A little background. Stuart is our second home and we go back and forth all year. My wife went down with a friend and she called as soon as she was in the house. Said the fridge was off and of course all the food was spoiled. Being that I was in NC I started researching who could service us. Based on the reviews and Action Appliance being an authorized service business, I gave them a call just after they opened. I had to leave a message but less than 1/2 hour later I got a return call. They scheduled a service visit for the very next day! The service person showed up within the promised window and within a few minutes called me to let me know what the problem was. The appliance was fixed under an hour. I could not say enough good things about the office communicating with me the whole time and how courteous the service person was (mom said so as she was baby sitting the house). I would highly recommend Action Appliance if you have a need for service.Lastly, I read where someone complained about the $95 service charge, well I want to know if you work for free. I dont....

They fixed my problem in minutes when i had the other company that Rosners uses for extended warranty to fix in July the repairman basically said it was me not the dryer he obviously had no clue how to address my issue. Action Appliance was great! I hate to admit but they were the second place I called. First didnt even show up or bother to call that they couldnt make it. Action appliance came just when they said they would. We received a text to notify they were 20 mins out. Total repair took about an hour. Ended up being a compressor on our refrigerator (which was covered under warranty) i was able to text them pictures ahead of time of my dated receipt and model/serial tag inside the refrigerator which helped make the process smoother too! I will definitely be calling again if we need assistance.

Great experience and customer service! Never great to lose an appliance at the start of a long holiday weekend, but this company made it as pleasant an experience as possible getting us on the schedule. They were very timely, responsive, and as nice as could be. Had parts on truck, service was quick and professional (Fred took his shoes off before coming in our house, and rearranged his vehicle in driveway to get us all in). Would recommend and would call them again when we have future appliance repair needs. Thank you!

Wish the LG Appliance Service Center via Home Depot Warranty had sent them our 1st. I can finally use my wash machine. Happily washing again. They even came out late on a Friday. That’s great service.

When our LG refrigerator stopped working (lost cooling) after Thanksgiving, we contacted Action Appliance in early December through a referral from LG, as an authorized repair company. Action sent a technician to assess the issue, charging a $95 diagnostic fee. After a brief visit, the technician advised that the compressor needed to be replaced, which was still under factory warranty. Action then collected another $800 for parts/labor, while neglecting to mention that their office would be closed for a week early December, for unspecified reasons. When Fred (the owner) returned to replace the compressor a couple of weeks later, his install fried the board on our refrigerator, requiring additional parts. Despite an apology for causing additional work, what followed was several cancelled appointments, with claims that LG sent us the wrong part, even though LG later told us directly that they dont send parts to Action Appliance. Ultimately we had no refrigerator/freezer for over a month (to include Christmas and New Years Eve). It is a shame that this company has no problem collecting payment up front and then leaving the customer hanging (especially over the holidays) with stalling, excuses, and apologies, which appears to be a common theme based on other reviews here. Customers appreciate honesty and transparency above all. LG reps were disturbed to learn of what transpired here, so hopefully Action wont remain an authorized repair shop for LG for long. Would not recommend.Considering the different member of my family you cite is my 78 year old mom (whose last text you ignored), I trust youre ok with my helping her write this review. Secondly, considering I was present for both of Actions visits to the house, not sure where the misunderstanding is that you mention. I know you spoke to LG, because they called YOU on OUR behalf. Good to know that youre happy LG is helping us. I would be too if I took over 900 dollars from a family and then didnt fix their refrigerator. You mentioned in another review We make every effort to make no-cools a priority and two and a half weeks is a long time to be without your refrigerator and weve made some adjustments to our procedures so that this doesnt happen again. Well, were over 4 weeks without a refrigerator and out our money. Well done, Action Appliance.

Called explaining my refrigerator was not cold. A technician came out same day and replaced my compressor. The technician’s name was Fred and he was courteous and professional and left my home clean and my refrigerator better than new as he adjusted some settings as well

I had to use Action Appliance because of my warrantee company. Though I was told they were the best -when they arrived it was as if they had never read what was wrong in the first place. The technician was at first clueless then said he would call when the part came in. Two weeks later after hearing nothing I called and received a text telling me that a technician was sick and, by the way, they had not ordered the part and that I should contact the warrantee company to get someone else. I really do not know where to start as far as unprofessional goes. From no phone call to no part ordered to inability to reach a live person to not calling the warrantee company themselves to them not understanding the meaning of what a service company is supposed to do to the definition of dependability. Maybe one could say it was me- that perhaps I was rude? But I didnt have a chance at even that- I never spoke to anyone but the serviceman who when he visited was very nice but he himself just had no information other than my address. So the only conclusion I can draw is that this is how they run their business.As an update, I called Action Appliance as requested in order to give the owner the chance to explain. She seemed to blame the process that the Warrantee company makes them go through which makes no sense simply because the company that the Warrantee company sent after my call to them came out within a day and ordered the necessary part. The call became excuse after excuse from were busier than weve ever been to we just didnt want you to wait, to I guess we cant please you. All she should have said was ... we should have sent another repair person with the correct part.

This normal looking range is actually a unique, one-of-a-kind Sharp electric range/microwave drawer/conventional-convection oven. It was also discontinued several years ago. At a cost of nearly$1,500, it is the centerpiece of a kitchen remodel and is irreplaceable.When Sharp factory-authorized service centers declined repair requests, Action Appliance provided the needed attention on 3 separate occasions over the past 2 years to replace the brain, a thermocouple, and most recently a burner. Each visit was arranged by a professional and efficient office staff that scheduled, confirmed, and followed up. The same service tech, Lenny, arrived promptly, worked efficiently and thoroughly to diagnose the problem and perform the required repairs in a warm and congenial manner.The Action team has turned a frustrating nightmare into a really rewarding experience.

LG Corp. sent these folks for a warranty repair on a refrigerator/freezer. I had never met them before and knew nothing about them. Let me tell you that their service was nothing short of superior. They kept me posted as to their ETA and were on time. Their friendly and courteous demeanor was greatly appreciated and their work was excellent in all regards. They quickly identified the problem, explained it to me, and then resolved it. As stated this was a warranty repair so Im not out any funds but whether my next appliance failure is under warranty or not I am absolutely certain that I will be contacting Action Appliance for repairs. They are a wonderful company to do business with and I harbor no qualms in recommending them to one and all!

My dryer stopped working. The drum would not rotate. Action Appliance was recommended to my husband by another local business owner and thankful for it. Unfortunately, we have used several repair companies and by far Action Appliance gave us the best service. The tech Lenny was friendly and was quickly able to determine the issue. They had to order a part which came in quicker than expected and they worked with our schedule to make the repair. I will use them again for future repairs.

I purchased a new LG fridge from Lowes, and pretty much since the day of installation, we noticed food on the left hand side of the fridge was freezing. After a few weeks of trying to figure out what happened, we contacted LG as the fridge was under warranty, and they set up an appointment with Action Appliance.There was a hiccup at the start with Action Appliance not showing up for their scheduled appointment between 8-noon, but that might have been a communication error between LG and Action Appliance. Thats the only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5. Anyways, after I contacted them again at noon, they showed up within 30 minutes. The repairman took a look and said that there was probably an issue with the back of the unit, which holds the thermostat, etc. and he would replace it when the part came in.5 days later when the part came in, the repairman set up an appointment, arrived on time, and completed the repair within 5 minutes. The fridge works fine now. The repairman was professional and courteous, and other than the original problem with no one showing up to the original appointment (again, which may or may not been LGs fault), I am very satisfied.

Our refrigerator broke down was not cooling at all. We called action appliance they sent Fred the technician out right away and he was able to diagnose the problem immediately and found the parts so he was able to come back the next day and fix the problem .we were very pleased with their customer service along with their technician we would highly recommend them.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! This place gets more like NEGATIVE 5 stars. They were referred to me on a warranty claim over two months ago and my fridge is STILL spewing water all over my kitchen floor. Theyd better pray my five year old doesnt fall and hurt herself on the tile or my next call will be to a lawyer. It is absolutely mind-blowing the way my situation is NOT being handled. First they order a part and dont check it when it comes in so that after I rearranged my schedule they call me THE MORNING OF THE APPOINTMENT to tell me the part is broken and they need to reorder. Then the replacement part takes several weeks to arrive. I keep calling to request an update. They say theyll check and call me back and then NEVER RETURN MY CALLS. Finally the part arrives. The tech shows up, installs the part, never says a word to my son, doesnt leave any paperwork, doesnt verify the fridge is fixed. He didnt even bother to turn the ice makers back on. So my son does and within 20 minutes its spewing water AGAIN!!!! I call them up very upset asking for the tech to come back out. She calls the tech and he says, well if what I did didnt work then it needs this valve, but he never comes back to look at the fridge. AND NOW theyre NOT EVEN ANSWERING MY CALLS!!!!!!!!! Three separate times I call from my cell and it goes to voicemail but when I call from another phone they PICK RIGHT UP????? My fridge is in worse condition now than before they touched it. I am still waiting for this valve my fridge supposedly needs with no end in sight.

Had fridge problems. Quickly diagnosed and corrected. Both Tim and the woman on phone duty were extremely pleasant and efficient. Hope to never need to use them again but wouldnt hesitate. Would also recommend them.

We have a Dacor Oven. It came with the house, and apparently is fancy. It is a POS if you ask me. We called action appliance solely because they are listed on Dacor website as authorized technicians for Dacor.1. It took 2.5 weeks of trying to get an appointment. The appointment was then a week out once we were able to make one.2. They just dont pick up the phone.3. Tech comes out for $95 and diagnoses, should be an easy fix verbatim out of his mouth.4. After he leaves the front panel of the oven fell off and sliced my wifes toe nail off...pretty awesome. Tech says he didnt touch the panel...5. The last and final Kicker is they said it will be $1036 dollars to repair an oven with an easy fix...***AVOID***

It is obvious from the past reviews that this company treats their home warranty business with distain. It took them over 2 weeks not to fix my dryer under warranty from Lowe’s. They said the delay was that Samsung could not get the part but my wife called Samsung directly herself and they said that the part is readily available. Samsung even tried to call the contractor themselves but could not get anyone on the phone during normal business hours. Once they did install the part, the dryer was having the same problems again in 4 days. We ended up hiring someone else to fix our dryer!Update: The other repair company came out to look at the dryer that Action Appliance repaired. As it turns out, Action’s technician installed the part wrong which is what caused it to fail again. No my dryer is working fine thanks to the new company!

Would not use them if it wasnt for being a Lowes subcontractor. Did not show up for appointment no calls,or text. Had to wait 2 extra days. when repair was completed asked if he was going to verify temperature would be accurate he responded that the tool he needed he didnt have. Said if not working call. Ive given several appliance companies a try in the past and have been disappointed, to say the least. I decided to give Action a try and was happily surprised. I received good customer service, the technician was on site when promised and took good care of us.I recommend this company.

This was a horrible experience for us with Action Appliance.We had an ice maker in our refrigerator and a burner on our range that were not working. The first trip was for diagnosis of both, and to see what parts had to be ordered. This is all understandable.Upon return of the tech several days later, the ice maker was repaired, but the range part was incorrect. The part the tech brought was for a dishwasher instead.The third trip the tech returned with the same ice maker part which had just been previously installed, and still no range part.Today now the fourth trip, the tech finally returned with the correct range burner part.The most upsetting part of the $649.20 total that we have now been charged is that we could not get invoices that made sense on what we were being charged for each appliance. After questioning the very rude office bookkeeper, we found out she was still charging us for the incorrect dishwasher part, and flat rate labor for that incorrect job,which was $113.78 more than the range job.The other problem with Action Appliance is what this company charges for their parts, their flat rate labor, and the exorbitant cost for freight.My husband had a HVAC company for 31 years and has knowledge of how to find our what things cost. We were totally overcharged in every way.

They charge $95 to look at the appliance and that is not applied to the repair. If you agree, you have to pay for the part and postage first, then the labor to install. Thats three payments for an appliance timer that cost me $395. A new timer costs less than $70. The installed part stopped working properly after a little more than a month, and the assessment of that malfunction by Action Appliances cost another $95. The replacement part was covered, but labor to reinstall was not because they only guarantee labor on parts for 30 days! Labor for a five-minute install was another $125. If I had gone ahead with the re-repair it would have cost me $615 total. A brand new appliance would have been another $100. Ripoff? You betcha.

Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. We waited for two and a half weeks to have a part fixed on our refrigerator that was under warranty. They told me on the phone that LG delivers overnight. At one point after we had been without a refrigerator for two weeks, they had the part but because they wanted to close early that day, would not come and install it. That left us without a refrigerator for almost two and a half weeksfor a problem that should have taken three or four days at the most. After reading previous negative reviews, Ive noticed that they always blame it on the customer or someone else. At some point management has to be blamed for not providing service in a timely manner to the customers. The girl on the phone was polite and the technician was polite as well, although he didnt do a thorough inspection the first time he came out. Because of that, we had to wait another week for some more parts to come in. They need to step up their game when it comes to providing customer service and warranty service for companies.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY:12/8/18 I was quoted $95 diagnostic fee for over the range LG microwave heating problems and scheduled service apt for 12/14/18 between 8-12p. Technician named Tim called ahead, showed up on time, was polite however, after only spending 5 mins on the microwave, Tim stated the transformerwas the issue and that since the magnetron part was still under warranty, he could replace both at the same time.Issue # 1, technician didnt have any of the parts with him, so a different apt needed to be scheduled for service after his office would call me following monday with service estimate.Issue# 2, 12/19/18 Tatiana called me stating the estimate for repair was $230.59 for: free magnetron and fee for transformer, cap, diode, fuse, capacitor parts, $100 labor and $19.89 in tax. I explained to Tatiana that only the magnetron and transformer parts were mentioned during the apt and i needed clarification on the need for repair of the additional parts.Issue# 3 -I requested a call back from Tim explaining all this new info which never happened, so i requested an emailed written report instead.Issue# 4 -I was emailed an estimate instead of the report by a guy named Fred Rodriguez. Fred refused to submit a written report and basically told me that once the Magnetron goes bad all the other parts need replaced. Yet Tim stated the transformer was failing NOT the magnetron.Issue #5 $95 diagnostic fee has no credibility, i asked for a refund and he simply declined. Borderline This company has no clue what they are doing, They want to charge you $325 to replace all parts based on a bogus diagnostic just in case one of them is the issue.For the staff including CEO of Action Appliances, dont bother replying to this review as I gave your company ample opportunity to fix the problem internally and you refused to do so. And for Fred Rodriguez I strongly suggest you improve in customer service skills, problem solving techniques and provide your technicians & staff with proper skilled training so your company can truly provide customers with an outstanding repair service experience and stop wasting your time writing FALSE 5 star ratings on services for the company you work for.Consumers: I hope you find this review useful and helps you make a better financial decision when thinking about hiring repair services from this company.

Very nice experience, we are leaving tomorrow for a 17 day vacation. Our Lg fridge had a compressor replaced 9 months ago, it took the local appliance company 5 days to get it running again because they had to order the compressor and wait for it to come in.To our delight Action appliance showed up on time, called ahead and George showed up with a compressor in the van (even though it could have been something else). He was very kind and said it is under warranty. We laughed about it coming from China. LolHe even upgraded our control board.I will definitaly use them for all of my appliance repairs, we own a small business as well and appreciate companies like this.Thanks Action appliance***

I brought in my air conditioning for possible warranty service and I was told on 11/2/2018 that shop time was set aside for 11/5/2018 in the morning to give me a diagnosis of my problem. So I call in the morning to let the staff know if you could figure out what direction I needed to go with this issue please give me a call so Ican make a decision. At 12:16 p.m. I call to get an update and was told the tech was in the field and hadnt returned to diagnosis my problem. So I say to the nice lady on the phone I was told Monday morning shop time and now you tell me afternoon he will work on it. I simple stated that this is unacceptable if this couldnt be worked on this morning then I should have received a phone call stating as such. This is a simple communication issue that could have easily been resolved but because this isnt a high priority it was but on the back burner. This is definitely post poor customer service at best.

Dedicated Customer Service. My LG oven had a recall. Action Appl. came for the service. The friendly tech was right on-time, tidy, and quick. LG sent them the wrong part twice. Each time they came back, they were quick and friendly.

Do not waste your time with these scam artists. They do Samsung warranty work; came out and charged me for diagnosing my refrigerator motor to be bad which I already knew. Samsung gave them the warranted part and instead of them putting it in they just dried off the motor and kept the part.They lied and said they installed it. Two weeks later the motor died again and we had them come back for diagnosis in which case a different guy said the motor was never replaced the first time. We lost about $300 in food. Now they want more money for the same diagnosis. We have since talked to other people that have been through this scam with this company. Please save your time and money and don’t go near them. Samsung told me I should never have paid for their initial diagnosis. Action even told me I needed a new icemaker when that was just replaced by a different company four months previously. Icemaker is fine. Very shady! Do not let these jokers in your home!! And all the reviews about them not calling anybody back to mitigate issues is absolutely true. Samsung has other negative reports about this company and will probably be dumping them soon.Response to their response: How did you try to accommodate me? Much like every other review below you wouldn’t even call me back. All your responses are a total farce as is your company. Advice: Stop stealing from your customers...pick up the phone and return phone calls instead of just responding to negative Google reviews. In addition, you told me yourself Samsung makes garbage refrigerators and the next time to buy an LG... and I have had zero frustration with any other service company -just you.

They were unable to fix out appliance and have taken $450 from us. We will now need to buy a new appliance. So this whole experience will cost us close to $1000. They make the office girl call. She acts like she knows nothing. Says owner makes all decisions but he doesnt take business calls. This is not only disappointing as a customer but very hard on us at Christmas. I wonder if the receptionist or even the owner have $1000 to throw to the wind.

Terrible business. The repairmanTim, left the laundry room a mess. He replaced the top lid and left a ton of rust, garbage and junk inside the tub. When i called and told him i am still unable to use the fixed washer, he said the rusty parts inside the drum and garbage all over the floor were my problem. I called the office and they are no help. Do Not USE THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY!

Terrible and very inaccurate service, Charged $95 service call and said washer was 7 years old and need to be replaced, period. No attempt to fix. That could have been don on the phone with honesty without trying to steal my money. Called a 2nd company who told me it was the pump and $85 service call and $100 parts and labor repair fixed it. When I called to complain nothing was done for the $95 and the next co fixed it they said thats how they do things Seriously dishonest company with no customer concern

I wouldnt even give them 1 star if I had the option. Terrible customer service. Scheduled an appointment with them through Lowes and they never showed up. Called to check and the receptionist said she had called and left a message to confirm the appointment with me (no messages on my voicemail). They didnt send anyone out because the appointment was never confirmed. So in the 6 days prior to our scheduled appointment she only attempted once (if they tried at all).She wasnt necessarily rude but very unprofessional. Cut me off numerous times while I was trying to talk to her and said there was nothing she could do about it and hung up on me. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone and definitely let Lowes know that they shouldnt use this company for repairs anymore.

Had a horrible experience with them over 2 months trying to figure out whats wrong with my LG dishwasher, wating for Parts Etc...then broke the day after they got it fixed,then trying to get it fixed with LG which is the worst company to deal with also,they said this company said my dishwasher had physical damage, i guess they did that so they wont bother with it again,they said any work from them is guaranteed for 3 month,even when it broke down again few days after their fix, they didnt wanna fix it unless i call LG again and get them a new repair order which is more money for them.
