I rent cars at this location at least three times a year for business and I have always been treated with respect and kindness. Kenny (Ketan) always takes care of my requests and provides me with the best reasonable car he has available. I highly recommend renting cars from him at this location. Do not try to rent a vehicle from this company. On March 9th, I reserved a full-size SUV for a trip. On the day of pick up, March 26th, I call the location to verify everything is in order. The employee tells me that they DONT have a car for me. He said Avis never sent them a car. I am supposed to leave on a trip later that day and they tell me we have nothing for you. I spent numerous hours on the phone with Avis only to be told there was nothing they could do. THIS IS THE WAY THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Its a new manager here seemed like a decent guy. I had problems with the old management. Just always make sure to check the license plate sticker to make sure it didnt already expire.

I was traveling for vacation that had been planned for months in advanced and I first went to enterprise but they were having issues with there system that caused my credit card to not work properly so I wasn’t able to rent through enterprise as my anxiety intensified for my form of payment being damaged by enterprise, I just decided to go to another car rental location. I found Avis and the staff was so nice and willing to work with me and help me. Great experience Thanku Avis in streamwood il. Going forward if I ever have to rent a car again, I do plan to rent through Avis again price was good . Thanku so much

I wont rent from this location and this is why: I walked in to ask a question about my upcoming rental and whether I could pick it up the night before and what the costs would be. I was told it would not be possible under the same rate and that the price would be much higher. Thats fine, thats Avis policy. I would have even picked it up at the same time if it werent for how rudely one of the employees started acting. As I was talking to one employee, another named Jason overhead us. All I did was mention that other competitors are able to give you the car the night earlier for a fee. Jason, the self-proclaimed owner of the location jumped in and didnt like that I mentioned another brand. He started raising his voice and ranting, telling me to go to another brand and that he would cancel my reservation. The only reason I had to raise my voice was so that he could hear me over himself. He said he doesnt consider other brands, such as Enterprise, to be competitors to his store, because hes apparently running a million dollar location. So unnecessary. I just dont understand why he was saying all this despite there being several other brands in the area. I could easily go to another competitor. He said you are acting like a little girl. (as if his demeanor wasnt rude enough, he had to add a derogatory comment) As I was walking out he was apparently calling corporate to put me on a Do Not Rent list. Jason kept saying he was the owner of the location. The other employee was actually remaining cool headed and as I was trying to talk to him, Jason kept jumping in and preventing us from talking. I dont think my concern was an unreasonable one, and there was no reason for him to behave the way he did. I called Customer Service to make sure my reservation wasnt cancelled, (in case I do end up needing it), that I wasnt banned from renting through Avis again, and also to file a complaint. Customer Service told me that the location does NOT have an owner, its a corporate location. They told me hes not supposed to say that. Also theres no way they can put you on a Do Not Rent list just because of this. This person named Jason was extremely offensive and he should be reprimanded for behaving like that to a customer. Im a fan of Avis but I just cant stand employees like that. Be aware.

I had a reservation here. When I showed up, Dante told me that the car size I had reserved was not available. Therefore, he was going to give me a smaller size that would be compact. I was planning to drive to Toronto and was unhappy with this last minute news. Dante told me that I could exchange the vehicle if I would go to OHare Avis. I decided to do that which caused me waste three hours as Avis OHare had long line plus they couldnt find me in their system for sometime.Returning the vehicle was smooth. I had forgotten my parking pass in the car. Cody called me right away. I thank him for that and Cody was also courteous. Dante was courteous as well.I really disliked that I had to waste three additional hours plus drive to OHare. If I had to go to Avis OHare, why would I rent it from here?

I rented a car from this location from 3/23/16 to 4/2/16, to drive to Colorado for a snowboarding trip. I picked up my rental on a Wednesday evening, with plans to leave straight from work on the 24th. Some of my review refers to this location in particular, while some of it refers to Avis as a whole. It will be long. I apologize.The first car I received was a Ford Focus. Immediately after driving out of the lot, the car felt like it was sputtering and almost dying at every stoplight. Ive worked on my own cars for a long time - it seemed like a MAF sensor problem, and after driving it to work on the 24th, I felt rather uncomfortable trying to get the car to Colorado and back. I called Jason, the owner, and asked if I could switch the vehicle out. He was accommodating, and allowed me to return the vehicle in exchange for another Focus, which Just got back from New York.The new Focus ran well, and I made it to Council Bluffs, Iowa my first night. On my second day of driving, I stopped for gas in Sidney Nebraska, which, if you are not familiar, is the only sizeable town for a rough 200 mile stretch of I-80. As I was about to get back in the car, I noticed a bulge in the sidewall of the front left tire. Not wanting the tire to blow out in the middle of nowhere Nebraska, or Wyoming, or even worse, in the mountains, I called Jason to see what could be done. In addition to telling me my trip Just wasnt meant to be he also offered the advice that a bulging tire is just going to pull slightly in that direction.On my own initiative, I called the nearest Avis/Budget locations, both of which were just north of Denver, and 2.5 hours away from my location. With a bulge in the tire, I was uncomfortable trying to get down to Denver, as a tire blowout at 75 miles an hour is generally undesirable. One of the other Avis/Budget employees I spoke to suggested that I call the roadside assistance program.At this point, I could already see the potential dollar signs dancing in my eyes, but now at risk of delaying a trip through a mountain pass in the middle of the night, I decided to call. So much for that. The roadside people were helpful, though the earliest a car could get to my location was 5-6 hours. I should make note here that Sidney has two, TWO tire shops. Tire shops that likely could have had me on my way in an hour, given that it was the middle of the day on a Friday.Aviss solution was to tow my current car to Cheyenne, Wyoming, 100 miles away, and tow me a new car from Cheyenne, Wyoming. As I was currently sitting in the Wal-Mart parking lot, I decided to drop the $50 to get a room at the Motel 6 nearby and take a nap while this was all taken care of. I was on my way again several hours later, and made it to Steamboat Springs and back to Chicago without incident, though I checked the tires every time I got in or out of the car.The icing on this cake came two days ago in the form of a letter from Avis roadside assistance that my account will be charged to the tune of $300 for tire replacement.Some will say Its in the contract you signed.To that, I will say this: The car I rented from Jason drove from New York to Chicago. And thats not counting the 14,000 some miles driven before I got into the car the first time. The damage to this tire could have occurred in November 2015 for all anyone knows. This wasnt a tire puncture - this was a tire defect that I noticed before anything worse could happen to the tire, or the car, or ME. This dude essentially TOLD ME to drive on a tire with a bulging sidewall. Are you serious?Theres no itemized receipt for the $300 charge pending on my card. I have no idea what was purchased? Were the tires re-balanced? Did they buy two new tires or four? Who knows? I sure dont. Time to ruin someones day at the corporate customer assistance department, I guess!Pros: Mostly friendly service, my third car was greatCons: Negligent owner, downright criminal requisition of my money, improbably inefficient methods for roadside car assistance.

After arriving at Avis, in Streamwood, Il., Jason greeted me by my first name, and advised me that he was upgrading me from a compact, to a midsize Subaru Legacy. The car was clean, inside and out, and performed flawlessly, on a trip to Las Vegas and back, getting around 35 miles per gallon. I always rent fromStreamwood Avis, they treat me like a member of the family.
