Just purchased a 20 year old 33’ long motor home with no records. Car smart did a thorough inspection of the entire unit. Did an oil and filter change. Flushed coolant system twice then filled with new coolant. Very satisfied with the work. The people were very friendly and informative. I needed a quick look over before I took a road trip. Scheduling an appointment was fast and Michael was incredibly kind. Called on a Wednesday and got the car in Friday morning. I ended up needing a little work brake work done. They got it finished fast and the cost was fair. I really like the digital report they sent to my phone and email with suggestions and service that needed attention. 10/10 would recommend and take my car back.

I was told a week (10 hour book job) for an engine install on my 16 year old sons 02 Chevy w/ 4.3. The old motor was removed prior and sitting in the bed next to the engine that was to be installed by them. It took a month to get in the shop after their initial itll be complete in a week. So a month later it gets started. Every week I get a call, hopefully saying its done, and its not. Instead it needs $500 worth of parts. 3 or 4 weeks of this.The final straw was an oil pan. That was $500 and they couldnt use the pan from the original motor. It was the wrong one supposedly even though it worked on the original engine. Their fix when I wouldnt agree to purchase a $500 oil pan? They went to a local junkyard, got a good one and returned my old one that was no good for a refund. Thats when I knew I was dealing with the typical shady mechanic shop everyone fears. The very next day they tell me I need all new fuel lines. Their cost was $500 plus mark up. Plus a couple hundred for labor. Whats that...$800 for fuel lines? Exact same part, brand & part number on Amazon was $188. They wanted to charge me triple after 3 months of being told I need this and that over and over.Overall, I spent about $1000 on new parts. Plus they still claim I need these fuel lines at $500+ plus markup and labor. Plus over $1500 for the install of the V6 engine.Dishonest, unorganized, fraudulent. Completely bent me over backwards. My son gave up trying to fix his new-to-him truck. It was costing twice its value so he gave up. Im furious they screwed him over. Called me one time a week after the fuel line incident and I never heard from them again.I feel completely Fd over by this shop and wouldnt recommend AT ALL!

I found myself in a pickle when my car died, fearing impound I contacted car smart and the staff was very friendly and allowed me to tow and store my car until I was able to get it fixed definitely above my expectations. Took my vehicle in to investigate why the AC was not working. They told me the compressor was needing to be replaced for $1400.Took it to another mechanic to get the compressor replaced for $400 less, but then they found the compressor was just disconnected and not needing to be replaced.Seems like an easy thing to identify.

Prices are ridduclously expensive. Charging $90 for a $12 part, waste of time getting vehicle inspected should have just waited the week till I could get my car into my buddies garage and we could do the work ourselves.

We believed these guys would do a good job. Unfortunately they failed to tighten appropriate clamps after working on our rig and we overheated, losing all the coolant, while on a road trip. Our rig immediately began having other problems and after saying they would correct their error, services and charges are again adding up. All due to not actually securing clamps and making sure work was 100% done. It’s a never ending problem and the amount of money this is now costing us is beyond acceptable. For a problem created by their error.

So far Ive been here twice, one for a belt squeal issue and now for an oil change and every time they do an amazing job all the way through, from giving you a call the day prior to you appointment as a reminder, to doing a full detailed inspection which they send you the results via text complete with photos showing exactly what is good and what might need attention. I have to say that they do a great job, very professional and straight forward with their pricing and have continued to earn my business.

I had a great first time experience with Car Smart beginning with the initial scheduling of service. Communication was excellent all through the process and any questions I had were answered in a professional and timely manner. Throughout our transaction I was made to feel like a human being, not just another customer with yet another problem. It was refreshing! I brought my truck in to get fixed and told them what the issues was. All they did was reconnect my battery and said they could not find the issue. I came in next day and drove it and the same issue was there. I told them to drive it on freeway and they said they did but the issue didnt happen to them. I told them it happens every time how could you not have it happen to you. They wanted me to bring truck back which I did then 2 hours later they said they drove it and said the volume to my fuel pump is bad and that they could give me a sweet deal of 900 dollars to fix it. They told me that they could only get a pump from dealership. I had to pay 168 dollars to get my truck out for them fixing battery connection. I asked about why so much there comment was the second time I brought it in that they tested truck and thats why they didnt refund back back any money. I then took truck to a dealership that I personally know the parts manger he said that the pump could be replaced and didnt need to purchase pump from Dodge dealer. The cost 500 dollars. Unbelievable that this auto company charges 135 on hour thats higher then the dealership I went to for a second opinion. What a scam Ill find another place to take my vehicles. I tried them just becouse its closer to home but I got screwed.

Mike at the counter is very good at climbing the ladder with there price. We started with a repair price of $3100.00 once they had my truck in pieces he jacks the price up incrementally to $11,000.00. Not able to afford the repair I asked them to put the parts in the truck, they tossed them in the bed without any protection from the elements. My intake and heads are full of water from a heavy rain. They quoted 28 hours to R&R the engine when the book calls for 18 hours. I have bought an engine for $2600, there quote was $5500 for the same engine. Im sure they do great work if you can afford it. Very unhappy experience. Buyer beware!!!!

Where do I begin? WORST experience, especially right before the holidays. Took three days in this shop, my husbands check engine light is STILL on and absolutely no plausible solutions were offered. Not only that, they called my husband, said they were closing early for a holiday party, and FORCED him to pay $1100 out right because we werent approved for a payment plan. Seriously, be smart and take your car somewhere else. Never using again!

Have taken my car here several times in the past, but this will be the last time. Took my car in for a replacement starter. Based on the symptoms, I knew it could have only been the starter, which is what I requested. The adviser said that they wanted to check other items to make sure its the starter. I said sure, go ahead. What he didnt say was these are the checks wed like to do and here is the cost. I found an extra $135 on the bill. He called me to let me know the starter would be $245. I figured that would be the cost since I searched for them online. I found NEW starters for that much but it turns out they installed a REMANUFACTURED one for that price. I saw that Autozone had the same starter with the same lifetime warranty for 1/2 that much. Im happy that they were able to do the work in a day, but who couldnt? Theyre not up front about telling you EXACTLY what theyre installing and EXACTLY how much the other component checks will cost. Also, I posted a 2-star review on their website which never showed up. They only post 4 and 5-star reviews. Beware! I wont be back.

I went in for them to replace my passenger side mirror and fix my brake lights.They did a great job on the mirror, but forgot to input the brake light into the job, which happens.

Took my diesel truck in, they helped me out of a tight spot. They gave me a quote that they stuck to, the only issue I had was they didnt tighten down my intercooler well enough and it blew off, I fixed it easy. Their prices were fair and their service was timely and the staff were friendly. I would send people there.

Friendly staff but the prices and labor charges are astronomical. Watch a youtube video and do it yourself. Even if you have to buy the tools to do it. You will still save money.

I have brought my vehicles here a few times with no issues until my latest experience with a vintage vehicle that I am very aware requires a certain expertise to address its needs.I had an issue with a fuel pump on a trip last summer in an isolated part of Washington and needed to replace the mechanical pump with an electronic as it was the only thing available without a long delay (days). That said, eventually I wanted to return my old girl back to stock and go back to a mechanical pump. I was told this could be done no problem and I actually provided a pump for replacement. I also wanted the vehicle inspected for any other issues to get ready for Summer. All was done as expected and I felt happy with the service I received.I left the following weekend for The Gorge and upon starting up any incline, there was absolutely no power and pretty much made it up Snoqualmie Pass in second gear @ 25MPH...needless to say...something was not right! When we finally returned home on Sunday afternoon I had the gumption to inspect what was done (should have done this before ever leaving! My bad), and found that there was no fuel filter installed (which I did not provide, but I would think a mechanic would be recommending that...for a price...right?) and the Air filter on one of my carbs was loose, without a wing nut to hold anything in place.I returned Monday morning and dropped off the vehicle and shared my frustrations and inspection findings and was told that they would handle the issue. I trusted that they would.Fast forward a week and 1/2...still have the vehicle and I have not heard anything from anyone. Finally I call and check on progress and I am told that it was done (on Tuesday...this was Friday...supposedly left me a message...never received), the fuel filter was on and air filter tightened and their thought was that the clutch was going, thus the loss of power under load. I was given a rough idea of $1000 to fix (already have $1300 invested here).Well, here is where I made a personal mistake and did not check to see if indeed the fuel filter was installed and air filter was tightened as directed, but I guess I just trusted the management team. Sadly, the fuel filter was NOT installed and the air filter was still loose. Some where within the shop is a fuel filter I purchased, perhaps sitting on a counter with mechanics wondering where it is supposed to go! Well, as it turns out, the fuel pump that I supplied from an online source was the wrong one (or defective). It was replaced for another $45 and the problem was solved.My biggest concern here is the lack of communication between mechanics and management as to what ACTUALLY transpired with my vehicle so the RIGHT information is being relayed. Perhaps some better checks and balances? I am also disappointed that I had to do all of the instigating of communication. Having been a manager within the automotive industry myself, communication with the customer is by far the most critical aspect to return business.You havent lost my business, as I will continue to bring my more modern vehicles to you and I like to support local business (I live in Sumner), But you will never see my vintage vehicle ever again. I would like to say that I know some things about vehicle maintenance. When my Jeep wouldnt start, I tried everything I knew to fix it: replaced the starter, replaced the ignition switch, put in a new starter relay switch, had the alternator & battery checked... nothing. I knew it was either something with the wiring or something more serious. So I sent it in to Car Smart of Sumner and they found that there was no power going to the starter from the ignition. It appeared at one time my Jeep had an alarm installed in it (probably not by a professional) and those wires eventually shorted out the wiring to the starter! Ive owned the vehicle 2 years and it took that time and probably longer to cause what eventually had happened. THANK YOU CAR SMART! I gave you guys a shout out on Facebook : )

Weve used Carsmart for several years, and for several family cars. Always do a great job for us. ALWAYS on time, f ok r the price theyve quoted, and they stand behind their work. Recently had a part go out that was still under warranty. NO hassles, NO charge. Sa is e fast service. We would Highly recommend using Carsmart in Sumner.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. I had this shop replace my camshaft and fix or replace other parts needed as they took apart the engine. I was told it should be right around $3500 give or take and about a weeks work. After a longer the expected time and a $6700 bill I got a truck back that still had a check engine light. I was told the mechanic took it for a 20 mile test drive and didnt notice what I did before I made it 100 feet away from the shop. He missed the check engine light, vigorous shaking and high rpms... After dropping it off again I was overcharged another $100 for a vvt solenoid. THEN I got another check engine light, so I scanned it and found out it is a malfunctioning knock sensor code. I crawled under the truck to replace the sensor and found the ASE certified mechanic FORGOT to plug one of them in. I paid $6700 for this type of work. $100/hr for a forgetful mechanic. Ive tried to contact the owner jeff grassman several times and havent heard back from him. I hardly want to use my warranty through them.
