Went in with questions not knowing if I was even going to buy anything. They answered and gave honest opinions without trying to up sell me on anything I didnt ask about. I threw out some random request for needed parts and they had what I needed. Parts I didnt expect anyone to carry. A+ experience.

Stopped over at Dave’s to get myself a new Stiihl handheld blower. I’ve been there several other times to buy things and I’ve had no problems .I wasn’t sure which one I wanted but after getting all my questions answered by Mike and Matt is was an easy decision. The SG 86 c it blows and sucks. You can’t go wrong there. Dual purpose. Thanks Mike, Matt and Michelle. I will be back.

I thought a very expensive lawn mower there and they did not stand behind their product. I took there for maintenance for 3 years after I bought it and it just got worse and worse. Im done with them. PS - I still have the lawn more (3 years later), maintained by someone else, and its working great now.

This review is not even worth a one star. If you want to get RIPPED OFF, this is a place for you.They were too eager to pick up our generator for service, needless to say after over a month, it came back with exactly same problem and we were charged .It was difficult to get a hold of anyone, no one picked up the phone. When they did answer, we were told they were waiting for a part. In reality, there was no part and certainly it was NOT FIXED! We never got any receipt for our payment.We tried to call to speak to manager Steve, no one answer nor Steve is ever there.Please consider yourselves warned!

Just want to say that I purchased a new 2020 Husqvarna lawn tractor from them yesterday 6/15/2020 and what a Pleasant purchase. Got a real good deal and the sales girl and the mechanic real nice people and both more than helpful...people you need to check them out for any of your power equipment needs. You cant beat it sales, parts, accessories and if you need repairs all in one place.

Dropped off a wood splitter way back when... over 3 months of calling or stopping in, it was never repaired. Customer service is whale poop. Please do not purchase or bring repairs here. There is no customer service. Lucky if you even get a call back. I will Never return here

The nice kind lady at the desk Michelle? helped me out amid all of this pandemic... there was a bunch of people in the store milling around but Michelle was sturdy even though their was mounting pressure on her to go quicker. My wife even called the store to tell her I had left my cell phone at home and she relayed the message. Thanks!!

Extremely slow service. It took over 3 weeks to get my riding lawnmower back. They dont answer phone calls. The one time I actually got through to service, the guy didnt care what I had to say, didnt do what I asked, actually did extra services that ran up my bill, and to top it off, when I checked the oil after it was dropped off at my house, the oil was low!! I told him I didnt want to spend more than a few hundred, and if it was going to go over then call me. They never called of course and my bill is $500. They also just dropped it off without any warning to me. No calls, texts, email, nothing. They have the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. They used to be an excellent business. Those days are gone.

Doesnt even deserve ONE STAR - a bunch of unprofessional rip offs who dont return your call while they hold your equipment for months. They never even have intentions of repairing it. They charge you to pick up the lawnmower and drop it off while never servicing it. WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We even sent authorities there and they too were treated the same. This business just doesnt care>

Extremely disappointed with Daves Lawnmower Service. Ive had my riding lawnmower serviced here a couple of times with no issue, however this last spring they took my lawnmower and kept it for an extended period of time.Unfortunately thats not the reason for the 1-star review. When the lawnmower was returned it was just left outside my house with no notice and the lawnmower had a considerable amount of rust on it. The machines key was also so rusted that I couldnt get it out of the ignition. So I called and complained and was told someone would contact me to discuss.Fast forward a few months, I receive a bill from Daves for the full amount for the service. I call again to complain and Im told theyll send me a new key for the one they ruined and theyll review the bill again. Fast forward another 2 weeks and I receive an envelope with a key and an invoice for the full amount again.Could not be more disappointed in how they handled this debacle. My lawnmower has since been experiencing issues with starting and other electrical issues that I never experienced before. I will reluctantly be remitting this payment, but wont be going back anymore.

Dropped off a John Deere snowblower and asked if they can handle performing a routine service along with a performance concern. Was told no problem. 5 months later I picked it up as it never was even touched! To make things worse the machine was kept outside so it was all rusty which wasn’t appreciated or told about.They don’t seem to care. Dropped the machine off at the John Deere dealership and it was done in 2 weeks. Shame on me for thinking they could handle this.

Awful business ethic. Don the salesman only cares about getting your $$. Called and talked to him twice confirming what I wanted. Totally drop the ball on the day of pick up, where was he... nowhere to be found. He doesnt work Saturdays. Total disregard for customer service. Parts and mechanics are no better. It seems that the staff have never been trained and if they have, its to get one over on you. Try to return something because of a defect, your out of luck. No returns; even though their website says you have 30 days. Filling a complaint with the BBB and AG. This place shouldnt be in business.

Love the new location in Tiverton and the service has seemed to be exceptionally faster than years ago. My tractor was ready only 3 days after dropping it off compared to 4 weeks 2 years ago. Great customer service and have everything I need when I need it. Id recommend them!

Terrible I would not do business with them ever again. Paid 500.00 for a chainsaw used it one time it broke and they would not fix it they said it was for parts now. Got second opinion and it got fixed runs like new now

I have had very good experiences with the Swansea and Tiverton locations. These guys may not be perfect but they are very good at what they do. I am surprised to see the number of negative comments. I figure that the satisfied customers dont tend to write in. I am one who did.

Brought them the exact chain for my chainsaw that needed to be replaced and salesperson used it to pick out the replacement needed. When I got home, i realized the replacement was actually incorrect chain so I had to go back for the correct one. I was then charged a $5 restocking fee per chain for the privilege of letting them provide me with the wrong chain WHEN THEY HAD MY ACTUAL CORRECT CHAIN IN THEIR HAND AND THEY MESSED UP. Do not recommend this location of Daves

They almost always have the parts I need in stock. Between the service departments assistance and the parts on hand they have been great.I heard some bad reviews on their repair work quality so I was a little skeptical, but their service department has always been exceptionally helpful to me. My specific experiences with them have been with walker lawn mowers and Stihl chainsaw parts. Pricing has been competitive on the parts Ive bought, close enough to online pricing that it was never worth waiting to get the parts from an online source.The guys out front in parts may seem standoff-ish at first but theyre always helpful, and Ive learned it helps to talk about Golf ;)

I have my zero turn lawnmower for service over a month ago, it is under warranty and all they have to do is order parts and fix it, they did not do anything. They dont answer their phone calls and they dont treat you decently when youre there, they are in a steep decline if they were any good in the past. terrible business!, Avoid the place if at all possible.

After countless attempts to get through to someone on the phone I was finally able to make an appointment for them to pick up my snowblower for a tune up. We scheduled an appointment for later that week and they never came and haven’t returned any of my phone calls. Do business elsewhere.

I have bought many tools here over the years - Chain saws, snowblower, weed whacker, gas hedge trimmer, tiller, etc.All have worked well and I have had all service done at Daves - timely and they get it right.Also have ordered part through them, have my chains sharpened, and get advice.Good place

Initially nice guys. Then my snowblower stopped working and they picked it up and repaired it. Said it needed a new belt. I got it home and it didnt work. Did not get anymore snow that year. Next fall I took it back to have them look at it and told them the belt was new and that the problem was the front gear box. The service order even said it. They returned the blower saying it was the belt. Its clearly not the belt as the inner stage works fine (belt driven) and the auger stage does not spin (gear box). I brought this to their attention via store visit and a follow up email....no response. Very dissapointing.

This place has a professional look to it, but thats about it. The service could not be any worse.The mechanic sucks. He just keeps replacing parts until something works and charges you for it. A simple repair took 8 weeks and my unit still not working properly. Finally when I got it back I took it to another local shop and had to pay him to fix this morons work.Im also not impressed with Stihl brand they carry. I also own Shindaiwa and Redmax equipment, both are much better.But the service here is the worst. STAY AWAY!

Brought my Mantis Rototiller there a month ago. Never heard from them. Call them on 5-19-17. they said they would get back to me . That they were very busy with customers. I waited until 2:19 in the afternoon. Got a voice mail. I left a message stating that if they had not worked on the Rototiller then they were not to touch it and that I would be in on Mon. to pick it up. I should have listened to other people that did not have a good experience with this co. Went back on Monday 5/22/17 just before lunch and they did not have my Rototiller there. They claimed that they did not know when it was going to be brought to the Swansea Store. Said that they would contact me. Never heard from them. First of all I had no idea that my rototiller was going to go to the Tiverton location. I was under the impression that it was going to be worked on at the Swansea location. It is Tuesday Morning the twenty-third of May and I guess I will have to go over there again .
