Do not go through these people. They charge $75 to go through them. I had Progressive through Freeway and last month when my payment was due, I paid $209 for my payment. I thought it didnt go through so I called them twice and my bank twice and they both said the payment was received. The next month when I went to make my next payment I was told that my last payment never went through and that my policy was canceled. Not only was it canceled but they did not want to reinstate my policy. They wanted me to open a new policy which required a down payment of over 1 thousand dollars. My monthly premiums had gone up to $440 a month. My problem with freeway is that I paid them an extra $75 to go through them and nobody even thought to call or email me to let me know that my last months payment didnt go through, or that my policy was up for cancellation. So when I went to make my next payment I found out that my insurance had lapsed. And now I cant afford to open a new policy and my monthly premiums have skyrocketed to a rate that I can not afford as a single mother on my own. I think they could have at least tried to contact me to let me know, especially after they charged me extra money to go through them to begin with. Youre better off just going straight through progressive or another insurance provider, because after paying their $75 fee, you will be paying the exact same price to just go through the actual company with no middle man. These people do NOT care about their customers. They care only about making money any way they can. You would think that they would have tried harder to inform me so they could keep me as a customer. But now I am without insurance or registration after just getting all of this taken care of. The worst part is that I called multiple times to make sure that payment went through and they and my bank both verified that it did. So I still do not understand what went wrong, but I am the one that is severely paying for their mistakes. Not professional at all.
