Have completed their SIC training program for the Citation, with excellent ground school and enjoyable hands-on flights. Also regularly using their Redbird FMX simulator for instrument approach practice and engine-out proficiency.

Extremely helpful, friendly and responsive which is a massive plus. These guys were so patient in advising me with my flight training which had several unique complications. Big thanks to Danielle who is just so kind, helpful and very efficient on communication.

I am a private pilot and often rent from SkyBlue. They provide easy scheduling, great communication, and have a fleet of clean, reliable 172s and a Warrior. Never had any issues, planes are always ontime and ready to fly. Instructors are friendly, helpful, and full of great local knowledge. Danielle at the front desk is amazing! Would highly recommend training, renting, or charter from these professionals.

I signed up my 16 year old son for flight lessons at Sky Blue after he decided that he wanted to become a professional pilot. The flight instructors were professional, caring, flexible, and dedicated to my son, They ensured that he acquired the skills and information needed to pass the private pilot exam and check ride while having fun at the same time. The instructors were dedicated to his success and helped him maintain his focus. They earned my complete confidence and they became mentors and friends with my son. I highly recommend them.

Great place with great people. I finished my Private here with Justin Sikora.He was great to work with. We got to be on a friend level very fast with a lot of trust. He was very accommodating with my busy schedule as well.They also have an in-house Examiner for ease of checkrides!Very clean and well put together aircraft.

Ive had a great experience with this school. I finished my Single Engine Commercial add-on training here and couldnt have been more satisfied. CFI Tyler Grimsdale was extremely thorough, professional, and helpful with guiding me through the process. Since starting at sky blue in January I have seen incredible progress made in their program. They have invested heavily in their school providing students with more planes with advanced avionics packages, more instructors and a better environment to learn.The school keeps meticulous care of their fleet. Any problem that arose has been dealt with swiftly and to completion.My cfii is Justin Sikora and I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to pursue flying in any form; as a former school teacher his flight instruction abilities are bar none.

My husband went on his first Discovery Flight for his 70th birthday. He had a great time. From the moment we entered the office and sat down with Danielle, the receptionist, to meeting Justin his flight instructor, we were so impressed by their friendliness and desire to please. When my husband took off on his flight, Cole, another instructor and mechanic, drove me to the airstrip in his golf cart so I could watch them fly off first hand and take pictures. My husband is definitely thinking of continuing his lessons, but even if he doesnt, it was a lifetime experience not to be missed. I am a local student and was looking for a local school . I found Sky Blue and couldnt be happier with my choice. The discovery flight is the best around. What I like best is how I can customize my training to fit my schedule and still train while I work full time.I wrote the above at the beginning of my exciting journey to be a pilot. I initially felt very welcomed & felt like I was a part of a new family/community. I had 100% confidence I would be successful with them. As time passed, I started to realize I wasnt progressing as a student pilot. I wasted a lot of TIME & MONEY at this part 61 flight school. My CFI chose to leave the school during the same time frame I was trying to schedule and pass my check ride for my PPL. Fine, personal choice, the school shouldve had a plan to finish me and any other student in this situation. They did not. Additionally, when I made the decision to leave the school, they couldve cared less. No one reached out to me. Obviously, they have no quality controls on their programs & I do not recommend this flight school to anyone wanting a serious career in aviation.

Justin thoroughly briefs/de briefs every lesson and keeps me updated in between with our schedule and what we will be covering next. I am a private pilot with an instrument rating. I took eighteen years off from flying. I caught the bug again and looked up local flight schools. My intention was to get current both for the private and for the instrument rating. I knew the task would be daunting. Tyler Grimsdale did a wonderful job of reacclimating me to flying. Tyler introduced me to a flight surgeon to get a medical. He sat with me to get reacquainted with the FAR/AIM. At every step of the way, he made himself readily available and patiently helped me to get comfortable with the maneuvers necessary for me to demonstrate proficiency for a biennial. I am now current and have the ability to rent a variety of aircraft that SkyBlue has to offer, after getting checked out in each airplane. Tyler introduced me to Harrison Shuster for the instrument proficiency check (IPC) that would be necessary for me to become instrument current. Once again, Harrison patiently walked me through the FAA regulations on the ground and then began the process of bringing me up to speed on RNAV approaches. The world had moved on since I shot my last ILS, eighteen years ago. We flew together until he was confident that I understood the technology that undergirds RNAV approaches (the Garmin GTN 650/750), the Terminal Arrival Area, holding procedures, both published and unpublished, and that my skills as an aviator were acceptable. I was then evaluated by several other instructors to ensure that I was ready for an IPC. I recently completed the IPC, and I feel confident in the skills that the instructors at SkyBlue have taught and strengthened in me. No matter where you stand as a student pilot, SkyBlue has the staff and the airplanes necessary for you to further your adventures in flying.
