The Comfort Authority replaced my air conditioner two weeks ago after a bad experience with another company. Everyone at The Comfort Authority was knowledgeable, friendly, seemed to enjoy their jobs and are happy with the company they work for. From the first contact with Derek to the final QC with Peter, they answered all my questions, showed up when they said they would, performed the install and cleaned up afterwords. I was not pressured by Derek for a sale and he worked with me to select the right solution which was installed the next day. A lot of respect for these guys working in the attic for 10 hours, in Florida, in the summer. Justin, Rae and Seth (and Peter and one other person were here for a bit), worked non stop during a long day. They were friendly and explained the process throughout the day. They even brought a portable AC unit for me to use in my home office the day of the install.Overall, this company seems to be efficient, knowledgeable, professional and has trained their team members well. This is a company with Integrity that will sell you a good product at a good price and the financing to go with it in my case. Their personnel is friendly and professional. What amazed me was their ability to source equipment item throughout the sales process so that I was negotiating on a real system that could be delivered and actually did deliver during the hottest days of the year. With all the supply-chain shortages going on, they accommodated my needs back to comfort in my home.Sometimes we dont really realize how important your HVAC service relationship is, until it goes out in the heat of summer. Youll be glad to call The Comfort Authority.

My AC started blowing warm air and I did my diligence to resolve the issue, check and change the filters and clean out the drain, but that was clearly not enough so I called The Comfort Authority based on the good reviews I had seen and they were very attentive, reached out several times and had a technician out first thing in the morning. Rick showed up and I explained the situation and he did his thing. Rick informed me of the situation and as I assumed I had a leak in the system. He injected dye and filled my system back up to get me ice cold air again. Fingers crossed for now, but in a couple of weeks someone will be coming back to check on my AC. For now Im very satisfied with the professionalism and courtesy shown by Rick and everyone I spoke to on the phone. You get what you pay for, Im glad I reached out to a new company.

We had CA install our AC a few years ago, and before installation of course they were all attentive, nice, on time with everything. Fast forward to us paying for installation and not even before they finish installing the problems start. We kept giving them chance after chance and theyve continuously proven to us we should have looked elsewhere for AC services. We even recently signed up for their Premium Plan because we have a baby, only for our AC to stop working on Saturday and them calling us Sunday to say it wasnt worth it for us to send techs on Sundays so its just Saturdays now, youll have to wait. What the hell! So its not weekend servicing anymore, what am I paying for? Nothing but a scam. The tech on the phone said we sent out letters, they knew what they were doing, with such a drastic update, why would you not call or email??? We never got a letter! Such BS. They knew people would cancel their little plan left and right, which of course we did. Absolutely sick of this company and one issue after another. If you know how to fix your own unit and have the time to do so constantly, then Comfort Authority might be worth it for you.

We had a new a/c unit installed a couple of weeks ago. I waited until the final inspection was complete before writing my review, just to be cautious of anything that may come up. It really wasnt necessary to wait because everything went so smoothly!We first met with Derek to discuss our options. He presented their catalogue of options and was not pushy at all. It was so simple to pick what fit into our budget and what features we prioritized.We chose to have the Halo installed and I am so excited that we added that option. It gives me piece of mind knowing that our air is much cleaner, especially with 3 dogs running around :)Installation took a full day but we had a place we could take our work to so we didnt mind. Our technician, Justin, and his assistant, Seth were kind, courteous, and professional. We felt comfortable leaving them alone in our home to do the work.We have been 100% happy with the entire process and are looking forward to the continuous relationship our maintenance plan and warranty gives us.10 out of 10, we recommend :)

Rae, Justin, and Seth did an excellent job with the installation of our new AC unit. They were respectful of our home by putting tarps down on our carpet, kept the doors shut as much as possible, and cleaned up every bit of any mess that was made. Not only did they have to endure the mid-August heat outside, but they had to spend a lot of time in our even hotter attic...and I didnt hear one single complaint about it. They are very nice young men that deserve some praise for the hard work they do, especially in these harsh weather conditions.Rick and Derek that came the two days prior to installation were great too. And the text messages from Beverly to give updates on arrival times was extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend The Comfort Authority!

We wanted a second opinion after getting bad news from our normal company. The Comfort Authority sent Chase out who did an amazing job. He was courteous, very informative, and offered to have us follow him around while performing a thorough diagnostic of all the components in our A/C. As he worked, he would explain what he saw and why it was important or telling. At the end, he reviewed all of his findings and had a list of options. Rick performed the initial service call and did a thorough assessment. After a long discussion with him and Derek, I opted to replace my entire system. What a wonderful experience for something that I thought would be nightmarish. Not only did someone PERSONALLY answer the phone after hours, the dispatcher called me back within minutes and set an appointment for the very next day. (That was unexpected for this time of year...I thought I would have to wait at least a few days/weeks.) They kept communication open with me every step of the way...called and texted with updates on the appointment, the technician, the time frame, the expected service, cost, etc. There were no surprises and every expectation was met. I was even given options that actually saved ME money. (That was a pleasant surprise!) The technician (Chase) was polite, professional, knowledgeable, respectful of my home/time/intelligence, and even made friends with my dogs. We are so glad we found The Comfort Authority. Their entire process was professional and they were great with communication and keeping us updated. We even got a photo and info on our tech before he arrived. Chris was our tech and he was amazing! Explained everything to us and gave us options. Overall, the fix was much cheaper than we anticipated. We had such a better experience with this company compared to the last AC company we hired to fix a problem, which Chris said they just fixed the symptom and not the problem. We could tell Chris was very knowledgeable and really knew his stuff. He was also very personable. Would highly recommend this company.

Its August and I love living in Florida, ... heat, humidity, and all! Of course that is, until the day when its 95 outside, feeling like 120, and my AC decides to just quit on a Saturday afternoon. I figured a quick call to the company that installed it, only a few months ago would get my system up and running in a couple of hours, ... not so, I was told no emergency technicians would be available until late Sunday, and that was the case with pretty much any AC service company, including Comfort Authority! The difference between TCA and the rest was that they care! After speaking to Beverly, i knew she wouldnt leave me baking in my house, shemade it happen, even though they were booked solid as well. Thank you! When David, the technician, got to my house, he had my system working again in no time. He knows his trade, he was professional, and he went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. Shout out to Chase and The Comfort Authority! Our very aged outside unit quit on us late yesterday and they were able to come out this morning to take care of the issue. Chase was super nice and very professional (and even put up with my dog’s disregard for anyone’s personal space and having to climb up in my scary attic space)! He was very thorough every step of the way from showing me what caused my system to fail all the way to explaining all of my options. After being a customer for over five years, I won’t be using Comfort Authority’s services again. The experience I had with them today caused me to completely lose trust in them.When my condensate pump started making loud noises, I knew it either needed repaired or replaced.I did my research in advance to see roughly how much parts and labor should cost. So I was very surprised when I was told it would cost $659, plus a $159 diagnosis fee to replace the pump.I told the technician that $818 to replace a condensate pump is an extremely high price. Later, he said that he called his boss and realized he made a mistake, and the true price was $286 plus the $159 diagnosis fee.I told him that when I called to schedule the appointment, Comfort Authority said that if I had the repair/replacement made, the diagnosis fee would be waived. He then told me he would waive the fee and I would only be charged $286.

Our a/c didn’t seem to be cooling properly. Chase, our technician, was quick to get to us, very friendly and thorough, was sweet to my cats, and got everything squared away for us. Great experience all around! Definitely recommend!

We were new to Florida so we had no idea who the reputable contractors were for AC maintenance. The reviews online included enough narrative that I decided to give them a try. Overall experience was extremely positive. I cant speak to pricing competitiveness, but you get what you pay for. Cant say enough  good things about our tech Rick. I had called Comfort Authority on Monday morning at 7a after spending a super hot night with no AC. Before 9a that same day, my technician Chase Prather arrived. Before 11a, my AC was working!!! Not only that, but Chase showed photos of my unit and exactly what was wrong with pictures of the reading results. He had my needed part in stock and was extremely respectful of my home. After researching reviews, including the Better Business Authority, I had my AC unit get a tune-up and repaired with The Comfort Authority, and I am SO impressed! When I called, Beverly (friendly and professional), promptly got me scheduled first thing in the morning the next day. She even called the next morning to let me know the ETA of the service technician. Chase showed up right on time and I can honestly say I can’t remember experiencing such exemplary customer service! Chase was considerate, professional, COVID-safe, tidy, and obviously expert and knowledgeable. He explained everything in advance (without “mansplaining”), so there were no surprises!The whole process was completely transparent. He tested everything, from the electrical components to coolant levels and even cleaned out the pile of rotten leaves in the outdoor unit. (The last AC person that came out said “That’s not my job!”) The float switch was broken on my unit, but Chase demonstrated how it was not working, so I could see what the problem was with my own eyes. Talk about building trust! The final bill was more than fair and affordable. I’ll definitely keep The Comfort Authority for the future!

My AC was underperforming, and they were able to make it out same day to have a look. Frank came out and was great. He was careful to explain what he was doing and why, and he ultimately found that my capacitor was nearly dead and recommended replacing it. He also pointed out a few things he said some folks might try to convince me required repair but that actually were fine, which inspires trust. Everything was professional, communication was good, and there were no high pressure sales tactics. Will be calling them next time we need AC work.

After having another AC company give me recommendations that didnt feel right for a 3 year old unit, The Comfort Authority came out to give me a free second opinion. Without knowing what the previous company told me, Rick did a deep dive into my AC unit from the outside to the inside. He said that everything is running as it should and let me know about a few minor enhancements that could be made to improve my units lifespan but werent necessary to take care of right away. The call to Comfort Authority was handled very thoroughly, they listened and understood the problem and promised to have the right technician handle the issues which could not be resolved by another company. Initially handled as an emergency call for service, I received a return call from Michael making sure the AC problem I was having was understood and would be addressed properly by a well experienced technician.Chase arrived to handle the call listening to every detail and explanation of what the issue was and how another company whos technician with 15 years experience, openly admitted the problem was beyond his expertise. Chase had the problem diagnosed in short order and resolved the problems within the next 30 minutes. Chase also offered a solution to keep the AC unit running smoothly without having fear of another setback any time soon (the AC system was barely 3 years old). Our AC system was more sophisticated than your basic AC system and with sophistication comes more complications and technical challenges. Chases experience and professionalism conquered the dilemma and he answered all our questions. We will definitely be using Comfort Authority for any further problems or issues in the future.

I was ready to go with an all new duct system. They recommended making some minor adjustments to the existing duct system, which cost thousands less and it seems to have made a huge difference. I then took advantage of their special service the unit. Chase came out for that service and he went above and beyond. He showed me before and after pictures of my unit. The before picture looked like it was an old unit. After he did his magic, it looked new! I was very surprised. Well worth it! I definitely recommend them!

I contacted The Comfort Authority to get a quote on fixing my very old unit, and to possibly get a quote for a new system as I had my suspicions it might finally be time to replace the one I had. The gentleman that came out to quote the repair was very kind and helpful. He contacted Derek to come give me quote on a new system, who was able to come out right away to speak with me. After deciding to replace the system, I wanted to get a couple of quotes. The Comfort Authority was the best price I could find, taking the warranties into account. They were able to schedule installation later the same week.Frank and Andre were the technicians that did the installation a couple of days later. They were right on time and were very respectful and professional. They took their time making sure the work was done right. I also work from home most days, so I appreciated that they were pretty quiet given that they were housing a giant machine around in my attic. Once the work was done they scheduled the inspector to come out early the next week and made sure they cleaned everything up. Aside from the job they did, they were also pleasant to be around and very respectful. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a few system.

Billy came out to make sure our AC units were working properly. He did a thorough check and made suggestions for optimal function. He ran into an issue while installing a thermostat however was very quick at fixing the problem.

I had The Comfort Authority install my complete system as well as my ductwork. They had done a great job. However, early this year my ac system just wasn’t producing the ac it should. The Comfort Authority sent one of their techs out and diagnosed the problem. I had to get a new compressor and they ordered, installed, and made sure it worked which it did. I will say this about this company, they make sure that your ac is working and they get to the bottom of all issues. Fully recommended.

We are really pleased with our experience with The Comfort Authority and our service technician, Rick Haven. Our A/C stopped working late yesterday afternoon and The Comfort Authority was able to get a technician out first thing this morning.Rick quickly diagnosed the problem, and had the replacement part in stock and brought to the house. While he was waiting for the blower motor part to be delivered, he cleaned the blower wheel. He had cool air blowing and our service call complete within 2 hours. Price was more than reasonable and we are so pleased to be the newest members of their Comfort Plan, which offers us priority scheduling, a 10% discount on parts, no emergency service fees, and no diagnostic fees. Positive experience from start to finish. Will definitely use them in the future.

We needed to have our unit checked after the house wasn’t cooling as well as needed. The company replied the next morning to my email submission and had a specialist Billy come by in the next couple hours.Billy did a full thorough inspection and provided maintenance beyond expectations. He broke down everything and provided me his contact info should I have any further questions.The text and email confirmations every step of the way we’re a welcome feature. I will stick with The Comfort Authority for any future needs.

There was a bit of initial confusion on my first annual maintenence appointment, but Phillip the service manager was professional and more than made up for it.
