Doug did an incredible job refurbishing the brass pedals and castors on my Yamaha GP1. We bought the piano second-hand and the previous owners dog must have urinated on the pedals/legs at some point. I didnt think they could be saved but Doug made them look absolutely brand new and saved us a few hundred bucks. A+++

I received the tuning service from Mr. Laing for the first time today. He spent the longest time for my piano, comparing to the technicians I had met in the past. My piano is not the most expensive kind, but it sounds much better now thanks to his service. I would recommend him to anyone who cares about his/her piano.

So as of YET I have not had him physically do anything for my piano. But he did take time out of his day on the phone to give me some tips and a better understanding on what I could and should not do myself to make my piano better. His prices seem fair and I will gladly try his service when the time comes that Im ready.

I have been playing the piano for 50+ years. In all that time, I never met a better tuner than Douglas Laing. He is a master and completely healed my piano, replacing several keys and general tuning. Douglas takes his time with your piano and is sooo fastidious and detail-oriented. My baby grand is 27 years old, and has never, ever sounded better. Thank you, Douglas, for your excellent workmanship. I couldnt be happier!

The best. My piano had sticky keys and a sluggish action and the first four (4) St. Pete piano techs lubricated the keys and action, and that was it. Each tech examined the keys, no tech examined the action. Each time the keys began sticking again. I consulted the internet. A prime cause of sticky keys is tight action pins. I discussed it with Opum Magnus over the phone. Doug suggested it might be the whippen pins. I took out the action for one key myself, and the whippen pin was way too tight. Doug repinned the piano and its fixed at last.
