I cannot recommend this alteration shop and sweet Jamie enough!My wedding dress was ruined by another alteration shop in Peachtree Corners, and I went running to Jamie at the suggestion of my maid of honor. Jamie saw me in my dress and said it was damaged beyond repair - the Monday of my wedding week!! Ahh!!With a lucky turn of events, we were able to go to the same bridal shop that I bought my original dress from that same Monday and bought a new dress. We brought it to Jamie and she had me back into the shop on Tuesday morning and evening for fittings. By Wednesday night my dress was almost completed. By Thursday at 10am - Jamie had completed her miracle operation - leaving me just enough time to pack up and head out of town for my Chattanooga wedding.Jamie - I’ve told you many times but THANK YOU! Your kindness, your expertise and your dedication to customer service is unrivaled. Thank you for everything you did to make sure I had a beautiful dress to wear on my wedding day. It was absolutely perfect :)We will only be using A+ alterations moving forward - and you should too!

I am a huge fan of this alternations business, and would not even think about going elsewhere. I love the owner Jamie, who is not only fantastic, personable, but also extremely honest. I have come in at times for alternations that she told me she wouldnt recommend making, because the outfit wasnt worth the cost of the changes that could be made. I love that about her. Shes actually willing to not make money over making me look good or saving me from spending costly changes to an outfit that really isnt worth it. She has also helped me recently with a pair of pants I desperately needed steamed. My dry cleaners couldnt get it done same day, but she handled it in probably a half hour or less. And she didnt even feel she could charge me for it. She has also helped tailor my boyfriends pants, and made several alterations for me as well. Im so grateful to have her here. Her bubbly personality, tailoring skills, and honesty would never make me think of going anywhere else. Thank you so much for your kind, professional, and prompt service always! We appreciate you!

Oh my gosh - she is wonderful! I purchased a dress that was 3 sizes too small for my elopement (a girl can dream, right?) And she was able to redesign the back of the dress so that it fit me beautifully. The corset looks like it came on the original dress. Her pricing is also fair for the amount of time and work she puts into the garment. I really love how kind she was and how much knowledge she had on alterations. Wow!

I got married in July 2020 and wasn’t even sure if it was going to happen due to covid restrictions so as soon as I found out I could have it, I needed to get my wedding dress altered and didn’t have much time to get it done. My dress had a lot of detail to it and I had lost weight so it was going to take a miracle! I am so thankful for A Plus Alterations, she got it done perfectly and on time! I got my wedding dress altered here and had an amazing experience. I bought my dress off the rack at a local shop and it had a lot of issues in the way it was made. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and insightful. With each possible adjustment being pinned together there was clear communication. Even after seeing the quote (it is a wedding dress after all), I knew I had picked the right alterations place. What she did with my dress: took out plastic boning, brought the waistline up, took in the waist, took in the sides of the chest, did those adjustments with 4 layers of material.When it came time to come back for my dress, she made sure to double check the fit. The dress was ready on the pickup date. Again, on the second visit, I was still blown away by the level of professionalism. I can see myself coming back in the future!

Beyond incredible customer service! My family and I have used them for years and have always been happy. Recently though, they saved me with a fashion emergency and I will be forever thankful for their generosity and compassion to their customers! A few days before my best friends wedding, I tried on my bridesmaids dress which had been altered by the department store I purchased it from. To my horror I realized that it was now ill fitted and I was leaving the next day for the wedding! Fantastic alterations. Customer service is top notch. They made sure they clearly understood what fit I was looking for and made valuable suggestions to ensure I was happy with the final product. I rarely have clothes altered, but they made me feel very comfortable and walked me through the process and suggestions. Guiding questions to make sure Id thought of each aspect of the fit. They also did me a huge favor by rushing alterations for a last minute important business trip even though they had no obligation to rush it. The final results were flawless and exactly what I wanted. I will not be taking my clothes anywhere else.

Take your most special clothing here!!! I came in with a pair of leather pants I was so afraid to alter and their team tailored them PERFECTLY, and leather is not easy! I hesitated on the first round of alterations and I insisted to pay for further work but she wouldn’t take it, I was so grateful. She wanted me to be happy and satisfied above all else. I was referred to this tailor by a stranger in a thrift store, you know a place is good when it’s word of mouth! I’m so glad I trusted A Plus Alterarions. Outstanding work and customer service. 3 months into a Gsleeve and 60lbs lost my shirts didnt fit. My crazy self realizes I have nothing good to wear to my retreat to Miami. I fly out in the morning and this place rushed ordered my alterations and stayed late to complete them and the were absolutely perfect. My family and I have been coming to A + Alterations ever since I can remember. This review is not about the quality of their work, its about their poor customer service skills. I walked in the door to have 3 dresses and 20 pair of shorts altered. Yes they already had customers but they didnt acknowledge me in any type of way. I waited at least 15 minutes for the worker to finish with the customer she was assisting just for her to acknowledge the next customer who just walked straight through the door without waiting a minute. My money is just as good as any other person money and i refuse to support a company who dont know how to treat their customers.

The dress I wanted for my beach wedding cost over $5,000. Out of my price range. I was able to find a quality dress that shared the beading detail and tulle fabric that I loved. One thing that it lacked was the cut and style that I wanted.... a plunging neck line and super low cut back. I came to A+ Alterations based on other reviews and I was not disappointed!! My dress involved detailed work because of the beading and it was done perfectly! It was completed within a couple weeks and it was absolutely perfect, the fit was perfect, the sewing perfect! No one would ever know it was an altered dress, or that I didnt spend thousands on it. Thank you for helping to create my dream dress!!! I recommend anyone to come here... the best customer service Ive experienced in a while and unbelievably talented work.

Jamie and Holly are alterations GENIUSES! They completely reconstructed the middle section of my dress when I tried it on THIS MORNING to discover it would not close all the way! My wedding is in just two days and we had no idea what to do! I came to them in tears today and told them the situation, and not only did they fix the issue in a matter of HOURS, they made it look as if the dress was tailor made to look that way!!! You would never be able to tell there was an issue! They were amazing people and saved my wedding day! My only regret was not using them from the start! Thank you ladies, you have made me a very happy bride!

My wife went here to get a simple dress altered. She asked her for an average price of reducing length but would not be provided with any estimates. She went to the store and was asked to wear the dress at which point the lady goes it will be $50 dollars to reduce . It was one single layer and had to be shortened by 2 inches almost. The lady said it doesn’t matter if I take off 2 inches or 4 inches it’s the same price and an additional $10 to deliver in 4 days otherwise delivery was 8 days. My wife said that’s a lot and decided to leave at which point the lady put up an attitude and goes “I can’t charge you $10 for this” . Anyways, she found another alteration within 1 mile and they charged $28 for alteration and delivered in 3 days on a normal schedule. Never returning to A plus because of the rude lady and their ridiculous charges that rip people off.Update: this lady is a liar. She told me $60 with delivery on Monday and I went in on tuesday. Otherwise she said she can do $50 with delivery next week Thursday. Stop lying seriously. And you never ever mentioned ready in 3 days without extra charge. Wow, can’t believe she would make up all this stuff up. Anyways, the truth remains you are pretty rude and charging ridiculous amounts to customers . I will make sure I tell this to everyone in my network also.

Simply amazing! I needed two suits and dress pants altered and Jamie just did exceptional work. I never had luck with suits fitting perfectly, but after going to her I wouldn’t go anywhere else. There are many places that just get by with the minimum amount of work, but Jamie’s attention to detail and care for her customers is something you simply can’t find at your run of the mill alterations place. Five big stars all the way and I recommend her for all your alteration needs!

Got my pants altered/hemmed and could not be any happier. Good quality and wonderful customer service. Pricing is reasonable, $10 for mens slacks and $13 for jeans. Owner and staff were very friendly and will continue to receive my business and recommendation. Very honest when I asked advise on where to get my wifes wedding dress cleaned in area. Wouldnt pint me to a nearby location that was over priced and recommended what I needed to look for. Honesty is a huge plus is my book.

I live in Alaska and got married in Cumming GA. I had alterations done on my wedding dress in Alaska but I was not happy with the results, my dress didnt fit well and looked silly. I flew into Atlanta a week before the wedding and was worried my dress wouldnt fit right. I called A Plus Alterations and explained my situation. She had me bring in my dress Monday, had me try it on and figured out exactly what to do to fix it! It was done by Thursday :) Such a wonderful, talented woman! I was SO happy with my experience here this past month getting a bridesmaids dress altered for my brothers wedding. I brought it in only a month before, and she had me come back in 2-3 times to make sure it was just right and alter accordingly. She had to end up remaking the dress because of the size I bought being huge, but it looked PERFECT (I used to work as a bridal stylist on wedding dresses so I know!) Great customer service and timeliness. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and know I have my go to reliable alterations place I dont have to guess about for important occasions.

I am tall guy (63) with athletic build so getting clothes to fit me can be an issues. I love coming here because they always get it right. The customer service is amazing and they actually care about their customers. If you are in the area and dont come here, youre doing yourself a disservice!

Jamie is a master tailor. From the simple list of tailoring needs to the most complex. This past Saturday, I was in getting a business dress altered. Super simple, with a lining but whatever It just so happens that I was in the store as the person below was getting her bridesmaid dress hemmed. It was a flowing gown that had at least 10 yards of material all the way around. Not just very flowing 10 yards of him, but three full layers of it. 30 yards of hemming! I totally understand why she didnt want to do it herself! I sat patiently and waited my turn while Jamie spent a long time with this customer chalking out her dress. At the end the customer also had a problem with the way the dress was laying on the top and Jamie advised her to get it pressed and that would take out the weird crease (that probably happen sometime during shipping). At that point, while I am sitting on the couch watching, Jamie told her the price of hemming to which the young girl was shocked. I get it. The bridesmaids dress was not the best quality and it probably was more than the dress. But for 30 yards a hemming, there is a lot of labor. So even though Jamie had just been 20 minutes marking the dress to be hemmed, the young girl decided to take the dress elsewhere. I dont think people who are not real customers should be able to write a review. Isnt it fun when you hear the rest of the story?

This review is long overdue. Jamie and Holly have been working with our family for 18 months and their work is simply outstanding. We have altered shirts, dresses, suits, curtains, and more.Jamie has an eye for fit and fashion. I dont have to tell her what I want, she can look at a fit and adjust to perfection. This is the level of perfection I look for in a tailor, and you can definitely find it here. I get compliments on my suits daily, and I always say its not the brand or the fabric, its the fit from the tailor. I bought one suit off e-Bay with an exceptional Loro Piana fabric. The suit was the right size in the shoulders, but I was swimming in the jacket and the pants otherwise. After alterations, the suit looks like a custom suit, draws many compliments, and fits as well or better than expensive bespoke suits I own. Amazing.Highly recommend. I have worked with many, but have never worked with better. Bring your business here. You will be more than satisfied.

This place has done several alterations fo me in the past. Hemming mens pants as well as fitting a couple of skirts. The also did a great job on my daughters ball gown prom dress when we removed the train so that it was just to the floor all the way around. The only draw back is that since 2017 they only take cash or check....NO debit or credit cards.

Jamie worked with my mom, my sister and I for our wedding dress needs. She added a bustle to my wedding dress, and altered my sisters bridesmaids dress as well as helped with my mothers dress. There is NO ONE else I will ever go to for alterations again. She is an absolute rockstar. She spent a lot of time with me to figure out what kind of bustle I need for my dress and it looked absolutely perfect. My dress had a lot of material and so she added color coordinating strings to their buttons so my sister knew which string goes to which button (since I had 14 of them haha). None of that was visible though. She did a perfect job on my sisters dress that needed some adjustments.All of this was at a very reasonable cost and was much cheaper than going through the wedding dress store to get alterations. Aside from the perfect alterations all the way around, Jamie and her crew are absolutely wonderful people.

A plus alterations were absolutely the best!! I can in with a horrible sewing job from another alterations company and I came in to a plus and they did an amazing job of doing it right !!! They are the best. I 100% recommend you go to them !mbecause I know I will for everything! Thank you so much for saving my prom A plus alterations !!

I recently bought a new suit and looked all over for a tailor. I am very particular about my clothing as suits are not cheap. After browsing Yelp and Google I saw the review about A Plus. Partially because this place is 45 minutes away from where I live, I was hesitant, but decided to give it a shot.First off, it is very difficult to find a true old-school tailor for mens clothing. Many of todays alterations shops cater primarily to the female crowd (just a far larger market, I suppose). I was impressed that A Plus actually knew how a mans suit is supposed to fit.I highly recommend this place to any man wishing to make their suits or blazers fit how they were intended. I have a very awkward athletic build along with a short stature and she was able to make my suit fit perfectly. Im glad I made the trip. I will continue to use A Plus in the future for any of my alterations.

I went to get a bridesmaid dress hemmed to take just an inch or so off the bottom. She told me it would cost $125. I went a mile up the street where they charged less than half and were also able to steam the dress (she could not). In my opinion, way way overpriced and disappointing.Also, it’s very presumptuous to ASSUME your service is better than another’s. (In reference to below).

Excellent service and work! Had my daughters formal dress altered. It was a difficult design, with many layers and beading, but they made easy work of it.

This is one of the best alterations places in Alpharetta! I needed a bridesmaid dress taken in 2.5 (which is extremely hard to do) and the wedding was 4 days away! Not only did Jamie get the dress to fit but she did it in 2 days!! Thats unheard of! I would recommend A+ alterations to anyways in search of an alterations place and I will most definitely be going back to her on a regular basis now! They really live up to their name!!! A+++

Amazing experience! She shortened my bridesmaid dress, took it in on the sides, and added cups to the top of the dress that made it flattering!! Would recommend this place to anyone!

The owner is very friendly and gave sound recommendations. The price is very fair and she even waved one of the alteration fees because I had so many things done to one of the garments. Overall amazing service and I would definitely recommend them to a friend!

She stopped what she was doing to put new buttons on my sport coat I needed for an interview only hours away, because Im an idiot and didnt know the button had fallen off in the suit bag at home. Thank you so much for helping me in a pinch!

I was hesitant to try another alteration shop after a ruined dress. Jamie repaired the dress and it looked like I just bought it off of the rack! Ive been bringing clothes to get ever since. She is experienced and such a sweetheart.

First off mind you I took my dress to A Plus Alterations on Tuesday the 2nd of Oct. And needed my bridesmaid dress finished by Friday the 5th of Oct. Within 3 days...I had the absolutely BEST experience with A Plus Alterations. I first emailed Jamie(I believe thats her name if i remembered correctly :) while in England to let her know about my dress and schedule situation. She quickly replied back and asked me if i could stop by her shop as soon as possible once my flight landed in Georgia to start the working process on my dress. I wasnt able to make it the day we landed but first thing Tuesday Morning me and my husband drove about 1 hour to get there. Once i got there she was very nice, professional, open and welcoming and had me try on my dress. She described to me in details the things that will need to be done to my dress and that she would try her best to have my dress ready in such short notice. Friday afternoon the day of my cousin wedding i rushed back to the shop to pick up my dress, I tried my dress on it was still a little tight. Within 20mins another lovely lady let out a few more inches of my dress. I tried it on again and it fit like a charm. Thank you so much A Plus Alterations for everything ;)

I recently got into dressing well and was in search of a great tailor who knew what they were talking about. I was fearful of a great tailor but doesnt understand fashion / how certain clothes SHOULD fit. I tested her out by asking her opinion on what needed to be altered on my blazer and she was dead on. She would tell me if it looked bad on me / return it or what could be done if it looked good.Ill show up with jeans, chinos, blazers whatever. She knows exactly how they should fit for each style of clothes. She suggests tapers where needed and will give you your options for pricing.Does an incredible job with a quick turnaround, friendly as can be, and so incredible knowledgeable. I found the perfect tailor. I live about 15-20 mins away but it is worth every bit of the drive.

Have used A Plus since moving to the area two years ago. Shop does an excellent job with everything I bring in including dresses, maxi skirts, jeans, and pants. Pricing is fair and job is done within a day or two! Couldnt ask for better service!

OMG, what can I say, this is the best alteration shop ever. I went to get measured for a dress and the customer service was impeccable. I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone that lives in Johns Creek Alpharetta of metro Atlanta. Jamie is the best!!!

Jamie is a life saver! My mom tried on her jumpsuit for my sisters rehearsal dinner one day before the event...she had it altered at another place and they did a horrible job--almost unwearable. We were desperate for someone to salvage it in less than 24 hours. Jamie saved the day! She was so calm, confident, efficient, and did such a wonderful job. I can not say enough wonderful things about Jaime and A+ Alterations. I found out last week that a young lady had asked my son to prom which was only 4 days away!! I rushed out on Thursday and purchased a suit at Dillards. The suit looked okay, but it was obvious that there were sections of it that were too big for my sons lean frame!! In comes Jaime to the rescue!!! She got the suit on Friday at 3:30pm and by noon on Saturday (the next day!!) she had worked a miracle!!! My son (and his date) looked like a million bucks at the prom Saturday night!! Thank you, Jaime.
