The absolute best! From the time we walked in the door to the time we stepped out! The service and care was so friendly, polite, professional, and the best thing: they were so welcoming!The dentist himself was very knowledgeable and more than willing to help me understand how to better care for my daughters oral hygiene. What I loved most though is how he was very relatable when I mentioned how I’m guilty of not always making sure her teeth and brushed well and flossed etc. He said “that’s busy life” and I knew that we’d be customers forever.Thank you so much!

The staff was so welcoming, very sweet and they completely accommodated to my son. They were very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and made my baby feel comfortable and happy while he was there. They also take state insurance which is extremely helpful. Overall we had an awesome experience and I will be taking my son back soon 💙

We just moved to the area from Los Angeles and our oldest daughter needed a few teeth pulled. To have 2 extractions done on her first visit to this office was a little scary for her, but… the team and the Dr did an absolutely outstanding job all around. Keeping her spirits up and what an incredible job they did with the procedure. 10/10 stars would recommend to anyone!

My son is 2 and has been complaining of tooth pain for a couple months. I took him to another place in Puyallup close to our house and I made it clear that this was his FIRST ever appt. We were in and out within 15 mins as it was super busy. I felt lile they didnt take the time with him. Smile surfers is a whole different story. I came here for a second opinion as I was unsure of the diagnoses they gave me. The whole entire staff is AMAZING. They treated him like their own. First appt with them we were there for over an hour!we went back 2 days later and my son had to get 3 baby teeth taken out, spacers put in, caps, and crowns. YIKES right?!? They made me feel so safe and secure with leaving him in their care. Not to mention their goodie bags are tight lol. If you are looking for a kids dentist THIS IS THE PLACE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Took my little for her first dentist appointment and I’m so impressed with the staff and Dr Jared! He was kind and patient and so gentle. The hygienist was so sweet and patient with my 2 year old. The entire place was so clean and the lobby has a gorgeous mural on it that kept my little interested for a while. Every patient seemed happy to be there and best of all.. I didn’t have to restrain my kiddo.

My 2yo daughter has already been 4 times and we love all the staff. Dr. Jared is so sweet and gentle with her, he was able to floss her teeth too. The atmosphere is great, very welcoming for children and they get toys after the visit. There is a play area in the waiting room, its shut down due to covid but it was fun to play with prior. Ive recommended Surfers smiles to everyone I know.

My kids always love going to Dr. J… he is an AWESOME kids dentist! Not to mention an all around good guy! We were greeted cheerfully when we arrived, we saw amazing dental assistants Shawnee & Yareli today! Dr. Jared happily performed a thorough dental exam along with some “how are you’s” and smiles! Yay no cavities 🦷 😁 When we left they picked a toy and my older kiddo got a “good for your teeth” zolli-pop and we were sent on our way with smiles, waves and “nice to see you’s” …BEST pediatric dentistry… hands down!!!!!! 🥰

What can I say except this visit was so bad. I know with kids it’s not easy to do some treatment but he barely tried, a doctor with big experience disappoints me. He started and immediately gave up, he injected the medicine and said later on he did not want to continue with the appointment, and rudely said, I can recommend another provider for you.

We love this place! My 4 year old was talking about going days before our appointment and when we pulled into the parking lot my 8 year old declared, “This is one of my favorite places!” The staff are friendly and professional. Dr Jared is great with the kids and really puts forth the effort to ensure the visit is stress free and kid based.

Love the new building!Always super friendly and makes my kiddo at ease while visiting. The only thing is that if you need appointments after school hours they are hard to come by when having to come back for additional procedures.We also had a sports injury incident that they were able to work him in to get checked out!

My daughter who is 13 has dentist anxiety, on the day of a dentist appointment she will have an emotional breakdown. Which for a parent is hard to see your child so upset. But coming here to see Dr Jared she feels at ease. No more tears! From the office staff to the dental assistants, they are so wonderful and friendly. My daughter appreciates the humor Dr Jared and staff have it makes the dentist less scary. The one thing I like is how clean it is and how careful they are with cross contamination. My wife took our 6 year old son to their Santa Event and it was wonderful. The pictures we received were excellent and Santa was so great with our son, taking the time to go through his Christmas list. The staff was very pleasant. I originally went to another dental office for both my kids and had a bad experience. I was told that my 5 year old would need surgery to extract a tooth and have a filling done. When I brought up my concerns and asked if there were other options, she responded with an attitude. Deciding to go somewhere else, I came across this dental office and after reading all the great reviews, I decided to come here. Let me just say, I am soo glad I did. Not only does the office staff communicate very well, Dr. Jared Lothyan listens to any concerns you may have and always offers other options pertaining to your concerns. So my daughter had her extraction done but not by surgery. She had local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. It turned out that she didnt need a filling after all. The procedure was done quick and my daughter didnt feel a thing. I would recommend this pediatric dental place to anyone that has children.

Weve been going here for years but love the new location. This week my daughter had a tooth pulled and my son had his first two cavities filled. Both were completely calm and not panicky and were done before we knew it. My two year old also had a rough apt with the dentist but they were all so patient and went at her pace, she was able to get her check up. Even with the commute I dont think Ill ever be able to take my kids anywhere else. We love Dr.Lothyan and his crew!

I will start by saying that I am a licensed dental assistant, and have been for nearly 9 years. I took my six-year-old daughter in for her first visit today, and of course I was on the look-out for anything that could be worrisome. I’m happy to report that the staff, and dentist, at Smile Surfers not only met my high expectations, they exceeded it! I would absolutely recommend bringing your child(ren) here. They have all the comforts a kid could need during a dental visit, plus a clean and well-maintained office, plus a caring and knowledgeable staff. You really couldn’t ask for more.

Wonderful place. They recently moved to Sumner in an awesome new building with tons of space. My kids didnt want to leave the office they wanted to stay and play. Excellent staff and doctor. Absoultly great with kids. We started coming here 6 months ago when my two year old busted his front tooth. They had him in for surgery within a month, they did their best to calm me down about surgery and they still have a positive dental expericance. I will be continuing to see smile surfers and recommend them to any parent needing a dentist.

Weve been taking your kids here for four years now. The staff is wonderful. The hygienists and dentist cater to our kids and the kids look forward to their visits because of the care they receive.

Dr. Lothyan and his team do an amazing job making sure our kids dental experience is fun and comfortable.They even use code words for different tools and procedures so the kids arent scared or nervous. Every chair has its own TV and headphones where kids can pick from a variety of movies while they get their teeth cleaned or get a cavity filled or a tooth extracted. My kids have been there for all of those things and they still cant wait to go back to the dentist. Dr. Lothyan has done such a great job creating a welcoming and exciting environment for the kids. I wish I would have had the same experience as a child!

Perfect from beginning to end. One of the most respectful medical group for and towards children Ive ever encountered and Ive met quite a few with a son born 11 weeks early. The receptionist even came back halfway through our appt. to ask my son how he was feeling since he was so nervous when we got there. He loved every person he met and left with a huge smile, asking when we can go back again. This place is a moms dream come true!

Although he is loacted in Auburn (with a second office in Renton) we still make the drive to him from Seattle! That is how much we love this dentist!
