Barby is wonderful! Classes are fun and a great workout. She really understands your goals and limitations and adjusts the workout accordingly. Workout area is very clean and organized. I highly recommend Kick The Fat!
I have been going to Kick the Fat for almost 3 months. Barbara is such a kind soul. It makes working out there easy, no negativity!! I LOVE the variety of classes. I am not bored! I feel stronger and Im leaner since I have been going to her classes. She makes sure Im learning the proper technique to prevent injuries and get the most out of my workout. Its a big stress reliever for me as well to be able to kick and punch!! I look forward to continuing my journey of staying in shape with Barbara :)

This is only my 2nd week working with Barbara at Kick the Fat however I am totally hooked ! I went 5 out of 7 days last week! Barbara is knowledgeable and professional yet fun, sensitive and inspiring! I haven’t worked out in a long time and I’m out of shape however she somehow makes me feel strong for what I can do and capable of so much more ! I am not a morning person I will stay in bed as long as I possibly can yet I’ve been getting up at 4:30 AM to meet with Barbara at 5 and I actually look forward to it it’s a great start to my day. I cannot wait to see what I’m able to accomplish with her program and guidance! 💪🥰

Barbara is the best!! I absolutely love training with her. She has helped me immensely! I had been out of the game for awhile and Barbara helped me get back into the swing of things. She did an extremely thorough evaluation and explained what she had planned for me. She put together several workouts for me and made sure I understood how to do them. She ALSO put together an awesome dietary plan and made it very diverse and easy to follow. She pushes me to help me learn my limits and even to push through them. And she just so cheerful and friendly!!! A total joy to work with! I look forward to continuing to train with her, learn from her, and kick butt getting into/staying in shape!!
I can honestly say that Kick The Fat has been incredibly amazing thus far, from the various classes to the great atmosphere you get from training with a professional instructor that is silly sometimes and very fun to train under. Ive been doing two classes a day and I can say that Im improving in different ways, from endurance to gaining muscle to gaining balance to stretching better and better with each work out. For anyone with doubts about this place, I can honestly conclude that once you try it, youll want to come back for more. I look forward to seeing Barbara next week, as I continue to be more active and challenge myself to get better.

Great gym. All the kickboxing gear you could ever need is there, small class sizes give you all the individual attention you need.
Had an excellent experience today with Barbara! She is a wonderful instructor...the class was lively and engaging. We were learning self defense techniques and don’t be fooled by Barbara’s petite size....she’s tough, very strong, and formidable! I’m in a wheelchair and I didn’t think I could learn much at first, but she quickly put me at ease and together we discovered there’s a lot someone in a wheelchair can do for self defense!! Barbara is the most amazing trainer Ive ever had. She is not intimidating and only motivating and inspiring. She is different from most personal trainers who only have a certificate. She practices what she preaches and even has trophies for figure competitions shes won. This has been a life-long passion of hers and is definitely an expert and not just knowledgable. Dont throw your money away to someone whos ok. You get more than you pay for with Barbara and end up with a friend also. She is genuinely caring and you arent just a client when she works with you. As a doctor myself I appreciate when a health care professional like Barbara Dalla Riva who is the personal trainer and owner of the company, Kick The Fat, is as knowledgeable about the human body and the psychology of getting fit as she is. In 4 short weeks with just one class a day four days a week at Kick the Fat my body went from dumpy, flabby and out of shape to having greatly improved cardio health, improved eye-hand coordination, greater self confidence and, bonus, a lot less fat!

I’m a retired 85 year old physician who had sarcopenia, which is muscle mass loss of aging. I fortunately was introduced to Barbara as a trainer at the end of October 2018. She thoroughly evaluated my physical state and my desired goals. Within weeks my musculature significantly improved as did my stamina. No further hanging skin under my arms, no ribs showing on my chest etc. Her professionalismand thorough care in the many exercises taught caused no post workout pain. She possesses a fun, encouraging personality and manages to put you through an intensive workout simultaneously. You would be fortunate indeed to have her as a trainer who also becomes a friend.

I’ve known and trained with Barbara for many many years, she is as all around as they come. She has acquired multiple skill sets from a variety of martial arts such as Filipino Martial Arts: kali, Silat, panantukan, Muay Thai, Savate, Jeet Kune Do. In addition to that she has many years as a personal trainer under her belt, she’s won fitness competition at the professional level as well. So without question she is the total package when it comes to providing people from all walks of life a path to achieving their fitness goals and developing their martial arts skills. And last but not least, she’s a damn good cook hence her knowledge in nutrition contributes to achieving whatever goals you may have.
