Ordered online with curbside service but the guy who answered just transferred me to customer service who put me on hold while I continued to wait in the hot parking lot. No one would pick up/ help me so I gave up and just walked inside. My item was literally sitting right by the service desk, they just refused to step outside to bring it to me even though there were 2 employees who seemingly had nothing else to do. Do yourself a favor and just use Amazon or have it shipped. Youll end up waiting about the same amount of time.
Customer service lousy. Representatives one in particular Janet are not efficient lacks communication skills. Argued about a service she could not provide and I had used it 3 days prior. Went to another Lowe’s store on garners ferry and was able to receive the service I wanted with no problem.
I had an issue and everyone was turning me away without a care EXCEPT the cashier Nicole! Her customer service- phenomenal, shows she cares about the customer for sure! Wish more people worked as hard as her thank you Nicole!

They got what you need. But I just hate it here. Anyone who had been in the middle of a house project understands. Rule of thumb. If your doing plumbing you will be there a minimum of three times before the project is over.
Ive always supported lowes. I appreciate how well they treat our military and support thier families. But the Sumter SC store is a joke with customer service. So poor. Its like everyone forgot how to act like a nice person let alone customer service. So sad .
My problem with Lowe’s is WHY IN THE WORLD DO THEY BLOCK THE PARKING LOT UP WITH MEDIANS!! If you are trying to get in it hauling anything you are going to have a problem. Especially with the number of people trying to get in and out of it.

I asked an Older female employee who was working the floor for help getting a weed eater. She looked at me with this strange look and asked me how am I gonna pay for this? I said to myself why would you ask me a questionike that. I brushed it off. She came back to unlock the weed eater and walked towards the door and i said that I parked on the back end near the garden center and she said you know where gonna check your id I said ok and?We got up to the counter and she waited til I paid for it. I paid for it and she watched me all the way to my car and proceeded to follow me. I felt someone watching me and I turned around to this dead look on her face and asked her what did she want. I already paid for it, with the receipt in my hand.Never again will I deal with her or anyone who acts like her‼️
Seriously wish we had a home Depot in Sumter. Not because I like it more, but so it would force Lowes to up their game. Half of their workers are a joke, but seeing how their hiring process is faceless for the most part explains it. But then there are people who are really awesome, like the young guy working at the paint counter. I really hate shopping there though. Its such a process to get in and out.

Unfortunately this is the worst stocked home improvement store Ive been to. To make matters worse, customer service is anything but a service. Saddle up if youre trying to get anything accomplished through this location as youll have to guide their train of thought to steer any potential help.
It was a great experience and very helpful associates. The items were in my price range. It’s still a Pandemic (COVID-19) going on, but SC has a no mask policy in affect. I felt uncomfortable with this in Lowe’s where half on and half off.
Great experience. We found exactly what was needed to complete the project working on at home. Friendly and courteous service. The store was well stocked, clean and organized. Safe and easy to move around. 👍
Cool hack that I found, if you like never-ending transfer on a phone call, just ask if they have cinder blocks LOL you will be transferred from department to department infinite amount of times because nobody has any desire to actually answer the question if they have cinder blocks or not..
I asked 3 different employees to please find me someone to help me, with no results. One employee up front, paged TWICE over the intercom for someone to come assist me. I waited for any associate, for over 30 minutes, to come to the aisle that I was on to help me understand what wire I needed to get for a new doorbell, and no one ever showed up. Eventually I just did my best to Google things to try to understand what certain abbreviations meant and I can only hope that I actually got the correct items. If not, I guess Ill have to come back to Lowes to return what I bought (but at a different and BETTER Lowes location). The customer service is abysmal at the Sumter SC location!! Very disappointed. I hope the company sees this review and realizes they need to do something about this, lack of, service at their business.
This trip was one of the more pleasant visits. While we were in one isle, we had an associate come up to see if we needed any help. The cashiers for the most part are very helpful and friendly.
Worst customer service. Ordered a washer and dryer for delivery. They said they would call the Thursday before delivery. Thursday came and went, no call. Three calls to them finally get a hold of someone. The Lowes rep was extremely rude and then said to wait around on Saturday between the hours of 8am and 8pm for the delivery. Absolute garbage service. Same yourself the trouble. Go somewhere where they appreciate your business.
Absolutely ridiculous every weekend it seems EVERY person behind the pro desk gets off. And they are highly understaffed ...weve been waiting in line 45 mins and its about to cost us a job. I would highly advise anyone who asks to take the time to drive to home depot at least youll expect the drive time and they are always more helpful...I would love lowes if theyre management team was better. Id like to get in contact with the area supervisor...I believe they are problem.

Very poor service lately . Only one cashier working the line was through the store . The cashier was wonderful and working very hard . I got attitude asking for a piece of glass to be cut by an employee and there is merchandise all over the isles that u cant even go through some of them . It never was like this before I blame management . People will start going elsewhere
Literally the worst customer service Ive ever experienced at a Lowes location. I purchased a wheelbarrow, and waited for over 20 minutes to have the padlock unlocked outside. Went to customer service after 10 minutes, 3 people standing behind the counter complaining about needing to be relieved for their break but none of them bothered to help me. Had to wait for the other 1 person to return before I was helped. Attrocious customer service
Went with my sister to pick up some things.. when we got to the register, the price wasnt the same as on the shelf.. so my sister ended up having to walk back there with the lady.. it took about 5 min or so.. so frustrating.. the whole entire time the associate seemed to have an attitude. She wasnt very friendly and she didnt greet us upon walking up to the register. Such is life. If I see her again, Ill avoid her line..
The people who work in all those are very nice people they are very helpful and patient
Awful Waited 1 hour to have 10 bags of decorative stone loaded to my car. After an hour I decided to load myself. Thanks Lowes.. I will have to be desperate to go to Lowes again.
When you check out keep your eye on your receipt. I showed my lowes card told her military please. Checked receipt and it was not put on. Then was told to get it fixed go to customer service. They were great. Just watch your receipt

Lowe’s floor installation for my house is still incomplete! They’ve sent me a congratulations email that the 1yr warranty started as if it’s complete. They have been dropping the ball since a month after my initial purchasing of materials. They sent contractors out to install with the wrong items twice. Initially, they sent the contractors out with not enough materials. Now, they are giving me the run around with completing my floors. They have not called me back to correct and complete my previously paid in full project!
Always seem to have to wait extended times for registers and they only ever have one open, other than that clean store helpful staff
As a contractor I have expected for better service than what I have received most of the time you cant find anyone to help you nor do you get the specific products you ordered the lines are always extremely long takes too long to cash out can you cant find anybody to help you load anything its a shame that we dont have a Home Depot maybe with competition they will improve their customer service and step up their game
Nice store, employees are friendly. I hate that the only one in my area is always out of stock on an appliance that you may need. The back log for waiting for one is ridiculous. We definitely need some compilation in the area.
Always find what I’m looking for and assistance when needed. Shopping online and using store pick has worked wonderfully as well.

Went in for an interview and was totally thrown back by how there was no structure in this place. One line ran into another, associates barked orders at the customers to try and get some kind of order and no one could give clear directions to where interviews would be held.Then had the nerve to have me wait over an hour for the interviewee which came in trashing the District Manager immediately. No thanks I’ll pass.
Extremely poor customer service. Employees are rude and seemingly inexperienced at working with the public. Phones are hardly ever answered and when they are it typically does not help at all.
Went to Lowes to buy two smart locks for my home so that we could better provide for my father who has dementia. An associate said she would send someone to help us. We heard the page over the intercom after 30.mins of waiting we left. Headed to home depot!

We had a great experience buying a new refrigerator for my daughter living in Sumter, SC. The gentleman who helped us pick out the refrigerator was very knowledgeable and helpful. The cashier who checked us out, Jalisa I believe was her name, was very patient with our questions. And when we did find that our military discount had not been properly applied, 3 ladies; Jennifer, Destiny, and Lottie made it right. A special thanks to Lowes for offering the military discount! Very generous and made my daughters new appliance that much more affordable 😄
Never have a problem in this Lowe’s; however, saw the American flag torn to pieces hanging up in front of the store. Tried to find a manager and couldn’t. This flag needs replaced. Somebody should be paying attention to this is you want to fly a flag!Disregard, I took it down for you and will properly dispose of it.

The young cashiers here are some of the rudest children. You cant say good morning without them rolling their eyes.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. We waited 45 minutes to be helped with a purchase while 5 associates worked on a customer assistance needed button in the area we were waiting in. OH, THE IRONY!!! Asked two people for help during our wait to no avail. Finally, got a third to look up the item, only to find they were out of stock and we would have to come back the next day.....uh, NO THANKS! We made our $700 purchase somewhere else.

I had to get a weed eater for my husband last minute. I bought it online and went to go get it curbside pickup. And was told curbside pickup is only from 10-6. 🙄🙄 this needs to be clarified on ur website. It was raining and I had my 5 month old grandson with me and I didn’t want to have to take him out in the rain.That was really the only issue. Samuel helped me and even took my buggy out for me and loaded my weed eater into my car since my hands were full due to me having to take my grandson in. Samuel was truly a god send!!! 🙏🙏🙏 he was so helpful and polite. He is one amazing man who puts 💯 into his job!!Thank u again Samuel

About half of my trips into Sumter Lowes for plumbing and hardware, I cant find anything Im looking for. A LOT of it is from biting being where its supposed to be and the shelves are chaos. The other times its just not something they carry, like a simple threaded PVC reducer or a 1/2 under sink valve. Ill pay the 15% up charge at Ace just so I dont have to wake through the clutter
We had to get a door and the hardness for everything. The customer service was good, i recommend checking Lowe’s Home Improvement

Customer care was horrible. I called and I could not understand what the lady was saying for her introduction. All her words ran together. So, I then told her I had an online order and all of sudden I hear music. Held for 8mins. No “please hold or I’m going to transfer you” NOTHING! I hung up and called back asked for store manager and same thing music in the ear. When I told the assistant store manager, John about my online order and how the lady rudely handled the calls he states, “oh “McKenzie handles online orders”. I’m thinking did you not hear me say customer care lady was rude and put music in my ear without letting me know. Trash service!

There was no one to assist me in the Tool World section of the store. I read several reviews and I realized why everytime I go to Home Depot in Florence or the Lowes in Lexington. At least in these locations some will ask you do you need any assistance. This place may need to be called No Customer Service World.

As we all know they have all the products we want but have no one on there staff in the departments that have the knowledge to assist. So do your research before going in!
