Decided to get a very short cut after wearing it long for several years. My hair is very fine and longer hair was never really a good look for me. Had very short hair for a very long time and wanted to begin 2021 with a new old look. Met with Kate who was very friendly and helped me decide on a very short cut with some layers. She was very concerned that I was happy with the cut. I was elated to see my new hairstyle and to me it seemed I looked several years younger. So happy with my new look for a new year. Only place I will ever let cut my hair. they do a very good job for a fair price. the service is excellent and friendly. become a regular they will usually remember you and even the hair cut you choose if its the same each time. for a mens hair cut along with a line up the total came to 25$. this may be slightly pricey but the quality far exceeds other places I have been. 3 years and I have never left unhappy.

I got my haircut with Leigha and it was the best haircut Ive ever gotten. Not only did I love the cut, but Leigha helped me figure out what I was really looking for BEFORE she cut my hair. I brought in a picture of what I thought I wanted, and Leigha thankfully explained that it was probably not what I was looking for based on my hair type and lifestyle. She explained what she was doing as she went, and let me make some changes at the end too. She listened to what I was looking for, and gave her professional input, all while maintaining a positive and professional attitude! I recently met Shuping Murphy, and shes my favorite hair stylist so far.Im an Asian guy with medium length, coarse, straight hair. Hair like mine needs to be cut differently than the soft hair westerners have, and most barbers Ive went to have some trouble with my hair.Shuping is really experienced with Asian hair and knows how to make me look good. She also greets me with a smile every time and is very friendly.During my visits, she asks me how much hair I want off, and then I leave the rest mostly up to her; I just let her cut my hair however she thinks would look good for me (because honestly, I dont know exactly what I want). She washes my hair twice -- once before the haircut, and once after -- which is nice because I leave with barely any scraps of hair on me.The price is a little more expensive than Im used to, but shes the only person I trust to cut my hair.If youre looking for a good hairstyle, definitely try going to her!

I just moved to Syracuse last week and this place is absolutely FANTASTIC! The ambiance is stylish, chic, warm, and welcoming; and, so was my hair stylist Krystal !!!!!! She was extremely knowledgeable, enjoyable, friendly, and an utterly perfect genuine soul! As a blonde with thin hair, I am VERY particular about my hair cut and color and I cannot get over how AMAZING of a job Krystal did. She executed what I wanted EFFORTLESSLY all while maintaining a connecting conversation. I truly felt cared for. Also, while I was processing she even took the time to fit my boyfriend in for a hair cut as well. Very accommodating. Needless to say, I will DEFINITELY be returning. I have already claimed this place and Krystal as my go to hair salon and stylist !!

Shuping is the best barber in Syracuse, especially for Chinese students. She is talkative, kind and very patient to listen to you. The most important thing is she is so skillful that she can even recommend some new hair styles that look good on you. You must come and have a try.

I went after reading rave reviews of this place, but I doubt that Ill return there. Shuping convinced me to not get a short haircut. She insisted that medium sized haircut will frame my face better. That said, she proceeded to cut an inch of hair in ten minutes and did not give me any layers in the back as I had asked. She didnt even give me a mirror for me to check my haircut, or I could have pointed out the lack of layers. Back home, my hair looks exactly like it did before I spent 45 bucks for it! If she was in a rush to go home, the store should not show open appointment slots at 6. I think an hour is a decent amount of time for a haircut. Disappointed as I was very excited to find this place.

Ive heard from a lot of people, including Jen, that red fades quickly. So I expected that Id have to touch up my hair fairly frequently. Because Jen is such an expert at hair color, my hair has held its auburn color for months. I dyed my hair in September, and have only gone to Jen to get my hair cut since then.If youre new to dying your hair or are looking for a stylist who really knows what shes doing with hair color, go to Jen!
