They are not skilled with cutting the hair of people of color( curly hair). Sat down only to watch the staff panic and urge the next person that it was their turn. My hairline was pulled 1/2 a centimeter in either direction and still it was a crooked lineup I had to ask her to just stop….I asked for a fade and she took the #1 over my whole head…..Hairdresser wouldn’t look me in the eye during or after the cut. Didn’t offer any other services. I paid 20$ for an uneven haircut and a crooked line up. This is my first and only bad lady jane experience.

Love my Barber Sanja she is so patient with my kids and does An amazing job never changing.

Seriously dont waste your time here the last two times I got a haircut the hairdresser were unskilled an high as a kite the black one kept talking to me about acid and molly not at all what I want to hear about while getting my haircut practically falling on me with how much her stomach hit my head and now more recently my hairdresser reaked like an ashtray I couldnt focus on anything else it made me sick let alone her 5am whisky breathe, seriously disgusting how are you gonna cut hair smelling like that, its worriesome to have people blatantly high cutting hair save your time go somewheres professional and they didnt do a good job seriously messed up my hair both times

Got a Haircut at Lady Janes Taylor today. They have excellent customer service. Of all the Lady Janes downriver, Ive had great experiences and great haircuts here. Linda cut my hair today. I’ve been going to lady Janes for about 10 years now. They usually do a pretty good job at cutting my hair so I’ve come back every now and again for haircuts. The one thing that actually brought me to this review was the unprofessionalism and horrible customer service on a regular visiting basis. I make sure every time to have an appointment so I don’t have to wait to get a haircut but yet every time I am waiting 15-30 minutes. Even this morning I asked to make sure someone be ready at 4 (I chose anyone available so that literally anyone would be ready at 4 because I had time restrictions to my schedule). When I got there I told them my appointment time and was told about 15-20 minutes to wait. Following this I said no thanks and proceeded to leave because I simply didn’t have the time to wait and was harassed by one of the stylists upon leaving like it was my fault I didn’t have the time to wait. They will not respect your time and will seemingly do whatever they want. Like I said though I do think they do good haircuts but I don’t think I’ll ever go to this location ever again.

Got the worst haircut since Ive been maybe 12 here. Asked for a fade and my stylist (Sherri I believe) started from the top of my sides first and then down.. Never seen this in my life.. Asked for the top to be left long and she kind of just kept cutting to the point where to blend it all together it had to go even shorter.. Walked in with a decent, albeit longer haircut. Walked out looking like Rod Farva.. Like car ramrod Rod Farva

Had a bad first experience here with Cheryl but the manager Elena (I think that was her name) did a great job fixing the cut.

Never been here and didnt know the stylists. But I met a real nice lady by the name of Linda and when she was done with my hair. I was very pleased.

Great experience! It was my first trip to LJ and they have my business moving forward. Atmosphere is great and the stylist take their time to ensure youre satisfied. I tried this place after trying a lot of other places. And this is where I finally found my peace. All the staff is very welcoming and loving.My personal favorite is Gabi. She’s like a family to me now. She is so talented and has always done way better than my expectations. Since my first time I’ve been coming regularly here and just loved my every visit.I would give you a heads up to just go up there and experience the quality service from the loving staff.

Called 11:30 am and made an appointment for 3 pm,when I arrived for my appointment with Lisa, she had a client waiting to get his hair cut. She rushed cutting my hair. She spent 10 minutes cutting to get to her other client. My side burns where not even close to being even and the back of my head was was not close to square, it was on an angle. I could have went to Super Cuts and probably got a better hair cut. Needless to say, Lisa will never touch my hair ever again. I had to have my neighbor come over and straighten the back out and I had to literally get rid of my side burns because she shaved one completely off. Worst hair cut ever.

Was told a 20 minute wait then waited over an hour without a single employee even acknowledging me. I get if you’re busy and don’t have time right now but say that before I waste an hour of my day. And leave without a haircut.

Hard to find a barber to cut a flat top. Sonya does a great job. Always upbeat atmosphere. Working on being a regular.

I send my husband to Lady Janes for his haircuts and beard trims. The cuts and trims are always excellent, and he appreciates the time the Stylists spend with the clients. You dont feel rushed, its like an old fashioned Barber Shop, with a Man Cave feel.

Poor attitude didnt even want to recognize me or my children until she answered the phone then proceeded to give me the time she just made the appointment for long story short walk ins arent as welcome really dont want to make it a race issue but i wouldnt spend my hard earned money there

I want to assure everyone that this is a NOT an in and out place. MOST of us take our time, talk to our clients and give amazing haircuts. There are a small handful of people that rush through but thats not what we strive for. Personally, I am very passionate about what I do and I love my job. Hopefully the guy in that last post will give us a second chance. Ask for Sonya next time! I work Friday through Tuesday and Id be happy to take care of you! I promise Ill change your mind.

My husband has been coming to this location for awhile now. All the stylists do a wonderful job but especially Gabi, who is also the manager. They are always accommodating and pleasant. I would highly recommend their services.

I gave Alaysa the most simple instructions, buzz it with a number 2, and that was too much for her. She hacked the line over my ear on the left side extra high, making it look like there should be a hearing aid there. Then she left the right side where the other side should have been cut to. I went home and saw how ridiculous it looked, since they have no hand mirror supposedly. What kind of barber shop doesnt have a hand mirror to look at the side of your head? The kind that hacks your hair all up apparently. So I went back to at least have her match the hack job she did on the left. Then she said, what do you want me to hack all your hair off on this side? Not wanting to even try and rectify the situation. What a joke. I had to fix it myself. Do yourself a favor and NEVER go here.

Megan did an awesome job on my son hair. Exactly how he wanted it and Shawna did amazing on mines. Friendly service and gave good advice on future styles. Absolutely love the visit there and will continue to go there for further service.

Depending on who is cutting your hair, you can get a good quality cut. Get the next one available option, and you will most likely get the worst barber. I got lucky to get a good barber my first time here, but she moved to a different chain, and it has been downhill since. Id say 50% of the ladies can cut, and the remaining dont take their work seriously enough to do a good job.

Got a cut before going to work. Didn’t have to wait too long as I walked in with no appointment. The stylist was very polite and professional. I just moved up and haven’t found a go to barber shop but I think I found it.

The staff is super sweet. I took my son to get his hair cut. He was worried they wouldnt understand the vibe he was going for but the lady who cut his hair nailed it.

Haley Rocks!If you looking for an excellent, consistent haircut you have to go see Haley at Lady Janes in Taylor. I am religious about getting my haircut every two weeks and she never disappoints me. I take my seven year old son for haircuts with Haley and she is perfect with kids as well, she can actually get them to sit still while she works her magic. Excellent haircuts for a reasonably price!

Sonya is by far the best hairstylist Ive ever had. Very friendly, easy to hold conversation, and really polite. The hair cut itself is always the way I ask with attention to detail. Ive always had a problem finding someone who can fade the sides evenly and consistently until I started coming here. The last thing I was very impressed with was the time it took her to do such a good job. Never takes too long even with a shampoo and rinse. 5/5. Highly recommended asking for her

I will not be going back the lady was very nice maybe it was a bad day for her but had to come home and fix my mustache and beard for $50 i feel ripped off. I told her it looked funny and there wasn’t a real strong effort to fix it. She also tried to line me up and brought my hair line up almost an inch. No joke will be wearing a hat for a while. And also the face and neck towels smell like they washed them and let them sit for a day before drying This is the Taylor location.

Great atmosphere the people there and great work they do there. Very friendly and very helpful. Made some great friends there. I would recommend going there.

If youre struggling to find a place to get a great haircut, then go to the Lady Janes in Taylor. Hayley is an amazing stylist who consistently gives great haircuts. She can fade a zero with extreme skill, and always makes sure the cut is exactly what you wanted. I know I will continue to go back, and I highly recommend that if you are reading this you should go there too.

First time at a good barber. Always got an 8 dollar haircut at Superior Cuts in Wyandotte. Love the attention to detail and the extra mile this place went. Scalp massage, shampoo and conditioner, beard trim with the beard oil. Came out feeling and looking fresh.

Been going there for a couple years and Sonya makes time for me and my son every time. Always cuts my hair just as I want it, very consistent. A pleasure to be around and a plus that she is great with my 3 year old son. I would recommend 10 times out of 10!

Drove all the way from Ypsilanti to be told at 4:40pm that they weren’t going to take my son even though I called on my way in. One woman opened the door before I even opened it myself and stated we can’t take you, we are closed in a very rude manner. Very very poor customer service. I wish I could give ZERO STARS. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Best place to get your hair cut period! Ive been going to Lady Janes in Taylor for years. Always get a good hair cut and I love the hot towel treatment. If you go to the Taylor location ask for Jenna, she is good.

Day before Thanksgiving needed my haircut looked at the reviews before I went to this location found most reviews were not great but decided to give it a go anyway. Brittany was my stylist she did an AMAZING job i even got the scalp massage, the staff was all awesome and very very friendly. Good place to go.

They spend a lot of $$ on advertising to get you in. In reality its just a Quick in Quick out joint with no quality or customer satisfaction whatsoever. It was my first and definitely last time. I asked for a neat cut to try something nice.....the barber said Oh..Ill just give you a standard gentlemens cut..standard cut?..really???...whats all the marketing hype about then. I sit on the chair ......on your mark....get set ...GO!!!....start..tick tick...a few minutes and done??????!!!! with scissors and comb! She rushed my cut..rushed to rinse my hair and bye bye. There was no one waiting after me......why the Rush?? I had to use my trimmer when I got home to even both sides. An average barber takes a good 20+ minutes to trim a guys hair and talks to him during the cut to make sure the customer is happy with the results...check one side ...other side etc.......This is a branded barber???...seriously?....Totally not worth the money.!!!!!!....go somewhere else. The $10 a cut shops do a much better job. They need repeat customers....these guys apparently dont.

I go there every time I need a haircut. They all do a very good job. Clean hair cuts, clean stations, and over all amazing place. Im very specific with what I like and Haley does fantastic every time no fail! If you need a fade, or military cut shes the one to go to.

A word of advice... please dont recommend a design to line in to a childs hair when its painfully obvious said design is not part of your skill set. $20 for this cut and i couldve honestly done a better job myself. This is a star

Great Lady Janes location with a lovely staff. Sonya is my preferred stylist, but Samantha, Rosie, and co. have all given me a great cut and scalp massage at some point! Polite and Im usually out of there for under $25 with tip.
