We have taken out a number trees over the years on our property. Mostly big old fir trees. Without question, John Sperry and his team at Arbor Services Northwest has been the most professional, affordable and safest company we have worked with.This year we decided to take out a four foot diameter fir that was only about ten feet from the house. We loved this tree but it had already put a huge branch through our kitchen window during a winter storm. It had a double crown and felt that it was a risk to keep it up any longer.Taking out a tree of this size so close to the house has the potential for damage to the property and the surrounding yard and garden. Arbor Services Northwest was able to take the tree down in manageable sections safely with minimal damage to surrounding plants. We did have to reseed part of the yard where the logs created some large divots. But I would have been surprised if we didnt have some repair after a project like this. It was an impressive sight, and a little sad to see this beautiful tree taken down.We had a number of other, smaller trees removed as well, and John cleaned up some trees, most notably a big maple in our back yard. We are quite happy with the extra light our yard gets and feel that our trees and house are safer for the coming winter season.An important part of tree removal is cleanup. Taking down big trees makes a big mess and johns team did a good job of keeping the mess under control and tidying things up.Besides doing a great job on our trees, John was easy to work with. He showed up when he said he would and he respected our time Those may sound like small matters of courtesy, but I have been surprised by how many small business owners neglect these important skills. If you are going to have people at your home for a few days, you want to feel comfortable with them. John and everyone on his team were friendly, interesting and easy to talk to.

John and his crew came in and removed 3 HUGE connifers very close to my house. I was almost afraid to watch, but they dropped them exactly where they planned, without touching the house. John and his team arrived as scheduled and went to work. We have eight 100+ ft trees we wanted limbed. They worked steadily for about 5 hours limbing, shredding, and hauling away all they trimmed. They were all very professional and friendly answering any questions. We will definitely use them again.

We had a large alder tree that was rotting and leaning toward the house. You could see light coming through the trunk of the tree and it was dangerously close to coming down at any time. I called one of the larger tree removal services but was told that, due to living on an island, that they wouldnt be able to do anything for at least two weeks. I called John at Arbor Services, told him about my situation, and he said he could come over on Sunday, which was only a couple of days from the time I called. He and Jeremy arrived on time, safely removed the unstable tree, and limbed-up some unsafe branches from a huge fir tree in the yard. Im going to use these guys again in the future. Fairly priced, professionally done, and honest. Good job.

We had a very scary situation concerning a dangerous tree. Jeremy and John made sure it didnt fall on the house, part of it split while Jeremy was on the tree. Arbor Services Northwest was incredible! John responded to our request for quote very fast. He came to our home and assessed the job. The quote was fair and beat others by a mile. We had a line up of Locust trees on our fence line that we wanted removed and also some cedars thinned out with branches we needed off of the neighbors roof. They had an incredibly busy weekend with storm clean up and many people needing their services. But they still came when they said they would. They were kind and professional and knowledgeable. You can tell that John has been doing this for years and with his partner in tow the two of them got the job done and left our yard cleaner then it was when they came. Safety always first too. I had thick ropes of ivy growing nearly to the top of several mature Douglas fir trees and some smaller big leaf maples. The trees are all on a steep slope making access difficult. John responded to my voicemail on a Saturday night immediately and we set up a site visit the next day. After discussing the scope of work we came to terms and set an appointment a few days later. They showed up on time and got the job done skillfully and efficiently. They climbed up and rappelled down the trees removing all the ivy, dead branches and some smaller trees that had been killed by the vines. They chipped up the debris and left the work site cleaner than they found it. I would not hesitate to recommend them and plan to use them again in the future. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Super friendly, easy to work with local family small business.

I’m not sure what I’m more impressed with, the customer service or the actual job done. I called for a bid and they came out on the same day. They kept in communication with me throughout the entire process until completion. They were extremely helpful and professional even when a branch went sideways and ended up tangled in another tree. Thank you for coming back out and getting that out as well. I appreciate the effort on a job that appeared easy but wasn’t and the top notch communication.
