I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again. The only thing that I would have been a bonus is I made a request in advance for a late check out because I was doing a lot of driving and I did a reminder request that day of my check-in but they were unable to accommodate. That didnt diminish my stay though. The room was clean, the bed super comfortable and the ac worked. It is true you can hear action in the hallways or if the person ext door is loud and it sounded like a pet animal was visiting next to me but it wasnt at a point were it disrupted me. If theres a party or a family with lots of kids playing in the hallways or maybe unruly Teens I can see that being a problem. The front desk receptionist was friendly when I arrived and I needed extra soap and shower caps and that was provided for me. I didnt try room service or the bistro downstairs but I do know they had one available. Also I didnt use it but the fitness room and pool were also open.Finding the entrance can be a bit tricky especially in the dark for the first time. Definitely use your GPS. And be careful of deer, foxes and bunnies. The Courtyard is on the right. Its in a nice area with a good amount of places to eat and not far from a selection of others if the ones near by doesnt appease your palette.
The location was good for getting to the beach easy and had a lot of good shopping and places to eat near by. The staff and management were NOT on the same page at all. I called for a room with a balcony and was told they had one. A few hours later I got a call saying they didn’t cause they were sold out. Being a Platinum Elite member I expected more but got less. Late check out is usually ok but once again I called to the front desk and they told me sure 3pm would be fine. Only to find out at 115 I needed to wake up quick take a shower and get out by 2. Better teamwork with good communication is so greatly appreciated. It can and will reduce frustration with loyal customers.
Positive: Convenient, normally very clean and rooms are well prepared. Negative: On our previous stay, we only had a nearly empty roll of toilet paper. No replacement or extra roll on the room. On the last stay our bath tub was not draining. I called the front desk and was told that maintenance was only expected later. No resolution
Comfortable, clean and convenient king suite. Quiet atmosphere with local amenities. Definitely would stay again. Marriott rarely disappoints.
Staff was nice and welcoming and the rooms were clean!! Will stay again!
Horrible customer service! Went to check in & our room was given away! Was told by the manager that they tried to charge my card but it declined so they had to cancel reservations! So I had NO room at the very last minute!!!! He was arrogant about it also! Like he didn’t have a care for our situation! Didn’t offer to to help find another location or anything! If there was an issue with the payment, seeing that it’s check in day, why not reach out to make sure of things to the least? If I don’t cancel in time I’m still being charged, but when they cancel at the last minute it’s ok? Found out through a family member that works there that he gave our room away to accommodate a family that needed 1 more room @ check in! Marriotts are really horrible, customer service doesn’t help nor accommodate you! I’ll only stay at the Hilton’s from now on! Rode around having to find somewhere to stay for hours! The card that was on file was the card I used to make reservations months before I lost the card. The payment did not go through cause it was a new card! If they reply to the complaint, they’re going to say that the manager was right & that the payment had to be available! I’ve never been charged for a room before I checked in!!!!!! Customer service is not common when it comes to an issue with Marriott! Everything is great until they find that you’re right & they’re wrong!
Beautiful hotel. Nicely furnished. Very clean. I have to share I tried to save a buck and booked us a place for two nights at the HomeTowne Studios in Newport News. It had decent reviews. What a filthy horrible place it was. That old saying You get what you pay for is so very true. I felt like the little boy in Home Alone when I walked into my Courtyard by Marriott room. I wanted to jump up and down on the bed it was so nice. But Grammys arent supposed to do that.
Positive: Convenient for our needs Negative: No extra toilet paper in the bathroom. Just a mostly used roll.
Quiet, clean and the staff were most helpful. I will definitely return here during my monthly trips to Southern Virginia.
Excellent, the staff was great and very helpful. Valerie was wonderful, the rooms were very clean. They had a bar/bistro but it was closed
Enjoyed my stay very much! The bed and pillows very comfy!
Booked a large room with a King size bed and pullout in separate rooms (aka a suite with no dividing door). We were booked into a room with a king bed and pullout in the same room. Basically this is not what we booked, and upon showing the photos and receipt to the front desk guy working on the night of May 28, he said that the larger King rooms simply dont exist. The Marriott website and hotels.com state that the rooms exist. That was it for me. I had booked for four nights for my wife and toddler, but decided to check out the very next morning. Pathetic.
No complaints. Room was clean, bedding was clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would stay here again.
Clean and very nice... Needs more lighting in parking lot... Dark
Weird entrance to parking lot. Room was hot when we got in. Found old toothbrush tangled in bedcover. Staff were very warm and friendly.
5 stars, for a chain hotel that serves business travelers and contractors, it is hard to beat the accommodations. Clean and comfortable, staff is also very friendly. It is not a high end hotel, but higher end for us that are living out of hotels week to week.
Very clean and neat, calm as well.. pleasant stay
The whole entire reason I booked this room is because when I called and spoke to lady who answered phone I specifically asked her was the pool open. She offered no other information other than yes. Fast forward to check in day and when I asked man at desk was the pool open he said yes but there has to be a reservation. No openings until tomorrow at 11 am. I’m very disappointed because it’s stressful enough traveling due to Covid-19 and after a year of staying home I finally had less anxiety about traveling. I just cannot stress how disappointed I am. Wish I could get a total refund and go back home. My 12 year old son is the main reason I’m staying. Also the loud children next door isn’t helping either.
The staff was nice and the pool area was very sanitary which is important due to Covid however my room key constantly had issues, the internet gave me issues while trying to work, and certain areas of my room were dusty.
Room was very clean and spacious the staff were a delight I will definitely be back one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. Highly recommended
Beautiful hotel, very helpful staff.
Best stay Ive experienced so far. Friendly staff and a clean room. Usually when I stay in a hotel my allergies act up but this place is clean. No allergy problems from the dust. There are hotels still not doing a thorough cleaning during the pandemic. This place is worth the money and going back to.
Positive: The cleanliness and professionalism, very peaceful.
It was so nice frontdesk was so polite and helpful would stay again
Very clean. Close by shopping!
Positive: The location was great. Negative: That the restaurant in the hotel was not open.
Now usually I love this hotel ! But on my last visit 1/1-1/2 it wasn’t all that great there was a group of guest and they smelled of marijuana which is none of my business but it was so strong to when you opened the door to the elevator you smelled it and I got a headache instantly and the in the hallways it was worse, I don’t know can really be done but that was horrible I called to see if maybe I could get my room switches but NOONE reached back out . I’m hoping they can get this problem under control . Other then that they are a great hotel clean and well put together and quiet for the most part this one time was just not so good.
Saturday front desk teammates was matter of fact..
This was the nastiest hotel Ive ever stayed at. The hotel has roaches. I mean huge roaches. The 1st time I seen one they switched my room. I was not even in that room for 3 hours and they switched it again because a queen roach came out & it looked pregnant. What are the odds seeing 2 different roaches in 2 different rooms in one night. I called the front desk and they said we sprayed last week. So they knew they had a pest problem. I have photos to prove it! They changed my room for the third time no bugs but I couldnt even sleep. Never again.
Positive: The WiFi was great, had refrigerator and microwave. Negative: There wasnt a light near doorway so you can be seen in mirror, the bathroom light fan is loud, & the cable went out during the night even with 40 channels, thats the only bad things we noticed. Everything else was fine. Some things were closed due to co
Pretty disappointed at the monment as we planned to chill in the hot tub and we check in, schedule a time to find out the hot has been tiled over. The room has obviousl broken furniture with stains and spots of sticker residue on the cabinets. I just cant understand why the manager/owner thinks that it is ok to book a room in this shape or allow the blatant miss advertisement of the hot tube.
Had to stay for an unexpected length of time during unprecedented times. At all times, ALL staff members were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Very clean hotel and rooms are very nice. Will make sure on my return trips that I stay here.
Very nice hotel. Great value for the rate. Clean and well maintained. And the manager Kevon is top notch.
Great service and friendly staff! Room is clean. Gym still available and pool by reservation.
What happened to Marriott? This was the worst Courtyard I have ever stayed in. The Market (convience store) near empty, the elevator EXTREMELY slow, no in room internet that worked consistently, no smart TV, no coffee or muffin in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the lady at the check in was very nice.
Very nice hotel. Clean and quite. I enjoyed my stay here
Getting to a from this location was challenging. Ride share did not work well because it is out of the way. I would recommend renting a car if you are staying here. There was no food service during the time of day of my stay 2:00 pm -5:00 am; plan accordingly.
Great staff! Attentive and helpful. Reasonably priced.
I was at this Courtyard for 2 days for a family reunions in the Portsmouth area. The location was outstanding for where my family reunions was being held. I had a room on the first floor . I only interact with the front desk and they was wonderful. I had a king-size bed and a couch room. And it was very quiet. Love it
I was attending a Pastors Conference in Newport News, VA and this hotel was actually 11 miles from the site. Upon checking in, Ms. Karen assisted me and her customer services skills are impeccable. Compared to other hotels in which Ive stayed, the room was a little small, yet comfortable. The Bistro was very nice and classy and all of the hotel personnel were very friendly. The only small issue I encountered was the first day my room was not cleaned upon returning to the hotel. This may have been a result of lack of personnel and the attendant was apologetic and very nice. My stay was very pleasurable and I would recommend this hotel and return for another visit.
We walked in to great customer service and the place smelled great. Room was a good size and cozy.
Other than its close proximity to my work location, and the fact that the food and servers were very good (Ill rate #10 for the restaurant and servers), my stay was not high quality like I expected for a Courtyard by Marriott. For starters, I made a reservation for a 1-KING bed suite a month prior to my arrival, and even reserved it with a credit card. So, this is supposed to guarantee your reservation right? Not so much. I get to my room and discover that it is a room with 2-QUEEN beds, not the 1-KING bed that I reserved. Tired from having spent hours on the road and now irritated, I go back down to the front desk to inquire, and the man at the desk nonchalantly stated well Im sorry, we sold out of all of our king beds. How can this be when I specifically made a reservation for one? He stated his response again, in a this is all we have so take it or leave it kind of attitude, which I did not appreciate and it left much to be desired. There was a lady in an office directly behind the front counter who obviously heard my inquiry (I could tell by how she smiled at me when I walked by) but at no point did she come out to assist or help rectify the situation. The room was livable but it had a slight mildew smell as well. Again, I just expected much better than what I received.
I have been staying at this hotel for years. I loved its location and how nice the hotel was relative to the price. However, this last time I felt like I was staying in a 2 star hotel in a bad part of town. One of the beds had dirty sheets, the bathroom door handle is falling off, the heater/AC smells, room service didnt come till after we got ba k from work around 430pm (if they came at all), people were loud, their were questionable individuals hanging out in the parking lot, the pool is cold, I have no idea when the kitchen is open or even what they offer, our room keys kept not working, and the staff just wasnt super pleasant. It was very disappointing.
Modern design and aesthetic. Only met one Staff member so far, but she was pleasant and courteous.
I have been staying in Marriott hotels exclusively since the late 70s. I am a lifetime platinum member.I am sorry to say, I would not recommend this hotel or its sister hotel and I will do everything in my power to avoid this hotel in the future.
Poorly maintained hotel with confused front desk staff: I was initially given a key to an occupied room, then another to a room with rodents. This was my worst hotel experience ever at a Marriott
The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel was clean inside and out. My only issue is the bed was very uncomfortable. I woke up with a backache. It’s time to consider new mattresses. For this reason I cannot say I’d recommend this hotel. One of the main reasons people stay at a hotel is to have someone comfortable to sleep. This didn’t happen although, everything else was great.
I stayed here for 12 days and the service was excellent. The hotel room was clean, the bed comfortable, and had everything I needed. Overall was stay was great and would stay here again. The internet was fast, I had no problem connecting or with buffering. Three employees at this hotel were the most helpful and were very friendly. They are Danielle Davis, Jevon, and Allison their friendly and informative attitude was great.
Just stopped through on a long drive. Was there long enough to enjoy a drink from the bar, shower, and sleep. The room was perfect for a good nights rest. Bed was super comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The bar tender was friendly and eager to assist.
Great Stay!! Nice bed!
This hotel doesnt disappoint. I got an early check in at 12:30 which was really nice since I arrived from out of town earlier than I expected to. Room was clean. Property was clean. Breakfast was included in my stay and it was really good. Great hotel! I dont have a single negative thing to say. My experience was amazing! My family loves this hotel.
Very nice hotel in a very nice area. I do not have any complaints.
We were very pleased with our hotel stay. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of parking. The staff was welcoming. The room was attractive and clean. Our room was located in an area of the hotel that was very quiet. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.
Nice place. Friendly staff.
When you need some peace
The ANFPVA Conference was held at Sysco, 10/23-24/19. The hotel was chosen because of its close proximity to Sysco, and of course the brand, and because we got a great rate, being a non profit. I was so pleased that I chose this hotel for our conference. Going forward, I will most definitely look at Marriottt Bonvoy for our upcoming conferences. It really was just that good!
Great stay. Customer service is excellent and doesnt seem force from every member on the staff. Only had one issue which was resolved promptly. The only thing that bothered me was that I wasnt able to check out a day early because I did confirm with them when they put a note under my door. 😒
Great hotel and staff. However- We prepaid and were charged for incidentals when we did not purchase anything. When I checked out I was told there was a zero balance. A few days later the hotel charged my credit card. I called the hotel directly and was told I was not charged. I explained I was as I was looking at my credit card statement. The hotel told me I had to contact my bank. I did and my bank gave me the refund. It all seemed very suspicious.
I recently had an overnight stay at this hotel. It was very neat and clean. I arrived about 11PM and the young lady on the front desk was extremely pleasant to work with. Check-in was seamless and my room was amazingly comfy. My next visit to the area will definitely include a stay at this Marriott, again.

Tucked away in Suffolk, the hotel is a bit off the beaten path. It was ideally suited for my business at the LM Center for Innovation (walking distance), but as I had no vehicle, it was problematic that the closest shops/restaurants are at least a mile away. If the hotel had breakfast included or at a more affordable rate, Id be more inclined toward a glowing review. The Room was comfortable, but the heat was very inconsistent and there was a bit of a musty smell. Overall a good location, but not ideal for long stays or for business other than what is in the immediate area.
The staff was very helpful. We asked for a role away bed when we called to book, and it was in the room waiting for us when we got there. Lot less hassle than weve come to expect at other places. Never did get the internet to connect, but it was a short stay so we never called to have it looked at. Wasnt a fan of the breakfast options..
Excellent hotel accommodations! Clean and comfortable rooms! Staff professional and friendly! Restaurant able to meet dietary restrictions and did so kindly! Great location and ample parking!
This property is kept well up to date with the latest in hotel fashion. The common areas and my room were also very well kept and clean. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. I was in the area for a very quick visit to a friend. I am originally from the area, so I can say that this hotel is ideally located if you are vacationing in the area and plan to visit Williamsburg, VA Beach, Norfolk and Jamestown. It isnt the closest choice to any of these destinations, but if you are trying to get in more than one on your trip the hotel is central to all.
This hotel is clean, the staff is very curteous, and eager to please. The rooms are spacious, the internet is great, the food is pricey and you do not get a decent amount for the price. The pool is great, down side, no hot tub. Overall my stay was great!!!
The staff treated us well-not just another face for another weekend. The lobby area was pleasant and well set up: an area for printing boarding passes with a reading/quiet area; a nice fire side seating area plus a dining area for the food counter. Food was good. Room was spacious even with a king bed. Nice setup with desk and couch/ottoman
One of the best experiences we have ever had and we travel a lot. We were there for a wedding and everyone was so considerate and getting us the rooms where we wanted and when we wanted them.Karen at the front desk was incredible. Friendly and kind and provided exceptional service.
I was at the hotel to attend the 3 wheel motorcycle training. We used the main conference room, it was very clean and they had water set up for us. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathrooms were clean. The food area was also very clean and the overall feel was welcoming. I didnt stay overnight so I cannot speak to that.
Beautiful hotel and convenient location. Booked hotel as a group for a baseball tournament, so received an excellent rate. Spacious rooms, comfy beds and hospitable staff. Would come back and stay at this hotel for many different events: leisure, beach trip, shopping or sporting event.
Overall the hotel was nice, we loved that it was in a quiet area away from everything but also gave us easy access to the interstate/highways. I absolutely loved Xavier (maybe spelling and pronouncing it wrong) but he worked at the front desk and he was very professional, polite, courtesy and very informative about the hotel and things to do in the area. We ask him about things to do, see and visit in the area and he gave us very good recommendations. Our rooms were (2 king rooms) were very roomy and clean. We also loved the lobby which was very relaxing and a great meeting place for our group. Everything was just great and we would definitely stay again... Thanks for having us! :-)
Very nice modern hotel. Very well maintained. Spacious room. Accommodated a King bed and pull out couch with room to spare. Room smelled wonderful upon entry. Front desk staff very informative. Very close to shopping and food. A bit of a commute to Hampton (where our even was) and Virginia Beach but a great option at a great price especially for Memorial Day weekend. Very pleased with our overnight stay!
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF (KAREN)WAS ALSO VERY HELPFUL TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I WILL BE RETURNING TO THIS LOCATION SOON. I LOVE THE CONVENIENCE OF THE HOTEL TO GET TO MANY DIRECTIONS ON THE INTERSTATE
Have stayed at this hotel for 70+ nights in the past year. The staff and managers are excellent and attentive. The hotel and rooms are very clean and well kept. The rooms have a good sized fridge and theres a microwave available for use in the lobby. Generally speaking, the guests are business folks with others staying for the weekend. The lobby area has 2 computers that you can print from, a fireplace, TV and good-sized sitting area. There is a daily breakfast buffet available - $10 for adults/$5 for children. They have an omelet and made-to-order egg station. Other foods include scrambled eggs, biscuits/gravy, bacon, sausage, muffins/bagels, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. There is a small convenince store-type area that sells snacks, sodas, and some over-the-counter medications. The pool is small and the jacuzzi hits the spot. The gym only has basic cardio equipment - treadmills, elliptical, and bikes. Highly recommend
The staff is outstanding, every time one of the staff seen me, they spoke and ask about my stay and if I needed anything. Very clean, comfortable beds and nice showers. I will be staying here on a regular basis. I would recommend this place to my mother, which says slot. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Nice room and swift check-in. Wish one could adjust the angle of shower head since I am shorter. Room temp as comfortable- at least for me. Dont recall get name but the gal at the Bistro Sat its at night (on the 7th at 9pm) is super nice. Also breakfast Sun morning with lemon ricotta pancakes was him my. And again...great service by the two young ladies. Fast checkout. Ps..could use a few extra pillows maybe out them in the wardrobe hard to prop up in bed was only reason for not five star but was my choice not to call. AND There really should be ice machine on the second floor. Would stay again.
Wonderful Staff (especially Tabitha and Curtis). It would be nice to have access to breakfast!Very clean comfortable hotel, not overpriced, very accommodating! Best shower since a trip to Cabo Mexico. Our only issue dealt with the heat--very cold in Virginia during this particular Thanksgiving week and the heat was uneven, letting cold drafts in when the automatic heat turned off. Hence we had to keep the thermostat up to 72 degrees. We have been traveling to Suffolk to my in-laws for over 25 years multiple times a year, I WILL DEFINITELY RESERVE THIS HOTEL Again in the near future! I loved the hotel!
The Marriott courtyard in Suffolk was convenient to my business meeting. The rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy and the staff was friendly. Good internet speed.
Courtyard by Marriott was excellent! The location is secluded and quiet but only minutes away from major interstate or shopping access with an in house dining/bar experience that rivals some of the higher price hotel establishments. The staff was professional, friendly and attentive to everyone in my party and we especially like the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. I would definitely visit again!
Pleasant and quiet resting and meeting place just South of the James. Excellent location for gathering family and friends from Newport News/Hampton/Suffolk/Portsmouth and Virginia Beach.
I would recommend anyone to this hotel. The property inside and out is very tidy and clean, even though they didnt have a fire pit as the website said it was still nice. I stay in the area and just got a room for the kids could get in the pool. For the price they exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and up to date decor, the bed was super comfy and the omelet made to order was delicious. Perfect family getaway location.
Stayed at the Courtyard Suffolk Chesapeake for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Staff we extremely helpful, friendly, courteous and polite. Food was great and the service was impeccable. Room upkeep and decor were posh. We had a number of family there for a funeral and the staff all offered their condolences and made us feel very welcome and at home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
What can be said Marriott is very consistent with there establishments....no complimentary breakfast though.... that I think should be standard by now in all hotels lol... just my opinion
Excellent visit to the hotel. All staff members were extremely nice and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay again as my travels bring me back to the area!
We stayed at the Marriott in Suffolk, Va because our house was being painted. We stayed several days. The first night we checked in we were hungry so they have burger bistro and the young lady who was supposed to serving the guest was just sitting at another area doing homework which I didn’t have a problem but when you see the guest and you know you should stop what your doing and wait on the customer she act like we were disturbing her. So, I was like maybe she was having a bad day but the next day she did the same thing and when she fixed the food, she didn’t wash her hands before putting on the gloves. My family and I decided to eat elsewhere. The other staff were very polite. Housekeeping was so nice, I would give housekeeping five stars. But the lady at burger bistro I would give her zero.
Pleasant visit. Nice clean hotel with chic look. Reasonably priced. Hotel associate who checked us in was upbeat, pleasant and informative. The night time clerk was also helpful. Hotel conveniently located near stores and places to eat by car. We would stay here again the next time we visit our relatives. I love staying at Marriott properties.
My weeklong stay at the Courtyard Marriott was excellent. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was spacious, modern with nice decor and had all the standard room amenities. The bathroom was excellent with plenty of space. The small fitness room had adequate cardio equipment, though the treadmills seemed a bit dated. I did not use the indoor pool, but since it was viewable from the fitness room, I noticed that it was a nice area, but the pool was fairly small in size.
From start to finish this stay was wonderful. Room and bathroom was clean, kitchen well equipped and staff accomodating. Would return and recommend. The only negative is the height of getting on and off the bed; need a step stool if vertically challenged. Plenty of places to eat in the area; try Metro Diner not too far from hotel or buy food and prepare in room, Walmart always available.
Nice clean property
The room is great. Looks newly renovated with all the amenities that I could need. Spacious room and close to restaurants and shopping. Will definitely stay here again.
I stayed at the Courtyard Suffolk/Chesapeake for two nights in early August 2016. The hotel was very convenient - just off the freeway, shopping and food within a mile - the area was quiet, the building and facilities were in good shape, and the room was very nice. I had a king room, not particularly large but very well appointed, which had a different configuration than most places I have stayed at over the years. Interestingly, the bed actually faced the window instead of the opposite wall with the window off to the side, as in so many hotels. Could’ve used a light right inside the door over the full-length mirror to more easily facilitate more than one person dressing at the same time. Bed was extremely comfortable; linens, towels and curtains – both window and shower - clean and of good quality. The bath was not only spotless and large, but in great physical shape… that is, none of the grout, tile or detail issues that, again, you see even in so many upscale hotels these days. Both pools – indoor and outdoor - were small and shallow, but extremely clean. Lets just say you can get wet but you wont be swimming any laps. Based on my overall experience this is a quality, well-maintained and solidly managed hotel…I recommend it and will definitely stay here again.
My family and I stayed for 6 nights during a state softball tournament. We were there with 10 other families. The faculty were so nice to all our girls! Even accommodating the girls line dancing in the lobby! We had such a great time. Everyone was super nice and everything was clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
We stayed overnight for my daughters Birthday. She wanted a small pool party with some friends. We used the door and outdoor pools. Plenty of towels and the kids had an awesome time. The room was clean and well maintained. The lobby was updated and very nice equipped with an adequate bar large tvs and lounge chairs to relax.
The rooms were clean and modern with great lighting and internet service. We enjoyed a personal note from the cleaning staff and the swan-shaped towel. The breakfast buffet was a delicious; especially, the omelet bar. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We asked for extra towels and another quilt which was delivered within 10 minutes. The location is near a major interstate which was convenient for us.
This hotel is incredibly clean and the hotel staff is very friendly! It is very convenient to a variety of restaurants. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.
My room was spotlessly clean, the desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. For the modest price, the room was very nice. The only food on site is a Starbucks-esque cafe in the lobby, but more options are available within a very short driving distance.
I looked and reviewed hotels in various parts of Virginia, for a short vacation with my family. I came across this hotel. I read a few rating and saw a few pictures. Words can not explain how satisfied my family and I were when we arrived.Awesome location, clean and updated rooms. Restaurants and stores are available in the area, and a super clean pool area. We had a great time. I wish all hotels were as pleasurable to stay in. The Courtyard Marriott in suffolk chesapeak is the best.Go Marriott!!!
I thought that the food was overpriced. There was no free coffee offered. My room was not cleaned for 3 days! The cooling system was not able to be regulated. It would be hot and then freezing. There was no safe in the room. I have stayed at many Marriott hotels and this one was terrible!
