If I could give this negative 5 stars I would, DO NOT TRUST THIS AGENT OR THIS COMPANY! On July 16, I called American Family Insurance to cancel my policy because their rates made my insurance more than my car payment. Customer service said they sent paperwork to Curt to cancel my policy but I guess he failed to put any effort in and do his job because unbeknownst to me my policy was never canceled. So my policy was not prorated at the time. Then I got a notice that American Family was going to take another months worth of insurance payment. I received the notice on 8/7/15 that my payment had been processed. I immediately called Customer Service and they told me there was no way they could stop the automatic withdraw. I explained to them as I had just paid my new insurance premium that my bank account would go negative. They told me they would refund my premium after they had taken it, prorate the refund to include everything from July 16 on, and refund the overdraft fees from my bank. They ended up sending a check to my original address on the policy, not my current address or even the address previous to my current address. Needless to say the check was super late. I called customer service to inquire about the bank fees and was told to fax my bank statement so they could refund me. After faxing my statement as requested, I was told they would not refund my bank fees because it was my job to log in to my online account and remove the automatic payment. This was an account that I figured I no longer had access to because I had requested my policy to be canceled. This company is full of lame employees who lie directly to your face. Do not trust them.
