I would give a negative rating if I could! I just went to this post office to post mark a letter to make sure it is on time for the recipient . I wish I would have gotten her name. She was a heavy set african american woman with an attitude. She indicated she cant post mark the letter, the system does it. I kept questioning that as I have been there many times doing just that. She acted like I was bothering her by even asking and then indicated I can fill out a form and get a mailing receipt and then I would be charged for the receipt! I said I just need a postmark and was not going to pay for a receipt. She then made a face and was going to take the letter. I said I would go somewhere else and let them know this post office would not do it. I said no wonder this place has a 2 rating and she said Thank You! as I was walking out. I left there and went to the Schaumburg Post office who did the post mark and asked if some post offices do not do post marks and they looked really shocked indicating that should not be a problem! This woman should be fired! I am sure there are many other people who would be happy to have a government job and actually do some work and be courteous.

Not sure why others are complaining. I had a great experience. The staff was friendly the store was very clean. You have to wait but at what government building dont you. If your going to any government building just except you will have to wait and it will be a much easier process.

This is the most unwelcoming post office I’ve ever been to. I don’t mind waiting in a line on a Monday morning, but the moment I ask for help understanding how to ship a package and I’m spoken to in a demeaning matter I know there’s a disconnect with the employee. The African American lady at the counter appeared frazzled and annoyed. You could hear her complaining about how long the day would be. The moment I am able to step away from my busy schedule I will get in contact with someone in charge regarding the customer service representative. The other reviews here reflect my view.

I asked for hand canceling services and was told they don’t do it. I didn’t push the issue but am frustrated that USPS would not offer the service when I know it’s available.

I come here frequently, although the Elgin location is 2 minutes from my home, I will drive to this location because the service is always exceptional, the reps behind the counter are fabulous (every time) and if I don’t know my best shipping method they will help me out and make sure I’m understanding. 10/10.

The two workers that were at the counter sounded like they wanted to be literally anywhere else and could not care less about their jobs. At least PRETEND you arent dead inside, jesus christ. Were also incredibly rude to me and treated me like I was stupid when I asked a simple question about my mail. God help whoever walks through these doors.

The workers are rude and are annoyed at your very presence there. I felt very unwelcome and awkward.

Went in with a 4 x 6 card for volunteer appreciation thank-yous. Told them there was a small (1 x 2) packet of sunflower seeds to say thank-you-for helping-us-grow. The price of the envelope went from 55 CENTS to FOUR DOLLARS because the yahoo behind the counter said it was merchandise and therefore a package. RIDICULOUS!!! OBNOXIOUS!!! RUDE!

Dropped off 2 packages for 2 day shipping. 4 days later one has finally made it to the sorting center in elk grove and the other still hasn’t left the Streamwood location. I recommend going to a different location if you want your mail to get anywhere on time, especially when you are paying extra for 2 day shipping.

Went there to drop off the package and the lady over there asked me to cover the whole label with tape otherwise won’t take the package . With attitude she was like either buy the tape or take it back . Worst customer service ever ! No wonder they only have 2 stars

Some of the women here are extremely rude and have NO desire to help you. I regret going every time I do.

We received a dozen pieces of mail within one week that were for seven different addresses, none on our street and none with similar name as ours at all. Previously, weve gone weeks and weeks with no grocery ads delivered. We have a different mail carrier every other day. No consistency.

Horrible. Put several packages with tracking in the drop box on Friday. Its now Tuesday and tracking says it hasnt been picked up. My mail is still sitting in the drop box not being touched at all. Called 8 times and no one answers the phone all day. This location should be shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heaven forbid if you need a pen or piece of tape. Supplies always half gone, and plenty of gossip and loud laughing from the back.

My previous experiences were ok but more recent experience when I went for a passport was horrible, there is a reason so many people hate this usps office and the bad customer service they provide is a major factor for that.

Essence & Brittany were a breath of old fashioned customer service. These two young women were knowledgeable, polite, courteous & extremely helpful.

This post office don’t deserve any rating stars, but they deserve to have a professional customer care training. They are so rude. I don’t have any concerns why they only received 2stars of the customers rating as I been through the same situation. If the USPS will have a closing store, I wish this location will be one of them.

This review is for one employee that went above and beyond helping our pharmacy today. Our pharmacy mails out medication to our patients in Chicago. One of our patients was suppose to receive his medication on March 18th. Due to someone making a mistake and sending it to the wrong post office, this patient did not receive it. We kept tracking the package and we were not able to locate it. After calling 2 post offices in Chicago and not getting a clear answer of what happened, I finally call this post office and spoke to Bernidet. She went above and beyond to track our package and figure out exactly what happened. She was able to talk to someone and give me an update so I could give the patient peace of mind that he would be receiving his package Monday. From the bottom of our hearts Bernidet, Bartlett Pharmacy wants to thank you for everything you did for us today.

Nothing wrong with this location--Friendly and effective counter staff. You want to see long lines & chaos, go to locations in the City or near suburbs, then compare the two. I have to commend the Letter Carrier serving my neighborhood, (006) He is always efficient, an encyclopedia of mail knowledge, and professional. I know its far from easy work delivering all the on-line shopping I do.

Just went up to this post office to see if the second halfe of my package was there, since I received part of it in the mail. The Lady I spoke to was very rude, and combative. I was barely able to ask my question to here as to weather or not I had a package to pick up. Very poor customer service. The last time I was there to mail somthing a diffrent lady was there that was just as rude.... avoid at all costs horrible customer service.

Outstanding client service. 15 clients 5 min before closing and all employees are calm and helpful.I was helped by a black gentleman who walked me through the automated machine for printing labels professionally and was very courteous.Honeslty surprised. Much prefer to use automated machine in lobby because this post offices customer service is typical of DMV hospitality. Machine down today and my expectations were spot on. Rude lady saying you can wait for machine because she didnt want to help ship the package. Then the Male employee said well I didnt have time to fix the broken machine. Instead of helping, the female said well you can wait it shouldnt take too long. Ugh! No interest in helping us. Theyre always really nice here. Pleasant, upbeat, just good folks. There is never a really excessive wait time, its clean, organized, and well lit. Quickly became my preferred post office!

The good: Ive visited this location many times and had good customer service from the people at the counter.The bad: if you drop your letters in the mail box, it will take at least 10 days to arrive at the destination. Meanwhile your bills will be late and you will have accrued the late charges. If you need to mail a bill and have it arrive on time, you are better of going to Schaumburg (either post office) or Carol Stream.

So many bad reviews. I have had nothing but good experiences at the post office and on the many times I have had to have my mail held. Yes, sometimes the lines are long at the post office, but the employees have always been pleasant and handle each person as quickly as they can. I give them kudos for a difficult job well done!

Guys this is Government employee. They accept this job for this reason. So dont aspect much from them. Attitude says all. It will never change. There is more lined up to take there spots and they will be same no changes coming soon.

They are a most pleasant group of people at the Streamwood PO. Efficient and personable. I go to this branch rather then the Elgin PO. Im not one to complain, and Im completely understanding in most circumstances, however, never have I encountered such rude employees in my entire lifetime. I cant believe how rude this lady is. I was trying to buy a stamp and I was already throughout the first doors and the lady saw me and she locked the door in my face at 5:59 and they close at 6:00pm. I thought that was extremely rude. I would not recommend going to this post office

Service is horrible. Its like the staff purposely move slow so you go elsewhere. Its win win for them... less customers, less boxes they have to ship. There have been many times every window has staff standing there but ignoring customers piling up.

I had an altercation today with one of their employees on my front porch. I was in the restroom when she was delivering a package and I hurried down to answer after and she was already in her truck. I called for her saying I was sorry and I was in the restroom and she gave me attitude saying she knocked and threw my package at me. Unreal treatment from her. I just moved to the streamwood area and I have never met a mailman or woman so rude. I believe she should be repremanded and held accountable. That is not how you treat customers. I wonder how she treats the elderly when they cant get to the door in an efficient amount of time that she likes. I will be calling Monday to speak to her manager because that was truly unbelievable.

My mail and/or packages have been delivered to other neighbors homes, or not at all. Twice in the last year I have lost money on purchases made online that were never delivered to my house, and I was told it is because my house is on a training route. We get other peoples mail delivered to our house frequently. Just today 3 pieces of mail from 3 different addresses were incorrectly delivered to our house. I can no longer trust to have any online purchases sent to my home if they are delivered by the USPS. Frustrating, to say the least!

I’m so tired of the incompetence of this post office. It is their job to scan the barcodes on packages when they receive them. They do not scan the barcode on the packages that are put in the dropbox. So frustrating to have to stand in line to get a package scanned .

Didnt like there service there. Next time Ill go to des plaines where they will put the mail stamp, wild you get your things ready.

I waited to post this in hopes they would improve. However, after several visits, over the last few months, I dont see this happening. The service here is atrocious. Whether calling in or walking in, the employees have by far been the rudest Ive dealt with at any customer service related place.I put my mail on hold and chose to pick it up. I called in and was told to go to another P.O. After 3 days and several post offices stating that I would need to retuen here, the lady still refused to help. Finally a manager, from anothet store at that, resolved my issue. This was just the most severe of the problems.

Most postal services are ok, at least mediocre. This one is pretty bad with a bad attitude. When I asked them why they charge me additional fees to receive a package, the old lady said contemptuously: I dot work for free .Well you dont, cos shipper already paid the postage. They just want more.

Horrible service, I place my packages for shipping on the blue boxes and it takes too long I means days for my packages to be scanned so I get my customers upset thanks to Streamwood POOR service for delivering or scanning.

Called about a missing package that was sent from cook county hospital/pharmacy. It contained urgent medicines for my diabetic mother.. Called them about 100 small priority flat rate boxes and the lady said come pick them up. Sent a employee there and they told me no way had to order online. I will not even use them anymore for anything. I always tried to help them as i know they need jobs as well. Now the heck with the USPS. I dont have to use them anymore.
