Im tired of being held hostage by Stay to Play systems for our children. The rooms are always more expensive and they refuse your child playing rights if you dont book through them. In my instance I pay for my child to compete, I pay to watch, and Im forced to pay for hotels not my choice to sleep in. When did sports and competion become money schemes and stop being about the kids? This company should be ashamed of themselves. I just got into a room booked through them, I have the wrong room and its way over priced. I spoke with manager at the Omni and was told Im not their client, Housing Connection is. Does anyone see a problem woth this. I PAID FOR THIS ROOM!!!! IM THE CLIENT!!!! OH AND DID I MENTION I HAD TO PREOAY FOR THE ENITRE ROOM AND COULD NOT GET MY MONEY BACK FOR ANY REASON! NO OTHER RESERVATION HAS PREPAY NO CANCEL EVER POLICIES.

This company was handling room reservation for an event i have regularly attended for over 15 years for the first time this year. Normally rooms for this event are handled via the booking systems of the multitude of hotels involved.This is the first year i was unable to get a room for this event.The system used by Connections Housing did not hold the room. it asked for absurd amounts of information that the hotel has never asked for before, nor even actually needed. upon choosing a room, the system used by Connections asked me for names and email address for everyone in the room, and several other pieces of information i have simply never been asked for, nor had prepared for. By the time i had that information filled out for both room, the system had timed out, let the rooms go, and the hotel was completely booked. attempts made by myself and others who were left in the same situation were met with indifference from the Connection Housing staff, the staff also making claims the hotels needed the extraneous information despite the representatives from the hotels stating otherwise when asked about the claims. Sadly, due to some sort of agreement, rooms for the event were unable to be booked through any other method than the Connections system.I do not know if Connections might work for a smaller scale event, but i can assure you that for a larger scale event involving millions of dollars, multiple hotels, and tens of thousands of attendees, they are complete failures. They will happily lie to your attendees in an attempt to cover their own backs. If you choose to use them for a large event i would all but guarantee youll spend a lot of time apologizing to your events attendees.
