Surprisingly honest local mechanic that emphasizes fast service, honest assessments, quick repairs, and friendly service. We came here because we read a similar review - and we were impressed with how we were treated. After our repair, they even gave us the defective part (pictures included) so we could see proof that the part failed in the first place. Super happy - and we will certainly be back.We came in when our check engine light came in on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They charged us 100$ for the diagnostic (which is cheap for the area) and they found the problem pretty quickly.They gave us an honest quote and did not try to upsell us with other repairs. They told us the other things that were wrong with the car, but did not make it sound like we needed to do it right away. We really valued the service because we felt like they put an emphasis on being honest, which is hard to find in this business.Absolutely recommended.

My intention was not to go here. I was on the highway and blew a tire and had no spare. Pulled off the freeway and just happened to pull into the first empty automotive lot on a Sunday. Nothing was open and so I started to work on swapping tires out. I had thebwrong size wheels and was trying to change out the bolts. Was stranded there for at least 4 hours. Frustrated and tired I was going to give up but then an food delivery guy showed up and he said he knows the guy who owns the tire shop. He called the owner and the owner showed up and just started helping me out. He changed the bolts and I got my tire on and finally got it done. This was impressive. Never had I seen someone go out of their way to help someone else. I do things to help all the time and never ask for things in return but this time it was help for me. Thanks for the help and much appreciated. You guys are awesome.

I have been getting my car serviced here for years now. Minh is amazing, he doesnt upsell you any other service. The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend this place.Last time when my car needed tires replaced and I told him about the offer from Costco, he was honest and told me it is the best deal. I ended up getting tires replaced with him because Costco didnt had the tire in stock.

Car services is done well here. My experience has been that the service center does use oem parts. The only concern I have is that the service doesnt provide a good multi point inspection on every service and associated paperwork. This has led to last minute problems and immediate work on the car which could have been avoided. At times the service cost can be something close to what the dealer can offer, but its not true all the time. Overall for non luxary cars I can recommend this center.

I had my SUV transmission rebuilt years ago and wanted to explain to customers about my experience. They were unprofessional and made excuses after excuses about my transmission. Once it was done it leaked and they said it wasnt that it was something else. Never going there again.

Earnest people. Honest. Rates quoted very reasonable. Work done is high quality. However, due to there increasing popularity service is becoming slow. I would still go to the again because of honesty and reasonable prices.

I did brakes pad change with them quick service and good response. Pricing need negotiation which I didnt like though. They did the work as expected. But I expect them to do basic check of the car to see everything is working well but they didnt. So if you have specific work they seems to be good but dont expect that will go beyond to ensure car runs well.

I have both my family cars serviced here. They have specials all the time and can always get me in quickly. They have been in Sunnyvale for over 20 years too which is a bonus.

Contrary to other reviewers I dont think the pricing is bad; cost me $70 for a synthetic oil change, seems pretty normal. Unlike many other experiences with chain auto repair places, Ive not had them attempt to rip me off with stuff I didnt need, and Ive usually been in and out in a half hour. No complaints from me!P.S.: they Did reset the oil life meter on my car, correctly, but since some people were complaining about it, if your car is telling you you need an oil change it may just not have had its oil life meter reset. Theyre not all as smart as youd think.

These guys are great! They did a lot of work on my car and it now runs better than it has in many years. And while they were working on it, they provided me with a loaner car! Came here with a groupon for a smog check and was super satisfied with the service. The technician was quick and the checkout process was easy. Their prices seemed pretty reasonable so Ive kept them on s short list of auto repair shops just in case I need them to work on my car in the future. They also have a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Been here twice, and never fully completed either job. Had headlights installed and they used old and worn headlights.Had contamination of my fluids, and charged $600 to have it all fixed. Turns out, they never really fixed it and had to go to a dealer. Highly recommend ALWAYS going to a dealer.

I have had only positive experiences with this mechanic shop. I will never visit another mechanic. I completely trust Minh. He is knowledgeable. Professional. Gives you a fast estimate when one is needed. Sometimes doesn’t charge for small things when it’s an emergency. He charges less than other mechanics. I trust him and will always take my car to him. The work is completed very fast. Not much waiting time. He seems honest.

They supposedly did an oil change. When I got back the car, the wiper fluid was still empty; I gave that a pass. But within a month I got a warning from my car that the engine oil needs to be changed! Went to a different place to get an oil change and no problems since then.

COMPLETE SHAM of a place. They ripped me off several times for an oil change. THEY CHARGE more than the dealer. STUPID ME. I paid $16 more for each oil change. Just got it changed at toyota CHEAPER and the service is a hell of a lot better. DO NOT GO THERE unless u want to be ripped off.

Fast and accurate, hassle free experience

Terrible experience. Geico sent me there to repair a broken quarter window on my Tesla. The guy there said, no problem, I have ordered the part, it is in stock, leave the car overnight and I will fix it next day. I said I will bring the car back next day. I get there next day and the guy has a totally different story. Now he says he cannot repair a Tesla (duh!), does not have the part and I need to take it to the dealer. Dealer does not have any parts so it will take several days to get this fixed, plus I lost a day getting the work started. Total fabrications, be it dishonesty or incompetence, neither is acceptable in business. Won’t ever go there again.

Minh was really nice. The service was fast and the quality was good. I made an appointment to do my oil change and I was done within 30 minutes. The shop was clean, unlike other auto shops I have been to. I would come back here.

Minh was very helpful and honest. I am leaving for Reno and he quickly topped off my fluids, gave me sound advice on checking my antifreeze. Ill be back in the morning because Precision Tune Auto Care in Sunnyvale screwed up my car. I just had my power steering fixed and they say its leaking, but cant figure out from where (what?). Ill never take it back there. A-1 Cliff and Minh are now my go to mechanics. Thanks!!!

It was okish. I didnt find anything special. Last time I went to the guy next door and he even cleaned my windows for free, A1 didnt.

When I called they said appointment not needed. But when I went there at 5 30 for an oil change they said they stop taking in cars at 5. They should put that somewhere on their website.
