We called for repairs to our Kenmore washer. Two weeks(!) later, a repair man came by in a truck not readily identifiable as being from Sears. The technician did not have the part to repair the coded issue for we had called the non-Sears/Kenmore repair agent! (Additionaly, he did not no have have a drain hose connector which we had neglected to advise the person to whom we had called initially.)Your technician said that he would order both the T-35/Suds device and a new drain hose connector, both of which are to be sent to our address within 2 (more) weeks. Your technician then had us prepay $650 for repairs that will take four weeks from the date of our telephone call.Sirs and Madams, I sure miss the Sears of my youth!
Last fall we requested service under our service contract for our Kenmore microwave. The repairman came after some delay. Couldnt repair without parts. Informed us that parts could be delayed and tried to convince us to buy a new microwave and forget the repair. He then reported that we were buying and the case was closed. When I checked into the delay in parts I was informed that the contract was closed. So I reopened it for repair. Though the needed parts list was known, another repairman was sent out without parts in February. He reordered the parts. Two of the three arrived. The third was back ordered from February to May with no contact from Sears. When I called in April for an update I was told the team would consider an alternative and I would receive a call confirming this which I did. But the team had no plan they were thinking about it. When I called in May, I was told the team would replace my microwave but no date plan or other information was supplied. I have two of three parts, a dead microwave and no plan for repair or replacement.
Was looking for the filter base hey guy. A drain hose was not impressed at $20 for a French door refrigerator what I need is the filter base for inside the refrigerator
The Tech was very good. I was pleased with everything but the price and the long delay for service.
Didnt originally have the part but found he could get it up the street. Got the part and came back and fixed it instead of coming back for another as appointment.
I scheduled repair on my refrigerator in July. Parts were ordered but a tech never returned to complete the repair. I have been getting the runaround by customer service since then. Unknown to me, the repair was reported completed in November while I was waiting for parts. Now Im fighting with customer service to have the repair re opened. Ive emailed several times with no response. Absolutely horrible customer service.
Avoid Sears! You cant depend on them, at all. Sears used to have a quality reputation. Now, Sears stands for lies and broken promises in their delivery and repair service. Today at 4:30 p.m., Sears canceled a stove repair that was to happen by 5 p.m. today, that I have waited 1.5 months for. They rescheduled it for 3 weeks later. Thats totally unacceptable. I could have scheduled with another company that would have come out 3 weeks ago. I went with Sears because I thought I could trust them. This is not the first time this happened. At Christmas, my dryer went out and I purchased a new one through Sears to be delivered a week later, then got a message a few days later that oops, they needed to reschedule two weeks later. (I had purchased from Sears because they would deliver the soonest.) This is obviously now the way Sears operates - dont depend on them. . Sears = lies, poor customer service, and broken promises.
This has been a terrible, frustrating experience using Sears. They are asking us to review service that has not even been completed. Over a month ago their service rep came, took apart our oven and ordered parts. We only received one of the two parts ordered and after numerous phone calls (and hours spent being transferred to no one who knew anything) at their horrible service center, we were finally told the other part is on backorder. No one seems to know when it will be received. There has been no communication directly to us. We have now contacted them twice to refund our payment for the part and service that was never completed. Despite assurances a refund was handled we called a week later to hear our refund has been cancelled because the records show the service has been completed! Without the missing part and with no repair no less! So far, no refund and again, hours spent on the phone with customer service. Based on our experience and still awaiting a refund on the prepaid missing part and service, find another company to use and do not prepay them for anything!
I made an appointment a week ago to have someone come fix my washer for today 1-5pm, it’s now 3:30 and I go to my original email to see if there’s a way to see when they’ll be here. But I see a notice in the link I click for “service updates” that says they canceled my appointment. No text, no call, no email. So I call the number and the lady says they didn’t give a reason and can’t get me in for another week. Needless to say, I recommend you don’t waste your time.
Riding lawn-mower repair. Scheduling an appointment for my trouble call was excessive: it took roughly 3.5 weeks for a technician to be available. Received multiple reminders (both e-mail and phone call) of the date the tech was supposed to arrive, plus an hour advance notice the tech was on his way, and a call from the tech just before he arrived. Tech was polite, obviously knew what needed to be done, and executed the repairs quickly and efficiently. Slight problem with billing/payment, but that was because we live in a remote area where cell service is poor and not due to any failing on the techs part or his equipment. Price was high but not unexpectedly so. Would use this service again.
Our repair person gets the Golden Three Ps Award: Punctual, Professional, and Personable. William H. was very helpful, communicative, and did a thorough job.
They charged me for services not done on appliances I do not have.I do not have a face book account is there an email?
We had an appointment between 1-5 pm. They called 5 pm automated recordingyou need to call to reschedule appointment. Wasted a half day.
I cant put into words how lowly I recommend Sears. The customer service offered by telephone is atrocious and the online chat option isnt much better. Sears didnt save the first service appointment I made in its system so I had to call back to reschedule. The service technician who came out to do a diagnostic on my washing machine recommended I either spend $1,000 in parts and labor (not to mention wait a month for the parts to come in since Sears apparently uses Pony Express) or buy a new unit. Upon closer inspection after the technician left, I discovered the issue was a cracked discharge hose, which he never even looked at. This company is the epitome of incompetence.
I had a tech come to service my dryer and I was charged $183. When he left my son in law was working to install a new washer, and he noticed that the dryer was full of lint and debris that was supposed to have been cleaned out. The vent was a mess also. He cleaned it out and yet when I tried to call Sears to report the issue and ask for my money back, all numbers were either no longer in service or a recording that never put me in touch with a live body. Very sad that Sears of today and nothing like Sears or yesterday!
They said to call the manufacturer and they are it. Didnt answer the questions nor give me the information to find the right person to talk to.
Sears did not accurately disclose the cost of repair before service was scheduled and completed. Cost was $429 to defrost my freezer. If I would have known this I would have bought a new appliance. I will NEVER use Sears again.
Repairman arrived in a timely manner, calling to confirm prior to arriving. He quickly analyzed and diagnosed the problem and made some recommendations. Part was needed and he ordered it delivered to our door. He demonstrated emergency use of dryer, which we did utilize, however, we are waiting on the part. I requested a service plan for the dryer because it just went out of warranty and it was not as expensive as repeated repairs might become. (My last dryer lasted nearly 15 years with just one belt replacement.) The shop where I purchased the one year old Hotpoint dryer has changed hands. I have used Sears before and recommend them. This repairman was well trained, neat and clean, personable and helpful. He was able to communicate by cell and laptop and accepted credit card payment for the service and service plan.Yes, I would call them again if needed.
The service technician was great with his diagnosis but I had to pass on the repair. On top of the $90 service call, Sears wanted to charge $160+tax to replace a $15 thermal fuse that would take 1 minute to change.
Courteous friendly service. Parts were ordered, recieved and he came back and in minutes had the switch in and even gave me time to clean the area I can never get to. Thanks Greg.
Called on a Thursday, repairman came out the next morning. Very happy with his performance. Boy o boy was it pricey!!! If I could find someone in the area cheaper that could have come out the next day I woulda.
Quick response. Polite technician. Too pricey for just an estimate
Didnt show didnt call
This was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had with a company like this.I scheduled a technician to visit my house from 1-5 PM today. Pretty large window, but no problem, I understand that scheduling things like this with multiple work orders can be difficult. My wife rearranges her schedule in order to ensure that she will be at home and available during that time.5 PM rolls around, and no one has stopped by, called, texted, etc. Im a little upset at this point, but I figure that they might just be delayed and call to check up with Sears to see what is going on. They explain that the technician is running late, but that he will be there this evening. They also assure me that if he is unable to make it for any reason, they will call to notify me.Come 8 PM, no call, no text, no technician. I call Sears up again and Im told that because the technician couldnt make it, my service has been rescheduled for 8 days from today, on a Wednesday. The customer service person then reassures me that this is okay and they can reschedule it to 6 days from today (Monday) instead. Throughout this whole process, there was not one notification of a delay or rescheduling. I literally had to call in order to find out that they werent showing up and that they had moved the appointment by over a week.Maybe they just lacked the means to notify me, right? As soon as I cancelled the service, both my wife and I got emails confirming the cancellation in less than a minute. Thanks for the prompt notification there!
Technician was a no show, no text, no phone call.Wasted 4hrs of our time waiting for the technician to show up!Received an email for a rescheduled date 8days out!Totally disgusted with their customer service.
Initial Service was scheduled for 9/5. Faulty switch was problem. Inventory said part in truck. Was not in truck. Contacted parts center, inventory said part there. Parts center called serviceman, part not at center. Had to order. Part to be delivered 9/11. Service rescheduled 9/14 and part installed, washed fixed. Sears needs a better system to manage its inventory of products used for Service. We were without our washer for two (2) weeks.
Sears service vendor, Sharper Service, is TERRIBLE. They seem to have great difficulty creating a schedule, unlike most of the rest of the civilized world. All of my appointments have been canceled or changed at the last minute. The worst one was a 4 day delay, and I remain waiting for my broken washer to be fixed. I asked them if they are working on improving their scheduling system. They said its been working fine for years. I told them that ALL of my appointments that were set up by them have been changed or canceled, at severe inconvenience to me. It seems this was completely lost on them, like they just dont care. They have been out 4 times now, and the problem is still not solved. I would recommend that if you buy an appliance, find out who is the contracted service provider. If its Sharper Service, I would shop elsewhere. ZERO stars, but Im forced to select one.
Repair mechanic arrived well within the scheduled time window, having called 45 minutes before arrival (nice). Work was done in a timely manner, with no interruption to my routines. He was very helpful in explaining the features of the warranty program, the billing, the contract, etc. Business as it should be done. Excellent attention to affected appliances and a reminder to call again for a yearly check-up.
Was able to schedule a next day repair online. Tech was on time and got the repair completed within an hour. Only issue/concern was that I was informed I could not use my 20% off coupon because there were no replacement parts needed. Thought that was kind of strange as the coupon stated 20% off the regular price of your next completed in-home repair service (parts and labor). Besides that, I am happy with the service.
Did not have a good experience with the repair service. The dishwasher was already disassembled for the repair technician to inspect. He rapidly determined that it was a blown fuse In the unit. The technician quoted the repair at over $260!? When asked to justify his rates and how he came up with that number, the technician refused. To purchase the fuse at a parts store is $7, and the repair would be completed within minutes. With hourly technician labour rate, travel time to location, fuel, mileage, the repair should be substantially less, while still making a large profit. The repair was refused for the astronomical cost, yet the fee for showing up once again was extremely high. The technician not being able to verify his rates is very unreasonable when providing a service, it felt as though he stole money. Times can be tough, and it hurts when it feels like money is thrown away for nothing. Do not use this repair service!!!!
Replaced the compressor after waiting almost a month for part. Thanksgiving morning, woke up to fridge being warm. Pulled everything out and put in coolers. fridge started getting cold next day. but doesnt feel as cold as it should be. may be another underlying problem. Need to schedule another service repair.
The repair man--Jack--was over booked so he was very late. He was scheduled to come between 10 and 2 pm. He came at 5 pm. No one called to say that he could be late so I called Sears at 3 pm and they said they would check into it. Uh huh...Anyway, once he arrived, he showed me what needed to be done to fix it, and viola, it worked.Jack was very pleasant and knowledgeable even though he apparently did the work of two service providers that day. I would call Sears again. Just dont count on the repair time-window.BTW: when you call Sears, I think the call is routed through Pakistan. The sound quality is terrible, the person who answers the phone has a definite accent and says things like Have a nicely day. I have experienced this three times. It seems to be the norm to outsource the service call center. But the actual guy who shows up to fix something, he is good.
The Sears appliance repair in Tacoma was very responsive and came over to where I live on an island within a few days of my phone call. They fixed my dishwasher in just a few minutes and i was back in business washing my dishes. Very professional and efficient.
I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator in November 2015. It was highly rated by consumer reports. Overall the refrigerator functions well, however, it vibrates very loudly when the compressor comes on. Ive had 7 different technicians out and they have not been able to correct the problem. (Sears even ordered a new compressor, which I maintain isnt the problem, and when the technician came out to install, he didnt do it as he said that is not the problem!). Over the course of time, Ive taken numerous days off work, been on the phone waiting in a queue for a combined number of hours, Ive been transferred, disconnected, instructed to call a different number, and promised that someone would call me back and they have not done so. I am now retired and I get to listen to this loud, obnoxious buzzing and rattling all throughout the day. Its intolerable. The product is defective, but more important is Sears inability to resolve this issue satisfactorily. I have spent many thousands of dollars over the last 40 years at Sears, but I am DONE!
I was happy with the repair. But was not happy with your new computer program for calculating the bill. The technician could not find and area that documented the the actual repair, so he charged me for something else. Also he was unable to allow me to pay with a credit card. The system was not working so cash or check required. Your new computer program for the technicians is terrible. The technician prior to this one had the old program and it worked fine. I think I was over charged for the service which was to put a new wire terminal on end of wire and attach back to motor. No other parts needed.
This year Sears has fixed our refrigerator and our lawn tractor. They are always the first place we call for service because they are quick, reliable, and are willing to come to our place which is out in the country. They often have a coupon that gives a discount off of the cost of service repair too. Highly recommend them!
Very good service. Knew just when the repairperson was coming. then he did a great job in a jiffy for what I thought was a fair price. Id use them again in a heartbeat.
Josh showed up on time made the repair quickly with the part that had been sent ahead to my house. His professional knowledge and abilitys were evident as he made the repair and then tested the washing machine out in order to make sure everything was working. We have done 3 loads of laundry since then and have not had the problem occur again.
Excellent service by Jean, ID 813949 unit 8505. He did the most thorough review of all appliances we have ever had. He even gave tips on how to keep appliances cleaner and how to make produce stay fresh longer. Super service.
This review request was about my tractor repair, and NOT about appliance repair. The engine in my 24 hp. Craftsman Lawn Tractor had failed and Sears agreed to replace the engine. The replacement engine was actually an upgrade (25 hp. Professionals grade) from the original OEM (Itek) engine, but was guaranteed by Briggs and Stratton to be functionally and physically interchangeable with the original.OK, so far, so good. But the replacement was not installed correctly. There is a very small amount of clearance in the tractor chassis for the engine bolts. This would be just enough for centering of the exact engine placement so that it lines up correctly with the cooling air shroud built into the hood of the tractor. But the installing technician failed to do that, and now the shroud does not mate with the top of the engine, and the hood does not close fully. It now leaves a gap big enough to put your little finger through the opening.I asked the tech about that before he left, and he angrily said that it was “the best he could do”. This experience with Sears repair services is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
The repair man was very professional, helpful, and respectful. He went above and beyond to fix the problem and make sure that it worked and that I was satisfied. One of the best experiences that we have had. Thank you.
I was very diapoited it appearedd to me that your emploe waprimary mor interestd in selling me a program for repar than fixing anYTHING. HE DETERMEND I NEEDED A $600 REPAIR BASICLY I PAID $IO7 FOR A SALES PITCH. THANK A LOT
Ask for a repair on our front load washer. The technician was on time but come to find out everything was fine and the guests at our Air bnb had either overloaded it or it became out of balance. So no repair was done, but when the technician was done he did a 2 minute vacuum of the lint trap on our dryer and charged an additional $54.00. I didnt order the Dryer tune up but when I called back to the customer service all they said was NO and we will not refund your money for dryer. So... $154.00 literally down the drain!!! POOR Customer service. Wont do business with them again!!!
This was our first annual service of our A/C.The Tech. was Virgil. An extremely professional and knowledgeabletechnician. I would want a representative of his ability and demeanorevery time.
Arrived later than expected. I was very satisfied with Technician that serviced my Kenmore Refrigerator. My Maytag Washer is still not repaired. It has been 4 weeks today; that the first repair person was here. He had to order parts which took 3 weeks for the Motor replacement to arrived. The second tech that came out; replaced two parts and said the Washer and was ready to use; No way. He failed to install the new Motor; but took it with him when he left. The third tech said another Motor has to be ordered. Why couldnt the motor taken home by the second tech be reclaimed and used?
Great service--prompt and friendly. Very professional and helpful. I was very impressed and recommend the Sears Home Service Team completely!
The service people (2) were very considerate, worked very fast and efficiently and responded to all questions and concerns very carefully. It was a pleasure to have them in my house working on my appliances.Thank you for such capable individuals.
I am very pleased with the repair service I received from Erasmo, Service Tech # 942037, Sears Appliance Repair. He was very polite and made sure that I knew what he was doing to my washer every step of the way. He was very business-like and I was comfortable with him in my house. My washer is like new now, but if I ever need more repair work, I will certainly call Sears Appliance Repair.
Very good job it is true Sears Is ALWAYS the BEST at what they do.
Marty was running late because he was taking over for his coworkers appointments that called in that day. I was disappointed that he didnt call me to let me know, and I had to call Sears Home Services to find out. But once he arrived, he made up for that in spades. He was so friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and yes he apologized for being so late. He went above and beyond to get our riding mower up and running for a fair price. I would recommend this service for in-home repair to anyone.
The repairman came on time and called ahead of time. My whole day was not wasted because they came when they said they would. When he arrived in the morning, he took about 15 minutes to assess what needed to be done and said he would come back in the afternoon with the part. When he came back he installed the part in 10 minutes.
Worst experience ever with an appliance repair: Took a full week to appear for the first visit to diagnose the problem--which might have been obvious from the error codes displayed by the appliance, a wall mounted oven and microwave combo. The indicated faulty circuit board could have almost certainly been made available and replaced on this visit. ELEVEN days to reappear for part replacement of this board. Apparently the wrong part, however, as the problem recurred three days later, same error code. Another week wait for a diagnostic visit, then ANOTHER 8 DAY WAIT to replace the units second major circuit board. Immediately failed again with same error codes. Experienced tech finally tracked fault after consulting with manufacturer and effecting a no-parts-needed repair --which, in my opinion, could and should have been accomplished on the first visit. (Bad internal power supply connection which showed up nearly two years after installation.) Additionally damaged trim strips during removal and replacement of oven in wall--twice. Bottom line: 33 days to repair a simple electrical connection; $500 in parts and 4 visits, fortunately covered under extended warranty. Horrible waste of time and resources.
Our repair person was professional, nice, explained the work he was performing, and used creative problem solving to fix both problems with our refrigerator. This one service call paid for our warranty program. We are quite pleased with the work and highly recommend purchasing a Sears appliance warranty.
The technician, Ms. Crystal, located the water leak problem, but it was not attached to the refrigerator she came to service. Nonetheless, I very impressed by her articulate explanation of the problem. Also, she was quite polite. All in all, shes an impressive young lady whom I would welcome back to service an appliance at any time the need would arise.
Actually the technician that came to the house was terrific. Brought the rating up from 0 to 3. Phone service with customer service was not great. Arguing, telling me my expectations were ridiculous is not acceptable. There should be a way to alert the technician what the error code was and be prepared with the initial suggested parts. I was lucky. The part was on the truck. The repair service address was not from Sears Appliance Repair, 4502 S Steele St #100, Tacoma, WA 98409 as shown in this window is not where the appliance was serviced from. (Alderwood location)
I very much liked my repairman. Seems that maybe you need to have different levels of charges. 15 minutes and he was done. Ordered a new knob. With the part my visit was $200.
I will never use sears home service again! They canceled my appt twice. Both times they kept pushing back my appt, but of course not letting me know that the tech was running behind. No, I had to contact them to see where the tech was. Then they pushed it back again and then without talking to me they rescheduled my appt. So Im done with them wasting my time. They are very unprofessional and very unreliable.
Your technician, Erasmo, called when he was leaving a job and heading to our house. He explained everything he was doing, asked questions regarding the problem, how I operated the appliance and offered suggestions on how I might improve the running of the appliance. He was very meticulous in cleaning up when he was done. When I need appliance repair in the future I will definitely ask for him by name.
Basuc maintenance service for my refrigerator was very fine. However, tgis nice technician was certified on many appliances but not refrigerators so he could not answer my questions. Why would Sears send someone to do the service even though he wasnt certified for refrigerators? Not a good idea in my book.
I received a reminder of the appointment the day before, a robocall on the morning of letting me know the tech would be out that morning, and a personal call from the tech when he was actually headed my way. If anything, its maybe a little too much contact, but hey, too much is better than too little. The tech showed up promptly and we took a look at my dryer. Unfortunately, the cost of repairing the dryer was going to be more than the dryer was worth (the parts alone would cost as much as an inexpensive dryer), but the tech was knowledgeable and honest about it, and showed me a way I could at least temporarily get the dryer going again when the problem occurs, so I can get by until I replace it.
Great service. Thank You Super service provided by the servicemen. I am very pleased with the job done and the professionalism of the workers. Thank you very much for a job well done.
The appliance repairman called to let me know that he was running a little late but that he would be here in an hour or two. When he arrived, he came in and was able to fix the problem that I was having with my freezer and he was able to make another minor adjustment which was not called for, and so i was very pleased with his service. I felt he went above and beyond his call of duty.
My Sears techichian was awesome! He did my yearly maintenance on my washer/dryer, refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. He was very thoughral and explained how I could maintain the life of my appliances. Very professional and knowledgeable about each appliance as well. He took his time to check and clean each appliance as per the warranty I purchased. Kudos to this tech!!
Unfortunately my washer was beyond repair but their advice was most helpful about how to keep it going for now and what to consider as an eventual replacement. They were knowledgeable and provided excellent service.
Rep that setup appointment ordered the parts. Parts arrived ahead of time and tech was right on schedule. He had the new Latch in our dishwasher and was gone in 30 minutes. Its now working just fine. Very efficient.
Repairman was very knowledgeable. He quickly found problem and fixed it. However we have now found ice building up on the unit that was fixed in the refrigerator. Pretty sure this is not supposed to be happening.
The repair person was on time, very courteous, informative, and efficient. The only negative is not his fault, but a problem with your Customer Service. I signed up for the Appliance Warranty. It had to be process through Sears. The repair person was on hold for an unusually long time. Thats not an efficient way to run a business.
I had one tech tell me the item was not repairable and the next said the same in the beginning but then changed his mind. I wonder who was write. Even though it was over 90 days, the outlet store took it back without any problem and disregarded their 30 day return policy.
When I called, I was hooked up to a center in the Phillipenes, which I did not like! I advised the person on the phone to have the repairman to bring a magnetron for replacement as I knew that is what failed. Repairman showed up. No magnetron! He opened the GE Profile oven, which I had given the model number when I called. Repairman said magnetron had failed. Will order and return in a week to replace!!! Magnetron ordered by repairman through Sears Part Supply at a cost of $110 more than I could have bought it for elsewhere. DO NOT CALL SEARS FOR REPAIR OF ANYTHING!!!! YOU WILL GET #$5@&@#. Unable to talk to anyone in the USA.
We waited over two months to finally get someone to come to Vashon Island, WA, but when he came he fixed the problem....temporarily. The belt came off the riding mower AGAIN and we had to call him on his cell phone. Amazingly, he came back and fixed it and tightened some things..also, he showed me how to do it. A good guy!
Prompt, efficient, for phase one . Check back for microwave repair.
This was a very good experience. The young man who performed the service was professional, quick & most helpful in explaining good care for me to following caring for my refrigerator. We are very pleased.
Our service was great and Will was awesome.
Service was fast and efficient. Technician was friendly but worked hard while continuing pleasant and informative conversation. Parts were in stock so it only took one day to complete repairs.
Tech was quick and gave me the exact diagnosis I needed to fix the problem. Unfortunately he told me the part would take 3 days to get in. It has now been over a week without my refrigerator due to the cheapness of sears to order the bare minimum for delivery of their parts. Had I used appliance pro online I could have had the part the next.
He was a lovely guy, checked things, helped me with ways to care for it! and was very pleasant! I enjoyed the checkup!
William was outstanding in his service and knowledge of my machine.
I had Sears come check out an issue with my dishwasher shutting off mid cycle. I knew that it would be $60 just to come in the door. I was floored that adjusting the door latch, a two minute fix, cost an additional $100 plus the tax of $15 for a grand total of $175. I asked why it was so expensive and the repair guy told me that it was Sears policy that even if the fix only took five minutes he was required to charge the hour rate. I should have known they would, thats on me. I used Sears because of the name. I will never use them for repairs, or buy their products again.
Great service. On time, pleasant. Resolved the problem with our washer almost immediately and even identified another issue we were unaware of. Nobody else would service LG in the area, so we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of this service.
Scheduling was easy, got the date that worked for me, repairman was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Very pleased with Sears and the appliances that I own.
Let me begin by stating that we have bought every appliance weve ever owned in our 31 years of marriage - from Sears. Typically always staying within the Kenmore brand. We had a major kitchen remodel and purchased the Sears Kenmore Elite Pro Dishwasher, 6 burner gas range, refrigerator and double-wall oven. We are extremely disappointed that our NEW refrigerator had a major failure and that it took 4 weeks for the repair due to back ordered parts. I asked for a loaner refrigerator and was denied as we didnt purchase the extended warranty. Its pretty inconvenient to live a month without a refrigerator! When the technician arrived he commented on the condition of the box that carried one of the delicate parts. The part was bent badly, but the technician assured me it would function fine. (Photos attached) When scheduling the appointment I was told this repair would take 3-4 hours. The technician arrived around 12:30pm and at 4pm had to leave to go to the parts store as they were going to close at 5pm - and he needed to get parts for his next job. He returned around 5:30pm and completed the job around 6:30pm. It was frustrating to have the kitchen in disarray for the extended time. (photos attached) Customer Service at Sears is failing. Its no wonder the company is struggling to stay in business.
It takes 1 1/2 -2 weeks to get an appointment. Then the technician figured out the water leak problem and ordered parts. Did not figure out why the freezer and refrigerator werent cold enough. Another appointment 1 1/2 weeks later. The technician called out sick. Another appointment. 1 1/2 weeks later a different technician comes. He fixes the water leak but isnt sure what the previous technician was thinking about the refrigerator and freezer not being cold enough. He recharges the freon. The next day a little but colder but not cold enough. Have to make another appointment. I have been trying to get this fixed since the first part of July. The technicians are nice though.
Repairman serviced my refrigerator first stop in the morning. He was very helpful and completed the work quickly. He is a very good representative for Sears.
I called to get my glass cooktop repaired because the top was broken. Even though I have a service contract I was told it wasnt covered, so now I must try to fix it myself and purchase a very expensive part ($465.00). Thanks a lot Sears.
The service man was beyond nice. But I bought a warranty service from Sears prior to making the appointment. Not happy when told it wasnt in our system yet and thus wasnt able toget the discounted price.VERY unhappy.
I received email reminders before the swrvice and a phone call from the service person 50-minutes out. He arrived on schedule, oerformed the service and gave me good maintenance tips. Very polite man.
The repair man himself was excellent and went above and beyond making sure our microwave was in good working order. My complaint would be about the appointment making process. I called to make the appointment and then was given the window of time for the apt of four hours. The day came and when the four hour window came and went I called the customer service line to be told my appointment had been canceled. I asked why I was not informed and they said I am sorry for your inconvenience. This happened a total of THREE times! Thankfully the fourth time the repairman showed up and fixed the problem - it took him four hours but it is done. But in the mean time I had to take off a total of four days to get this repair taken care of. Super rude!
Darryl, the Sears service tech, arrived on time and had the parts to fix our Maytag washer quickly. Now it works like new. Thank you Darryl.
Our dryer was making a noise sounding like the drum was off. The repairman was on time, crawled partially inside and found a small snap stuck in the space between the rotating drum and dryer body. He removed it, which fixed the problem and only charged us for his visit. We were happy with the service.
The repairman arrived at the beginning of the appointment window. He was very knowledgeable of my washer and willing to answer all my questions. The only downside was the 10 days for replacement parts.
Our dishwasher is very important to us. We have had nothing but excellent service since day one.So glad I am keeping up with the maintenance program.I didnt know about the free annual inspection until your rep told me about it.Jim Webber
Sears Home service was great! I was able to get an appointment right away and the next day my washer was fixed.
Marlen was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend their services to anyone needing dryer or washer repair.
Service was great and the repairman had the part needed to fix my washer in his van
Service was from 1-5 he came at 5 and cleaned the frozen ice from the icemaker, he said that is all do not change the temperator in both freezer and ref. well the ice maker is frozen again and this is about the 3 time.will have to call him in again.. he did not clean the filter area so did not provide a good service....somebody was to look at my dish washer put nobody did that...
The technician called before arrival, was on time, courteous, and efficient. A job well done.
Technician was nice, but a bit clueless. After hooking up the power cord to the dryer he said there was no power going to the dryer so he checked the breaker. However, he failed to check the laundry room breaker right next to the main breaker. Had he done that he wouldve seen the dryer breaker was off. We had to call an electrician, who solved the problem in less than 2 minutes. I basically paid $142 for Sears to hook up the power cord, which I could have done myself.
Our repairman was on time to the second, was very professional, could answer all of our questions, and left with a smile--THANKS MUCH! Repairman was spot on time, courteous, and knew what he was doing.
Timely and very efficient. Serviceman was very knowledgeable and helped me understand my treadmill and how it works.
The repair man was friendly and professional and having been to our house before to do other repairs was familiar with my family and asked about them
