Dr Michelle is the best. She doesn’t scare me into thinking my dog needs urgent treatment all the time and doesn’t make me feel like a bad pet parent. Highly recommend!
Everyone at Arroyo does an amazing job, from the front desk staff, to the technicians, and of course, Dr. Michelle. I think our animals secretly love going there, because more often than not, within hours of returning home after a visit, they seem to be feeling better and back to their normal selves. Are they faking illness just to visit the amazing staff at Arroyo? Only they know, and they aren’t talking.
All the vets and technicians genuinely care about my dogs, and are focused and present during appointments with me and my pets. Not to mention, everyone is very nice!I would highly recommend Arroyo.
We have been taking our cats to Arroyo for well over 30 years and have loved their care, and knowledge and thoroughness. Everyone is professional and very courteous. Thanks to all the staff!!
This place is great. I needed an AFFORDABLE vet close to home and have morning office hours. Toshi, my Silky Terrier, ripped his claw somehow on Wednesday morning and was bleeding and limping. Found this vet via research on Goolge. Called and got a next day appointment at 10:30am. Vet was profession, clear in explaining the close of action for Toshi, took her time in cutting of his claw, very painful, gave him some doggy morphine and did a superior bandage job. Toshi did not try to remove it.My bill on first visit was $195. and second was $50. Not bad! The place is a little hard to find one when stressed.
Arroyo has been my primary vet for over 15 years. The care provided has always exceeded expectations. Some of my pets have had complicated health issues and Dr. Michelle (prior to her Dr. Paul) were with me every step of the way to determine the best treatment plan. I would strongly recommend Arroyo Animal Clinic!
Had to take my cat Mabel in, not eating. Arranged a prompt appointment with Arroyo. They provided medication and instructions and, the vet treating Mabel, Dr. Michelle, called me after a couple of days to check in and see how things. Very professional - and certainly clear how much she cares about her furry patients like Mabel.
Dr. Michelle and the team are kind and compassionate providers. Brady loves to see them and becomes excited when we pull into the driveway even when not feeling his best. The canine flu hit poor Brady hard; initially, we went to an emergency hospital outside of the clinic business hours. He was initially diagnosed with kennel cough when we did not see improvement, I called Arroyo, and they scheduled us in for an appointment that day. Dr. Michelle diagnosed Brady condition quickly and prescribed antibiotics. Within 24 hours we saw a vast improvement. The follow-up and communication since have been phenomenal. Both Dr. Michelle and staff have called to check in every couple of days. We appreciate the personal and human connection we have with Arroyo Clinic. As for Brady has that glow in his eyes and ready to chase squirrels. Thank you, Dr. Michelle, for all you do and continue to do for him. Your passion for animals comes through; we are grateful to have you as our Veterinarian.
This is the best cat clinic period. We have two cats, they dont work well with strangers, let alone visiting vets. However, Michelle and her staff is patient. We have been given pills before the visit, hopefully it will make our cats more relaxing.
Awesome team. The cat is shy and they made her comfortable.
Ive been a customer for over 4 years and the staff at Arroyo Animal Clinic are always responsive, caring, and professional. They never disappoint. Thanks for taking such great care of our pets.
We love Dr Michele. We have been taking our Golden Retriever to her for 10 years now. Our Golden, Cody Bear, actually gets all excited when we pull up. Everyone is so sweet & affectionate. Dr Michelle has taken excellent care of him & all his doggy needs. We now added a German Shepard to our family & he too is in Dr Michelle’s wonderful care. We would recommend Arroyo Animal Clinic & Dr Michele to all our family & friends.
My first experience was GREAT! Lots of things out of the ordinary have to happen since our appointment was during a Shelter in Place order. I stayed in the car while front desk staff came out to get information and take our sweet pup from the car. The vet called during the exam to discuss what would have taken place in the office and had good things to say about how well behaved our pup was and how healthy he is - very validating and reassuring. I look forward to posting more positive comments as we have finally found a clinic that is interested in the best for our pet, not up-selling.
We started taking our older, large dog here earlier this year and have been very happy -- would highly recommend. Easy to make an appointment, helpful staff, knowledgeable and kind veterinarians, and good prices for the area.
Sam has been a patient for years and she has gotten the best care ever from every day care to a very serious surgery. I wouldnt take her any where else.
We have been going to Arroyo for over 28 years and have referred several others there. Theyre professional expertise is excellent and up to date with the latest science. We especially appreciate their guidance and care during the difficult situations a pet-parent faces. Every staff member at the clinic takes their job seriously and truly cares about the animal and the owner. We are so thankful for their services. J. Hall, Sunnyvale
I have used 4-5 Vet Clinics for my dog and Arroyo Animal Clinic is the best by far. Nice and knowledgeable staff and very professional. The vet is amazing! Only recommend what my dog really needed (not like other clinics that recommended unnecessary, tooth and ear cleaning, unnecessary vaccines, etc.). Michelle also took the time to explain everything and answer any questions / concerns I had.
Ok, updating my review. Dr. Michelle and staff are now taking care of my Bella and Jackie again so I am very happy and feel very safe about the care that they are receiving. You know how you find a doctor that you like going to and that is your doctor that you like the most or that there is a clinic that you prefer? Thats Arroyo for me. They have been taking care of our dogs for years, even the ones that we had to have put down. Dr. Michelle and all the staff, we love you all with all our hearts and that includes Bella and Jackie (even though that may get a bit scared to come to the clinic).
The doctor fixed our cats dislocated toe by herself, and made this all terrible incident an almost pleasant experience. They really care and called the next day to make sure everything was fine.
Straight through process, high level of attention and care, and steady follow up!
I have gone here for 10+ years. They are kind and gentle with the pets. They are realistic in offering all of the options. Prices are reasonable and available up front. So glad this clinic is there.
We took our dog here for the first time recently and they were amazing. My pup has a history of hating the vet and I expressed my concerns and not only did the whole team take my concerns seriously, but they also did everything in their power to make the experience positive for him! It was really unbelievable. The Vet spent an hour with us just working on making both of us feel comfortable and cared for. I am so happy we found the Arroyo Animal Clinic!
I had the pleasure of being given a kitty three weeks old that fit in the palm of my hand I said youre no bigger than a Minnette, and that became her name. I bottle-fed this Kitty and took very good care of her for her 11 years on this planet. Unfortunately she developed a brain tumor and I had to put her down. Arroyo Animal clinic gave her the best care possible. Dr Amani and the staff took very good care of her. I couldnt have asked for a better group of people to care for her. At that point I had a void in my heart that didnt seem to want to heal. I came across this cute little guy that I fell in love with. I made an appointment for him to see Dr Michelle four days after having him. With covid-19 youre not allowed to go in with your animals but with the care that my Minnette got I had no problems letting him go to theyre capable hands. They are the kindest most conscientious group of people in the medical field that I have ever come across. I dont give five stars because I dont think anybody walks on water but these fine people do, if I could Id give them 10 Stars I would. They are simply the Best at what they do! My hats off to you Arroyo Animal clinic.
I spent a long time after moving to the Bay Area to find a clinic I could trust, and this is it! This is a clinic that really cares about your pets and doing whats best for them. When I first brought my nervous border collie mix here, a rescue who was terrified of people, he warmed up to them immediately, because the techs and the vet met him halfway with treats and lots of kindness. He went from having his tail between his legs to not even noticing when they gave him his shots. He loves Dr. Michelle and hams it up for all the vet techs whenever we visit. Dr. Michelle always gets right down on the floor with him and loves to hear funny stories during his checkups, which makes me feel like she cares a lot about getting to know her patients on a deeper level.Whats even more meaningful to me, though, is that when my cat of 14 years unexpectedly passed away due to a heart condition, Dr. Michelle was so empathetic and kind, allowing me as much time as I needed to spend with her. They hadnt known my cat very long at all (she was a new patient), but they clearly felt the loss and were deeply affected by her passing. They helped me handle all the arrangements, and Dr. Michelle answered all my calls when I had questions days after. It made me feel a lot less alone, and I will always appreciate their kindness during that time.If you want a clinic that makes you feel welcome, that knows what theyre doing, and that cares first and foremost about you and your pets, please check this place out. I will never go anywhere else.
The clinic did a wonderful job! Very nice and communicated beautifully. Dr. Gonsolin was thorough, knowledgeable and caring. We will be back. Thank you!
You guys are wonderful. I always have a positive experience. Your staff is thoughtful and caring. I always recommend your clinic!!
This is a great veterinary clinic -- every one of the staff are friendly, professional and kind. I brought my dog in for his annual physical during the shelter-in-place, and appreciate your efforts to keep your staff and customers safe.
We’ve been with Arroyo since we moved to the Bay Area in 2008, and they have treated three of our dogs. The vets and staff have always been kind, compassionate and helpful. They went above and beyond in helping two of our animals at the end of their lives. As long as we have pets, we will use Arroyo’s services.
Excellent experience. Very thorough exam; plus several good suggestions for taking even better care of our 15 year old cat. Definitely a wonderful Animal Clinic! Highly recommend.
We have taken our lab to Arroyo Animal Clinic for 12 years and have always been impressed with their medical skill and the caring attitude of the vets and staff.
We just moved to the area and needed a new vet. We were nervous to bring switch as we loved our last place. We had a great experience! Everyone was very professional and very friendly, glad we found our place for our fur babies!
We love Dr. Michelle and her staff! I have been bringing my pom to Arroyo for years since it was owned by Dr. Paul. I also brought my adopted kitten and foster dog from Korea for their first exam. Dr. M is very thorough, explains well in a friendly and non-pushy / judgemental manner that I experienced at another vet closer to my house (do not recommend Serra). Theyre very gentle and friendly with my animals, using lots of treats and wet food at times to help with shots. It made my foster dogs (dog meat trade survivor) vaccination not even noticeable for her!My pom had his teeth cleaning and extraction here after getting his tooth knocked out. The prices are reasonable compared to other vets for the high quality of care we receive. They are very busy, so do call in advance. For urgent matters, it may be tough to get in sooner, but try first. I wish I had called to see if they could squeeze my pom in sooner when his tooth got knocked out, rather than the poor experience we had with the ER vet closer to my house. I also appreciate that they offer PetDesk, so I can easily keep track of my pets vaccinations when theyre due. I will continue to bring my fur babies to Arroyo!
What can I say? I was referred to Arroyo by a good friend of mine. My regular vet retired and I tried to go to his partner and was not at all impressed with the service. I needed to find the right place for my new dog. The minute I walked in, I felt completely welcomed and the staff was truly amazing! Dr. Megan was just amazing! I told her my concerns around my new dog and she was so good with explaining everything and examining him! The part that completely sold me was that I got a call a few days later checking on him! I hung up the phone and was just simply amazed! I am so happy for this referral! Thank you!
Cannot say enough positive things about Arroyo and Dr. Michelle and staff! Have sent several neighbors there with cats, dogs and the need for 2nd opinions and all have been so thankful for the recommendation. Very honest, reasonable, and definitely not pushy on treatments like many Vets around here.
Arroyo Animal Clinic has cared for 3 of our cats for many years.Although we have another animal hospital only 3 blocks away, we drive the 7 miles to Sunnyvale to be treated st Arroyo,Their office staff is efficient, personable and kind. Their vet techs are wonderful. Our kitties have been seen by both Dr. Meagan & Dr. Michelle. They are both the best. Dr. Meagan did a check up for our 17 year old cat last week. She is so thorough, knowledgeable, & caring. For example she cited information she got from her extensive collaboration with other area vets in recommending a course of treatment for Booster. Thank you Arroyo.
So far Ive only had one introductory visit to Arroyo Animal Clinic for an exam prior to dental cleaning, but my first impressions were favorable. Its a small clinic with a staff that are very personable and will not treat you and your pet like you are just another number. They gave me a thorough tour of the facility, and went the extra mile to make sure that my questions on both medical procedures and costs were thoroughly and accurately answered.
After trying a number of different vets in Sunnyvale, we settled on Arroyo Animal Clinic over 14 years ago to take care of our dogs and we love their excellent service -- especially Dr. Mary! Their office and support staff are super friendly and top notch too. We highly recommend them.
These are wonderful, professional, caring, pet-loving people. Its a small, friendly office. Its not as impersonally clinical as some other vets, and the care they provide is outstanding. Always complete, thorough and up-to-date treatment. Highly recommended!
We love Arroyo Animal Clinic. Everyone is so helpful and always gives you such helpful advice. Dr. Michelle and Dr. Megan are so understanding and answer our email in a timely fashion. Were so happy our friends gave us the name of the best animal clinic around. Maxwell, our dog loves the treats at the end of his visit.
Great animal-loving environment. All the staff from reception to the vet techs to the doctors all obviously love animals and greet them happily on arrival. Our cats check-up and vaccinations went smoothly and pretty quickly. The vets gave good recommendations for medication but didnt try to oversell anything. This clinic also offers pet boarding services for current animal clients which was a huge lifesaver for us during the holiday travel season.
I have used Arroyo Animal Clinic for all of my three pets since 2002 and have always been extremely satisfied with their services. The Veterinarians and Staff are wonderful and so kind to our pets. I definitely would not go anywhere else. Thank you, Arroyo Animal Clinic for your great customer service!
We have been taking our dog here for 3 years since we got her and have been very happy. We also use their boarding services. Everyone is kind and caring and we trust them fully with our little girl! Highly recommend.
Ive started coming to Arroyo with my new pup this year based on a friends referral. After 10+ years with other clinics and never being real impressed. I can not say I am impressed. My experience at Arroyo has been excellent and would highly recommend Arroyo Animal Clinic to anyone that wants a great partner in your pets health.
Ive been taking my cats here since they were kittens. I have one cat who is extremely shy, one who is a little shy, and one who loves anybody who will pet him. The vet and vet techs here are fantastic with all three. They never get impatient with the shy ones. They always let me bring all three cats in for their check-ups together which is both convenient for me and reassuring to the shy cats who like to cuddle with each other when they are nervous. I am happy enough with Arroyo that I recommended them to my mother-in-law for her dogs.
Dr. Paul and his staff are wonderful. My cats are a lot more comfortable here than previous vets weve seen. Dr. Paul explains things to me really well so I can understand whats going on with their health. He also stays up to date on new research and recommended wet food for our overweight cat. It worked great and she is much healthier now!
Arroyo Animal Clinic is so great at answering ALL of our dog questions and concerns. As first time dog owners, we feel silly with all our questions, but Arroyo is so patient and responsive. We feel lucky to have a vet that we feel confident and trusting of!
The Arroyo Animal Clinic has been taking care of my cats and dogs for over 30 years. The care they provide has always been very professional and reasonably priced. I would recommend their service to everyone who really care about their pets.
We love Dr. Michelle. She has been so helpful and has become our vet after Dr. Paul left. Shes not only kind but very knowledgeable, courteous and always takes the time to help us any way she can whenever we have a question about our Murray. Shes even gotten back to us several times on weekends! Shes wonderful and we couldnt ask for a better vet. Dr. Meghan was also very kind and helped do recent procedure on Murray, so thanks to Dr. Meghan also!
Ive only had one visit to Arroyo for a general check up prior to dental cleaning. I was favorably impressed. This is a small clinic and I think the likelihood is that you and your pet will receive personal treatment. I felt that all of the staff took the time to answer all of my questions and show me the facility.
Had a fantastic experience taking my dogs here. The staff were friendly, the vet we saw was knowledgeable and very helpful. When one of my dogs continued to have issues with urination after the visit, the vet was patient and responsive, taking time for several additional conversations by phone as we continued to work out the best treatment. Would recommend :)
We have brought all our dogs to Arroyo for years and years. The doctors are great and so are the staff. My Romeo loves to go see Dr. Michelle and her worker Jon. When my Kenya passed away they knew what to do and helped myself & husband get through the hard time in our life.
Great place, always feel like they care about my fur babies.
Dr. Michelle and staff are caring helpful and accommodating. Dr. Michelle has helped us when having to make a decisions for your pets by explaing the details and choices we have. Dr. Michelle have been promo when replying to emails. Great and positive experience for you and your pets.
Fantastic clinic for your pets. We are long time customer and the quality of work is always amazing.
The staff is so amazing I wish they were my own personal Doctor
The staff are super in every way possible. After three other veterinary clinics Arroyo are simply the best we have seen. Highly recommended!
Great staff, they clearly love animals and understand the pet owners worries. The Vets know their stuff and have been accurate in their diagnosis. I would definitely recommend the Arroyo Animal Clinic.
This is a well-run clinic with friendly and caring staff. They allow you to stay with your dog throughout the visit, avoiding unnecessary caging and stress. Our experience here is much better than at other vets in the area.
Caring doctors and staff. Great kennel care too! I always trust bringing my dog and cat here!
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Being first time pet owners, the vet, technicians, and front desk were all patient with our questions. They make our pup feel welcome and comfortable so that he doesnt feel nervous at all. Would definitely recommend them.
The doctors and staff are wonderful. Caring, competent and compassionate. I have been coming here for over 10 years because Arroyo is the best in the area.
Everyone is great! My dog weirdly gets excited when we get to their parking lot :)
Really great, friendly staff. Doctor walked me through every step and gave an itemized quote for my cats dental work, along with details about the procedure. Overall very very happy with the visit.
Arroyo does such a great job caring for your furbabies. Added to their expertise is a big dose of love for animals. Thank you Arroyo......
The doctors and staff of Arroyo Animal Clinic are wonderful. They are so attentive and very helpful. My puppy loves them!!!
Arroyo is great. They always explain all options and talk about charges up-front so there are no surprises. They are caring and gentle.
This place is great, Dr. Michelle is the best! She takes very good care of my cats.
Arroyo Animal Hospital - Sunnyvale, CA- Dr. MichelleDr Michelle and her staff are excellent and during this crisis time help ease any worries with knowing our pets are in the most excellent hands. Thank you all at Arroyo for all you are doing.Cindy B.- Santa Clara
This place continues to impress--several years after my initial yelp review. Theyre so sympathetic and responsive. They recently prescribed medication for my dog over the phone and mailed it to me. They originally didnt want to prescribe it unless the other potential solutions didnt pan out, but after we realized a prescription was necessary, I was please they didnt make me revisit the office and pay for another appointment. This place really is tops. A++Original Review in May 2009:I am a relatively new pet owner. However, my dog Wilma has already visited 4 different vets and yet I hadnt met one I truly liked until today. She was recently diagnosed and treated for a UTI at a pet hospital in San Francisco where I was saddled with a $400 bill. Further, I was urged to get an ultrasound for Wilma because it was highly likely that she could have complications from a poorly done spay procedure.Thankfully, I gave her the antibiotics and brought her to Arroyo Animal Clinic for a follow up. Dr. Michelle was very kind, thorough and clearly not out to oversell procedures (as I have encountered during each of my prior 3 interactions at different vets). From the outside, the facility appears a bit dated--the inside is very homey and clean. Its not a recently built facility, but perfectly functional for an animal clinic.I called late on a Monday and had no trouble getting an appointment same or next day. When I walked in, the staff were expecting us. Wilma was seen immediately and I felt that I could ask as many questions as needed and spend as long as I wanted. Dr. Michelle explained that she thought an ultrasound was overkill and that my dogs symptoms would be much more severe if it truly was a botched spay. Regardless, she pointed out what steps I should take to monitor the situation and only return if ultimately warranted. Total cost of the visit was $52. Compared to all my prior vet experiences, I was happy to take out my credit card and pay. Further, Dr. Michelle spent a bunch of time with me reviewing pet insurance options. She didnt make an explicit recommendation but pointed out where I should do more research to find the plan that was right for me and my dog.In summary, it was an A++ experience. I will only be taking my dog here from now on!
We have taken our dogs and cats to Arroyo for many years and have always been very impressed by the genuine care and professionalism of the doctors and staff. I am sure they could charge more but they have always been very reasonable.
I loved everyone in the office and they made sure we had the best experience possible, and the care cost way less than I worried it would. I will definitely continue to come here.
Great Vets and wonderful staff. My pets have all been seen at Arroyo Animal Clinic for the past 20 years.
These folks are so knowledgeable and welcoming of pets! They run a great business and provide excellent care.
The doctors are knowledgable and caring. The staff loves all pets and is great with them.
I finally decided to give up the 90minute commute to the vet I had been going to for over 30 years when he retired. My vet recommended Arroyo as it was owned by his former classmate. Unfortunately Dr Umeda had just retired as well. I booked a new pet appointment with Dr Michelle who has been wonderful! My newly adopted cat ended up very sick with numerous problems and had a major meltdown about a month later. I had the unusual opportunity of visiting each vet and technician emergently during those first few unstable months. All the vets were very accessible by email on weekends and off hours when most of my problems were occurring. When things were critical they always got me in asap for a vet or tech appointment and facilitated getting me to the emergency/specialty vet hospital when needed. The vets, techs and front office made my first new vet transition so comforting. My cat is well now but will have chronic problems in the future. I am secure knowing I have Arroyo to count on when things evolve in the future. Professional, knowledgeable and warm fuzzies included every time!
Great service and very helpful been taking my pets there for a few years now Dr.Paul and Dr. Michelle are great with animals and take the time to explain their work and show they have a passion for what they do
Love the personal kindness that they treat the animals with at this location.
Take all four of my fur babies there. good care.
GREAT staff, REAL animal people. They honestly care and are friendly & professional. +++++
They care about your animals and are always nice.
Arroyo Clinic Team is caring, knowledgeable and very kind to us, my deaf and alsmsr blind dog, Dragon. Thank you for being there for us!🐾❤️
Update June 2021: Dr. Michelle has been veterinarian for our 9 year old labrador and 10 year old yorkie since 2011. I can tell that she and other veterinarians have had to adjust to issues caused by the pandemic (i.e., so many new pets, and ensuring safety for humans as well as the pets during visits). In spite of these changes, my pups continue to receive the same high quality of care. Recently, my yorkie had dental work under anesthesia. I received updates from the vet tech, including photos of my pup in recovery. Last month, I scheduled the labrador for a visit. She had become lethargic and experienced weight gain. After some additional blood work and an examination, she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and prescribed thyroid medication. One month later, she is a new dog! She lost 5 lbs and is acting like a puppy! I am grateful that we have an excellent vet who clearly loves the pets. She is super nice and is accessible via email to answer any questions I may have..Previous review:My two canine kiddos have been patients of Dr. Michelle and Dr. Megan since their first puppy visits 6 years ago. I have been impressed by the services there. Most of the staff (including receptionists and techs) have worked there for years, and are familiar with my kiddos, so it feels almost like family. The staff are professional, efficient, and obviously love pets. What I really like most is that the doctors take their time during visits to ask questions about health, socialization, and behavior, and never seem rushed. I totally trust their judgment and decisions regarding my dogs care.
I’ve had two dogs over the last 30 years and both have only been to Arroyo- Dr Echs and Dr Paul Uneda cared for my first pup Shadow; and Dr Paul and Dr Michelle for my second. The first lived 16 years and the second is showing signs of slowing down at 15+ and I’d never have thought of taking both to the good folks at Arroyo! And I suspect if I have another dog they it will be an Arroyo patient as well!
Arroyo Animal Clinic provides expert, caring services to our pet.
Nothing but great things to say. The staff is friendly and courteous and the Doctors really care about the patients and the humans that bring them into the clinic.
Wonderful, qualified and caring staff.
Friendly staff and knowledgeable dr!
Love Dr. Michelle and the Arroyo Team!
Awesome. Great care and patient relations!!!! I trust them 100%
Dr Paul sold the practice and the new veterinarians seem un-experience.
Fabulously Pet Friendly
