This place is undoubtedly the best place to shop for your Golf Cart needs. You all are amazing. Ricky is a professional and took care of us and made things happen for us. We appreciate you.
Randy and his team at East Side Rides did a fantastic job removing the rust and road grime from the frame and under carriage of my 1993 Ford F-350 and then finishing it with a show quality undercoating and paint on my exhaust system. All work to my truck was completed in the time promised (3 weeks) and at the price we agreed upon (no changes). Highly recommend East Side Rides for high quality affordable automotive restoration services
Where to start. East Side Rides is a family owned and operated company. Randy and Lisa I have known for many years, so when I went looking for a classic I knew just who to call. Not only did they find a rare gem “flower girl” they even took time to drive to New Jersey and bring her back to Virginia on there flat bed. Strong beautiful rims and white wall tires she is a beauty. They have made sure that I was kept up to date every step of the way...... If you want to be treated fairly they are the ones for you.
East side rides, is a great family owned business. I got some body work done on my 64 mustang and they were very professional and gave me a fair price. The owners were honest and transparent with cost estimates and the final price.
I repeat do not trust randy!! the man will literally steal your money and not do any work and he’ll sabotage your vehicle I’m taking him to court just like everyone else is shop for a shop don’t just go with one!! Especially this one!! If you need a shop call someone else don’t call this thief!! I warned you!! Call yocom hot rod they will actually care about your vehicle!! Hey randy 🖕🏼
Terrible, rip off, thief, liar, drains customers of their life savings and retirement before he ever delivers a finished product. Promises weekly that the work will be done but it never is and always has an excuse to ask for more money. Hes had my family members car for over 3 years and has went over the signed estimate by thousands and thousands of dollars. He never takes phone calls only communicates by text if he decides to communicate at all. THIEF!!!
I am on my second restoration project with East Side Rides. The team takes pride and care in their work. I was completely satisfied with the first project East Side Rides completed for me, I gave them the job on my second restoration. They are very up front on the work that needs to be done to do a First Class job, and that is what I received, a First Class job.
Asked Randy and Lisa if they could assist with my 79 Beetle Convertible. It had not run in 7 years, being in government storage for 3 years, then sent to me in Italy for 3.5 years. Tried five different Italian mechanics over that time and all seemed to make the problem worse. It would not run for more that 3 minutes and was undriveable. Tried another mechanic in VB and it sat for 18 months on his lot. Randy took the challenge and Bug was running in two months, passed inspection and back in service. Quality and professional work.
Any of the good review you read about this place are most likely from friends, family or employees of the owner.. all the bad reviews are dead on accurate, DO NOT HAVE EAST SIDE RIDES RESTORE YOUR CAR!!!! They will bleed you dry, they will keep asking for more and more money, the will give you delivery dates dates and keep pushing the finish time further and further out.. your car will be tied up for years, they will scew you for tens of thousands of dollars.. youve been warned.
Good experience. Good quality work. Easy to work with. Very happy with the experience.
My experience has been above exceptional in the work provided by East Side Rides. His work and his team restored this 63 Lark to the way it looked coming off the assembly line.
The Byrne Family are dedicated professionals. Their work is second to none. I recommend East Side rides for anyone who is looking for professional people who provide a professional service.
I would have never thought such kind hearted folks, would run such muck! So here was my experience:We set an estimate, and defined what needed to be done. Partly through the job, I started noticing over charging. What they didnt know is I have worked in a shop but hurt my back. But I still know how much is a fair charge. $1,170 to install 2 door handles, 2 rear quarter glass, and 2 door glasses for a 71 Chevelle! They do not send defined invoices saying how much time was spent on each item listed on the estimate. They added two hours of labor and refused to tell me what it went towards. So I asked copious times for a detailed invoice and they became furious as if I offended them. So beware this is a very unexperienced business. However, the shop workers are experts. The owners who run the shop are not available during the day at all, and the shop manager who works on the cars does not have a cell phone number to even contact them. That is just pitiful. So get ready to ride a merri-go-round if you put your vehicle in their hands. I decided not to take them to small claims court (not for the money but the principal) and decided to write this detailed review instead. They pocketed at least an extra $450 from me from being vague and indirect and dishonest. If you want a good shop, Bay City classics in Norfolk is the place to go. They charge a ton for their jobs($85/hr I believe), but the quality of work done cant be beat. The invoices are detailed by the technicians who performed the work, and reviewed by management. Or go to NC to find some good shops. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE 65/HR OR THEM PICKING UP YOUR CAR! That is the bait. Good luck to you whomever you are. ESR is not the shop for your classic car.PS: Bay City quoted 700 to 900 to do all of my glass including the windshields. Please do your due diligence with these shops. God Bless.
Outrageously Expensive and no time line on completion of your project
