Nice people and honest business, from the drivers to the people in the office. Ray the driver was prompt, courteous, and reassuring. It was a totaled car so he was nice enough to keep the gate open for us to recover our belongings when we arrived after him instead of us going to and from the office. John the director of operations gave good advice on my options, insurance procedure, AAA, etc to help me not be misled. That was extra, but they were sincere in helping me decide whats best for my situation.

I was connected with Fortes Bros through AAA for a check on my car battery. I had previously had a replacement battery installed by a separate technician that seemed to experiencing difficulty holding a charge. After some thorough battery tests, Darrel was able to get another replacement installed after determining it was likely a defective battery. Thanks again for the assistance!

You cannot lie to customers who are in distress after a roadside emergency while you have the AAA badge in your truck. I understand COVID new regulations do not allow passengers in the tow truck, but dropping my car at the dealership then leaving it unattended in after promising to wait for me to catch Uber only to get on to next tow job is going to get you one start. I took me hours running around the BMW dealershop to find where my cars was dropped. This behavior is a liability on AAA business and Fortes Bros.

Im so impressed and grateful for the level of service provided by Cody at Fortes Bros. He showed up ahead of schedule with a smile and positive attitude, and clearly loves helping people. He diagnosed and replaced a dead battery, adjusted tire air pressure, and changed a tire where the thread was showing. Cody was extremely kind and professional throughout, answering questions and explaining every step he took.Codys attention to detail was evident through the way he prepped for each task, carefully measured voltage and tire pressure, and took care of his gear. He even took notes on the car specs on the back of his glove, to have the numbers handy when he needed them. And of course, all of this was done while masked and gloved up for the times. It was a pleasure to meet someone who enjoys his job and takes pride in his work. Thanks for providing wonderful customer service - Cody really went above and beyond!

Crooks. Our car was stolen and recovered by the police then taken by Fortes to their yard on a Saturday. In addition to highway robbery with their fees to recover the car that was stolen from us, they attempted to hold the car hostage over the weekend claiming they arent open and theres nobody available to release the car to us, and we could come get it on Monday. Of course, thered be an additional $100/day storage fee. We had to threaten to call the police before they could take the precious time to find someone to benevolently release our car from us. For a fee.I hope they can sleep at night.

When to Safeway this morning and got stuck in the parking lot - car wouldnt start. Called AAA and they stated that itd be about 45 minutes. About 30 minutes later, Anthony #7070 rolls into the parking lot and I flag him down. Appropriately masked and gloved up for the times, he pleasantly greeted me, and I told him what I thought was wrong. He tested the battery and then told me their was good news and bad news. The good news was that my battery was fine, and the bad news was that he was thinking that it may be my starter. As I stood there thinking of what my next move was, he said that, although there were no guarantees, providing a jump would still work. He hooked the charger up, I turned the key, and nothing. It was still struggling to turn over. Just as we were about to give up, we tried one last time and it fired up. Made my way home and plan on having the starter changed ASAP. During the entire process, Anthony was nothing short of awesome. If hes a reflection of your business, I imagine you all do some amazing work!

AAA road service refer me to Fortes, should be there in 10 mins? Lol. 10 mins leads to 1 hour no text or call to let me know driver going to be late. I called AAA back to canceled my service request. Called back to get new service and requested for Ellison’s Towing. My problem been fixed not by Fortes.

Fortes Bros was dispatched by AAA to help with the 12V battery in my Prius. The technician arrived in less than an hour from when I called, and was extremely kind and professional. He gave me an accurate quote up front, explained what he was doing and why at every step of the process, and even cut me a deal on the labor. Im very impressed and would use their service again without any hesitation.

I had an issue with my car battery and put in a roadside assistance claim on AAA. Within 10 minutes, Brett was already at my place and ready to help out. He was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, and even provided a ton of great information on maintaining my car battery properly. Will definitely be looking to use Fortes Bros in the future. Was seriously one of the best customer service experiences Ive had - Brett was great.

AAA arranged for Fortes Bros Towing to pick up my car and tow it to the dealership because my plug-in hybrid car was completely dead. Andrew was the tow truck driver who showed up within the window that AAA gave me, I also received text messages from AAA with a link to track the progress of the towing truck (which I did not use).Andrew was very polite and professional, he hooked up the cables and in a short time the car had sufficient power to be able to move onto the tow truck. Andrew offered to trouble-shoot further but I decided it best to just take to the dealership for the service it needed. AAA covered the towing expense so I did not have to worry about anything else.

Called them out via AAA to replace a dead battery. Lo and behold, after they installed the new battery, the ignition wouldnt start. Instead of giving me the runaround, they comped the towing and repair completely (turns out, a fuse blew during the replacement). All I paid for was the battery. These guys are class acts, all around. I will definitely be coming back here.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Car was in Great America’s parking lot. The tow truck guy actually came earlier than expected which was a good sign until he started driving to the destination. We were waiting at Steven’s Creek Honda for about 30 minutes until our tow truck driver finally brought in our car. We asked why he was late and he blamed it on the traffic, but how does it take him an hour to get there when it only took us 27 minutes?! He was rude and claimed Steven’s Creek Honda was 8 miles away when it was actually just 5. Our Triple AAA membership gives us 5 free miles, and after that it’s 10 dollars for each mile. We coughed up the 30 dollars for him. Worst towing experience ever. If you’re insurance provider chooses them for your next tow STAY AWAY

Our car got towed because of a little known California law against parking in the same spot for > 72 hours. Unfortunately the city gave the job to the worst company possible. This place did not release our car because they they had lost our tags. Since this was their mistake, they said they will waive storage and gate fees for 2 days. And, they’ll call on Monday first thing when they have the tag. What actually happened is they never called. Alsothey were reluctant to take our call or tell us what’s going on with our car. It was their plan to charge fees for a few extra days. After calling multiple times, we showed up to pick up the car. Lo and behold, they wanted to charge us the fees they waived. The desk clerk was beyond rude and did not let me talk to the manager. After a long time, the manager showed up. And guess what, he was equally rude! The only person with a sense of customer service was the driver who handed us the car.All in all, we wasted 6 hours for what should have been an hour at most. Can’t believe they’re still in business!

Between Christmas and New Years we had a cold snap here in Sunnyvale, and when I went to start my car the weekend after the 1st my battery was dead. I called AAA and the driver from Fortes Bros came out to give me a jump. I then ran the car for about an hour to charge up the battery. It died on its own, obviously overheated. This revealed the true problem. A sensor had been shorted and drained the battery in the first instance. This had also damaged the electric fan control system. Hence the overheating, which burst several hoses. I was able to get enough coolant into it when it cooled down to get it restarted and started to drive it to a mechanic. Unfortunately, traffic lights and heavy traffic delayed me and caused further heating problems. I pulled in at a safe place and called for a tow. AAA again, and I was rescued by another Fortes Bros driver. I was towed to the Fortes shop. They did an excellent job, including getting me an Uber taxi home! They took about a week to get all the parts and fix my care, but that was due to the age of the car and extra problems found during the repair. One bit of happy news was that the original estimate was reduced as the timing belt did not need changing after all. I had forgotten that it was changed by another mechanic about 2 years ago, and I hadnt driven it very much in the intervening time. I was pleasantly surprised by the honesty of the Fortes Bros, as that is not the usual impression of auto repair shops in the media. When my car was finished, Fortes Bros sent a driver to my house to pick me up. Then the mechanic came out to the car with the old parts, the dead electric fan and the faulty sensor that started it all. He showed me the problems and told me a complete narrative of the repair process. The receptionist also pointed out the Fortes Bros 24 month warranty on the repairs. All in all, I am completely satisfied with what I consider an honorable business that is a credit to the community!

DONT GO TO THIS PLACE EVEN IF YOURE DESPERATE. THEYRE IRRESPONSIBLE WITH YOUR MONEY AND THE LAW. They will try to charge you for repairs they didnt get your permission for, and on top of that, after you sign the car title over to them, they will not follow legal procedures to transfer ownership so YOU get fined by the DMV for when they park illegally outside their property.

I brought a Toyota dealership estimate for replacement of actuator and arm assemblies for my Toyota Highlander to ask for a repair estimate from Fortes. After 2 days of follow up with the service advisor, I was told that I have to bring in my car in order for them to provide an estimate. This is a totally unsatisfying experience from a 4-5 star rated AAA approved auto repair facility! The dealership estimate provided all the part numbers requiring replacement and all they have to do is to provide their cost estimate based on this information. If their estimate is acceptable, I would have brought in my car for repair, and if they diagnose something different, that would have been a separate matter. Instead I have to have my car towed to them for an estimate? Why would I do that if their estimate is more than the Toyota dealers? I did speak to a senior manager who affirmed the same thing - that they do not provide estimates based on even a reputable dealers assessment of what needs to be done!

My insurance selected thi shop after a accident on my driveway because it is close by, the tow company arrived just 10 minutes after my call. The damage on my Highlander was the driver door, received an estimate, my insurance approved and I aproved the repair. When I was called to pick up my vehicle I noticed that the bumber was loose which it wasn’t when it was taken from home to the shop, talked to the person on the shop and he said that it was for a previous accident, I reiterated him that is wasn’t like that when my car was brought to the shop and it was not repaired, the paint doesn’t match, was not blended, they loose my clicker, and last but not least the final price went up around 1,000 of the original estimate. I do not recomend this shop at all. Working on the legal field to get my car fixed the way it should be.Forgot to mentioned I have pictures to prove my version.
