I was the seller in a real estate transaction, and this broker represented the buyer. I accepted their offer because it was aggressively over the asking price and the offer was NOT contingent on the appraisal value.The home inspector hired by the brokerage left all of my faucets running, my fence gate wide open, and the crawl space door wide open, and left without saying goodbye. I didnt know she was gone until 45 minutes later.The appraisal came back about $14000 less than the offer, and specifically noted that they were ignoring the value of my solar panels, and the lender would not reconsider, even though the buyer would own them out-right.After the appraisal came back well below the offer price, the buyers agent tried to renegotiate the offer price down to the appraisal price. I didnt appreciate them trying to screw me out of $14000 after making such an aggressive offer. This, of course, was unacceptable, so we had to make arrangements for the buyer to purchase the solar panels separately, which ended up working out just fine, to be fair.The mortgage company that this broker works with, SC Housing, requested 45 days to close, instead of the standard 30. The financier of the loan, the bank who works with SC Housing delayed the closing by 5 days because they STILL werent able to get their paperwork done in time. And the closing attorney that this broker works with didnt provide my closing funds until nearly 48 hours after we closed the deal.Overall, I had a terrible experience working with this brokerage, the home inspector, the mortgage company, the finance company, and the closing company. The whole lot of them were disorganized, unprofessional, seemed to be lacking in knowledge, and couldnt get things done on schedule.The only redeeming factor I can say is that the buyers agent was a very kind and friendly lady.
