The club is always clean - workout areas and locker room. Friendly staff, equipment is in good condition. Plenty of equipment to choose from, especially cardio. It would be great if there were personal trainers for one on one sessions in addition to the group training sessions. I would like to work with a trainer on leg and back days. I go at one of the least crowded times. I appreciate the crowd meter on the app so I can check out the best time to go. I wish there was a squat rack and a t-bar row for back work.

The covid was the best thing for this place. I imagine ton of ppl are paying and arent using because of mask so you cant cancel and all. I wont make this mistake again. Im about to cancel my bank acct. Theyre getting $47 a month from us.

I always feel that I have accomplished something special when I come to the planet to work out. The equipment is state of the art and kept in excellent condition. I have a 30-40 minute drive to get there so I like to work out long enough to make the drive worthwhile. I try to go two or three times a week and work out different mussel groups each time along with cardio and abdominals. Then I get a chance to cool down and take a shower so I don’t have to get back in my car all sweaty. With a good workout it normally takes me a day to recover. It feels good to be back in the gym. It’s been a while.PF has a great staff and trainers too.

Pretty legit. If youre looking for a place with a sweet calf machine this isnt it. But fairly open, not super crowded. Ive heard that planet fitness has pizza but 🤷 I dont know much about that.Has everything you need unless youre a competitive power lifter, and lets be honest- you probably arent.

I would like to say the staff at this location are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is outstanding the cleanliness of this gym is exceptional. I am so happy that I left my old gym and joined this gym over 7 months ago. And I would like to thank the staff and the knowledge to help me to get into better shape and to get me on the right track to better health. I don’t not recommend. I tried to cancel my membership over the phone at the end of April. The lady on the phone told me to come in before the 10th of May. I came in on May 6 to cancel my membership. Nobody told me that I needed to come in before the 3rd to cancel my membership before the annual fee. I was not aware of this over the phone in April and they still wouldn’t refund my money. I just joined this gym in the middle of March. Therefore, I am not paying another annual fee.

I was hesitant to join in the first place but they have exceeded my expectations. Staff and customers are friendly enough and there is a wide variety of people that attend. Can get busy but I also appreciate the covid spacing even though they limited the machines.

Love PF. Only downside is that they make you wear your mask while walking by the front desk and as soon as you walk away from it they dont care if you take it off or not. Just doesnt make any sense. Oh and kudos to the normal people who dont wear masks (muzzles) and restrict their breathing while working out.

The manager Alicia has refused to do her job for months they have been trying to charge me an extra $60 (on top of the monthly fee and yearly renewal). Alicia has refused to make a phone call to the billing company for almost 2 months now. I HIGHLY suggest that nobody goes to this planet fitness until they get a manager who will actually do their job and fix billing issues THAT ONLY YOUR CLUB MANAGER CAN RESOLVE...I will be taking legal action against the owner and the process has already started. Sad that instead of doing her job and fixing customer issues that ONLY she can fix, she decided to instead make a scene.... MAKE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that Alicia is no longer the manager or get a different club because any billing issues she REFUSES to address and PF ONLY resolves issues with home club managers.... (AKA any billing issues will not be resolved until shes fired)

Have been goin to Planet Fitness in Summerville for about a month now. I had doubts about joining from what Ive heard about PF in the past from friends but all in all its one of my fav gyms Ive had a membership. Staff is very helpful, equipment is updated and always have a available Hydromassage bed open for me when I want a great massage.

Lovely staff. Very helpful. I dont know what I was thinking going to other gyms. Im paying the same amount that I was but now with so many more amenities. Tanning bed, hydromassage, body enhancement and free training. Literally get so much bang for your buck. And I feel comfortable.

The level of service and professionalism displayed by Brianna prevented me from ending a membership that I was barely using. She knew her product and was willing, as well as eager, to educate me. She had patience during a time when mine were short. This level of service is what I live for.

One of the day-time staff members here is AS RUDE as he can possibly be. They dont support people who are medically exempt from wearing the mask and at the very least one of the staff members was sure to let me know he couldnt possibly care less about anyones health condition, that I could put the mask on or get out, in front of other customers, and then he tried to stare me down until I made my decision. I truly do not know how this man still works here. It is beyond me.

Great in the early hours. Staff very friendly and facilities are clean.Update- Its 0520 on Sunday, November 29, and several of us are waiting for someone to show up to work, nobody is even here. Always fun to wake up early on the weekend to workout and the employees cant even show up. After waiting a little over 20 minutes now with no sign of an employee showing up, several of us decided to leave...yay 🤨. That being said, this is only the second bad experience here, so I only rated 3 rather than 1

I really enjoy getting fit and healthy here with my daughter. We push each other to be our very best selves. The Summerville location has so many different options and equipment for you to workout at your very best and to allow you to be safe while exercising. I also appreciate the equipment allows me to exercise areas that need improvement while also being careful in areas of my body where I had past serious injury and present areas that I am going to need surgery on when the hospital says its safe to have it done. So I can still be my best self before having my surgery but I can slowly get my whole self back in shape after its over. Its really great knowing I have a place to go and get back my full movement again after I heal.

I adore this location. However, I hate the fact that someone stole a rather expensive, discontinued pair of sandals from me while I showered on Tuesday, March 23, 2021/Wednesday, March 24, 2021 arrived before 9PM left before 1AM.

My husband and I both come to this gym, usually late late late at night and enjoy it because it’s usually the same small crowd of people. It’s quiet, clean, and there’s lots of machines so no ones directly on top of you.

Love this place! Work out here almost everyday. Staff is Great. PF has done a good job during the pandemic to balance safety and flexibility of working out.

It truly is wonderful working out at Planet Fitness. At NO time do i ever feel any kind of judgement from anyone else doing their thing. I love this facility!

Large location with a lot of diverse machines to use. The people up front are always friendly and nice. It can be packed at times but for the most part its not bad at all which is nice. My only complaint would be that no one seems to know how to use their infrared machine thing (not the tanning beds). Ive tried to use it 3 times now and its never worked. So I dont know of its broken or what.

Were in a global pandemic and specifically South Carolina is in a state of emergency. We are in lock down so I want to cancel my membership temporarily. The Summerville, SC location of Planet fitness requires me to come down in person to cancel or go to the U.S. Post Office to send a certified letter to cancel. This is totally unreasonable and it shows the greed of the company out weighs their concern for the safety of their customers and staff. Shame on you, Planet Fitness!!!update 7-29-2020. I read your response and apparently you can not read or just dont care. The quickest way is NOT to visit the website or call my local store. I called the store and the little clerk on the phone abruptly cut me off mid-sentence and told me the policy is the policy... During a lock down we are REQUIRED to visit the store or visit the post office. Why is you policy so absurd? Why are you being so hard to work with?

The employees are as bias as it gets. They will tell you to put a mask on as someone else without a mask on walks right by. I pay them my hard earned money to workout at the facility and the employees always have something to say, it makes you not want to workout here.

I absolutely love how professional and friendly the staff is at my Summerville Planet Fitness! They are the reason I keep coming back, and have been for a few years now. The facility is always clean and the equipment is always working properly. I am someone who can be turned off by smells in a gym very easily, and Ive never had that issue at this location. You have no idea how much I appreciate that.

This PF is very nice. The facility is overall very clean and the staff friend and helpful. I think this location is one of the busiest, but I have always found the machines I use after a quick wait. Only problem is parking can get bad and you might have to park in front of PSA.

First off, we have not joined....yet. My husband and I just went to check it out and WOW! This is a very nice gym, loads of cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights. Super friendly staff. Our gym is closing at the end of this month so Planet fitness here we come in August! (Unless a miracle occurs to keep our gym open).

Great place to work out. Also, the hydrobeds are plain out awesome. I recommend anybody going. Its very inexpensive and you can bring a friend with the black membership.

Love my workouts here. I never feel like people are staring or judging and the machines are pretty much self explanatory. I mainly do strength training as I get plenty of cardio at work and home. Love the tanning beds and hydro massage too. Eventually I will start using the total body enhancement machine again, but right now I dont feel like getting undressed and redressed so much, lol. I will be glad when they can go back to 24hrs as before covid.
