there was very courteous the store was very clean they gave you a layout on East apartment and where everything is located oh my goodness this was really one awesome experience. So when you get a chance come to the BJ’s that’s located on Rancho and N. Line Highway I really really love it here.

ATTENTION! need protection? Not here. No rubbers in the building. Go across the street for that. But theyve got everything else from cheese cubes to tvs.

****Buyer Beware**** Was going to purchase a $3,000+ Samsung TV that was on sale for $2,199. BJs was charging me sales tax for the pre-sale price which was $204. The store would not adjust the price. Sams Club and Costco had the same exact TV for the same price and charged the appropriate amount of sales tax which was $131, a $73 difference. The store wouldnt adjust the price even after explaining and showing them their competitors prices. Needless to say, I went to Sams club which had a better warranty anyway.

Got all the fixings for some great subs! Meats were lean and tasty. Produce was ripe and in perfect condition. Buns were nice and soft. Been really happy with items Ive purchased. Saved $12 with coupons to boot and that was on less than $50 total 😁

Overall a disappointment. I purchased a membership and have been there 3 times. The first time was OK I noted they had inexpensive food there and thought it would be a fun family shopping trip. I noted some of the products and prices. Returned for a second trip, in comparing prices I found they were not really any less expensive than the other stores. Went to take a break with the kids and let the wife shop. Tried to order hot dogs for myself and the kids and they were out. Note it was only 11am. I asked about the hot pretzels. They were also out. She said return in half hour and some hot dogs might be ready. Continued shopping then grabbed a hot dog on the way out. It was good and very inexpensive. Returned for a third trip and again they were out of all hot dogs and pretzels. This based on the prices not really being any less expensive than other stores makes me take BKJs off my shopping schedule. Wish I could get the Membership cost back!!!

Edit:They charged us tax on the original price of an item instead of the sales price(instant clipless coupon)! After quickly looking at normal shopping trips where BJs coupons were used, it looks like I was overcharged for that too. Im completely disappointed and astounded! Ive enjoyed this store for nearly a year and now I feel deceived! I have research to do but how can this be legal?Not a fan of Sams Club but they may get my business back.Overall good experiences. One bad one with the security guard who was rude and insulting as we just walked in the door.Prices fluctuate often within a short period of time. Bottle return opens an hour after the store opens?! Very oddOtherwise clean, mostly friendly staff and the coupons are great too.

With a cart full theres no way customers should have to take all their things out of their cart in order to scan them when you have hand held scanners that work but because the employees and management are too lazy to clean them after each use they decided to remove all hand held scanners at the self check out.Very inconvenient for the paying customer.I dont need the employee to scan my items with their hand held scanners if thats the case I would of stood in line and not used self check out.Make it make sense.

Cant give a 5 Star rating just yet. Only been once, not really sure its gonna be great or not yet. Place was super clean, but also brand new. Staff is very friendly and helpful, prices seem good for the most part, but some unfamiliar brands and a slight lack of selection. Will be frequenting this place.

Very very rude. I called 6 times and they either don’t answer or they put me on hold for more than 5 minutes. Not one time, not two times. Six times I called. If they can’t keep up maybe they should have more staff there. Really bad service

Pleasantly surprised. Very surprised in the much lower prices than the other warehouse clubs. Including clothes, food, bake shop, etc. Loved the deli. Spent more than I expected. Also excellent customer service all around. Bravo.

This is a beautiful store. Very well organized. Employees were eager to help. They were ready for the crowd. I think the prices were better than Sams Club or Costco. A great selection of different brands.

BJs wholesale club has a slightly different selection than other stores, reasonable prices. I gave them 2 stars because I purchased 5.50 pounds of chicken but when I prepared it for recipes that required one pound I barely got 4 pounds. I gave them 2 stars, instead of 1 because they are reimbursing the cost of the chicken when I called them

Good place with surprised lower prices on selected items. Customer service, Security person and welcoming person needs training so that they can stop flirting in front of the public and greet them properly. BJs a good competition with Sams Club and Costco.

Its not bad. A little bit smaller than Sams Club or Costco. They have a lot of the same things. The fresh deli counter is definitely a plus. Seems a bit tight inside. With the amount of land available where it was built, they definitely could have built it a little bit bigger. The gas station is nice, but it should be all credit or debit. No cash payment. It delays everything immensely. Im not sure if Ill keep my membership after the year expires.

After my second visit there two days after grand opening I needed a parking place I parked in the gas station area. A woman named PATSY came out and said I can’t park there but she will move her car so I could park in the parking lot. She was working the gas station area.She moved her car and I used her spot like I said she was working the pumps. Just like the rest of the staff that I’ve experienced already, everybody is nice. Thank you PATSY. A great employee

The customer service at this store was terrible. We were using the self checkout when after we finished there was an issue that said on the screen to wait for assistance. After waiting for about 5 min and nobody cane my wife looked for someone to help us. And “Dawn” came and was so rude to us and basically said we didn’t know what we were doing. And my wife said she should work on her people skills and Dawn said yeah, I probably do. And proceed to talk under her breath about us as she walked away.And having to clip coupons is a joke. If you miss them you don’t get the sale price. It’s more work than it should be. Sams Club is MUCH better!!

Opening week was pretty crowded but the store looks really good. Everything is stocked and meet. With the purchases we made we got an additional 50 cents off per gallon at the gas station. Paid $1.69 a gallon! Great experience so far.

They do have a large variety of products. I love their deli selection too and how they can cut them fresh for you and the amount you want. The staff is friendly and helpful. Make sure you download their app because they do have a lot of coupons on there you can use. Just make sure at the end the coupons are applied while checking out. If not ask whoever is working there and they will apply the discount manually. The gas price so far is competitive and i like the layout of it. Definitely worth shopping there.

Its only day two of the store being opened but I was impressed at how knowledgeable the associates were, how well stocked all the shelves were, and how employees were managing the lines. The gas prices are phenomenal and I felt their organic fresh produce prices were very reasonable. The downside is that the parking lot is much too small for the building. Many customers were parking at Menards and walking over. Ill update this in a few months to see if things start to slide as the store matures.

Love it! Everyone is helpful and polite. So far prices have been better than Sams club. Love that you can use coupons for extra savings. They have lots of them, every month.

The atmosphere was grate. Everything was lower in price then the other wholesale places. Check out was fast you dont have to take your items out of the cart. Everyone was very helpful 😊.

I gave it a 3 star rating because it was my first visit and they just opened. It was very busy and not enough parking. They have some nice deals for the grand opening but you have to remember you are buying in bulk. This store is just like all of the rest in that some items are cheaper than other stores and some items arent worth the price. Very nice assortment of clothes at good prices. It is a large store so I didnt get to see everything because there was a lot of people! I may change my rating after I have visited a few times.

Been going to get gas before the store opened. I find the staff at the fuel area very friendly. Happy that they accept cash also! Went to the store after the opening. Impressive setup. I implore you to have the staff in the snack area near the checkout to change his gloves between handling food and taking customers cash/tender and for that matter when he is ringing on the POS. Evening shift 11-21-19 I observed the male staff perform those tasks in the same gloves.

Terrible experience. I pay for the membership and spend a lot of money here multiple different times. Today, the cashier forgot to scan two items, and we get stopped at the door by a very rude woman asking if we were trying to hide them. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Very much like a Sams. But if you dont mind using coupons. The savings can be worth it. Especially when you purchase items that go towards your gas tank...stack them. Our gas was was 1.83 a gallon this week. We were on empty...nice savings there.

Know your prices Yes they have things cheaper than Costco but they are not cheaper than Sams club. If your not a coupon clipper you wont really save money but if your a coupon clipper you knows how to find deals anywhere.Some of the clipless deals are somewhat good but they generally make it the same cost as other stores.

Decided to give them a try got the 110 dollar membership card. The store was clean. Most prices are higher then Sams club. The employees are about the most rude people I have ever seen. One employee talking about fighting another girl. Three others standing there laughing with her. The cashier was rude, seemed to not care about her job. I was asking her a question and she stopped ringing my items up and walked away to go talk. I will be canceling my membership and not returning to the store.

Im soooo happy there is one now in Michigan. I have always been a member since I lived in NJ and was very disappointed that I had to end my membership due to moving. They are better than Sams Club and Costco in my opinion. The savings and rewards are so worth the membership cost. This location is so convenient.

Taylor Location...a BIG disappointment! Ben there a handful of times in the year it opened, selection on products are mainly the Berkly-Jenson or a couple of other main household products(not enough to choose from, even fresh meats) the only product I’ve been buying this year was Coffee beans and laundry soap. The OPTICAL DEPT. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. The Optical manager is not organized, she losses glasses, has no idea about contact lenses, she does not tell the truth when you remind her of a phone conversation you had with her, And the Optometrist just up and left. I’ve witnessed other customers in line with having problems as well. It needs someone in there that knows what their doing!!!

Average prices, some items are reasonably priced but not enough to justify the membership cost. If you have a large family or are just enjoy eating a lot the prices on food are about 5-10% lower than other stories. Store, small cafe area and parking lot are dity.

Layout of the facility was very good and the prices very good also. The best part of the shopping experience was the attitude and helpfulness of the employees especially Kim (checkout) she went out of her way to explain how the gasoline point system worked for us we were a little confused at first until she explained everything.

For the store being just opened, I believe they were not stocked very well, and this was a Monday. Employees were friendly, but not too familiar with where products were in the store. Sale products should have been better displayed. Will try again in a few weeks.

I had ran out of gas in taylor and was able to make it to BJs gas pumps. When i tried to pay for gas the rude attendant turned me away saying she couldnt sell me gas without a membership. Didnt offer to try and set up a membership up or anything. Mind you i was trying to pay in cash, so after much frustration and driving the sputtering car to another gas station. I came to the conclusion that i will never shop at BJs or attempt to use any of your services again. Hire better people. I sure feel like she could have used the BJs store card like any other business does or figured out a solution that would help both parties. Thanks for the hassle. It was very unprofessional.

Been here twice in opening week. Nice place. Nothing different then a SAMs or Costco, but it is a nice place with a bit more Deli/meat then the other places.

Like all wholesale stores very competitive pricing if you dont mind buying in quantity. Here they dont charge as much to join and they may not have everything as Sams club and Costcos, but they are a lot closer and give you a good deal on gasoline by buying certain items !

Its like a smaller Sams club. I dont like the fact that they dont take their own credit card payments in the store. I use store cards to save 5% but have to pay the bill online only. The selection is good and prices are fair... the deli counter is convenient and selection of ice cream better then at Sams club.

Items cheaper at Costco, but you dont have to buy the bulk on must items at BJs. My biggest complaint is coupons. You have to save each coupon to your account on the app or bring in the coupon. But some folks love coupon clipping.

I was truly excited about the warehouse prior to Covid19. Since Covid19 they seem to be out of everything. When you call to try to see if they have certain products theyre not allowed to give out that information. Keep in mind this store and the Madison heights are both 30 minutes drive from my home. A long way to drive for nothing! I understand allowing customers 60 & over and first responders to shop earlier but that leaves nothing for the other customers. No toliet paper, paper towels, lysol wipes, water, meat, milk etc. This is beyond ridiculous. I hope things do get better soon or I will have to think twice about renewing my membership. If things get better I will update my review.

So far it seems that this new warehouse club is a popular place. Went today for the first time and the store has been open for four days now. The prices are comparable to Sams Club in some areas but others excessive overpriced. Make sure that you price check and see if its worth the purchase. Only a four star for now. Hope to amend to a five soon!

Received a Christmas gift from my company. Because the order was placed on line they would only return the money back to the CC or give me store credit. This item was around $400, unopened. The frustration comes in when I called the 800#prior to make sure I could return it and do that very thing. I was reassured that could be done. Just to find out that I was given the wrong information when they called the 800# themselves.A waste of my time and resources and I will not be renewing this in the future.

Very disorganized. No one could find what I was looking for. I was told to order online and just pitch it up. The pitch up area is very small...no line...I had to move one way for people wanting to sit and eat, then the other way to get out of the way for checkout. When someone was ready to help, she started to help the people behind me. I was there at least 5 minutes before them. Get your act together.

Typical club warehouse with every imaginable genre of goods. Plenty of parking. Shopped inside to check pricing on some big purchase items (TV, wireless headphones, printer) and found everything I was looking for elsewhere for cheaper. Membership allows access to gas prices lower than anyone in the area. However, inside, there is NO price advantage to other venues (Meijers, Kroger, Sams, Costco, etc). I will probably not renew my membership.

I really like the place until you try calling to get hold of someone. All options send me to the tire department and from there a answered phone until disconnected.I really like the deli, but have had failures when using the app to order. Great concept, but the ppl placing the order are ignorant of the proper way to prepare food, or simple dont care. I have met several of the ppl behind the counter, very friendly, knowledgeable in person. Dont know what the issue is using the app, and am unable to talk to anyone via phone.

At first glance, it appears ok. Fresh vegetables and a deli area. Joined based on other factors also, such as gas prices when we are in their areas. Tonight $2.25 per gallon.

This place is a joke. They send managers out to chase around, and yell at customers with disabilities who cannot wear masks. They might as well say nobody in a wheelchair is allowed in the store. I will be cancelling my membership.

Very nice and clean despite Grand opening being super super crowded. Will be excellent once opening day crowd goes to normal business.

Nice and clean and well stocked. Doesnt carry as much as Costco, but its a lot closer to me. Not many snack type items. Workers were very friendly.
