Came in Friday, 10/1, to make an appointment for the following day. Was told that they couldnt fit me in. I completely understood. As I was about to walk out, a gentleman with an appointment book advised the guy at the desk that I could come in today, 10/2. I arrived at my appointment and they began with my gel pedicure. My deluxe pedicure was done by an older woman, and she did an amazing job. Time for my dip service...a guy asks did I want a cut down. I replied, yes. He drilled one of my nails down and asked if the length was ok. I replied yes. He continued to cut my nails down when all of a sudden, he picked up an angled nail trimmer and snipped a bit of the old dip powder. He then used an artificial nail to pop the dip off my nails, essentially ripping/tearing my nails. I stopped him because thats not what I asked him to do. There was a woman being serviced next to me (City of Tallahassee shirt) who said that maybe he didnt understand me. Umm, what?! He showed me the cut down length and proceeded to tear my nails down. She called for Amy, who is the manager, but for what? I figured there was no resolve, so I asked him to finish removing the dip. I told them that Id pay for the pedicure and the dip removal because I didnt want to have any issues with the staff. $70 later, my nails look like this (middle finger is the desired length)...How my nails were going to magically be evened to that length is beyond me.Maybe their specialty is natural nails?! AVOID them at all costs if you like dip service!!!

Me and my friend came here tonight. Got a delux pedicure… started same time. The girl who did mine. Didn’t cut the nails. Do the bottom of my feet, wrap my legs in hot towels. Same time. Mine finished 15 Minutes before my friend…. I was uncomfortable the whole time… couldn’t relax. Lady was speaking Chinese with the others about us. Not like I care. But than charger full price for a half behind pedicure! i come here a lot and will not come back again. Ever again. Horrible. Lady is the worst pedicure I ever got!!!

This was the best pedicure Ive ever gotten. They took their time with the massage it seemed to last longer then any other Ive gotten. Would definitely recommend going here! I needed this and they delivered 100%

Nail salon that literally carries its name. Located in the midst of a busy plaza full of restaurants and stores, you find this secluded, quaint but relaxing spot. Everything from the equipment, spa products, stations and supplies, was neat and orderly and spaced perfectly for staff and client movement around the salon. Special mention: All clients and staff were required to wear a mask at all times while indoors. The owner and staff utilized Plexiglas at the nail manicure stations, the pedicure stations wrapped in disposable bags for the foot basins and consistent sanitation and cleaning was observed throughout the store. Social distancing was practiced as best as possible due to the small size of the salon, however, there were no more than 7 people together (3 customers, 3 staff members and the owner/manager), allowed inside because the owner was scheduling call-in appointments only. I chose this location, because most larger salons were over crowded, had lines outside the door and staff that probably were under pressure and time constraints, which in my opinion, defeats the purpose of visiting the nail salon. You go for a mini mental vacation, relaxation, a massage, to be pampered and to unwind. Not to feel rushed in an already anxiety inducing time. The staff at Nail Nook were friendly, relaxed, took their time and the ambiance was so peaceful, I found myself dozing off. First time visiting Nail Nook but definitely not my last.

I went with a friend to get my nails done and I made an appointment for her and I. They never did her nails because people were out sick but didn’t tell us until thirty minutes into my nails being done. She say there for 1 hour while I got my nails done. My acrylic nails are bumpy and he didn’t even cut my cuticles. I will never be going back.

Stopped into Nail Nook to get a gel mani pedi on a Saturday. People were polite. Facility was clean. Yet my gel polish on my hands did not even last one week. When I called to discuss a refund, only a repair was offered. I live in Ocala and drove up to vote early and run errands. I will not be driving 2 1/2 hours to have their nail tech fix my nails when the job should have been done properly the first time. The gel polish should NOT have come off after 6 days. Poor service and unwillingness to refund my money on a botched gel mani have led to this 2 star review.

Just left and they were fantastic! I love the decor inside very clean and nice. I went with a friend for her birthday and Kim did her nails. Kim was so amazing and did her nails perfectly! The techs there were very nice and know what theyre doing! We love our nails so much! Definitely recommend!

The wait was much longer than they said it would be. Granted, it was a busy Sunday morning, but I would have preferred if they told us a more accurate estimate than 10 minutes when it took them 30. The pedicure water was cold. My tech cut my toe and left a scab and they had a very young girl do my daughter’s pedicure. It was not a pleasant experience.

My first pedicure today at the Nail Nook. I was very happy and relax with the service. The young lady took her time and never seem to be in a hurry. I told her the water was barely warm but she never changed that. So not English speaking. I will definitely go back but during a week day not weekend so I can have plenty time.❤️

Micheal is amazing! He is so attentive and truly pays close attention to what he is doing. All staff members are so sweet and always doing the best! I have never left upset! I have been going to Nail Nook for about 2 years and I absolutely love it. Whenever I get my nails done, they look beautiful and last. My daughter loves to get her nails polished as well, and they are always sweet to her. Mike usually does my nails, and he is AMAZING!!

I went to Micheal way before he opened his own nail shop and he is amazing! His staff is wonderful as well!! Great atmosphere and wonderful people. I recommend Micheal to anyone who wants their nails done. He doesnt hurt you hes very gentle and my nails last so much longer than any other place Ive ever gotten them done before.

This is my go-to salon in Tallahassee. The establishment is sparkling clean and the service is exceptional. I generally go in every couple of weeks to get my eyebrows waxed and my nails done with gel. Unlike many other salons in Tallahassee, these ladies TAKE THEIR TIME waxing/plucking your eyebrows and are never in a rush (& if they are, they dont act like it.) Their gel manicures always turn out beautifully. I would recommend Nail Nook to anyone who needs a little pampering!

Wow! Ive been here before and its always been a good experience. Tonight I had a pedicure with Tina and it was the best pedicure Ive ever had. This salon is clean, well-staffed, reasonably priced, and always excellent service.

Best nail salon Ive ever used; good prices, friendly, not rushed, and most importantly, sanitary. They really do autoclave the instruments after each use. Their work is good quality, too. Ive always been told if anything is not right, tell us; well fix it.

I came in to get a full set done. I had a picture and the girl was very helpful in helping me match the colors however the man that did my nails was rude and disrespectful. He would jerk my hands if I wasn’t putting them the way he wanted. Then he would respond by shaking his head. I have never had my nails done by someone so rude. I will never go back to the salon. It was absolutely unacceptable. It was so bad after he finished painting my nails I refuse to let Him do the design because I just didn’t want to put up with him anymore. There are so many other nail salons in Tallahassee that are much better than this one customer service wise.

This place is the best! Super clean, great staff members, great colors, and overall great atmosphere. Doesnt have that nail salon smell! Every tech is great.

Fine, until there’s a complaint against them! The person during my feet was very rude and unresponsive, would not communicate with me about my own feet!!!Last straw was was she placed my feet down very aggressively was I asked a question about not taking the polish off toe nails completely...Summons manager over, he response, “ok, you can leave, you don’t wanna pay,” Wait what??? As I’m leaving, and don’t come back, really!!! #Killearnarea, meanwhile, the 99% of whites are treated with care!

The do a good job but take forever to do everything done!!!! If you plan to go do not make any important plans for the day and go early.

The staff is amazingly friendly; they ask through out the pedicure if the water is ok, if the massage is too hard, etc. The deluxe pedicure worth every penny of $36. They give you a long leg and foot massage that is better than any fancy spa I have ever been to. Also the tools are sterilized as you see them take them out of a bag. I will not go anywhere else in Tallahassee for a pedicure!

Best mani-pedi Ive ever had!

THEY MADE ME BLEED MY OWN BLOOD!Wooooow. I hope I get a chance to have another mani pedi somewhere else before I give birth in December. I say this only because when you’re pregnant, the only reason you want a pedicure is to alleviate pain and relax... this visit accomplished none of those goals. From the jump I got the most inexperienced tech in the place. First cut in on the toenail he went into skin and my toe was bleeding. This has never happened to me at any salon but I understand that things happen. Moving on. He didn’t file my nails down or shape them correctly. My nails on my toes and hands are all uneven. When he pulled out the towel I swear there was someone else’s blood on it. Cuticles remain on my toes. Most painful pedicure ever but thank god it’s over.Then the manicure. Holy hell why do I still have the same nail tech? I want to run to the door, and I should have. He GLOBBED on the polish, it’s like rolling hills. He was impatient with the light and had to redo my thumb three times. Again, the shaping and filing was done poorly. He got all the cuticles without gouging me so I counted my blessings. When he got to the lotion part of the manicure he rubbed my hand for less than five seconds and left tons of lotion all over my hands without rubbing it in.Paid full price for the most uncomfortable mani pedi in my life. I will add a star if this dump of polish on my hands lasts two weeks but will leave my review as is if it comes off like I predict it will.

My daughter had a manicure done last week with a full set of acrylics. Less than a week later they look terrible and she needs to go in and to have them filled. We will not be returning to this establishment. I would give zero stars of possible.

First time here for pedi, won’t go again. To start with, water was lukewarm, which I mentioned to tech, but no response. Tech slipped with cuticle trimmer, just laughed. Not sure why, but pedi was still not dry 4 hours after leaving salon, have never had that happen before. Avoid this salon, not great customer service.
