They respond promptly to nuisance and dangerous animals. They also follow local ordinances precisely. It is important to document the complaint in pictures. Next, go to your bank and fill out the complaint form online and have it notarized. It is a tedious but fair process. The gentleman who captured the animals followed up the first time but not the second. He is very personable.

I called animal control because two dogs in my neighborhood have attacked several other dogs and bit a person and charged at children. There are police reports on file as well as reports with Animal Control but they continue to tell me they can’t do anything unless we get the attacks on video. Richard Walker was of no help and the director Cara Aldridge actually laughed and was very unprofessional on the phone. I told her at the beginning of the conversation that I was very upset that nothing has been done yet and that I just wanted to speak with the director to see what could be done. What a joke she was! I hope they find a new director and that they get smart enough to start running nights and weekends when people let their dogs out....

Complete waste of taxpayer money. They never respond to calls when you need them - and completely ignore issues with sick strays that are harming the neighborhood. What are our taxes paying for if you dont do anything?

I called at 4:50 and you dont close until 5. I had a kitten stuck in the dashboard of a truck and I waited from the time I called until 8:30 at night and no one showed and the kitten sadly didnt make it. I called every 30 minutes and even said that the kittens breathing was getting slower and that I needed someone fast and got no help at all.

Thankful for OFFICER GAINES very professional approach for retrieving a feral cat from my trap. He had compassion for the animal, took his time to de-stress it as best he could, as well as handled the whole operation with the safest possible procedure. A very nice man and a credit to Leon County Animal Control in doing a very stressful job!

Very helpful and they were very considerate

The woman at the desk was extremely rude. Refused to take a litter of kittens found in a nearby parking lot unless I pay $20 each to drop them off. I couldn’t afford that!!! She said I should have left them to die, that they were my problem now. Of course if I returned them to the parking lot I could be charged with animal abandonment. I told her I would take them elsewhere, so she calls up the neighboring county shelters to warn them I might be bringing Tallahassee kittens by. So the wakulla animal control didn’t want to take them either, but eventually did and told me they would euthanize them immediately.

Someone said they hate pits not true...my pit was given up for adoption....although without my permission. They should have checked her chip amd seen if the owner was the one giving up for adoption ots been 3 years we still miss our kid. My daughters and i bottle fed her from 3 weeks. She wasnt just SOME dog she was out family. A vindictive ex put her up for adoption during my move up here. They have a 4 day hold time before they adopt...i was there on that day she was adopted 3 hours after brought out front. Great dog if anybody knows of this dog please find me on facebook her picture is there. Shes a5 years old at this time white and brown. Her picture isnon my facebook page. Wish i would have thought to post this before. She was adopted to a family off Tennessee st near college. Thats all they told me i put flyers up and ads but no avail. One more try. She may still go by the name tizzy.

Hats off to leon county animal control! they hired another vet so that now ALL animals leaving the building will be sterilized! Big step in in the right direction. Congradulations to the board for making a good decision this time.

They HATE pits !!!! Of all the animals in my neighborhood they have to harass YES HARASS they chose my pits constantly finding issues fix one issue (while theyre there) they come back and FIND another issue theyve harassed me about a dog thats DEAD when I told them the dog was dead she practically called me a liar then happened to observe my other dog and now wont stop routinely aka EVERY DAMN 2 DAYS* checking on the dog she just came to pick the dog up and was upset because on the surrender paper I ONLY acknowledged the dog is my responsibility not that she can euthanize not that they cant call I was told Id be speaking with the lieutenant however she drove off with my dog instead ..... I asked why my dogs were a target when its dogs next door and across the street w/o collars let alone rabies tags etc her exact words were this is the dog of my focus aka Im harassing your dog and ONLY your dog because I have nothing better to do !

Please save my kitty cat..And please bring him back to me.

They just dont care......ride around on their butts in the ac doing nothing. Made several to get vicious animals away from kids school bus where they were being attacked. They said well the mother didnt call . I am a parent of a child that get off at the stop. Its sad something drastic has to happen for them to do something . waste of tax payers money,someone should be fired.

I’ve been waiting 8 days for these people to remove a carcass from county property near my home. Go figure

My information got out because one of yalls workers is talking to other people about me just saying thats grounds for me to sue and lord knows I could use the money.
