I was going to sell car and needed to fix the wrench light on the dash board. I carefully drove my car to the shop early in the morning, they were very helpful and fast to find out the problem. They replaced the bad part (the throttle body) in a couple of hours and the charge was reasonable. I can say the shop is honest and reliable. Definitely recommend it!

Female friendly! Ladies, I know cars fairly well and Scott has NEVER over charged/over sold me or treated me like a feeble female, as several other mechanics in the area have. I had my valve cover & gasket replaced the other day. A few days later I was walking out to my car and OH MY GAWD... I noticed he/his crew popped out a huge dent I had in my rear bumper. He said nothing, charged nothing, & even parked my car backwards so I didnt notice when I went to pick it up. This tells me, this was literally out of the kindness of his heart; he didnt even want a thank you. I was shocked, amazed, and extremely happy. That dent was a Xmas eve present left for me while shopping at Safeway 2 years ago. It both magically appeared, and years later, magically disappeared. I am extremely happy with Art Strange Auto Repair and will continue to use them and refer them to people from now on.

An honest mechanic. Need I say more? Well, he also offers a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. The catch there is that hes going to use new parts, as compared to refurbished, so youll pay more for the quality. Hes a friendly guy, and hes up front about pricing. So Id give him a try if youre in the area and need your car looked at.

We recently purchased a low mileage, late model Saturn. The car had some basic deferred maintenance so we found Art Stange online (drawn by its excellent reviews and close proximity to home). We found the initial service attentive and professional. Over the next few months the car exhibited some strange behaviors - oil leaking into coolant most notably. Despite the rather perplexing problem, Scott and team never wavered from their diligence and desire to get to the bottom of the problems and get us back on the road safely. Well, turns out we had purchased a lemon with a likely cracked engine block. Scott stood by his word and found us a replacement engine and installed it for no additional charge. Dont be put off by the looks of this place - it has heart, it has soul, it has a rock solid reputation and excellent mechanics who do good work at fair prices. In their handling of our difficult situation, it is clear they put our satisfaction paramount above all other considerations. As a result they will continue to have our business. Fantastic. They do great work, and are honest.They were the only mechanic I went to for 8 years. then I was forced to move, and for the last 2 years have tried mechanic closer to where I now live and work, and I have had nothing but terrible experiences. mainly most other mechanics do real crappy work, where you must repeatedly go back to re-fix their (expensive and time consuming) mistake. Never had to do this with Art Stange auto repair. Although they are now not at a convenient location for me any longer, I have decided to do whatever it is I have to do, to have them work on my car once again.

They have very good costumer service. I got my oil changed and they made sure to let me know that my tires were getting low which I appreciate because I likely wouldnt have noticed on my own.

Got my struts installed there. Took them to the alignment place to get them aligned afterwards, since Art doesnt do that, and was told that they had been installed very wrong, so they refuse to do the alignment because they are unsafe. Took it back to Art and was told, in an unfriendly way, that the struts were installed correctly, and that the issue was my problem since I bought the parts (brand new in box from major retailer!). I got yet a third opinion and was told that it looks like someone modified the strut after damaging it; it looks like it has been machined smooth after shearing off the tightening bolt. Im out over $500 for installation and $500 for parts, and I have an unusable car I cant afford to do anything else with. On top of that, the ABS system has been broken since the service occurred, and they claim no responsibility. The dealer wanted over $300 just to take a look at whats wrong with this, and they estimated at least $300 more for the most likely cause of the problem.Thats $1600 dollars lost to them, if youre keeping track. Stay away; there are covering up for significant mistakes by machining parts to make them look normal. This is a VERY dishonest shop.

Ive recommended this shop to all of my friends and family and non of them have ever had to bring their cars back for the same problem. Its the only shop I will take my car to.
