I have been a customer here for maybe 5 years. I have consigned an entire household and then refurnished it with almost all Choice Items. The people who work here are super nice and very knowledgeable and the selection which is always changing is exceptional with excellent prices.

We have been coming to Choice Furniture since last November 2020. Florina has been amazing and the pieces we get from there are top notch! They have taken care of us since day one! Love this amazing place.

I consigned some furniture to Choice in February. I was very happy with the prices they got and with the payment timeline. They were easy to deal with and are very fair. I have bought a lot of furniture and decor there too because they have lovely items and pleasant staff who take the time to help.

Best furniture store I’ve been to in ages! Bret prices and MJ was friendly attentive and helpful. She expertly and effortlessly put together 3 bedrooms and a living in under 2 hour! I can’t wait to go back!

My worst furniture shopping experience. Floriana was the sales woman. I found her to be a little high pressure and pushy although that is her job. I was looking for a king size bedroom set. I wound up buying a metal bed frame. So after many times of hashing the price with me she decided to say the bed frame was $1299. And she immediately came down to 799 because I started to leave. I said I would go home and think about it. So after a few hours I decided to go ahead and buy this bed. I called and told her I would give her $700 cash complete deal. She said she would talk to her manager and immediately got back on the phone and told me that price was fine. Never was any delivery charges or any other charges including tax discussed with me. She told me that my furniture would be delivered and my old bedroom set taken and there would be a charge of $150 and then $.50 per mile additional charges to me. So I refused that deal and said I would pick up the bed by myself. She said I could pick up the bed any day between 9 and 10 AM. So when I texted her Monday morning and told her I was on my way to get the bed she was very patronizing calling me honey very disrespectful in that manner. She told me I could not pick up the bed that Monday because there was nobody there to take the bedframe apart. I told her to make a decision to either have my $700 refund or the bed ready for me to go being as she had already told me that I could pick it up any day between nine and 10. I don’t wanna go on and on with a rambling review I just want you to know to be careful. She is never clear on any of the details. And then she claims she’s just a sales person andhas nothing to do with anything else! Florida also claims she didn’t have this discussion about delivery charges etc. But little did she know my daughter and my husband were on the phone with me the whole time listening to her. Just again if I could get no stores that would be my rating what a horrible horrible terrible experience. I’m sorry that I did continue the purchase of this bedframe for this much money and I didn’t just take my money and leave. No stars for you Florian!!!

We bought our kitchen table and chairs here and absolutely love them. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful that it was honestly the easiest furniture purchase we have made.

Had to move out nice furniture from mother in laws house. Laura from Choice set it all up. Movers Dan and Frank came over and emptied house, these two guys were great. Clean, professional and did it in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend Choice and if possible ask for Dan and Frank to pick up your items.

I needed a bedroom set for my father for a nursing home. Keith took great care of me and gave me an excellent price. The furniture was well made and I certainly appreciated his help at a difficult time for me. Their furniture is nice and clean. Thank you Keith.

When I moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida, I shopped at the Choice Gallery and bought amazing furniture for our new home!! I would highly recommend, they carry a lot of diverse furniture. You can actually fill your whole house in one shopping trip! Then they have an auction every Friday night, which I am there weekly! I have found many treasures their as well! I have met a lot of people at the auction as well! We meet up every week to chat and sit together. We always have a good time hanging out! The people that work here know you personally and greet you when you walk in! A great place to buy great furniture and have fun at the auction! I am sure you will Enjoy!! 😊

It is clean and merchandise is gently used. We purchased a coastal sofa, 3 piece end tables and two swivel chairs and a ottoman. Pricing was very reasonable. See something you like.... talk to a salesperson. I will revisit for sure!

Their pickup service is A1, courteous staff, and great attention to detail. Their store is laid out beautifully with great value! Keith and Mary Jo are the coolest, nicest people who know their craft well!

I have always shopped here, and found some great buys, but I was in this store and the one they own next door, and the staff don’t wear masks. I heard one staff member making unfriendly comments about another person who she had been talking to who was wearing a mask when she left. Im currently helping to look after my relatives who are all sick with COVID in two families from 65 years old down to 2 years old, and I don’t appreciate their lack of concern for others.As it is their prerogative not to wear masks in the store where they work, it is also mine not to shop there anymore. Shame, I liked the place.

Absolutely the worst experience of any consignment store I have used

I just moved to FL from Albuquerque and am starting over. I found my living room set, Tommy Bahama king Bedroom set, dining room set and queen guest bedroom Set all for 6k. Retail? Probably more than 20k. Florina was so very helpful and optimistic. She also keeps an eye out for other items I’m looking for. Way better than retail!

Located between the used furniture store an Habitat for Humanity. The mall stores are shared by many vendors who sell home decor items. Lovely small items for reasonable prices, also some household items and antiques. A nice variety. If I were a interior designer I would decorate for clients from here. Many very nice high end pieces. Two fellows waited on me and were very friendly. Prices reasonable.

I have visited the store several times. Very welcoming and nice staff. I would not suggest taking anything there for consignment. I took an Ethan Allen king head and foot board in for consignment around November 2019. It sold in January 2020. I was never notified. I stopped in to check on it and was told it sold in January and a check was scheduled to go in the mail with the March 2020 payments. The check never came. I called the store and was told to call the accounting department, which I did. I got an answering machine stating I should leave my name and contact info and not to keep calling back as they will call me as soon as possible. It is mid June 2020 and I havent heard a thing. I have started calling several time with no reply. Just as a note, the furniture sold for $400 of which I was to receive $200. $200 lesson learned.

So disappointed. I’ve texted and called. My items sold months agai and was told I would get check in November ....came and went. The excuse was the holiday. Then Dec 6 accounting claims cutting a check putting it in an envelope. Wow, really still not here plus they supposedly sold the second item I consigned on the very day I inquired. Not true, I was checking pretty much on a weekly basis to see if my items were sold. Right before The pandemic hit and I thought ok they both gone but I will give them time. One month, two months, three months. They open up again and I go in and inquire. Get a rehearsed reply and they take a message. No one calls. I call a week later, they take another message. This time I get a text claiming a check is being processed.Still no check, hubby works for police department will figure out next steps

We were actually enjoying our visit there until we were quoted a price on four wine glasses by an employee. As we were looking at other items we believe the owner or manager began talking to us. The other employee let her know that she had told us we could buy the four wine glasses for five dollars. She ended our conversation quite abruptly. When we came back to the counter to purchase a bistro set and the wine glasses, We saw her walking into the back room with the wine glasses. We assumed she was going to wrap them up for us. However when we got to the counter to pay for everything she told us that suddenly the wine glasses had been sold and the customers had just walked out. Well we had been right by the front door and nobody had walked out on top of actually seeing her walk in the back with the glasses. We mentioned this to her but she insisted they had been bought and the customer took them out. We immediately decided not to buy anything from that store. We understand if there was a misquote in the price and she could’ve shared that with us but to blatantly lie to our faces like that is not good business. Very dishonest.

How many bad reviews does a company need to have before they either do something or people stop purchasing there? I decided, after reading one bad review after another, to see for myself when I was in the area. Rude staff, either the salesperson did not know what kind of wood it was or deliberately embellished (veneer not solid). No sense of welcome. And, if you read some of the owners answers to the bad reviews, you can sense their personalities and their attitudes. I will never buy anything at this gallery--a shame for the owners because I have an entire house to furnish.RESPONDING TO OWNERS RESPONSE: This will be my last posting. For the record, I did call (tried twice) after my first bad experience, and no one called me back. Despite that, I gave it another try with the same bad experience. REGARDING THE SALES PERSON AND HER STATING VENEER WAS SOLID WOOD: If you have someone on staff who is an expert, how can I know this if your sales person says with confidence its solid wood? SHE should have said, I dont know for sure, but we have someone on staff who does, let me find him or her. She told us it was solid wood, no doubt. Lastly, if you are complimented all the time as you said in your response, then why are the vast majority of your reviews so negative?

I should have read the reviews. Unbelievable, especially the one where the owner tells a customer that he/she was surprised the customer resorted to social media. Customer tried to call with no call back. Besides, this company, like most, uses social media and the Internet to get business; reviews are part of that process. The phoniest, pushiest staff, and it clearly comes from the top. I left after buying nothing, and I will never be back. And, please, owner, dont respond to me. You have too many bad reviews to take you seriously.

Please do not do business with Keith Trowbridge or MaryJo Thiboult of Choice Furniture & Auction Gallery. They have an F rating with the BBB. They are neither honest or trustworthy. They will take your items for consignment and never pay you!! There are numerous errors in their accounting books, and they are not adhering to the rules and regulation for the sale of auction and consignment third party goods. On 02/07/20 they loaded a truck full of my household items, clothing, furniture etc, and I still have not received payment. I have filed complaints with BBB, DBPR and in the process of going to small claims court, in an attempt to get money. I wish I had done my research before signing a contract!

This is a great store. A friend tipped us off when we bought a condo in the Bahamas that you can get practically new, high quality furniture for pennies on the dollar. Since the Bahamas charges 65% duty on imported furniture we decided to take a look and were totally shocked at the quality and prices of available furniture. We filled up a container and shipped it to the Bahamas at garage sale prices. Delighted with the results... Thanks Mary Joe and Keith, you guys are great!

I can join in with the people who cant get their payment for furniture that was sold on consignment.....I call Brenda Whiting in the accounting department almost daily....She finally called me back 3 weeks ago and told me that she put my check in the mail.....I still have not received it.....Im still calling......Yes, I did enjoy shopping at Choice....the selection of furniture and items is very nice.....but I wont be going back there.....AND I will be sure to tell others not to shop or consign there....I see the Choice delievery truck in my neighborhood several times a week....but I will be spreading the word that Choice is dishonest with their consignors.....If Brenda would have honestly told me that she will get the check out to me in a fair amount of time, I would understand....I just dont like that she lied to me.....I can tell by reading the reviews that I wasnt the only one screwed by Choice!

Great place with friendly staff, awesome deals and furniture. We went there due to a recommendation and it happened to be new years weekend and everything was 50% off the already low sticker price! We ended up with awesome deals and the guys that came out and installed our purchases were great too! This is our favorite place to furniture shop!

I’d give this business a zero rating if it was possible. These people have horrible business ethics. Virtually impossible to get them to pay you for furniture sold I consignment. They always tell you the checks in the mail. Do Not Do Business With These People!!!

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. They DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR SALES. I purchased a piece in April that was over $500.00 dollars. Turned out it was infested with powder post Beatles. Since I am a snowbird did not realize it until I returned in Oct. Told them about it. Didn’t even hear an I’m sorry from them. Very rude. Walked away from me.IF I WERE YOU I WOULDNT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

I have buying and consigning furniture from this company since the time they opened several years ago. They have a very busy store and furniture is sold and consigned on a daily basis. The owners have always asked me for pictures prior to accepting my items, so they can assure me it is most likely an item will sell successfully. I have ALWAYS been thrilled with my purchases there and I knew to be patient on the consigned items, as there is not a defined date of sale. I also have gone to see if my furniture is still there as I didnt see it in the location that it initially was placed. The staff were very friendly and informed me that my items had been moved to the Shoppes next door. They will place your furniture where it is displayed best. I have ALWAYS received my portion of the consigned items and that has never been an issue for me. Sometimes it is quicker than others but I know the contract that I signed stated up to 120 days for reimbursement, so I just wait patiently, figuring that the more times I call the person responsible for writing checks, the more time I take out of her day from helping me and others. I have found Keith and MJ to be nothing but fair and accommodating with prices. They recognize repeat customers, (and there are many) and address them by name. They say that word of mouth is the best advertising, and their customers trust them to send friend and family members there. That would be a highly unlikely gesture if this store was a scam, fraud, shady, or any of the other inappropriate comments. There will always be disgruntled customers in any business. Do not allow these false acquisitions to sway your opinion. Come in and see the beautiful galleries they have and form your own intelligent opinion.

Was paid for half of our furniture after 6 months, after 8 months, many phone calls, contacting better Business Bureau, still waiting for payment for a large hutch, 2 counter top stools and a like new aluminum ladder. We do not recommend Chace as a legitimate business.

Its been 9 months since weve dropped our furniture off to be sold (soild wood Paula Dean bar top table with 6 chairs, storage baskets, a piece worth well over $1,000), which was sold in a matter of a day or 2. We werent contacted on the details of the sale, knew nothing of the price, etc. The little we were told was that it got sold for $500, we would NOT have agreed to the sale price if we were contacted! Weve been kept in the dark about receiving the few dollars owed to us from the sale! The countless calls, stopping by is getting us nowhere! Constantly being tossed around from one person to the next with no idea of what occurred. We will NEVER use this company again! Their lack of communication with seller is non-existent and ability to pay out what is owed to someone is not being honored. Still waiting to receive a check!!

I basically furnished my apartment with things from there and eveything was in excellent condition and amazing prices. I love to go and see what else I can get from them to update my apartment. Not only do they have furniture but they have many other things like lamps, pictures, bar stools, trinkets, toys, linens and comforters, desks, basically anything that you can think of. They are particular in the acceptance process so you know its quality. Staff more than helpful and go above and beyond! Cant wait to go back and go hunting for more things!

I found many cute and unique things there I have never seen anywhere else before.. They have a lot of high end stuff for great prices.. Yes there are many things all over but all auction houses are that way (same with ac issue)...I thought it was a great,large consignment /auction house .I will definitely be back to find more hidden treasures. As far as Im concerned, its the biggest,nicest,used furniture store around.

So glad my friend told me about this place! I went this past weekend and found some really great stuff. The gentleman (I didnt catch his name) working was helpful even though it was super busy. He even had me pull up to help load some items I had bought. Great variety and prices. Definitely will return!

Evil Thieves, My father trusted them with his possessions. Six months after giving them his Possessions he called them, and a lady informed him that his possessions sold three months prior. The woman told him to come up the next day and she would issue a check. The next day my father showed up and talked to a woman named Mary Joe. Who is the owner of this crooked business. Mary Joe told him that she did not know how to use the computer, so she could not issue him a check, because she had no idea how much they owed him. She than told him to come back the next day. This went on and on finally a woman named Brenda was able to pull up how much his items sold for. The check was made out for under $100 for five items. One of the items they had listed all over the internet for $699.00. They had my fathers address in their computer and never planned to send a check. It was almost like they were hoping he would forget. After reading the other reviews I realize this is how they make a living. They take from the hard working people so they can live outside of there means.

They are crooks!!! They dont pay you when your goods are sold... you are better off giving it to the Salvation Army..

It is amazing to me that Martin County Sheriff William D. Snyder and his Detective Jason Fleming (Badge # 1344) are not aggressively investigating (Case # 19-17692) these people and their business. My experience with this place was very negative! The reason I even gave the store two stars is that, the inventory is large and the prices are fair. Customer service on the other hand by the two gentlemen working there is horrible. One guy is a swindler, if you are new in town like I am, this place is a consignment and all sales are final. There is a sign in the main building but not in the smaller building. The gentleman who works in the smaller store will not inform you of this, so before you buy anything keep that in mind. I would definitely go to the habitat for humanity store next door for better customer service, better quality furniture, and affordable prices.

This might be an okay place to buy furniture, but very shady if you want to sell. Dont expect to get anything for your items.After signing a contract to receive 40% of the sale of my items, I did not hear from them for over 8 months, and did not receive a check. I had to call, and finally enter the store to talk to someone in person.They set the prices and sell without the seller knowing exactly what the item sold for.Just very shady, and not a reputable way to do business! Seller Beware!

Best experience selling items we could not keep as we downsized. Keith & Mary Jo delivered on everything they said they would do. Having used other consignment businesses in the area during our 28 years in Florida,Choice Auction is the best. Just visit their showroom on USA in Stuart to see how they market their clients goods.

Keith provided excellent service for my family in cleaning out, pricing and selling my mothers estate property at Sailfish Point in Stuart, FL. My mothers home was a 4,000 sq foot townhouse, three stories where she had wintered for 25 years. There was lots of stuff and belongings that needed to be removed, sold, donated or disposed. Keith was extremely professional, met a two week timeline in cleaning out the property for the new owner, and worked tirelessly with the DMV and a private buyer in selling my mothers automobile and a golf cart. I highly recommend Choice Auction for anyone needing help with consignment property or estate sales.

One of the few truly top end furniture stores in Stuart. They have the stuff no one else in town has. Their furniture is A+ quality. Their customer service is elite. Keith always gives me a good deal.

I purchased a table with six chairs. I paid them to deliver my table. When the movers showed up to my house and opened the back of the truck. I noticed that my table chairs looked to have been thrown in the back of the truck. The truck was packed full with other stuff, my table was not wrapped with any blankets. The chairs were thrown on top of my table, nothing was tied down it literally looked like it was just thrown in the truck, with no care for my table. There were scratches on top of the table, Im not sure if it was already like that or not, because when I bought the table there was a runner down the middle and was covered with breakable glass. I should have taken the time to remove all the glasses, and the runner to fully inspect the table. The movers showed no care for the my table. Fair warning take .everything off the table before purchasing and hire your own movers.

Very Nasty owner. I will carry my business somewhere else. She will never get my business again. An if anyone will ask if will explain. I come in that store and shop or browse time to time. An to hear her talking to another customer about another customer. Thats very unprofessional. But I did talk to one of the other worker about my complaint and concerns. How are u setting good customer service? An u the owner. Like really.

They picked up all the furniture from my condo in July 2017.After not being paid for a few months, I contacted them and received a check a few weeks later. Again after several weeks not receiving any payments, I felt something was not right about this company. I went to the their showroom in November 2017 to see if any of my furniture was still on display. I could not find one item in the store. I went to the desk and asked the gentleman sitting there if my items were not there, where are they? The man who said he was a partner stated the items were already sold if they are not in the showroom. I was told to leave my number and someone would call tomorrow. Well, tomorrow was a week later. I was told there were 2 checks ready, one would go out the next day, the other with in a week. I did receive one small check about a week later, but never received the second. It is now March 2018 and I still have not received payment for all the remaining items consigned.Ive attempted to contact them, but have received no reply.I believe this is a ponzi scheme. They are waiting for money from someone elses sold items before paying previous sales. But, they are not paying all previous sales.I think this is criminal and not civil and information from this should be presented to the prosecuting attorney for investigation.

I Bought an sofa from the store. A very kind gentleman was helping me load the item in my truck.when a mean lady walked out and started yelling at him.she was yelling at him for helping me.she then told Him that if I wanted needed help I should have paid for delivery. when I asked the gentleman who that was he said the owner. No customer service skills at all.The employee showed more customer service skills then the owner.I tried to tip the man and the owner gave him an evil look and he told me he was not allowed to except that.I have never been disrespected in so many ways before.

The selection is okay..prices are decent... staff is not friendly...: watches you like a hawk.... thinks your stealing anything and everything felt very uncomfortable... wouldn’t do business with this store...

What a complete joke !! After 3 hours they inform everyone that all existing items have been bulk bidded and that we can all stay and bid but if we all dont exceed the bulk bid none of us will get our items. Most of us left. Furthermore not a cash and carry auction. Had to wait till the end to take our items. Again who in their right mind will allow themselves to be forced to stay for hours longer to get their items when everything else up for auction only has a possibility actually being able to be purchased. Absolutely the poorest and most dishonest way to run an auction. I will never attend another Choice Auction again. I want my Saturday back !!!

This really should be two separate reviews: One as a buyer and one as a seller (consignor). As a buyer, Choice has a great selection of furniture at good prices. The showroom is large and the furniture is well displayed. Ive bought a number of pieces from them since they opened. As a consignor, however, its a totally different experience. I brought a number of pieces to them at the beginning of December 2018. I was told I would receive payment for any items sold (less their 50% commission) in December by the end of January. I stopped by the store at the end of December to check what items had sold. I noted a few of the pieces had. When I still hadnt received a payment by the beginning of February, I stopped by again. This time I spoke to the owner who said he would have their bookkeeper call me. A few days later she did. She told me the pieces that sold in December and the amount I would be receiving in payment. Well, to you folks still reading this, want to guess what Ive received as of February 25th? If you guessed nothing, youre right!! I see other reviewers here have had similar experiences. Perhaps this is typical at most consignment shops but I, for one, am very disappointed in Choice Furniture Gallery.UPDATE!!! It is now March 8th. Still have received no payment. Called bookkeeper yesterday and left message. No return call as yet.2nd UPDATE: Pardon me! I received a return call from the bookkeeper and was informed that if I reread the contract, Choice has up to 120 days to pay you from the time your merchandise sells. I reread it and she is correct. Not a bad deal for them. The contract also states that under no circumstances, any goods you consign will be returned to you and if items dont sell they have the right to dispose of them as they see fit. Also not a bad deal for them considering they set the price and youre in the dark until your items sell and then you receive a receipt saying what the sale price was. This involves an element of trust over that stated sale price. Obviously I should have read this contract more closely. Lesson learned. I will go elsewhere in the future.3rd UPDATE: It is now March 22nd and I still havent received any payment from items sold in December. UNBELIEVABLE!4th UPDATE: Today is April 20th and STILL NO PAYMENT!!! Hard not to think this is blatant dishonesty!! Would like suggestions of how to precede.5th UPDATE: Finally received a payment May 15 for 2 items that were sold in early December. Curiously, the check was dated March 15. I have 10 more pieces there on consignment. At this rate, it could be over a year before finally receiving full payment. Guess I should be grateful I got anything.

I would give this company a zero or negative stars Attended an Auction on Saturday and was handled in the most unprofessional manner imaginable. Waited hours to purchase items that I bid on had to leave after 4 hours. I would never recommend this auction company to anyone. Worst experience! So sad for the owner of the business that the auction was held for . They did her no justice. Total crooks !

I got a $1,200 dollar sofa for $300. They said it was used, but it looked like it was never sat in. They have so many selections, I cant wait to replace my Dinning Room Table.

We have been trading with the staff members and owners for 2 years now. We bought our vacation/retirement home and at least 75% of our furnishings have been purchased with Choices. This is very high end Ethan Allen and ever higher quality items. The antique mall next door is also under the same ownership. We also went to one of the 1st auctions in their new location on US1. We have racked up with great quality and unique items. I tell everyone about this business. I have seen some of the negative comments and it appears that many are expecting something good for next to nothing. They need to be directed to a thrift store. This is a consignment store in which the profit is split and they have to do right by the consignors. As far as the ones who are the consignors, up front, you know up front what percentage you are giving up. If your item(s) are there longer than a certain time, the price may be reduced a certain percentage . If you feel you were paid too little for your item(s) then sell through Craigslist or Facebook yard sale as cash and carry. As with any resale shop, the right client has to walk in at the right time. Both the owners and associates have given us very fair pricing and of course, the more you buy, they will work with you. Keep in mind, you are getting great items for a fraction of the retail price. They are constantly getting new items in and are busy either getting them to display or preparing for an auction. They stay busy and should not be criticized for not giving warm fuzzies. We had a great auction experience. I know that each individual has their own expectations whether realistic or unrealistic. Jennie and Calvin from Tennessee love you Choice!

Nasty Owner Keith. Pompous phony a-hole. They take 50% but dont tell you how they are pricing your items so you never really know what you should have been paid. Crooks, just sell them cheap garbage. Place is crowded with stuff. Rest of staff is nice enough but if you want to sell anything of value, go elsewhere.

Keith Trowbridge is an unhelpful devil! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GREEDY CROOK!! I asked him for help and he comes to my house and instead of looking at my possessions, he walks out not even giving me a chance or any information and this is after I spent hours pulling all my items out of the boxes to display them. He is a horrible person and I would not trust him to do anything he says. These auction people are parasites that prey on desperate people looking to steal peoples lifetime possessions. They dont give a damn about you or your concerns.

Worst experience ever. Had to get legal help to get paid after 4 mos.

Classless walked into the bathroom and it was filled to The ceiling with furniture. I then I had to walk all the way to the other mens bathroom to find art work on the bathroom floor.When I entered the bathroom stall I found an employee sleeping with A needle sticking out of his arm.what a joke this is no place for children.
