They are NOT a professional lawn care company but just connect customers to people who do the work. So they’re just a platform not a real lawn care company. If they can’t find workers to do the job for whatever reasons, they just cancel and you will have to find someone can do the job. This is a ridiculous business model working very unprofessional!

Terrible service they cancel all the time. They are not responsive. More of cash grav. They cancel then when they do come they charge a long grass fee which is double the cost. Cancel this service dont use them. Its a cash grab. They just want you money.

LawnStarter is a great service! I’m a teacher and I have a busy after work schedule as well. I don’t always have the time to mow and when I do, I don’t want to! Thank you LawnStarter.

I would NOT recommend this service. At first it was great, Then the crew rescheduled me twice and canceled my service. Another crew picked up the service and canceled. Another crew picked up the service and has not shown up and does not respond to messages. So frustrated because my lawn is knee tall and I have no idea if or when someone will be out to mow. There is no way to reach the crew by phone and lawnstarter themselves takes way too long to respond to service issues if they respond at all. The last thing I want to do on my day off is chase a service I pay for so today I will look for a different service instead.

The app is super awesome and easy to use. Always lets me know before Tyrone comes to cut my lawn. He always does an amazing job and never misses a spot. Also, he always makes sure to check that our gate is closed and locked, which makes life so much easier with dogs.

I scheduled service and everyday the lawn crew would reschedule. I went from being scheduled for service on a Monday to it being pushed to a Tuesday, then Wed, then Thursday... then a whole month later! I do not recommend this service.

Scheduled service on the 26th of June. Was given several dates, none of which were given service. Called support and was never able to reach anyone. Extremely unprofessional.

It is great platform to find reliable personnel to cut your grass. You don’t have to call anyone or write a check. Simply, go the app, establish your profile, press the button, select the date of service, and your grass will be cut, no questions asked. You have the option to leave a review. If you are not happy with the service, you can select another provider. It is a little higher than hiring a local lawn guy, but you pay for the convenience. You can start and stop services any time too. I had a local guy cut my grass, but guys from LawnStarter do a better quality and neater job because they can get reviewed every time. They cut the grass shorter and a lot faster and neater. And I like the convenience of the payment method.

One big scam!!! after first crew not showing up, the next week a different crew did show up and instead of mowing the yard for the quoted amount Which was $19 they upped the price to $182.50...The $19 was their price not mine.Dont waste your time!!!

First, the LawnStarter service is a game-changer with online and app communications and set-up. Provides a way for me to control exactly what I want done when and even be able to make edits and/or approve work done after given quotes. Second, Donnie came out on time and communicated with me first to make sure he was doing what I wanted and then proceeded to do a meticulous job on my yard, weeds, and flower beds. Very pleased!

Great idea for lawn care. I love that you can schedule everything on the app as well as get quotes for new services! Its a little more expensive than your local guy that might run through neighborhoods but I feel is worth it in the convince.

Called LawnStarter because my yard was pretty neglected by me of late. They have been responsive, communicate when they are coming and when they are done. I like the fact that they actually ask how things look as well. My yard is looking so much better after only a few weeks. I would definitely recommend the company especially to people that want a nice yard and want people they can trust to do the work when scheduled.

Decent service for some time...then all of a sudden, no lawn care reminders/emails, locked out of account, no response for account support. Website needs work! App need works!

Jose does a wonderful job on my lawn. Ill definitely continue to use them and have them tackle any landscaping I need in the future. They are prompt and communicate well when there are any variances or delays in my service. Thank you, Jose, for saving me time and frustration on my lawn. It keeps my grass under control and gives my son a safe yard in which to play.Update: Right after I posted this review, my lawn care crew quit. Instead of being honest with me about it, lawnstarter used the excuse that they were unable to access my property. This is bs. There are no gates or fences at my property. I am very upset about the deception from this company. As you can see above, I was extremely satisfied with my service until this incident. When I contacted customer service, they said they would put me on a priority list. That was two weeks ago. The sad part is that if they had been honest, I would have understood.

Donnie called me before he came out. I told him my lawn was a jungle, it hasnt been cut in months. He tackled it head on and did a fabulous job. He even trimmed up my azalea bushes. I would recommend him 100%.

My previous lawn guy had retired and I had a hard time finding another reasonable and reliable service. Then I came across Lawnstarter online and decided to try them. I love that I can schedule and pay for my service online, and that I can get quotes for additional services. If Im not happy with the work, I just post a review and theyll send out a different guy. Plus, I was offered a discount of $20 for my first service, which I ended up getting for free after referring them to friends and family. They did a fantastic job on my yard when promised and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

I love lawnstarter. I got to work, get home, grass is cut nicely, and they even trim the tree in our yard when it gets too long. If I am home, sometimes all I need to do is move my car so they can get the edges of the drive way. Overall I am very pleased with the service.

The crew showed up timely and mowed, weed eated a large area. They were thorough even being careful around certain plants. Im considering continuing the service for more inclusive work.

I was very pleased with the LawnStarter Lawn Care services that included mowing, trimming, and cleaning up. The centipede grass was mowed to the perfect height and there were no tall shoots that sometimes just get bent over but not cut. The app used by them keeps me informed of when they will perform the work and always asks if additional work is requested. The most recent service I responded with a request they trim closer to the neighbors fence. Real time the work was done.I will be evaluating their fertilizer and weed control service in the near future.

My crew is the best.They go above and beyond to do a good job on mowing and also additional services such as leaf removal.I highly recommend.

I just called the company to inquire about the sod in my backyard and the lady who answered the phone told me that they have to come out and mow the grass first and then they can give me an estimate...lol. I told her we don’t have any grass in our backyard to be mowed...it is all dirt. She replied:” Then I don’t think we will be a good fit for you”. Definitely will not recommend this company to anybody.

Horrible experience and they didnt even provide 1 service. I wanted them to provide a lawn service for 2 duplex with the same parking lot, but since they had 2 different address (right next door to each other)they could not make them one account. Their comment was if we are not a good fit, we are not a good fit. Dont waste your time as I did, call ANYONE ELSE and make them a good fit! LawnStarter IS NOT A GOOD FIT!!! Dont give LawnStarter a second look, just look elsewhere!!! You will be glad you did!!!

I found lawnstarters online. I went through the process to get a quote. Talk with a gentleman through text message. They told me they could do my first cut for $19.00. So I went to set up my appointment. Text with a guy named Steve who said he would call me with scheduling a appt and all that. I never heard from him. So, I called them spoke with a woman to set up my appointment, then she tells me they cant mow my grass because its a little over a acre of land. I was not pleased. Dont understand why one person was telling me they could mow my yard, then another telling me they couldnt. Seems like they dont have it together here. I guess I will just have to go somewhere else. They should have honored what they first told me. You dont get loyal customers this way.

Never use this company for your lawn service. From multiple no shows to getting charged for lawn service that never even showed up. You are better off using a different service or mowing the lawn yourself. Extremely disappointed with this entire company. The only redeeming quality is the customer support staff is extremely nice.
