I got an offer 10 days after the initial interview with Gabrielle. Very quick and easy process. They asked for references after I had already signed the offer with the employer, which I thought was weird, but other than that I had no issues.

Ive been getting consulting contracts through Vaco for about the last 15 years and they have ALWAYS been very professional with me from the very beginning: informing me of the contract requirements and principals involved before any interview, follow-up/feedback immediately after the interview, follow-up as the contract progresses (including both during the settling in period and as the contract approaches its end). Support/Admin staff has also been great. In fact, every Vaco staff member that I have worked with (and Ive worked with more than a few over the years) have been very friendly and helpful, wanting you to succeed. Vaco to me is like my work family. I cant say enough good things about Vaco!

I enjoyed my time with Vaco. My recruiter was wonderful, she contacted and met with me in July/August of 2018 with a specific opportunity. Even though that initial opportunity I was not interested in, she continued to work with me to find me the perfect opportunity. That opportunity came in December and that is the company I am permanent with now. Throughout the process she the was supportive and checked in. Many recruiters disappear once that specific opportunity they are working on is filled but not with Kalyn, she kept in contact and sent me multiple opportunities.

I applied for a position and was contacted about a completely different opening that I had not applied for, and had no interest in. The recruiter also asked me questions that made it clear she had not taken the time to perform more than a highly cursory review of my resume. They are insistent about having you come in to meet with them, even though they have no positions available that are compatible with your background. I get the impression that they are in the practice of advertising positions that do not exist, as a means of collecting resumes. Candidates conducting a serious search would be better served using another agency or locating their own direct hire opportunities.

From the time I walked into the Vaco Tampa office I felt like the recruiters there were there for me. I originally applied for a position in a field similar to but not exact to that of what I wanted to do. After being interviewed by several people- Laura Vella, Chris Houy, and Matt Hall- they realized they could get me the position I truly desired instead of gaining experience in a similar field. I went into Vaco on a Wednesday, got an interview on Thursday morning and started my new job the following Tuesday! I have gained so much experience from this temp job already and all of that is thanks to Vaco. I was ready to give up my job search until I found this staffing company. I have worked with 3 other staffing agencies in Tampa and no one else made me feel as confident in my abilities, educational background and employability as Vaco. Vaco was also the only company to offer me advice on my resume as well as things to do to make myself more employable for the specific position I wanted to find. Lauren at Vaco was one of the nicest and most communicative recruiters I had ever spoken to. She called me, and we met, for 3 positions. Although I didnt go to any of these positions, it was not their fault and I had found something else before she could contact me again. These guys are just your typical recruiting company. If they cant get you into a job the first time......you dont exist anymore for them.Their goal (as most recruiters) is not the job seekers well being....it is about making money the quick and easy way.

It wasnt a good experience for me. Most recruiters got me in front of prospective employers once or twice. Vaco was none although Im a pretty strong candidate. They post open positions on job boards but when they contact you they dont know anything about the position. When you meet its like meeting for the first time again. Seems like a major fishing expedition to gather resumes and theyre betting on volume rather than quality to land contracts. Fishy.

I had just recently moved from Michigan to Tampa and was looking to start my professional career as a software developer. I had floated my resume to several agencies before being actively contacted by Vaco. The challenge that the other recruiting agencies had a hard time overcoming was that I lacked enterprise experience. All I had to show on my resume was a personal project. To my surprise, Kalyn from Vaco reached out and knew exactly where I would fit in. After our first meeting she gave me a few quick pointers on my resume, and by the end of the evening I already had an interview lined up with a promising company. Before I went to the interview, Kalyn sent me a pamphlet regarding some interview tips, which I read top to bottom. I felt very prepared and totally impressed the employer. The company made me a job offer and I have been working there ever since. I now have a luxury apartment and an intellectually stimulating job. Ive never been happier!In sum, Vaco appeared more professional than the other recruiting agencies I had previously encountered. It requires a high level of talent on the recruiting side to determine what to do with a situation like mine (i.e. landing a guy an enterprise job with no enterprise experience). I would highly recommend working with Vaco!

Worst company. I was told I was interviewing for a contract to hire position and on the interview I asked the manager about it and he told me that it was only a 6 months contract. Recruiters will lie to you, they just want your money. Stay away!!

I was told by Lauren, that I would receive another position bc the prior job is a turn over position. (Why give someone a turnover position??) if thats so why did you avoid my phone calls, text and emails?! smh So unprofessional. Dont waste your time.

I interviewed with Vaco LLC, 3 different times with 3 different recruiters who reached out to me after I applied for positions from their website. They constantly have new recruiters and if you worked with a recruiter either they leave the company or were let go, who knows. I just know that I wasted my precious time & gas to drive over those 3 times for no employment assistance whatsoever nor any follow ups. Its like you were another sales goal they met for the day. And if you call them they do not know who you are because of course they always have new recruiters. I really do not understand what those recruiters are doing there. Do you actually have positions for any candidates? Candidates: Do not waste your time going to Vaco your time is not valued with them I assure you.

They failed on following up with there so called “employees” that are simply Temps. As soon as you are done in a contract they are very dismissive. Stay away...worst company ever!

While I was job hunting, Jeremy at Vaco found my resume online and reached out to me about a job opening that was a potential fit for my skills and experience. Unlike other recruiters who bombarded me with jobs that really didnt fit my experience or skills, Vaco matched me with a position that was perfect for me, and they asked me about what the ideal job was for me, including what kind of work environment I was looking for, and they only contacted me about job openings that were actually a good match for me. Jeremy and Kalyn went above and beyond to communicate with me and the employer, made sure I was prepared for the interviews by giving me a cheat sheet with info about the hiring company and the types of questions they might ask, and they met with me in person prior to interviewing with the company so that we could discuss the job, made sure it was a good fit for me, and really got to know me not only as a potential employee but also as a person. I ended up being offered the job, and Vaco handled all of the paperwork. They were very quick with responses. I couldnt ask for anything more. Im very happy that Vaco reached out to me and put me into a job that I love, at a salary above my expectations. By far the best recruitment firm Ive ever worked with. A+!!!
