Our guide (Katrina) went above and beyond to assure that we had the best excursion possible. Being a native of the area, she had a vast knowledge of the areas history as well as the local wildlife. I cant wait to go on another one of their adventures! Also, I highly recommend adding the post-paddle brew option. The Bru House has some excellent local brews, and the bartender was awesome!

Thanks to Adventure Outdoor Paddle my family and I had our very first Kayaking experience. We had a blast on our Dora Canal tour. Jimmy who was our tour guide was very informative. Katrina was also very kind. She answered all my questions I had prior to booking the tour guide trip. I’m looking forward to booking with them again for another family fun day.

I took my two close friends and their two young boys. They all loved it. The older son is now hooked on kayaking. AOP offers great service: ready when we arrived, on time pick up and a great price for a fun activity. They dropped us off in Doar Canal so we did not have to fight the wind on Lake Dora - at no extra charge. What a great day! We will be back soon!

Enjoyed the Fly out, paddle in excursion August 2. Our paddle guide was Katrina and she was awesome! She expertly guided us from Lake Eustis to Lake Dora through the Dora Canal. Peppering us with facts about history of the canal and wildlife as we went. The kayaks were in good shape and we were provided with life vests for safety. A superb experience all around.

Super Super friendly! So helpful, made sure I felt comfortable before leaving and that my mom and I had everything we needed, thoroughly explained the map and sent one with us. Gave us some honest and helpful tips about food and drinks when we got back too! Definitely will be back. Great day on the water. We had the first reservations of the day and the paddleboards were by the lake and ready for us. The equipment was like new and we were given great advice on how to use our time to make the most of our day. Excellent experience. Highly recommend it for the non-Mickey crowd.

Im so glad that I took on this adventure of paddling . It grounds me it makes me feel relaxed and doing this once or twice a month is very beneficial. I Encourage individuals who need to need to get away to come and enjoy some time on the water.

My husband and I rented SUPs for the first time and had a blast! This is a must tour of the canal at Mount Dora. I am so impressed with the amount of knowledge that is dispensed on this tour. Jimmy was an excellent guide. His concern was always the safety of the four of us kayaking followed by acquainting us with the birds, creatures and inhabitants on the canal. A well spent two hours. My mother and I rented a tandem kayak for Mothers Day. Nothing but an incredibly positive experience renting through Adventure Outdoor Paddle. They called us ahead of time to notify us about a change in location due to weather concerns. They were timely, both at launch and at pickup. Really pleasant people to work with; friendly and answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations, and went out of their way to get beautiful flowers for the mothers as the cherry on top!The only con I had was since it was such a nice day out, the canals were really packed with boats so it wasnt as relaxing on the main canal. The side canals gave a little reprieve, though. This wasnt a problem with the company, though, since everyone had the idea to go out and enjoy the day.Overall, fair value and a superb, customer-centric experience.

The people working were very fun and down to earth.They were able to apply the military discount even after I forgot to add it at checkout.We booked for 2:00 p.m. and because they knew the marina was going to be busy in the afternoon, they gave us a heads up and asked if we could come early, thankfully we were able to!The bikes were a workout, but very worth it.I would go again!

My first trip kayaking ever was with Adventure Outdoor Paddle in 2019. Ive taken several tours with them and they are all excellent. Since then Ive gotten my own kayak and it has become one of my favorite past times. This past weekends tour was no exception. Not only would I recommend this company to any of my friends. Ill be using them again myself every time Im back in central Florida.

Katrina was lovely to coordinate with and extremely friendly. Took a kayak up the canal to Fish Camp Lake Eustis for lunch before kayaking back. Afternoon thunderstorms became an issue and she helped plan for any conflict it may cause. She helped explain the route clearly and had no issues navigating thanks to her directions. Super convenient location in Tavares and easy to hop in the water and go.

This was my teenage son’s first time kayaking. It was a wonderful first time experience for amateurs. Jimmy, the guide, was very knowledgeable and professional. It was a great morning adventure on the canal.

Great experience with Adventure Outdoor Paddle! I rented a kayak because my wife has her own one person kayak and she wanted to go kayaking with me but I do not have my own. Renting from AOP was easy and the staff was friendly, punctual, and professional. This company offers guided tours as well but I did not need the guided tour because I live near this area. I would definitely use AOP again!

We have lived in this area for 6 years and have never had so much fun!! The hostess(Katrina?) was amazingly responsive to everything. We are both over 60 yrs old and to be out on the water riding a bike when you have arthritis issues was amazing. PLEASE TRY IT!

Wonderful kayaking experience along the beautiful Dora Canal. Staff was super friendly including adorning my kayak with birthday decorum which welcomed lots of birthday wish and songs along the trip! Highly recommend this company and experience! Also terrific restaurants and breweries within walking distance!

There are many boats that are driven across the water through the canal, but all the wildlife that you see is worth all the trouble. Worth the money for two hours and got a good workout in.

Husband and I got a lesson to try out paddleboarding. Instruction was absolutely excellent and the instructor was so great. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable and got us hooked on paddleboarding. Now we have our own and cant stop going out on them. If youre thinking of trying them out, go here. You wont regret it.

I had a very friendly conversation on the phone to make my reservation; they also offer reservations online. They sent us our waivers via email, and we sent them back via email, so it was totally contactless. Jan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. She started us off with a quick safety briefing and explanation of how to paddle, then launched us and let us practice for a bit in our kayaks before we turned to our trip proper. Jan helped us see all the beauty of the Mount Dora canal. She also kept us safe, gently guiding me out of a few minor tight spots and over to the side of the canal when needed, safely away from other boats. She really made us feel like pros, even though it had been quite a while since either of us had been in a kayak. I would highly recommend Adventure Outdoor Paddle for anyone who is just starting to get into the sport, and even more advanced beginners and intermediate kayakers who appreciate a knowledgeable guide when making their way through an area.

Wonderful experience paddling and flying. Awesome scenery along the way and spotted many beautiful birds along the canal. The kayaks were great - and our terrific guide, Jan gave good instruction before we set off. She also was a wealth of knowledge during our trip - we learned a lot.After kayaking through the canal, our seaplane was waiting for us. Our seasoned pilot, Paul, was great. He flew us over the many lakes in the area and he also shared lots of info and interesting insights about the beautiful landscape below. Very smooth flight.

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable of nature.Stayed and walked her thru instructions on how to paddle to help one of the kayakers. He gave us good advice as well. It was a relaxing and fun kayak trip, then brunch with mamosas at peddle jumpers restaurant next door. Food and drinks were great. I would go again.

What a great time! They are easier to ride than expected could have rode for more than an hour.

We recently went tandem kayaking in their BRAND NEW kayaks! What a great experience. Katrina was so friendly and helpful with our reservation and happily held our kayak reservation even when we were running late. We paddled out into the lake and then up the canals where nature takes over and transports you to another time. We went later in the afternoon so there was some boat traffic but the boaters are very accommodating to the kayakers and we never felt overwhelmed. The new kayaks are super comfortable with great support in both seats. It even has little hidden hold inside to put my phone. The paddles felt slightly heavy but you get used to it once youre warmed up and comfortable. The grip was a tiny bit slippery, but a bit of extra grippy rubber could easily help. All in all it was an amazing excursion with our friends and i would hands down do it over and over again if we lived closer.

From first contact, on the phone, I was greeted by Katrina with enthusiasm and professionalism. My friend and I decided to step outside our comfort zone to celebrate an important occasion. Katrina, knowing we were novices, made sure she set us up for success, provided adequate instructions and set us off. Again, with exuding enthusiasm that was contagious!! We enjoyed ourselves so much, she accommodated our request & extended our time on the water. She even checked in on us.I HIGHLY recommend Adventure Outdoor Paddling. I decided at the last minute to do this tour and I was super impressed. Katrina was responsive and I was able to book for their Sunday Paddle and Brunch. Upon arrival I was warmly welcomed. They explained how the tour would be and provided excellent equipment. I was fearful about going out because I had not paddled in a while but they took their time in guiding me and it went exceptional. I will be back for another tour very soon.

Dora Channel was the perfect short kayaking trip, the beautiful moss covered oaks and the waterway is just pretty. Call them during the week to make reservations, so important! Highly recommend Adenture Outdoor Paddle, we will use them again when we are back in Eustis Florida for sure!

Katrina and Jan recently led us on a fabulous paddle through the Dora Canal. It was a Chamber of Commerce type of day with blue skies, minimal water traffic and plenty of birdwatching. Our guides set a comfortable pace and shared a great deal of history and local knowledge. The kayaks were top notch with seating so comfortable that we could have lasted another hour or so. This is one trip you need to put at the top of your list of “Things to do while in Lake County.” The Dora Canal really is that beautiful and the folks from Adventure Outdoor Paddle will make sure your tour is memorable.

Katrina, aided by Travis, made our three-hour paddle with manatees a wonderful, memorable experience. My wife and I are mid-level kayakers and this was an easy pace and perfect length. We are very grateful for their COVID protection practices. Manatees...all around us!

Great experience, great customer service. I emailed the company the night before our tour because I hadn’t received the detailed email yet. The owner called me right back, even though it was after 7 PM! I had apparently booked it for the wrong day by mistake, but she was more than happy to change my booking and organize a tour just for my son and me! The Dora Canal was beautiful. Our tour guide Jan was very knowledgeable and gave us a Florida history and ecology tour along the way! I can’t wait to go again and bring more of my family!

This was such an awesome experience and We were really impressed with the company. We definitely recommend! They have many watercraft options, we chose kayaks. The location is great. Plenty of parking, eateries nearby and shops. I would love to return when everything is open again. The lake is huge. The scenery was so cute along the way to and through the canal. We saw lots of wildlife too. It was a fairly busy on the canal when we went but once we turned into another waterway it was just us. They saved the day for all of us, a big group, after driving 2.5hrs to a springs to find out it and all the surrounding ones were full and closed. Booking the reservation over the phone was easy, she was very informative and friendly. Contactless waiver signing which btw you get a copy of. Just small details like that make a difference.

When we arrived everything was ready and the staff were very helpful. The equipment was new and in great shape. The Dora canal was an excellent paddle.

Went out on the Dora canal run this morning which was fantastic. due to the inclement weather, Katrina offered to meet us with the kayaks at Summerall Park in lieu of Wooton Park. Great help so we didnt have to fight the whitecaps on Lake Dora. Equipment in great shape and a wonderful day on the canal, despite a little rain. Highly recommended

We had signed up for our kayak adventure with Katrina of Adventure Outdoor Paddle weeks before anyone knew Hurricane Irma would storm through Florida wiping out trees, homes, and electricity in many parts of the state just a few days before our scheduled trip. Our kayak tour couldnt have come at a more difficult time for Katrina! Although she didnt have electricity when we called for an update, she was still willing and eager to do whatever she could to share with us her love of paddling and the natural beauty of central Floridas rivers, springs and wildlife. And she certainly delivered far more than we expected! She did her research and chose to take us to an area that was less devastated, with a river that was safe to navigate. We passed some real-live gators (small ones!), turtles, an abundance of fishing birds, and a wide variety of fish, visible in the clear waters below our kayak. And the best part? We had the place to ourselves! Katrina was a terrific guide, sharing her lifelong knowledge and love of the area and its creatures and answering our questions as we paddled. The day was clear, sunny, and tropically humid--perfect for a kayak trip on one of central Floridas beautiful, unspoiled waterways. This outdoor paddle adventure with Katrina was certainly the highlight of our Florida experience!

This was my first kayak trip with Adventure Outdoor Paddle and I must say that I had a great time! I joined a group of about 15 others to kayak the Crystal River and see magnificent manatees up close and personal--so close that as I was sitting motionless in my kayak, a manatee swam directly under me! We saw dozens of others, including a mother and her baby. Business owner Katrina, assisted on this tour by her husband, Travis, offered a tour that fit both beginners and seasoned kayakers. They provided everything that was needed, including drinks and snacks, and helped novices get in and out of their kayaks. Katrina and Travis are very personable, and they make sure that everyone is comfortable and has a great experience. I look forward to future adventures with Adventure Outdoor Paddle...and I highly recommend them if youre looking for fun on the water!

The Paddle and BRU tour lived up to my expectations. Our guide did an excellent job helping my family learn how to paddle board while also giving us insights on the Dora Canal and the wildlife we encountered during our tour. The equipment was in excellent condition and sized properly for each member of my family on the tour.
