We had an excellent visit not only today, but when we started our wedding band search. The prices are reasonable and the quality of staff and the jewelry is great. Would recommend starting a jewelry search with this jewler first.

Really sweet and attentive staff. They often help out with simple stuff, free of charge. Be warned, their showroom is a little small, so it may be kinda cramped inside if its busy.

Got a ring resized here staff was kind and turnaround was quick. Good prices too. They did put the wrong number down for our call back but these things happen.

Tom was an absolute pleasure to work with. It was our first time buying a precious gemstone and Tom went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He listened to what we wanted and sourced a gorgeous stone for us, communicating responsively throughout the process. He was personable, patient, candid, and never pushy. Tom the owner is very down to earth and easy to talk to. He wont over sell you on an item. He actually turned my wife and I away for making a ring that we were looking at because another online jeweler could provide the ring cheaper. That said I have purchased 5 items from him in varying amounts from thousands to hundreds and each time had a great experience. Highly recommend him and have referred friends and family to him as well. Great business!

What a truly lovely experience!I came to this shop due to the EXCELLENT reviews and was not disappointed in the slightest, even when it turned out that they couldnt help me!My love had gotten me a ring that came from a shop in California, but ordered from Etsy. Unfortunately, my beautiful ring is just a wee bit too big on my quite tiny fingers! I walked in and was immediately greeted by one of their lovely staff members, she stayed with us through our entire brief exchange. She took a look at my ring and heard out my concerns about sizing it down. She took out the right tools to check the sizing on my ring (which actually turned out to be larger than what the seller said we had purchased), then took out simple sizing rings to check the size that I would need. 4 was too tight, 4 1/4 was just right! The ring we had purchased was a bit bigger than the 4 1/2 we thought we were sold. The lovely employee went over their quickly their standard option of about 10-14 business days to resize or a ring, or suggested that if I wanted my ring back sooner that I could pay an additional and small fee to have my ring returned within a few days, to a week. She then took my ring to the back to ask if the resizing could be done for us. She came back only a few moments later and said that shed had some bad news. Due to the plating on parts of my ring, they could not safely resize my ring without potentially damaging the plating. She stated that all in a very simple and very polite manner, and then offered a quick solution. For no charge whatsoever, I was given a clear spiraled ring sizer that she wrapped onto my ring and cut down to size, and voilà! It brought me to a perfect fitting ring. Not a permanent fix, no, but she had also stated that when warmer weather arrives again, the ring may then fit just fine. Overall, thrilled with the kindness and quickness of the entire exchange. I look forward to coming back should I have any further jewelry needs.Thank you!

I purchased a diamond solitaire and ring online and it was 2 ½ sizes too small. I was told by other places that it couldnt be sized up to the size I needed (7). Not only did these folks do it, they did it beautifully and faster than they quoted me. Also reasonably priced.

Always a pleasure to visit Tom and staff at this wonderful family owned store, whether in for jewelry repair, or picking out a special gift or remaking an older piece into something more to my liking. We picked out our wedding bands here and they also recently helped me choose a special silver chain for my husbands 25th anniversary gift! The service is so personalized and no high pressure sales...just not their style at all.

Jewelry on James is absolutely one the best places to look for an engagement ring in the Syracuse area. The whole experience was great from start to finish. The owner Tom really took his time to help me make an informed decision on what diamond and setting to go with. Perhaps, the best part though, was that at no point did I ever feel rushed or pressured into spending more than my budget. I went to a few other places and I felt that they were more interested in only showing me rings that were far outside of my range. In the end, my fiancé loves the ring and Tom gave me a great deal on it to so everything worked out great. I seriously recommend this place.

Today is Valentines Day and I was able to find a nice crucifix at a reasonable price for the wife and I had a gold chain I needed a clasp put on and it worked out great. Very good jewelry store and the people that work there were very courteous friendly and helpful.

Got my wedding set here. They are very nice, and cleaned my rings for free. They fix the ring that keeps breaking on me without a problem! ( about $25 )
