Bob’s Auto repair and Collision got me back on the road quickly and completely satisfied. They displayed excellent customer service, quality and professionalism. Melissa was outstanding over the phone and in person. Daniel did an amazing job with paint and restoration! My front end was Color matched to perfection after an unfortunate collision, but my truck now looks like it did the day it rolled off of the factory line. I would highly recommend Bob’s for any and all auto maintenance or repairs!

I indicated on the drop off sheet to give me an oil change when I had a tune up/brakes done and didnt get one. Their communication wasnt the best because I was informed my car would be ready the same day and ended up calling about 15 minutes to closing to get an update and they needed an additional day. Overall Im glad my car was fixed but disappointed that I didnt get all the services requested.

After having poor customer service experience at a mom and pop mechanic shop around the corner, Bobs Auto Repair was a fresh breathe of air. They were professional and clean establishment with friendly staff.

I have been here a few times and have always had a pleasant experience with this place each and every time. Very honest, timely and nice people. This is definitely my go to place when something is up with my vehicle.

I cannot say enough good about this family owned business!! From calling them and getting prompt answers, to smiling faces walking in the door, to such a CLEAN organized facility, to such great work done on my car... an all around great business! I had my car painted from light blue to all white and you can’t tell it was ever blue. Every little detail- perfect!! Everyone you encounter in the office is so friendly and kind and I was so pleased with every single thing.

Four times i returned the vehicle to have the AC fixed. Finally took it to dealership and they say it was never worked on and have already fixed problem. DO NOT TAKE ANY VEHICLE TO BOBS AUTO. THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME.

Every time I took my car to Bobs they insisted I needed to repair more than what was truly needed. They like to exaggerate every situation and incite fear in their customers. Took my car here because it would not turn on. Told me that I needed a whole new engine that would cost me about $3k. Decided to get a second opinion and turns out that my car did not need a new engine and the simple repair would only cost me ~$50. Not only that, but Im pretty sure they only made things worse by flooding my engine with fuel. I do not trust Bobs and will not be going back.

Awesome people. Great shop. 2 times there, on the third for another vehicle. Went over and beyond what they were paid to do. Paid cash, took 37.70 off my bill. And fixed my windows for free. Will be return customer. I recommend.

I was recommended to take my vehicle here. While my vehicle was here waiting to be serviced (over 2 weeks) the window was broken and my vehicle was broken into. My vehicle was the only targeted vehicle, oh and the business was unknowingly closed this particular day. So I had to discover that my vehicle was vandalized from this device that I have attached to my vehicle. I know and understand that my vehicle had to get engine work done, so I knew it was going to be a while. But I received a call around 7:45 the night before my vehicle was scheduled to be ready, stating that it was not going to be ready. I was not informed of when my vehicle would actually be ready, so I went to the shop on a random day, and it still wasnt ready. Ill admit, I was angry and upset and started fussing. Then when my vehicle was finally ready, the engine light was still on and making a ticking sound. I took it back to there. The next day, still the same. So I took it back a third time and I havent had a issue so far. But its only been 2-3 days since then.

I dont usually write reviews but in this case a positive review was well earned. I brought in my vehicle, a wheelchair converted van at that, on Monday and had it back by Friday. I brought it in with major scratching and a large indentation in the front fender and major scratching on the side view mirror. By the time they finished fixing it, it looked good as new. Throughout the whole process, they were very professional and friendly and kept me up to date every step of the way. Misty the owner, is a sweetheart and will do her best to make sure you walk away happy. They were also the most cost efficient place in town. Living in Tallahassee for 4+ years, I can attest to the high cost of auto repairs. Bobs with the best price in town. I would highly recommend Bobs for collision repair.

Absolutely the best auto repair place anywhere near campus. I have an old miserable car that is constantly breaking down, and over the past 10 or so years have been to almost every auto shop in Tallahassee. I can say without a doubt, Bobs is by far the best one and the one I keep coming back to. Not once have they attempted to swindle me, and the mechanics there are the ones I know I can trust. There are a lot of car repair places in town, so take it from someone that has been to almost all of them; Bobs is the best.

Honest, friendly, talented mechanics and customer service. Ive been a devoted customer of Bobs Auto for years. Theyve fixed my mechanical problems as well as cosmetic damage. This is my one-stop shop for maintenance, repairs and knowledgeable advice. Id rate them 6 stars if I could!!

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO OFFENDED IN MY LIFE!The owner is very unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills. After 5 hours of waiting for someone to look at my car, I politely asked that my key be returned and commented that a reputable business would have at least looked at my car after 5 hours. When I went to get my key back, she proceeded to verbally attack me in front of other customers while holding my key hostage. I asked that my key be returned and she continued her rant with I used to be a stock broker (dont know the relevance of this) and that I shouldnt expect any difference in service at another dealership. Apparently 5 hours is the Tallahassee Standard. The conversation proceeded to her questioning my career choices and questioning the kind of physician I will be in the future. Im in med school so this stung a little. I kept it classy and was able to avoid the GHETTO SHOWDOWN she was obviously trying to lure me into. The next day (today) I took my car to Toyota and had a diagnosis and estimate within an hour and a half.NEVER GOING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! I would rather pay extra than have to deal with Misty the Diva.

I have mixed feeling over Bobs auto Repair and collision center. The staff have seemed to be friendly and the techs I have spoken to seem to actually have knowledge about vehicles instead of just trusting the computer reads. I love the fact they will check over your car for no cost. This is a big deal and shows honesty. You can compare what they have said to others. There prices might not be the best but I love how the staff treat you and seem to know what they are talking about. I will update my review again after our next visit. We did use a Groupon for an oil change which was a great value but it took two hours. If it was not for that I would have given 5 stars. All I was told was sorry. Will be back :)

I was towed to Bobs Auto around 5:30 PM on a Thursday, they closed at 6. Didnt look good for me. Upon my arrival I asked what the odds of getting my car fixed that night and they told me unfortunately it was Zero. Pretty bummed cause I was only in Tallahassee for business and lived 3 hours away in Jacksonville. But Misty and her guys were able to quickly diagnose my issue, as a dead alternator, get the part and they even stayed a little late to fix the issue so I could get home that night. Great service and very helpful. Plus a good warranty on the part.

This is now my favorite repair shop in Tallahassee! The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and my overall experience was great! I was quoted for a passenger side mirror replacement for $825 by Capital EuroCar in Tallahassee. After taking my car to Bobs, the cost came out to $175 for the same exact repair. A $650 dollar difference just to get a repair done through my dealership? Talk about a scam. The staff even applies a student discount to help you get the best deal. Thank you Bobs!

Most embarrassing 15 min drive of my life after dragging my aluminum heat shield under my car the whole way there, but worth it. They removed it for free! The staff was warm and welcoming would have gladly paid if they had asked!

Went here two years ago to get the power steering lines replaced on my mini. They charged me $1000, with my 15% discount from my job at the time. It took them about a week to fix it. Not even three minutes away from the lot, my car started overheating, so I brought it back. Thirty minutes later, a guy comes out and says there “were bubbles in the coolant.” ?? Pretty sure they just forgot to replace the coolant after they were done working on my car and were too embarrassed to fess up. Several days later, my power steering locked up again, so I had to take it back. This happened TWO MORE TIMES before the issue was resolved. At the time, I was working two jobs: one as a delivery driver, and another one that was fifteen minutes away. Without a car, I was unable to work at either of my jobs, and had to wait about three weeks for my car to get fully repaired for an issue that should have been solved the first time I brought it in. Misty, the lady at the register, was also pretty unpleasant to deal with. TLDR; expensive work that wasn’t done right the first three times. If you want to waste your time and money, Bob’s is the place.

I am and will continue to be a repeat customer. Family-owned and run, Bobs is a solid, honest and caring business. Good people, great service, and you cant beat their years of experience, knowledge and very fair pricing. No cost diagnosis is greatly appreciated! Please keep it up!

I am so thankful that I found Bob’s Collision. They were great! Fixed a very large dent in my Forester door like new, and all at less than half the estimate I received from several other Tallahassee shops. They (especially Misty) were professional and super courteous from the minute I walked in the door. My car, which they washed, looked shiny and new when I picked it up. I couldn’t have been more pleased.

I came in for a brake change after getting my oil changed because the technicians told me i needed new brakes. Then they told me i didn’t actually need any new ones yet, these people are so amazing because they were honest and very friendly. They could’ve just changed my brakes when i didn’t even need it and i appreciate that.

Took my car in expecting the worst and the usual huge price markups found at seemingly every auto repair place. Much to my surprise I received a very friendly phone call from a lady named Misty who explained in full detail what was wrong with my vehicle. I thought to myself, well at least the customer service is great, but was just waiting for her to lay a huge bill on me to fix the issues.I was shocked when she told me the price and it was shock in a very good way. I was left with the feeling that I was receiving a very fair price and thats something you can rarely say when dealing with an automotive shop.I picked my vehicle up later that day and it was working like a charm again and even better there were no surprise fees or repairs needed that always seem to pop up after the fact.I very rarely if ever leave reviews and such, but felt compelled in this case. Its just such a rarity nowadays to find a place that comes across as trustworthy and reputable.If you are looking for a go to automotive repair shop and dont know where to start amongst the myriad of choices online, I highly recommend Bobs Auto. At the very least you can have the piece of mind knowing you arent going to get ripped off and they will give it to you straight.

Tried to charge me $950 for a job that I got done for about $150 somewhere else.Follow up: the point was that that the $150 repair was all I needed, not the $950 repair you suggested. Thats what matters here. You did not speak to me about how I really needed the $150 repair when you were recommending that I spend $950. That did not happen.

On a trip to Florida I hit a pot hole and damaged my wheal bearings. This place looked it over and produced a long list of problems that MUST be replaced in order to be safe to drive. I asked about the price of just doing the wheel hub, and they quoted me 3 times the average price. I went elsewhere. Now the i.portant thing is, that list they gave me? None of it was needed, and most of the parts they said needed to be replaced, were brand new and in perfect condition. They saw I was from out of town and thought theyd take advantage of me. Pass this place by unless you feel like costing your insurance a lot of money

Years ago I brought my 350z in for a belt change. When the mechanic returned the car up front after hours of waiting, I walked outside to inspect before paying. Before I reached my vehicle two guys that couldnt have been older than 20 hopped in and disappeared for about 1 hour. When the car returned, only the driver came back. They put over 20 miles on my car. Explanation? Ran an errand. She seriously tried to just brush off a joyride. Ive never been so mad in my entire life. I dont know if the woman who is regularly complained about on here still works at Bobs or not, but either way word has spread that they are still shady in their dealings. Please avoid this place. I still dont know why I didnt call the police.

I called the day before taking my car and asked if a appointment was needed. Front desk person said no bring it first thing in morning. I had the car there 15 min. prior to the shop opening spoke to same person and let her know that I needed the car by 4 30 pm. She said a person would call me that morning with quote. I never got a call so I called at lunch still had not looked at car. I called at 3pm the person on phone laughed and said there was no way they would get to it that day. I went to get car at 4 30 person up front was very rude.

This place is terrible. They are friendly enough but they workmanship is aweful. My insurance paid for them to replace a control arm and a fender. They told us the work would be none two days early. When it wasnt they said it was just because the fender was was still wet. They left the new Fender outside in the rain over the weekend and had to resand and paint it Monday morning. Because they told me and my husband we were just waiting on a wet fender we didnt make arrangements for transportation for the following week. So my husband told them to put the old Fender back on the car and they allowed him to leave with the vehicle. When he went back to return the vehicle so that they could replace the fender later that day he was told that they had not done an alignment on the vehicle after putting on a new control arm and that it was important he drive very carefully. They kept the vehicle overnight and dropped it off at our home on Tuesday evening. The car made loud high-pitch squealing noises like a nest of baby birds was trapped underneath the vehicle. My husband took the car back to the garage and they test drove it without him in the vehicle and claimed that we were both insane and that there was no squealing. There was also a sound as if something was moving out of place underneath the car when we turned the wheel and a scrubbing sound whenever we slowed to a stop. We didnt bother taking the car back to Bobs because we knew they had just taken advantage of the fact that we couldnt pay for the work out of pocket and were able to get what we needed to get the car back on the road covered by our insurance. We later found out that the control arm was not properly secured and was shifting when we turned the wheel.

Ive been here constantly over the years and so has my dad when he needed coils replaced. I had to drop my truck off twice in two weeks for them to fix my truck and when I drove it off the property the second time, my check engine light came right back on and my truck was shaking all over again. Bobs charged me an arm and a leg for the work they did and didnt even fix my truck issue so I feel like they ripped me off and just fixed whatever they thought was old and needed replacing. I just found a mechanic in town that replaces a coil for $60 less than what Bobs charged. It also took them two full days to fix spark plugs and I tried to call ahead to schedule a time I knew my truck could be seen, but they just say to drop it off. I always leave my truck at mechanic shops because I know the industry and know what they go through. Im never in a rush to get it back and let them take their time. Unfortunately, they just didnt do a good job or really take the time to make sure they didnt miss anything. Another coil needed replacing and there was a leak in my coolant system they never looked for or found. I wont be back, especially since I received no apology or reimbursement or any kind of incentive to take it back to use them for a third time in a row.

I’m not normally one to write horrible reviews - but I felt the Tallahassee community should be aware of the disrespect and FRAUD happening around their own neighborhood. I have trusted Bob’s many times with my car. Little did Iknow when I went to pick up my car for a simple under structure repaid; would I have my car given back to me EVEN MORE BROKEN than when I brought it in. After my “simple fix” I was given a car that had 3+ more problems then when I even brought it in!!! Not only did they completely ruin and destroy my car, but they had every chance to come clean with the damage they caused. They spent TWO MONTHS dodging my calls, my dad’s calls, and the insurance calls. When we finally got a tow truck to remove it from their hostile reigns, they returned the favor by giving the WRONG CAR to the towing company / further continuing the disrespect and i’ll trestment towards my family. I truly feel bad for anyone that works for this distraught company, as they truly have ZERO morals or values. I would have never thought I would be writing a review like this, but they truly left me no choice. I beg of you - anyone who is reading this - DO NOT GO TO BOBS. SAVE YOUR CAR. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

They get the job done!

When I dropped off my car, there was no one at the front desk and no one in the nearby offices even batted an eyelash as I spent several minutes waiting for someone to attend to me. They were trying to charge me almost $900 dollars to fix my car. I contacted a personal friend who works on cars to call them and ask what was actually causing the problem and as a result they were charging me $250 for unnecessary maintenance and telling me everything listed was contributing to the problem. They had my car for 5 days (2 of them not business days) so at that point I let them fix what was actually wrong because I just wanted my car back ASAP. When I called Pepboys to get an estimate on the maintenance that I was going to be charged for, they said it would $175. Unbelievable.

The employees are nice but that doesnt really make up for the poor work. My jeep began to rumble and vibrate while idle so I brought it to Bobs and was told that they were down two mechanics and it would be a while for service and I was fine with that frankly since I live near campus and can walk. But it took an entire week for a diagnosis witch turned up nothing. When I got there to pick up my vehicle the check light immediately turned on and I had to get them to actually use a reader to find the problem. The machine finally said I had cylinder misfires which is either a valve or spark plug issue. So Bobs only did the plugs and now Im out $200 and no closer to an actual solution to my car problem. When I called them back 30 min after I left the lot and the light re lit I wasnt given any indication that Id be given any incentive to return with a refund or discount for the piss poor work. Best auto repair in Tallahassee. They dont try to steal your money. They wont try to replace a good timing belt like most other mechanics.

I have used Bobs for several years and brought several cars/trucks to them, I have always experienced good service at a fair price. The last was a replacement of the AC compressor on my jeep TJ, the unit failed a year later and when I called Misty she looked up the details and told me to bring it in as the repair had a 2yr warranty, there was no charge for the work. This is usually where the garage throws in shop materials or the part is covered but the labor is extra, they fixed the issue with no charge. I am not sure why people are getting variable service here based on the reviews but in my experience I feel ok with recommending them.

Car was leaking power steering fluid. They said the whole system needed to be repaired which was going to cost ~$1,000. I decided not to do it and im extremely glad. Went back home for summer and had my dad check it out, there was just a loose hose. I had previous work done with them so I imagine they loosened my hoses hoping Id come back for more services. My girlfriend also had problems with her truck and she paid ~$900 for repairs but they told her that her truck didnt have much life left in it. She came home as well and took it to a local shop and got everything fixed with no problems. Shame that anyone would stoop down to such a sorry ass level to scam people. Dont bother with these monkeys their mechanics are garbage.

Save your self some time and money and go to Capitol city auto repair.Ive used them several times. I am Giving them two stars because they can preform simple mechanical diagnostics. I am not mechanically retarded so I typically do my own work. With that being said while Im at school I have to rely on mechanics because I dont have access to tools in Tallahassee. The first time I brought my car in it was for a water pump, they did a good job. There were some communication issues that took that made the job take extra time. Which is annoying. The second time, which will be the last time, I brought it in for a starting issue. They replaced my distributor. That is fine because that can be a cause of such an issue. But when I picked it up one of the guys told me its still a little slow to start that might have something to do ith the fuel pump. I dont know what they didnt just take the time to do a fuel pressure test to have a solid answer. But the next day I had the same issue that I origanilly took it in for. I rented a pressure gauge from auto zone and low and behold the psi was low. So I replaced the pump which solved the problem. They are not very thorough when doing diagnostic.

BMW / MERCEDES BENZ / AMG drivers beware!Got my BMW serviced here, and its been running worse than before, ever since I let them service it. Refuse to let them re-check the problem, due to Misty, and her crap mechanic crew giving me excuses. Im forced to pay extra $ for a problem that could of been solved if honest work was done. You get what you pay for. Please.. do not go here, too much shady business going on.Secondly, I was almost charged for a part that should of been replaced along with the work I was paying for. This place is seriously crap, and I regret going there.

They got the repairs done in good time, but A/C broke again shortly after.

I used to go to Bobs for all of my maintenance. There are a couple of very shady things that happened to me there. One of the front desk women (now fired) stole 40 dollars from me, after charging me for an oil change and windshield wipers that I never actually received. Later on after the owner found out that she stole from me, Bobs did not do anything to compensate for my loss. I brought my car in for some issues a a few months ago, and when they were going to charge me an amount outside of my budget I had my car towed back home. They stole my A/C fuse to get back at me. Really ironic considering Ive gone to them for all of my A/C needs, and they know its been a long struggle to have it fixed. Luckily Im not an idiot and I knew that the fuse could have been the issue. Any other person would have taken their car back in for an AC repair and dropped 100+ Dollars not knowing that the fuse was missing.

Mistie and her crew have helped me a lot over the last year. Super happy I have spent it with them. Thanks Bobs!

Make sure you get a print out of what you agree for them to fix before they fix it so there is no confusion.

They ripped me off for 850 dollars knowing that i was about to drive from Florida to seattle .......i couldnt be more disappointed with their actions i was assured everything was fixed before i paid then they acted clueless when i told them the issue persisted also they broke the law by not informing me that my vehicle would be taken to another location and another shop to have some of the work done because apparently they couldnt do an alignment themselves

I scheduled to drop my car off for a buyers inspection the day before. The person I spoke with explained several times that an appointment was not necessary, to just bring it on by. Lo and behold, the next day their schedule is full and I should have made an appointment. The receptionist was rude and offered no alternative. She said sorry, try again. Needless to say, theyve lost my bossiness.

I typically do not write reviews but decided to change my ways for Bobs Auto. I usually take my car to the Dale Earnhardt Jr. GMC/Cadillac/Buick dealership but when their service staff tried to charge me $1000 to fix my brakes I decided to get a second opinion. My back brakes were making a squealing/screeching noise and the dealership told me I need front strut mounts replaced and sway bars replaced and new tires and to give up my left lung before they could fix the issue. I drove down Gaines Street to Bobs Auto and within 10 minutes they told me I needed new brakes, quoted me at $89 and gave me a student discount on top of that....ISSUE RESOLVED...Bobs auto also dropped me off at work while they fixed my brakes.

DO NOT GO TO BOBs, I went there for my brakes in my car ...they told me one estment which was over price, but i was ok with the price then he calls me later on that day saying more things in my car are bad i leave paying way over $250 dollars ..so when i leave the shop my brake are ok few hours later that day my brakes go back to being the same way it was when i gave him my car ..I repeat bob is bad business do not go to him.
