We gutted a 1926 colonial home and wanted the kitchen to really stand out. Hiring Linda and Kitchen Expressions to design my kitchen was the best decision of my renovation!Linda is the ultimate professional. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and has a great sense of space and style. My kitchen is magazine-worthy! Even my contractors workers would randomly comment on how beautiful it is and compliment the workmanship of KEs installers. They also gave me this stunning kitchen and stayed within my budget (which Linda bent over backward to make happen). I wouldnt change a thing about my experience with Linda and Kitchen Expressions.

This spring we finally decided to renovate our kitchen. The first step was finding someone who would walk us through the process of creating our dream kitchen. From initial design consult, to demo, to finished product our experience with the Kitchen Expressions team was a positive experience!Steven took our ideas, enhanced them with his creative vision, and created a kitchen beyond our expectations. He directed us with design, guided us in selections and created a masterpiece.Working with Frank and his talented crew was a pleasure. We have all heard stories of major renovation project nightmares, but our renovations went smoothly from start to finish. Frank is organized and has great time management skills. Every aspect of this project was executed with professionalism; his crew was friendly and meticulous.Stevens unique designs were brought to life by Frank and his crew from electrical, plumbing, tiling, counters, etc. - every detail was tended to. The end result was everything we were promised at our initial meeting and more.I almost felt that I should rope off our new kitchen as a showroom exhibit, but I actually just couldnt wait for my first dinner party to show it off!Thank you, Steven!

Hands down the greatest construction experience one could ask for! From the moment I walked in the showroom to the day my renovation was complete, every conversation and detail was thoughtful, professional and added value. There were no surprises, missed deadlines or hidden costs. They were able to create every custom item I asked for and accommodate all of my add-on projects during construction. Everyone I have referred to Kitchen Exoressions has had the same first class experience!

When set out to renovate my kitchen, I knew it would be a challenge to create a beautiful, efficient workspace, because the room is fairly small. To get it right would require excellent design skills. Fortunately, my sister in law in NYC had worked with Steven Naphtali, the owner of Kitchen Expressions of Short Hills, and was very impressed. So I contacted Steven, and was surprised and happy to discover that he was willing to come all the way up to MA.From the start, Steven brought an incredible attention to detail to the project. For example, when taking the initial measurements of the room he used both a tape measure and a laser measuring device. This level of care extended right up to the placement of the in-ceiling lights, which Steven located to yield great illumination without creating glare off the cabinet fronts. This is the kind of microscopic attention to detail that you almost never see anymore, but which guarantees and exceptional end result. In the design phase, Steven had lots of great ideas, including an angled end cabinet and counter to create an easy walking path into the kitchen from the adjacent hallway, and a slightly recessed cabinet over the sink, to create a bit more space. He even figured out a way to rebuild an old broom closet and turn it into a very cool pull-out pantry that disappears into the wall! The result is a truly beautiful kitchen that functions well, and feels efficient, not small.I had a local carpenter selected to install the cabinets, and Steven was happy to work with him. The carpenter was very impressed by the quality of the cabinets and hardware. This is top-quality stuff all the way.I really feel that Kitchen Expressions of Short Hills is as good as it gets.

Steven Naphtali and his team of expert craftspeople designed and installed a spectacular kitchen in my New York City apartment. The design and layout of the cabinetry completely enhanced the look, feel and utility of my small kitchen - it is become the focal point of my apartment! His tradespeople were meticulous and extremely courteous and were very respectful when working in my home. They arrived as scheduled every day and worked hard to get my project completed on time. They strictly adhered to my buildings numerous rules and regulations and cleaned up at the end of each work day. All in all, I have nothing but compliments for Steven and Kitchen Expressions - he and his craftspeople truly work together as a team for the benefit of their Clients - I recommend them without any reservations!

My experience with Kitchen Expressions was fantastic. I gave Steven Naphtali some complex functional requirements and a long wish list and I got the kitchen of my dreams! His attention to detail, responsiveness, and follow-through was impressive. And his contractor, Frank Appice and his crew, were phenomenal as well. Aside from a beautifully designed kitchen with really cool cabinets to enhance efficiency and space, it was done in time. They promised 4-5 weeks and my kitchen was basically done in 4 1/2 weeks. I cannot say enough good things about Kitchen Expressions, and neither can all the friends whove now seen my new kitchen.

When we made the decision to renovate our kitchen, we interviewed a number of potential designers and contractors. We had an immediate connection with Steven Naphtali from Kitchen Expressions. Although my husband and I were in agreement on the general concept, there were elements that were more important to each of us. Steven did an amazing job of incorporating all of those desires. After reviewing the initial design, there was one aspect that we did not feel comfortable with. Steven understood right away and quickly made the revisions to our request. For us, another positive aspect of working with Kitchen Expressions is that Steven has a whole team of people that we were able to work with, from appliances to countertops to cabinets, all very high quality, which was extremely important to us and made the process much easier. And finally is Frank and his team of carpenters, electricians and plumbers, who put the kitchen together. They were extremely professional and Frank does a great job of time management for the team. We would highly recommend working with Kitchen Expressions and expect if we have any additional house projects, will return to work with them again.

This is a review from work in 2003. Using Kitchen Expressions was one of the 5 worst experiences of my life. They (Sol Kassorla, Steven Naphtali) promised to take care of everything for us. Sol is everything that is bad with the stereotypical contractor. Our costs just kept escalating. We had put a large portion of the money down and then Sol Kassorla (the builder/contractor) tells us that it will be thousands more for an architectural drawing for town hall as needed for a permit. He was your standard contractor sleazeball. His workers showed up without tools and used mine. The new kitchen floor did not match the adjoining kitchen floor. After months and months of delays and problems, they finally were able to do some work on a major US holiday when my family was visiting. Their holiday construction ruined everything, but they were so bad that we figured if we didnt let them work at that point, they would never come back. In their defense, some of the frustration/delay was due to corruption by local permit officials and in the end the woodwork from Rutt looked beautiful, but it just wasnt worth suffering through months of dealing with Kitchen Expressions. I wouldnt wish that on anyone.

For some reason, I asked this establishment if they were familiar with having someone panel my existing kitchen appliances since the kind of woodworking we have, unfortunately cannot be painted over so the only option we have to modernize, is to add paneling. The service lady was rude and not helpful. She didn’t give me any suggestions on what else I could do, or even a contractor I could use for appliance paneling. She just said no offense but you should try Home Depot. That’s a laughable response for a multi million dollar home kitchen. Lol. I’m still laughing, but just shocked at the response and rudeness.
