Nice clean building and well stocked. Horrible customer service (rude, short with me, tapping fingers as I set each item on the desk, loud sighs). If you donβt like your job, get a different one. I am also in customer service and would never be allowed to act like this with my customers. This employee scanned a few Amazon return items and only on one item said I needed a box and it would cost $18 for a boxβ¦none of the others needed a box though π€. I decided to take it back home and find a box and return to a different store which then couldnβt use my Amazon return code because this employee had already scanned it prior to telling me about the box so it was void at the other ups locationβ¦thus putting me back on the phone with Amazon for 30 more minutes to resolve.
Ive come here a handful of times to return Amazon packages and have had a great experience every time. The woman who works here is always friendly and professional. Excellent customer service!
The lady that waited on me was rude and abrupt. She would not help me with my Amazon return. I guess that is what happens when there is no competition and you have terrible people skills.
Jeanne was the same: friendly, efficient, and fast, as prior to COVID 19 (so her KINDNESS & customer service has NOT BE affected). I had to fax a 5 pg. document, and she helped me right away. While I was waiting, she handled packaging and shipping for 3 customers in record time. Quick service, in and out and I was on my way. KUDOS!!!
Jeannie is great! I went in there to take care of some paperwork and she accommodated me (and saved me a lot of time) when she didnt have to. She really went out of her way. She supports local artists which is always a plus in a small town.
Fantastic service. I go into this UPS store once a week. The General Manager is there ALL THE TIME providing excellent, high quality service.Great store run by a great human being.
I have been going into the UPS store in Taos for a number of years and have always been greeted with a smile and excellent service. I highly recommend the Taos Store.
I do a lot of Amazon returns at this store. Jeanne is friendly and helpful as well as patient. I appreciate her ability to remain friendly even during busy times, she is fantastic at multi-tasking!
Only because I had to mark a star! This is the rudest most hateful UPS Ive ever been to. The lady is so dang rude!!!No, this is not a lie. When you cant acknowledge your customers that are right in front. And act as their business means nothing, you have a problem. Clearly....I am not only one of you read the reviews!
The female clerk was rude and had absolutely no customer service skills.
Never been to a UPS store before that wont print their own shipping label
I have never been treated so poorly. The woman at the counter presented nothing but discrimination and intolerance.I went into your store with a return. The box was marked with the RMA number and on my tablet was the scan code for the return label. All of this was provided by the company expecting the return. I waited my turn and when I approached the center with the package, the woman refused to serve me. She told me that I would not be served unless I had a mask. I advised her I have a disability and pointed out the covering I held over my nose and mouth as requested by the sign on the window.I had already placed my package and tablet on the counter so she could scan the code, print the label and take the box. After I set it down, I backed up to the front door, about 15-20β away from the counter as a courtesy to her and so she could complete the transaction. Instead of taking care of the package, she stared at me as if I were Satan as swiftly walked to the back office. Again I was told to leave because she would not serve me at all.I asked her if someone could take care of the package outside. She said, No.β I asked if someone could come pick it up at my house. She told me she didnβt know. I asked how UPS was to get the package back to the originator. She said she didnβt know. I asked where another facility was where I could drop off the package. She said she didnβt know.By the time our conversation was to this point, she had placed herself behind the office door, out of my sight. I felt uneasy and nervous at what might happen due to the way she had glared at me and quickly moved behind the door. I had no idea what she might be going after. I wasnβt taking any chances, so I grabbed the package and started to leave She was still hiding. I regret dropping the f-bomb as I was leaving, but in my frustration, I saw no reason or excuse for her actions and it fell out.At the least, this woman is breaking a Federal Law.The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. The ADA gives civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. It guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government services, and telecommunications.Title III (Public Accommodations)Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability by Public Accommodations and in Commercial FacilitiesThis title prohibits private places of public accommodation from discriminating against individuals with disabilities. Examples of public accommodations include privately-owned, leased or operated facilities like hotels, restaurants, retail merchants, doctorβs offices, golf courses, private schools, day care centers, health clubs, sports stadiums, movie theaters, and so on. This title directs businesses to make reasonable modifications to their usual ways of doing things when serving people with disabilities. This title is regulated and enforced by the U.S. Department of Justice. No reasonable accommodations were made even though I asked for solutions. I was met with resistance, and great insensitivity. It is so sad that your company condones such discriminatory behavior. As such, I will be using a more conscientious and empathetic establishment for my future needs.A positive note to this story is that I called the originating company expecting the return, and they bent over backwards to arrange a UPS truck and driver to pick the package up at my house. It didnβt seem all that difficult nor did it take much time. This is the caliber of customer service I appreciate. Again, itβs a shame that your company does not do the same.
Ive been using The USP Store for 15 years and have never been disappointed. Happy to see they are a Covid-test drop off site!
I have always had an excellent experience at this store. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. I tried to send a package from the post office recently, and they were not sure about the size of the box needed and did not offer to help me. It was really frustrating. I then took the package to the UPS store, and it was boxed up in five minutes.
Went above and beyond. Returned my call and stayed open later to ensure I got my packages that day. Great service!
This store gets busy and in my experience the staff is friendly and prompt. They do not offer printing services for labels but they do enforce our statewide mandates and that makes for a safe experience. And my package return was quickly processed.
If I could give this place a lower review I would. 2+ day turn around on βinstant printingβ, inadequate technical knowledge of staff, and terrible customer service. When this location is unable to perform any basic and intrinsic function to its very mission of operation the staff provides a shrug and no options for solution.
Such a great store! The owner/manager is grace under pressure every time. I feel like she goes out of her way to do a terrific job of getting my packages where they need to go as quickly and safely as possible. I have been sending packages from this store for years now. Its a completely reliable business.
Always great service and flexible, especially when Im out of town and need my mail forwarded. Thanks Jeanne
My review is not just about covid-related experiences but goes back over several years. I decided to post a review because I have to send something via UPS and was not going back to this store, no matter what. The owner and I have both lived in Taos for several years and are not strangers to each other. No hello, how are you, anything that would indicate this is her own business and I am valued as a customer-never. Rude, indifferent, cannot be bothered attitude forced me to find another option-Taos Crating. It seems to me that if you are, as an owner, getting several reviews about rude behavior and attitude you might want to reconsider why instead of going on the defensive declaring absolute denial that you might be part of the problem?
Quick and courteous customer service, always. Owner Jeanne Timber is dedicated and conscientious.
TL;DR: a lot of people in the reviews are complaining for unfounded reasons and the experience was absolutely fine/as expected.I was a little nervous after reading the reviews, but decided to use this UPS for my mailing needs anyway. During my time at the store it was apparent that the employee is doing her best to tell customers of the prices, answer any questions, and comply with social distancing guidelines. When she expressed the rules of the stores to customers more than one became irate. Another could not grasp the concept of only 2 people in the store. So here is what you need to know: everyone is doing their best! Please be kind to the essential workers that are risking their health to make sure your packaging needs are met.She clearly told me about the $5 retrieval fee there was for printing. From there, you can decide if you want to use the service or not. There were signs outside and inside the store indicating to keep 6 feet apart from others, wear a mask, and that only 2 people were allowed in the store. None of this was communicated aggressively or rudely.
Was having problems shipping with FedEx so I came to the UPS Store.. The service was quick and customer service was friendly. I had no problems getting my stuff shipped out.
Absolutely above and beyond customer service. Jennie (store owner) and Mega were fabulous. I was returning an order from amazon, amazon sent me a return code they needed to scan but it wasnβt working. Jennie asked me to leave the package with her and she would call tech support.I got a call late in the afternoon saying that it was a faulty label from amazon. I called amazing and they gave me a new printable label that I emailed to them. For some reason it didnβt go through for over 30 minutes I tried several different ways, they kept checking the email and finally it went through. They printed it for me and completed everything by phone. I did not have to go back in, which helps me a lot with a 3 year old at home. They went above and beyond to help get this return processed for me. Exceptional customer service.I have used this store several times and have never been disappointed!
This is the nicest UPS store ever & the nicest staff Iβve ever worked with. The women working there are incredibly kind. Theyβve always been so wonderful with us.
If i could give less than 0 stars i would. The owner of this store should not be in a customer service businessI came in trying to ship two boxes and since i donβt have printer to print out labels she would only print out labels for me if i gave her $10! Yes, $10 to print out 2 pages. She didnβt care if i walked out and didnβt care to help me Why is she in this business. Horrific owner and customer service.Donβt bother with this store. Go to Taos Crating where they will stay open late for you for even 1 package! And wonβt rip you off
Cannot call. Not really into being there. βMailbox Fullβ
Totally impressed by the gals behind the counter. Wow. When you go in, be sure to look at the greeting cards by local artist(s). Very nice.
This is the worst store. Always rude and unhelpful. Always refuses to troubleshoot. A young man working there (not today) has been efficient and polite and explains things well.Older woman (younger than me I bet) is snippy, unpleasant and has never resolved an issue for me.
The lady she is really rude. She doesnt look happy working there i tell all my friends never go there she has terrible customer service
Worst experience Iβve had as of late! The woman behind the counter was rude to us every time we went in after paying their outrageous prices for a P.O. Box and service, and repeatedly lost our packages. Also the packages that We tracked and said was delivered was never in our box. Iβm convinced that the woman behind the counter weather manager or owner is stealing packages! Never to be trusted! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!
I sell items on ebay, they create labels for you in conjunction with UPSI typically use UPS because they will also print your label. Not anymore,According to the clerk ups cant print shipping labels from email anymoreWhy would I use your service if I have to go two places to accomplish what your in place to do.Waste of time
The staff wasvwas extremely rude, threatening my three year old daughter with being taken from me by cps because she didnt have a mask on.. I will not be doing any business at this location. Until the situation is resolved. Thank you good day
I regularly ship fairly large boxes (20lbs) with a liquid dog supplement in them. The owner is fast and efficient and my fragile boxes never seem to have a problem with delivery. The owner always seems friendly and is very efficient as I am in there often and witness her helping other customers as well. Highly recommend shipping from here over the other services in town.
I highly recommend! They are great for shipping and office services. I needed some laminating done while passing through town and they were very helpful, nice, and great to chat with. Definitely a great place for Taos shipping and business services!
Charged me a couple dollars for printing a UPS shipping label, and then charged me a couple more to tape up a box. Maybe its normal to be charged a total of $5 for shipping with UPS but this had not been my experience in the past at other UPS stores, would not recommend going there.
Excellent service..no doubt best in Taos...quality people who care..always voted the best in annual town survey...responsive to needs..tough business to keep people happy..they do a great job..
This is an absolutely wonderful shipping store offering a wide variety of services. Jeanne creates an efficient and pleasant environment for most all shipping needs. I highly recommend to everyone. Best in Taos by a mile for sure!
Unfortunately I have never had a positive experience with this store. The woman that works here or manages it has a sour demeanor that makes doing business unpleasant. My most recent stop was to buy a box to ship with another service. She couldnt let it go that I just wanted the box and badgered me with questions about my shipping habits and why I wanted to use another service. They didnt even have a box to really fit my needs properly since it appeared they only carried square boxes. U-Haul has better selection. The time before that, I arrived to find a note taped to the door that she had taken her dog to the vet and would be back at x time. I came back 30 minutes after said time and still no one there. Every other time, I was made to feel my business was bothersome and interrupting something more important
The staff is absolutely a bad representation of ups and ups franchises
Jeanne made my transition from Los Angeles (where your just a number) to Taos easy and stress free. Her knowledge and assistance with my packages made me feel as if they were just as important to her as they were to me. As a representative of UPS she is top notch! I just wanted to make sure that she gets Kudos she well deserves and that you as an employer be aware of her outstanding care and service she gives your customers!thx, Mary Short
I recently moved to Taos and have had a great experience at this location so far. I needed to look up Saturday hours and decided I would like to comment on the negative reviews below. I was actually here two days before Christmas and witnessed Jeanne get talked to a little rudely by a customer about an issue she has no control over: a UPS driver and packages that tracked as delivered (this is a retail location and a completely separate animal from the local delivery truck). The issue was resolved, as the customer was given the proper contact information to find out more about the potential delivery issue and missing packages. The trouble with online reviews is that often times someone has a negative experience concerning an issue with a parent company or the policy of the parent company governing a location, and unfortunately there isnt a distinction made about it as far as the online reviews go. It isnt really fair to the people caught in between. Obviously, thats part of customer service, but Ive had a great experience at this location so far and the manager of this retail location is absolutely not someone who would yell at a customer or really do anything but try to communicate to the customer what needs to be done to resolve an issue.
Very nice. Was late to open due to injured dog which i can understand
Terrible store. Should be put out of business. Firsthand observed store clerk lying to customers. Horrible representation of the UPS brand. New ownership needed or shut it down!!!!!!!!!!
Horrible service....the I guess owner is a mean salty old hag who would rather hold packages hoatage than do right by customers. Had a package delivered here by accident as a prior customer and the owner refused to give my pakages to me or send them back without paying her for three months of no use. I cant belive business are treating customers this way in this day and age and I am in the process of reporting my experience with this business to the better business bureau of New Mexcio. Stay away from this place...worst service in Taos!!!
WORST STORE EVER!!! I called before wasting my time coming here, but they donβt answer the phone they βtake messagesβ. Wasted my time coming here to receive the worst customer service EVER and left. The lady who works at this store is G R U M P Y. She tried to make my friend pay to package an Amazon return (it states clearly you donβt need to package Amazon returns-the UPS store is to package the return for FREE).
One of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had in Taos. A very nasty, rude woman who treated me like I was a pest who bothers her regularly (never been in there before) refused to scan my packages return labels, ORDERED me to read her the tiny numbers on the labels (Im 70 years old) and ordered me to remove the huge packages with Amazon return labels out of the UPS store after REFUSING to scan them. When I told her to HAVE A NICE LIFE, she followed me out to the parking lot and yelled at me. I will be writing to corporate about this nasty piece of work who has no business in the service industry. Stay out of this establishment if you value the rules of common courtesy.
Overcharges for printing services and unfriendly customer service.
If I could give this place no stars I would. They always deliver my packages late and put that they were delivered on the tracking ID when they arent and the employees lack customer service skills.
I use this store frequently for drop offs, and it is always an efficient and pleasant experience.
Terrible customer service..
Great, friendly, reliable service!
