Ive been a client of Jessica Wade at Shine Hair Designs for years. Lately shes been helping me embrace my gray by blending my colors so I have aore natural look without the dreaded gray root line. As a result of her blending genius over previous visits, today I needed no color at all. She just provided me with a lovely deep conditioning treatment, nice trim, and beautiful style. I left feeling fabulous as I always do!

Everyone was very nice. Z was my stylist. She took her time with me, taught me how to care for my hair and really listened to my wants. It was a great experience and I love my hair!

I was appalled at the lack of concern for clients health and the cavalier attitude concerning vaccination. I decided to find another salon, all the stylists are vaccinated at my new salon, my stylist suggested a new haircut and color, which has been great. My former stylist appeared bored with my hair and never suggested anything new.

I went here because it had such great reviews online and most of the comments recommended Jessica so I booked with her.She is a fine hairdresser but she didn’t seem to care about what the parent wanted she asked my kid which is fine but he’s 7 and does really know.He wanted to keep his hair longer it took him all year to grow it like Simon from 7th heaven.I showed her a picture and told her then he ended up with really short hair with longer sideburns.I showed my son and asked her to fix the sideburns.He’s upset now and starts school soon.I understand you want to do what kids want which is fine but you should still check with a parent we know our kids better and I always ask what my kids want before we go in so I can tell the hairdresser.I ended up paying $60 for one haircut and one trim for my other kid and still left unhappy.I will not be returning.

Have only been here once, very nice location. Beautiful inside, employees very welcoming, clean location. That being. Giving it 5 stars or an honest review off one visit is hard . You and your stylist have to get to know each other . How they cut hair and what hair needs you have. Off my first hair cut it was just ok. It felt a little rushed . They had just opened and there was no one there . You cant rush quality. I like to go 3 to 4 times to give an 100% honest review. So will definitely update for sure after coming back. I have never been a fan of getting a fast hair cut . Paying $27.00 for something that I can go and get a $10 for 10 minutes at a barber shop isnt something that interests me . Paying more, should take a little more time and attention to detail . I did however like my stylist and will try a few more times. I know some other people that go here and love it so very interested in seeing what develops from here. I am looking for a permanent stylist, jumping from location to location takes to much time so hopefully I have found a home for my hair needs.

Xylina was amazing! My hair was almost to my butt and fried, she cut off exactly what I wanted and dyed it beautifully! Especially for any sort of balayage, 10/10 recommend this place and definitely ask for XYLINA!!

I had been searching for someone to do my hair with no luck. I wont mention the other local salon I had a terrible experience with, however I would like to say I scheduled an appointment here the morning of my event which saved me immensely. When I arrived I noticed my stylist was late and I was getting anxious. I found out the receptionist scheduled my appointment wrong but Taylor squeezed me in and explained what happened. Very appreciative considering my time frame issue. She was friendly and down to earth, not snotty like my experience elsewhere. I asked for a certain look which I will post below. I think she did a great job especially given the time crunch.(Im the brunette)

Upset with what I left with. Pictures show my hair length curled one week ago and what I went in and asked for. 3-4 inches off is all I wanted. She hacked off 6-7! It’s sooo short and my wedding is in 9 mths. Lord pray my hair grows a little. Not at all what I asked for and I hate my hair. I could have paid $20 at hair cuttery if I wanted it all chopped off not the $60 this cost. Didn’t style it either this was my attempt at curling it once I got home hoping it would look better.

I have had Becky cut and color my hair for several years and have NEVER been disappointed. She has a positive, upbeat personality and while she is doing your hair you can tell she loves her job. The shop is clean, organized, and very well run. I refer them to as many people as I can.

Lovely place, I had Jennifer do my hair and she was very friendly and extremely competent. She talked me through what I wanted and offered lots of options and asked for my opinion throughout the whole process. Definitely going back!

I have been to Reactions a few times in the past but nothing compared to my recent visit with Brittany. She knew EXACTLY what I wanted when I described it to her and she was super fun to talk to . She even let me know that they could donate my hair for me since I was cutting a lot of length off! I highly recommend her and will be returning in another month to get my hair trimmed.

Two years later I decided to leave a review because my hair is still damage. Two years ago I went to go blonde and the lady used a lot of heat on my hair when the hair dye was in it. This was my first time ever going blonde, and I have light brown hair. Long story short my hair was chemically damaged gets knotted up and dry so easily ever since. And I had to pay around $200... yeah this place is money hungry but can’t make it worth your money.

My hair stylist moved here so I thought I would give it a try. I liked them fine for awhile. My daughter recently went to get her spilt ends trimmed. They raised the price for a womens haircut from $27 to $48 dollars. Oh my goodness!!! They do way more work on a mans haircut then a womens trim. A mans is still $27. What a rip off! Dont go here the charge too much!

I recently got my first haircut and color since February. I was somewhat leery but my concerns were quickly put to rest. Social distancing, masks and constant cleaning were evident. I appreciate that Kristian and the stylists take Covid 19 seriously. Not all salons do. Great haircut and color .

Every person in that place says hi to me and is very polite. Paige is the only person that I will let cut my hair. She has been cutting my hair for at least 5-6 years now and I recommend her to anyone looking for a haircut, new hair style, hair coloring, etc. I have referred friends to her and they are all going back to her as regular customers.

I had a consultation with Taylor to talk about my hair ideas and goals. She was very realistic with me and explained what we would have to do, immediately and long term, to meet my goals. My first appointment with her was suuuper long but my hair came out perfect for the phase I am in currently! My price ended up being less than quoted, which was wonderful but not expected. Everybody I encountered at the salon was friendly and the ladies all have very well kept, clean appearances which goes a long way when you’re sitting somewhere trying to better yourself! I cannot wait to keep working with Taylor!

So I found Reactions over a year ago as a walk in when I relocated to the area. Paige has been the only person to touch my hair since!! She has great vision and helps bring my ideas to life. We have so much fun with cut, color, and style. After many botched jobs at typical walk in places, my 2 boys and other half see Paige as well. We love that Paige always makes time for us and keeps us all looking sharp! The boyfriend has done walk ins with other stylists that he has enjoyed too, but he always ends back at Paige. She keeps his brows and beard on point too! We love Reactions!

I am so grateful and happy with my haircut and style by Kristian today. I donated 10 of hair and left with the most refreshing and stylish bob. They even mail out my donated hair for me! Kristian was patient while I discussed what I wanted and gave great advice to make sure I was happy with the end result. The ladies greeted me with a smile, offered me a drink and took care of me as a walk in. Very clean and welcoming salon. I would gladly recommend this salon to anyone.

We were in Virginia for my nieces wedding and my sister and I had our hair done the morning of. Not only did my hair come out amazing, but I fell asleep before taking it out and it still looked good in the morning. Definitely would go back to this place if I am up that way and have any hair needs.

I never let anyone cut my hair for years I got it colored and highlights and cut this morning I dont like it I think I want little wavy or little curl. I am so upset because I was charged 410.00 and the color is coming out I wash my hair every other day in cold water like I was told ...and as for cut it doesnt lay like the picture I took in ...the highlights and color after washing I hate, I paid all that money and the supposed treatment I paid extra for my hair is frizzy, I was gonna return to have it fixed but I refuse to pay 410 again. I was refused a receipt when asked for it...I never let anyone do my hair before and after this I really not wanting anyone touch it but its not the colored I want it looks nothing like picture I showed them after it was washed highlights arent even noticeable like I wanted....I am very displeased with the results now.... especially 410.00 later

I came in about 2 weeks ago to get my hair dyed dark black and the color is already fading out my ends are back to brown it’s frustrating that I payed $140 and my hair is already faded back to brown, I should of just dyed my hair myself. I even called to ask if it was normal my hair dye was washing out already they said yes, I listened to them about showering in cold water and using the correct shampoo but my hair still faded. Waste of money, I should of did it myself if I knew it was only going to last 2 weeks

I went to Reactions as a walk in. Paige cut my hair and I couldnt have been happier. She explained her process, listened to my concerns and did a wonderful job. I just went back for color and again Paige did an amazing job. Prices are comparable to other salons in the area.

I saw Kaitlynn after battling with a crippling depressive episode. I decided to get up and go cut my long hair into a medium length bob. She did an AMAZING job and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I feel so much better and do not regret cutting my long tresses one bit. Love this place, will definitely be going back.

I set up an appointment for Coloring, cut and Style and was assigned to AJ. I had never previously colored my hair and had always wanted to add Purple to my dark brown hair. I cannot say enough how amazing a job he did. Although the process was pricey, he did such a good job that it was worth it. He devoted three hours to giving me the purple hair of my dreams. By the end of it, he was died purple nearly from hands to elbows. I will definitely go back to see him if I decide to do this again.

I absolutly loved this place not to mention the awsome customer service and Paige did a amazing job on my cut and color litterly told her to use her imagination and she deffently did her thing and shows the love for her job in what she does not to mention the knowledge she has for it .... I give this place 10 stars and will deffently be back

I have over 4 ft long hair. Paige did an amazing Brazilian blowout to my hair. Shes also done my eyebrows flawlessly several times and cuts both of my childrens hair. My daughter has natural curls and my son is a rambunctious 2 year old who doesnt like to sit still. She has exceeded my expectations with her skills numerous times. Would absolutely recommend reactions and specifically Paige.

Bit pricey compared to getting a mens cut elsewhere, but very good quality if you have medium or long hair. Courtney did my wifes hair for our wedding and it was stunning. Weve gone to her for every cut since then. Staff is always friendly. Wide range of hours available to fit your schedule.

I have been coming to Reactions for years. I followed Becky here and I have not been sorry. When it comes to hair color these ladies are the best at it. When she was sick and I really needed to have something done, Brandy filled in and made me look great. I am always greeted with a smile and they work with my crazy hours. Call, go in, see any of these ladies and you wont be sorry. You will look awesome whether you are young or young at heart.

I never leave a bad review but I got my haircut today and it might have been the WORST haircut I have ever gotten in my life. I got a hard part on both sides and they are far from even. The haircut looks terrible. The lady cutting my hair was very nice but not quite sure what she was thinking when she was messing me up.

My wife and I have been using this salon for over 5 yrs. Becky is a great hair stylist. The whole team makes their customers feel comfortable. Love this place.

While I have gotten two good haircuts here with a friendly stylist- my complaint is that their stated pricing is subjective based upon the opinion of the stylist. My teenage daughter was upcharged without informing her first. I find that extremely irritating.

Yesterday I went to supercuts (yes I know I shouldnt of) and they completely messed up my hair cut so bad! And today I just left reactions hair design and Kaitlyn was amazing she made my entire day ! She fixed my hair and didnt even charge me! What a life saver !! I highly recommend kaitlyn she knows her stuff! I will deff be back!

I took my 13-year old to Reactions for a major haircut. Jessica did such a great job, that I had her do my cut, color and highlights and she did a fantastic job. All of the staff here is super friendly and I recommend Reactions to anyone looking for excellent services at a reasonable price.

I always have awesome time at reactions and everyone is nice and talks to me. I see paige all the time especially because she awesome at her job, very professional and a friend. I am long time customer of this place, since they were in Churchland area when Heather was there...I used to love this place, first Becky tried to reschedule me several times, and she didnt want to give sufficient time and the excuse was I have a lot of hair. Maybe they need bold clients.Then I moved to Brandee, which she is a great human being but last couple of times I had unexpected coloring results. Last one; instead of making balayage she made my hair orange. she told me if I give extra $10 she could make it smooth. I paid hundreds over time, I tipped $20-25 each time and I didnt think it was appropriate. It wasnt money, but the time; I will spend my scarce time for her to fix her mistake??? Unrealistic...Then I went back her one more time for just a blow dry and told her how I felt, I couldnt hold it in me...I think I am a better hair dresser and can make my roots at least look more natural not red.Now I switched to another hair dresser.Its a shame quality changes over time...But my husband still goes there for a haircut.

Im new to the area and was looking for a salon replacement. I called and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes before hanging up. I persisted because the reviews were good and I really needed to get my ends trimmed. I was able to get an appointment the same day.The waiting room is nonexistent. There are a few chairs similar to SuperCuts (actually the whole salon looks similar to a SuperCuts). The greeting, upon my arrival, was lackluster. However, I was taken back promptly. The stylist was nice and made conversation. The chair I sat in to have my hair washed was broken and it took three tries to get my head tilted back because it kept moving. My cut is okay. My style was fine. When I went to pay, my stylist hung out by the front desk and watched as the receptionist noted the tip I left for her. I tipped well, but that was still awkward.Overall, I was disappointed. For the prices, I expected more of a salon experience. I wont be back.

My wife was left with a terrible hair cut after asking Chelsea to shave the nape area of her head/neck to help with hair volume and density. The line work isnt even and the shaving was done off centered and its very easily noticed. my wife was in tears do to the fact that she was nervous to get this kind of cut to begin with and it came out terribly. This not only made my wife very distraught, she is now ashamed to pull her hair into a pony tail. Now I have to find a competent stylist to fix what she did. This pathetic excuse of a hair cut costed me $50! Never coming back or recommending.

Ive been with Reactions for about a year and a half now. It is such a wonderful place, the environment is always welcome and friendly with smiles on everyones faces. The service is almost always right on time, drinks and refreshments are offered, and there are millions of magazines for all ages and genders. :) Ive had my hair done by a few different stylists all with great results. Highlights, color, cut, moisture treatments, keratin treatments, Ive had it all, and its fantastic. The Reactions girls know how to treat their clients and LISTEN to them. You have no reason not to try it out, I promise you wont regret it!

NIGHTMARE hair experience. Went there to get caramel blonde highlights as usual, and the lady gave me PLATINUM blonde streaks. I came back in the next day to fix it, and she gave me RED hair. DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.
