As first time home buyers, my husband and I were not fully prepared for what we were walking in to with this current market. My husband and I can not recommend Joe Manausa Real Estate enough. We have used them to purchase and sell a home and most recently purchase our current home. Evas final walk through with me was clear on what needed attention for my home sale. My home was under contract within a few weeks, and sold within a month. Contract modifications were explained and finalized in a few days. The closing went smoothly, and details were communicated freely. Lastly, I was able to move into a mother-in-law suite with my daughter and son-in-law.

My husband and I currently under contract for a home that is set to close Sept 3rd. A week ago (after paying for inspections, deposits, packing our entire home etc,) we learned that the seller had a lien on her home. Typically the seller uses proceeds from the deal to pay the lien. We have learned that there are more than enough proceeds to do this but our seller has decided she doesn’t wish to pay the lien and is refusing to pay her lien therefore refusing to sell the property. She is in breech of contract because we are prepared to close, ready to close and have not terminated the contract.What is completely shocking to me is that the sellers realtor is a very well known realtor in town and has gained the business of so many local residents. (Joe Manausa) The realtor and the company has went completely silent refusing to answer any of our calls, emails or even a letter from our attorney threatening to sue. We now have to pay MORE and put in more time so that the seller is forced to close. Thank goodness we are in a position that allows us to do so!I want the public to know how we are being treated. I want them to be aware of how careful you should be when buying a home but more importantly DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

I worked with Jason Madsen as my realtor as a first time home-buyer here in Tallahassee. Jason time and time again would over-promise and under deliver. I had really hoped that a real estate company with almost 5 stars would only hire the best and brightest, that kept their promises to customers.As a first time home buyer, I had to settle on a lot of things with this home purchase. He didnt try very hard to negotiate or push for the non-negotiable items I listed to be fixed and provided documentation for. And after his inability to get sod included in our contract he gave me his word that regardless of the sellers cooperation he would fulfill this promise to me, and provide me a full yard of grass. I asked to have it in writing and he told me over text message not to worry and he would handle it.Its now been 5 months since closing and hes been nothing but rude over text with me, stating that there is nothing more to be done on his end, leaving me with a bare backyard and dirt patches throughout my front yard. Ive talked to people in the manausa office trying to see if theres anything that they could do but they cant do much besides ask him to make this right. Its been two months since I talked to the office manager and still no word from Jason.
